I purchased Chanel Blue de Chanel EDP last week and yesterday I applied a spray to my left arm and a spray of Milton Lloyd America Look on my right. The Milton Lloyd was ordered after buying the Chanel just to satisfy my curiosity.
What was apparent was the kind of differences you’d expect from comparing a £5 ebay fun tin and a £66 Boots treat.
Having said that in isolation it’s not a bad stab at all. Close enough for what you pay.
Ignoring the comparison it’s a pleasing fragrance with very impressive performance.
Great for knocking around in doing odd jobs or shopping on a sunny day.

Doesn’t smell THAT much like Bleu de Chanel. If you love that and are looking for an accurate dupe then I think you’d be disappointed with this. The opening is like candied citrus peel with a lot of ginger, and it almost has some slightly oriental stuff going on once the citrus calms down … can’t put my finger on it exactly but could be the amber and spices vibe. The base is fresh & woody as opposed to the metallic Bleu.
I was a little disappointed with the lack of resemblance, because I’d pegged Milton Lloyd as the best for that, but this is still well worth the £5 you’ll pay.
