I had a sample of this perfume.
But this is just an average perfume, I do not recommend it.
There are thousands of them, scents like this. Fruity and floral barely perceptible.

Does this smell nice? Yes! Would I buy it again in the future? Absolutely no! Why? Because all of Anna Sui perfumes lack the longevity! Bottles are gorgeous, scents are nice, but there is just no longevity or projection. The catch is that I keep buying them as the bottles look so lovely and cute and I just can’t help it! If you are a bottle collector then buy it, otherwise not recommended!

When I tested them at the shop, they smelled very fresh, very citrusy, like lime. I bought them, but later I didn’t like them as they are very weak, you can spray them multiple times, but can’t feell nothing as fragnance disapears within seconds…

The fragrance shop had this for £15 for 50ml so I thought it was worth a punt even though the notes seemed really odd on paper. Opens with a big hit of mango which quickly disappears into a woody smell which seemed to be fading into nothing within an hour. “Where’s the rose??” thinks I, 2 hours later I sniffed my hand and there’s a pretty floral rose with OK projection on it. “oh right, of *course* the *rose* is the secret”
I wonder how many people didn’t check again after the wood phase and just gave the perfume up as a bad job. I can’t help but feel they have been far too clever for their own good here. But still, I give them all due respect for actually trying something different.

Fairy Dance, Secret Wish by anna sui was an impulse buy from poshmark. I got the small 0.5 fl oz , and the bottle is pointed in a bullet type shape, it’s the exact shape of louboutin new lipstick line, he dubbed the shape “stiletto” , no it doesn’t look like shoes. the bottle won’t stand up on its own, so it jut rolls around on my vanity, so im keeping it in the cute pink retail box, until I trade or sell it. they used this bottle only on the 0.5 oz size. the fragrance is fresh and floral with a sour dill pickle element. It isn’t the right scent for me.

I received this as a gift. It’s sweet and cute. But I feel like I’ve sat at the wrong table. The children’s table. It’s a shame, as this could have been a nice citrusy scent, but it just lacks longevity and silage. Stays on my skin for a hot minute.

The rose, florals, & woods overpower the fruitiness. Can be headache-inducing…would apply lightly to arms or wrists, but no higher. My only Anna Sui purchase – will probably be my last.
Finally gave this away. It just wasn’t my kind of scent.

Fresh fruity-woodsy scent, I get mangoes but mostly citrus and woods. Pleasant, inoffensive, and soft perfume. But not as complex as I would prefer and as other users have mentioned, lasting power isn’t really there.
It’s a linear scent to me, fresh and fruity and woodsy. Pleasant, but just not the most sophisticated. A great scent to wear to work, especially if you work at a more conservative office. Also a great casual summer scent, not too overwhelming or powerful.

Fresh yummy mango scent. I would have loved this a few months ago, but I prefer more complex scents now. Still, this is not bad a choice if you would like a simply perfume.

A common complaint about Anna Sui perfumes is their longevity, it seems. Yes, there are other Anna Sui fragrances that disappear within a few hours on me, but Fairy Dance lasts much longer.
The mandarin orange is crisp, bright and juicy, supported by the mango. The bamboo adds an interesting touch which I love, tempering it down with a scent of paper that holds your attention. If you’re not familiar with bamboo, it’s a clean-smelling note. Fairy Dance is also supported by the mustiness of vetiver nicely to create a fragrance that’s not all sickly sweet fruit. It moves on to a creamier scent as the vanilla kicks in, almost reminiscent of the old-fashioned Good Humor orange and vanilla ice cream bars, but not quite as sweet.
The bottle is chunky and the topper is a cute fairy sitting aloft and if you’re a collector, it’s a nice one to have. All in all, Fairy Dance surprised me as a tropical yet earthy fragrance with a fresh feel to it. I think it’s seasonless because of the bamboo/vetiver/vanilla notes. Daytime, sleeptime, it’s a comfortable scent to wear.

I love the mango and the bamboo in this one it is a very weak fragrance I wish it was stronger and project more overall this is a sweet fruit floral scent but not too sweet and over powering I love the packaging, the shape of the bottle is classy to me and I love the pink tinted gold liquid inside of the bottle

This fragrance is nice, very cute and innocent young fruity fresh scent. I like the mango it isn’t at all syrupy like a feared. It had all the potential to be good. But it is so weak…I can barely pick out the notes. I wonder if whoever sent it to me on eBay dilluted it. Not even worth the cheap price. at least the bottle is cute.

This is a little more than just a cute bottle.
At first it was sweet, fruity, girly pink kind of fragrance. After some minutes it developed amazing green and fresh bamboo note. I also sense some very fresh and nice peony. One must be grateful for those notes, as this fragrance is very cheap. I didn’t expect it to be that good.
Very nice, fresh, inoffensive scent. No overwhelming sweeetness or sickening tropical notes. (Mango is not that sweet in this one).

This was a blind-buy and is one of those ‘It smells exactly like I thought it would!’ frangrances thanks to the (votes on the) notes listed and accurate reviews from wonderful fellow Fragrantica users!
I really get the mango+pink pepper+mandarin orange topnote blast right away (along with bamboo which also wants to join in the fun a bit early.) I really got this one for the mango but I am loving how the mango and the mandarin orange are playing off each other. It’s such an obvious good pairing that I’d never thought of! I do notice the rose/peony combo blending in too, which is a treat.
Overall, I would describe this as a fun, flirty little peppery mango+mandarin scent with a bit of floral depth to it. I can imagine anyone from a 13 year old girl to a spring breaker partying in Cancun wearing this and even older women all the way to the old-folks-home being able to pull it off, depending on the context (Happy funtime! not serious business time.) Even though it’s a very “feminine” scent, I’d say boys who like scents like Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy might enjoy this one a lot too. And anyway, scent shouldn’t have a gender, it’s just liquid!
And my typical gourmandophile warning: Don’t let the mango fool you, even though it comes very close to being gourmand, it’s not gourmand! It’s fruity-floral.
    Enjoy! (I know I will!)

I love Anna Sui’s Dolly Girl and Secret Wish,so when I saw Secret Wish with Flight of Fancy and Fairy Dance in a 3 pack of travel sprays,I snapped it up ($15!).
Fairy Dance is another light,spring/summery fruity floral. It is an all around soft scent,I spray quite heavily throughout body, hair and clothes (maybe 10-12 sprays) and it is not overpowering.More along the lines of a body splash, but I don’t mind as I can carry around the small 5ml bottle in my purse for touch ups throughout the day.
I can’t pick out individual notes but it is a perfect blend of fruit, floral and woods (not spicy or too sweet).
Her fragrances are so feminine and fresh, perfect for gift giving as I don’t see how anyone could find them offensive.

I found this with 18 euros and thought of trying it before buying it. (yes it costs 30 in my country sto 18 is a good deal). But anyway, the bottle is a piece of art indeed. I could have bought it just from it. The perfume is ok. But during the first hour it is strange. Maybe because of the bamboo. I never liked its smell anyway, but sometimes it works ok in the mixing (of perfumes). So, for the first hour I could smell something plastic, like the head of a plastic doll. Seriously. Plastic with the addition of fruits. Well it wasn’t that bad. After the plastic goes away, for the next few hours I stayed with a nice flowery scent. In me the longevity was ok. I put it at about 14.30 and I could smell it until 21:00 (just the base notes). In terms of smell, I would have given it something like 6/10. It is nice but not something special after the plastic fades. (well to smell like a doll’s head is something special after all haha).
So if it was for 10 euros I would have bought it to wear at work during summer and spring. Maybe even for an afternoon picninc. But 18 euros (24 dollars) I don’t know if it worths it.

Like I did with Flight of Fancy, I fell in love with the bottle first before the scent. Anna Sui’s bottles are always beautiful that sometimes the juice doesn’t do the bottle justice. In this case, however, it’s a fair play. Fairy Dance is as pretty as it gets–pretty decorative bottle, pink elixir, wonderful smell.
I expected it to smell really sweet, but it turns out that even Forbidden Affair is sweeter than this, which is a good thing. Fairy Dance is nicely balanced, with a lot of tropical sweet fruits and flowers in it. Think a very mouthwatering fruit cocktail. The opening is sour-sweet, not as harsh as Flight of Fancy but not as cloying as Forbidden Affair. It’s just nice, even though longevity and sillage are below average so you may need to go to town with this one.
Overall, I find it very likeable without being too generic. I have Flight of Fancy and Forbidden Affair, and even though they all are quite similar to each other (my friends can’t really differentiate the three), Fairy Dance emerges as the most likeable amongst my clique. It’s sweet but not cloying, it’s sour but not harsh. Like ripe mango with a hint of sourness in it. Lovely bottle for younger audience.
    Rating: 7.5/10

Sweet and woody, I think the name Fairy Dance is appropriate for this perfume. When I see mango listed as a prominent note, I immediately think of sweet sugary scents like the ones from Escada and Bath and Body Works, which I do like, but this mango is not quite like that. This mango is equally paired with a woody base. Although this scent is still sweet and fruity, its more than just that. There is a citrus note that is very bright at first spray but fades quickly, leaving a floral woody mango drydown that’s definitely sweet but, at the same time, seems a bit more grown up. Mango and wood seems like an odd combination but here, I think it works well. Sadly, this doesn’t last long, and I find myself respraying about every two hours.

    Hmmm. A bit disappointed.
I used to have secret wish magic romance which i loved. But this not so much. I smell mango, lots of floraly notes and a touch of pepper. its very soft and light but it smells like some kind of mango air freshener :/
If my 9yo daughter likes it i’ll let her keep it. if not then well i guess i wasted my money!

Love this!! I get more citrus at first then a mellow sweetness arrives. After 30 minutes, I’m still not getting any woody notes. Quickly softened to something that will work for work.
EDIT: Love the citrus opening. No dry down as this is totally gone on my skin after 45 minutes. Lasts longer on my clothes but after an hour or two it sort of smells like chewing gum.

I bought this perfume today not because i am in love! I bought it cos it is nice just like the other Anna Sui fragrances! i love the bottle and the fact of her fragrances is there is no risk! They are all fresh, close to skin and smells nice! i would love to own all her perfumes both for the smell and bottles!

You know some perfumes just feel so “you”, everything smells just right. I haven’t bought this, but this scent clicks with me. I don’t even need to buy a bottle that every one likes and pretend to like it or grow into it. I’m new to perfumes, but I think the secret is to find one that smells right to u. I can say this is one of my signature scents.. And I haven’t bought it yet..

This perfume I bought as soon as it came out since Anna Sui has been my favourite perfumista because her scents are unique sexy & super special in my opinion so I went ahead & purchased this , I do think its a vey pretty perfume, & I loved wearing it the only weird thing is since I bought it I don’t really find myself reaching for it at all , I prefer dolly girl & the secret wish magic romance those two are my faves!!!

This perfume does not get enough credit! I just received Fairy Dance from my boyfriend as an early Christmas present and I can’t get enough of it . Not only is the box and packing beautiful but the scent itself is fantastic. If anyone is feeling glum on a Monday morning this perfume is ideal as its light fragrance boosts confidence and mood ; it also lasts forever and I don’t even have the concentrated version!

Had a tester today and it just arrived in Malaysia a week ago
Strong and does not fade easily
Apparently my boyfriend love it more than I do and wanted to buy me as a present
    Smells fresh, mango

I recieved a tester of this with a perfume order, it is a lovely fruity/floral perfume, I went straight out and bought a bottle for my Mother for Christmas as I knew she would love this scent. (I was proven correct when she tried the tester herself the next day)
It seems like a perfume which teens & people in their 20s especially would enjoy but I believe it is quite universal =)
Also, the bottle is beautiful =)
