Well this is the best summer fragrance.. then u have
Burberry weekend once it cools a little then you have

I just got an almost full bottle of Extreme. The word Extreme is on the back of the bottle which you can read thru the front and pour homme is on the front below BVLGARI. It smells great, I’m only wondering is this just another production of it. It’s hard to think this isn’t legitimate because it smells like the “Real Deal Hollyfield”.
Can anyone give me some input?

Bvlgari Extreme is a good one from Bvlgari , very suitable for summer & a complement getter ( I can only get grapefruit & pepper ) but smells great on me.
    Longevity :6 to 8 hours.
Projection : up to 4 hours.
    Smell : 7/10.
    Bottle Design : 7/10.
P.S. Try to Purchase again by God’s Well.

Damn! this is better than the original. A phenomenal Orange, Tea, green and Woodsy scent. This is a classic. I would not hesitate to buy this one.

One of my first green tea fragrances. Liked it from the get-go, and it was a purchase from research on here. Thanks!
My bottle from 2011 is no wimp. The tea note is pronounced and demands attention. It is not a comforting tea, it is a “look at me, I’m here” scent. It’s probably due to the fir and other woody/green notes.
The citrus is present too, but as a supporting role.
Longevity is 6-7 hour range, and sillage is decent too.
Definitely worth a test, if not a purchase. Price is fair for what you get. Not one of my top 5 , but above average.

    Very strong citrus scent
Maybe just my nose, but i hardly detect any other notes after the top notes gone..
Office co-workers ; “You do smells like orange..” (True story)
    Longevity : 8 / 10
    Projection : 5 / 10

This is a dark, orangy/tangerine fragrance with a hint of tea that smells sophisticated and deep but not fresh or clean. I find it pleasant and inoffensive but not extra special. I think Spring/Autumn will be the best time to wear this and it may be a good neutral work scent, although there are other more interesting fragrances out there. I read that this is now discontinued. It is a pity and I am glad that I experienced this one, but this is not one that I will necessarily miss.

    A meditation in a bottle.
A gorgeous citrus, green and calming tea scent.
This is such a relaxing scent..sometimes I’ll put it on before bed.
It has an uplifting positive vibe..
    Love it.

Iam male 37yrs old and started collected 1 year ago. I have not visited this site in a while and have accumulated about 50 decants samples, out of the blue, I felt this needed some credit. With all these choices, mostly modern, post 2000 fragrances in the spring and summer I reach for this. I can not tell that this frag is from 1998. It is timeless. It has average longevity about 5hrs but in the morning it is perfect. This is what I go for with all my choices and i can not believe this came out in 1998.Wont offend, not too strong great for warm mornings. highly recommend,

Great clean, fresh, vibrant, citrus and green masculine with some woods and musk for depth. It has a sophistication to it- could be formal or casual. Surprising projection.
    Great fragrance

I liked my first BPHE – fresh grapefruit scent came first then the woody note with a hint of tea afterwards – it was no offensive to anyone and very versatile. The projection and the sillage were not powerful but at least some people could recognise and it lasted on my skin for 5 – 6 hours.
Sadly there’s a lot of fake or “out-of-sell-by-date” BPHE in circulation and my second bottle was one of them, although I purchased it from “so-called” trusty online retailer (I could name it, but I think I shouldn’t do it here). The smell just disappeared after 5 minutes and no projection at all.
So my advice is; buy it from official Bvlgari counters or duty free shops at airports – do not trust dodgy online retailers nor eBay etc., even though the price looks so attractive to you.
Once again, the smell is gorgeous if you’ve got a right one.

    Woody fresh
This has the light bvlgari freshness that most of their frags have.
On s friedn this came across as more ‘liquid’ in the middle and end, on me the fresh woods and light aromatics were more promenant.
    Clean, fresh woody.

  14. :

    Fresh cold zesty green tea!
The freshness of a cocktail like Mojito but somehow made with green tea. I hope this makes sense.
This smells very natural to me.
Always, I mean always elevates the mood. Bit of woodiness helps make it a more balanced and sophisticated fragrance.
Spray lightly so it is more alluring and creamy
    Summer spring in a bottle
Unfortunately performance is a bit below average for me
    Age 30 up
Great outdoor summer day frag – leaning casual
    7/10
Would mark it higher if it wasn’t for the poor longevity (4-5hours)
Best in the bvlgari homme line.

I’ve had this bottle my collection for about five years now. BPHE wasn’t one of my favorites because of my gravitation towards the sweet smelling fragrances. Two sprays to my arm last evening, and two scrubbing showers later, and BPHE is still going strong. WOW! It’s not bad but I’m now hooked on those sweeter fragrances.

One of my favorite fragrences that i currently own. It is classy, fresh, and has personality. The first time i sprayed it on it was pleasing and citrusy with a slight metalic bite to it. But after about 30 minutes it started to change on my skin, and i quickly realized that this was a gem. I fell in love with the drydown of this fragrance, the creamy woodiness is somewhat reminiscent of Chanel style. This is one of my most complimented frags.
    Scent-8/10

    Compliments- 8/10
    Overall- 8/10

I hope they relaunch this fragrance with more beautiful bottle (cap) like they did with Eau de Vert etc.. The plastic cap is so cheap, why don’t they give it a chrome cap like Pour Homme Noir.

If you want to smell pure, clean, classy, and handsome! The creamy clean dry-down is phenomenon! Its not overpowering but the dry down becomes a skin scent that lasts and lasts for hours even days! The initial blast is refreshing tea and bergamot then dries down to a clean, ambery cream that many people find pleasant and alluring!

The opening is an overwhelming blast of grapefruit. The opening is too much. If you are going out somewhere apply this cologne like an hour before you go out. What is AMAZING about this cologne is when it transforms in the dry down. It becomes incredibly creamy. Like some sort of lemon cream pie dessert. The dry down is to die for. The dry down lasts so long, that you can sleep in that shirt wake up the next day and smell that lemon cream pie. It lasts even longer than that. I kid you not, you can put that shirt in your dirty laundry basket and smell that creamy smell days later if you take a whiff of that shirt.
That creamy smell is very close to your skin but you will get whiffs of it as you move. It is one of the longest lasting fragrances I’ve ever seen. But be warned about the opening. I was in car once with people and I foolishly applied about 4 sprays 15 minutes before leaving my house. Everyone had to roll the windows down in the car because the scent was so over powering. People were sneezing and coughing, choking on air. I kid you not. I felt bad, it was my fault though. I knew how strong that opening is.
You sort of have to over apply to appreciate that dry down (since it becomes a skin scent, a skin scent that lasts like 10+ hours on my skin) but just don’t subject other people to that opening.
I think the absolute best way to describe this fragrance is: This is a fragrance for you. It is not meant for other people to smell you. You get to live in this scent bubble that is amazing for 10+ hours. Sometimes I’ll wear this fragrance just so I can sleep in that shirt and wake up and smell the scent still on me. You might think the fragrance is gone, but put your nose to your skin (your wrist, arm) and take a whiff. Yep, the scent is still there.
The lemon cream! You dudes need to put respect on this cologne’s name.

Green, slightly metallic, sharp, airy. Fairly synthetic smelling but not unpleasant. Very 90s in the vein of a Chanel Platinum Egoiste but more subdued. My bottle is from 2011 and it smells the same as the newer ones. It might be an ideal gym or work scent. Not going to choke anyone out. I’ve never received any compliments wearing this and I’ve all but finished a bottle.
Longevity is above average (7-9 hours) on my skin with moderate projection for 4-5 hours.
A 7.0/10 for me. A safe, clean, 90s scent that doesn’t feel horribly dated and is good for the office.

  23. :

    4 out of 5

Very nice fresh light green scent. This is perfect for office wear as it isn’t too heavy but there is enough there for people to notice. My first time wearing this to work and had 2 compliments this morning.
This would make a good work signature scent for the warmer months as it is clean, classy, refined and inoffensive.
Decent longevity and sillage. I keep getting whiffs after 6 hours.
    8/10

I have just bought this Bvlgari for US$38 which produced on November 2016. The smell is nice, clean and soft. This is the safe fragrance for use in air-conditioned office space.
However, the opening is very similar to the fake Jaguar black perfume that is often sold in shopping malls with a price of US$4. Although the dry down and the performance is better for Bvlgari. Also the spray looks cheap.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

This is a classy scent that easily be loved. Great in every aspect especially the dry down. Only negative is the projection especially in a hot humid climate. I understand about its quiet characteristic non-scream type but still I prefer a better longevity and projection. I wouldn’t recommend this one for any person living in a hot climate country as it will disappear so quickly then become a skin scent for not over 2 hours at best.

@Martin__ my bottle was produced 2014. I don’t use it a lot but is my top 5. I’m thinking it may have been reformulated, *AGAIN*? The new one is different, very dry, herbal and bitter to my nose.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

Bvlgari Pour Homme Extreme is quiet elegance in a bottle, which whispers class in every spray. I’d agree with what other reviewers say that this is not the kind of fragrance that screams, not the “look at me” kind of way. Yet it sure does get attention, in a calm and confident and masculine manner. The green notes. The tea. The lavender. The wood, too. In the middle of all these notes, among others, my nose registers a slight hint of balsam fir—which I love the most about this fragrance. To me, it gives off the vibe of being in the woods that’s teeming with greens, immersing in a calm lake of fresh, sparkling water, while your office suit hangs by the twig of a nearby tree.
I think this fragrance can be worn indoors and outdoors, casual and formal settings, be it day or night. Longevity is great; sillage is moderate. It is not offensive despite the “Extreme” suffixed to its name. Where I come from, we only have summer and rainy seasons, so it’s pretty an all-season fragrance here. What I don’t like, though, is that from where I come, this is the bestselling fragrance on a famous online shopping site. And the last thing I want is to smell like everyone else. But I’d still call it a classic masterpiece from the House of Bvlgari; it deserves to be an essential to one’s fragrance collection.
I still have my very first bottle of this. Given to me on the Christmas Eve of 2015. One-fifth of the bottle’s juice is what remains. Whether I plan to empty it soon or not, I don’t know yet. Maybe I never will. Maybe I’ll buy another bottle just to preserve the content of the old one. Along with the vibe and good old memories it carries.

@PocketRocket – it was alredy reformulated few years ago.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

Any news of reformulation? I have around 15% left in my 3 year old bottle so I checked the local mall for repurchase. Opening is very different, it’s dry and very herbal. Is it just me?

  30. :

    5 out of 5

My original signature (besides Curves and other cheapies). I bought my first bottle of this juice when I was 15 back in 2001. I had no idea what I was buying… I bought it cheap off of a frag website after reading the notes, like I had any clue. Well, it became my signature for the better part of my 20’s. I still love it today although I feel like I used to get better performance from it.
Anyhow, the initial blast is a crisp bergamot/citrus/tea concoction that is refreshing. It stays that way for a bit until a very Earthy, almost dirty (yet fresh somehow) scent takes over with traces of the top lingering throughout. It stays green for a couple hours until it fades away. Nothing complex (I could be extremely used to it) to my nose but a light, fresh Earthy, semi-citrusy smell.
Longevity is pretty good. I’d say about 8 hours on my skin. Sillage is arms length for the first two, close for the remainder but people will still notice. I’d say this is very versatile. Office, date, night, day.. Whatever. It’s not there to bother you. I think a man younger than 25 wearing this will seem more dignified than the rest (don’t overdo it) and it’s safe for all ages after that. Definitely a winner.

    Pretty damn good Bvlgari
Let me start by saying that I think this is one of the most underrated designer houses. This smells like optimism and sun is class and elegance in the bottle. Bittersweet citrus tea with woodsy dry down sparkling and surprising classy, refreshing, luxurious and very long lasting
I found the old formula with batch code 10054AF1 (March 2000). Damn it lasts forever, flawless projection It was one of the best ever made
    Perfect 10

  33. :

This is a classy scent, i like Bvlgari pour Homme line, but Extreme is my favorite. The scent itself is not so rich like you expected when you read the pyramide notes. Very green and very fresh..it’s quite linear but the scent is very pleasant to me, the green (grass) and citrus are very dominant, do not smell tea at all. If the original pour homme is a little bit “fruity” green and Soir is earthy green, this one is light green (all of them are freshies), longevity max : 5 hours in my skin
    Final score : 8/10

    Bought this for a friend.
He loves it, cost about $33 for a 3.4 Oz bottle.
The woody citrus notes, really draw you in.
It’s a safe buy, and makes a great gift.
Sillage is a foot away from the body and nine hours plus?

This one is far better than Bvlgari Pour Homme. It’s less weak and it smells so nice and fresh with touch of uniqueness.
Better overall than Pour Homme: better scent and better performance. However is still a weak scent.
I would have liked the performance to be stronger (projection & longevity) and it would have been perfect as every day Summer fragrance. But it’s still weak.
Besides, poor quality plastic cap (this bottle design perfumes for women come with metal cap).

  37. :

This scent is just perfect for the high summer heat. It’s soft, refreshing and invigorating. And very classy as well. For such retail price, it’s a steal. I’m about to say that Bvlgari is becoming one of my favorite houses.

Citrus tea opening. The tea lasts about 1 hour then grapefruit comes into being. The grapefruit is identical to the one in Happy by Clinique for Men.
    Overall, a good fragrance.

A weak 3-4 hours longevity with the December 2015 batch. Citrus tea opening, musky heart and base.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

It smells super fresh and clean. It has a green scent like being in the woods or a rolling green field that has grapefruit trees and tea leaves. It lasts an 8 hour work day as far as longevity. Projection I am not really sure though because I haven’t asked anyone if they smell it on me but I can smell it on my cloths from across the room so there is that. It probably isn’t the greatest out there but I absolutely love this one. It is my signature.

This may be another victim of the Regulations that resulted in removal of oakmoss from perfumes. If you liked the original then this is just as good and even better in some ways. You can look at the notes and I assure you it’s all in there except oakmoss as this has moderate performance. Projection and performance are just good enough for it to be a light fresh and slightly green scent for the office. Just keep an atomizer if you like the smell which is one of the best but highly underrated probably because it’s not beastly
It lasts for at least 8 hours

The opening is not my favorite on this one but it dies off quickly and leaves behind a beautiful fresh creamy scent that I love. Almost a dead ringer for montblanc’s “Starwalker” with just a touch less citrus and a hair more sandalwood creaminess. Performs better than Starwalker too, however still a short lived fragrance at approximately 4 hours. This version is almost identical to the original but both differ significantly from the other flanker “Soir” in that they lack a green citrus vibe and offer more smooth creaminess. Very nice and safe scent I see being more versatile than most for different seasons and events. Great value online also, got a 3.4 oz bottle for under $30 so that’s a +. I’d say this is best for men over 25. Beautiful presentation as well.

  49. :

Like many of the other reviewers have said, this masterpiece whispers “class” like no other fragrance I’ve ever found. The opening can be a bit much on the grapefruit, but it is quickly mitigated by neroli and that amazing tea note. The tea is enhanced by a chemical I noticed on the box and looked up. It is added to give it a clean smell, and is used in many products. It is the secret ingredient here. It last all the way through the dry down and just smells refreshing. It lifts one’s spirits. When the top notes start to fade, the cardamon, nutmeg, woods and balsam are so perfectly blended that one can barely distinguish them. The pepper does dominate just a bit for a short while. It just smells like heaven, because the sandalwood and musk start to poke through pretty quickly. The best part of this fragrance is definitely the clean, smooth, sexy musk that lingers for days on your clothes, and will still be their when you shower. I like to layer this fragrance. Some in the morning, then when just the base notes are left, another blast, which eventually leaves plenty of that wonderful, subtle musk. I wish it had twice the base notes, because they are they most incredible smell in the world. I’ve tried everything from drug store specials to the most costly fragrances in the world, and nothing comes close. I do not share the opinions of those who compare it to other fragrances. Yes, there are some mild similarities, but nothing has this masterful blend of base notes. Nothing. I get more compliments from this fragrance than any other. And, to me, it is nothing like any of the other Bvlgari fragrances. It deserves it’s own name. I have been so disappointed by all of the others. They have this chemical that is in 90% of the fragrances to come on the market in the last 10 years, male and female, and I cannot scrub it off my skin fast enough! Fortunately, they left it out of this one. It is one of a kind, and, luckily, where I live, I don’t think I’ve ever smelled it on anyone else, so it is definitely a signature fragrance. When people ask what it is, I’m hesitant to tell them, and usually don’t, because it is a well kept secret. If they ever stop making it, I don’t know what I’ll do. There is just no comparison. I like Terre D’Hermes about half as much, but it’s nothing like it.
I have to wonder if the people who say it doesn’t last long are the poor souls without the musk receptors for it, because it lasts a long time! It stays close to the skin, but it is exactly what skin should smell like. Nice, clean skin after a long session of love making. It was love at first smell (after trying hundreds of others). And the love affair is still going strong 15 years later after trying hundreds of others. It’s more than a fragrance. It’s aromatherapy for me. If I’m not feeling well, I’ll spray some on, close my eyes and just enjoy every moment of the dry down. It really is like three fragrances in one. Each stage is so different from the others. Absolute masterpiece!

I discovered Bvlgari Pour Homme by a fortuitous walk around the Saks 5th Ave. men’s counter in 1996 and loved it! Bought it and wore it everyday until 1999 when I discovered Bvlgari Pour Homme Extrême- which satisfied my one frustration with the original- longevity! Thank you, Jacques Cavallier for this clean, crisp, enigmatic, masculine blend of pepper, tea, and light woods!
At first it’s all shimmering citrus and pepper, then the Asian tea vibe and light sandalwood shine along with the pepper and a hint of balsam sweetness and iris over cedar and musk.
This juice smells expensive and gives off a light, subtle trail. It’s enticing and mysterious without screaming for attention. It’s amazing for anytime of the day or evening, crisp and clean, out with friends or by yourself.
If you’re looking for a fragrance that can stand out alongside the endless stream of stuff that all smells the same, this is among the few that accomplish that. Art in a bottle, Bvlgari Pour Homme Extrême.

Opens up with a blast of citrus that’s nice but it’s gone in, not exaggerating, 30 seconds. After the citrus subsides I get earthy notes and the tomato leaves that some describe. In the drydown I’m getting the Bvlgari tea note though it doesn’t smell like tea to me.
Typical to Bvlgari I get good longevity and weak projection. It’s quite subtle. Overall, a calm, clean smelling green type of scent. Appropriate for daytime office wear. It’s not bad but there are a lot of other fragrances of this type I would reach for first such as Mugler Cologne.

    The 100 Days Challenge – Day 2
This is like diving into the cold sea. Perfect for warm weather: it brings a refreshing cloud that it is not marine, but still evokes the pleasure of water touching the skin and the feeling of immersion. Beautiful. The tea note makes it classy and different, and the whole composition while being citrusy and cooling, is suitable also for chillier days because of its atemporal chicness. The effect you get when you spray is instant glory: calming and confident altogether, but not in a defiant, “look at me” kind of way. It’s confidence relies on balance and serenity. An invisible superpower, that radiates when you need it the most. Put some Eau on, and let all the everyday chaos be unseen. You will leave a royal trail while going through it.
    Today’s word: Elegance.

I finally got hold of a bottle of this. For some reason it’s now almost impossible to find where I am (France). I always loved the original version, but found it too weak. Not this one. This is a great fresh crisp scent with a pleasant subtle dry down. It has excellent longevity on me, which I can’t say about a lot of perfumes, but the sillage is not that big. For me it’s a classy scent and now that spring has arrived I’ve started using it as my work scent.

Bvlgari Extreme for men- The word extreme is usually associated with things that go above and beyond the plus of an equation, however, the word extreme in the case of Bvlgari Extreme for Men goes in the opposite direction, below and descending exceedingly from the minus symbol. It is rather sad and unfortunate for this fragrance because what we can make out of the scent is rather pleasant indeed. The deliciously crafted notes disappear almost as fast as one applies it to his/her skin, as if my flesh were the fabric of a super massive black hole. This fragrance refused to project as it was captured by the event horizon of the black hole never to release it’s cleverly crafted information ever again. I will give this fragrance another chance at another date, perhaps this coming summer when things get more muggy and humid. The fragrance did for a brief moment expel a bit of a spring/summertime air about it. It may be that the dry winter air killed this fragrance instantly. Las Vegas is known for drying things out whether it be skin, eyes, hair and vocals, it’s a dastardly thing for singers here in Las Vegas, I should know I am one of them. On the other hand, many of the other reviewers reported the same weakness in sillage and longevity as well. I also only have this in a mini splash form, The spray may prove better for this fragrance. We will see what happens in summertime when I give this another try. Bvlgari, I still love you, do not fret, You are still one of my top favorite Fragrance houses.

So far,i would say this is my signature scent because it is one perfume i have replaced a few times, unlike the others that i don’t go back to.It has a citrus, crispy scent that is pleasant and even though it could do better in terms of longevity,it is still a good buy.I will give it a 7/10.

Easy to like, a little harder to love.
This is a fragrance that was recommended for the tropical heat. To this effect, its very good. It has an uplifting Fresh tea and lemon accord that’s not going to leave a stinky trail behind. You can safely blind buy… nobody will be offended by this. Buy, definitely if you love fresh tea and citrus notes.
My problem with it is definitely not the smell. My problem with it is that there is not enough of it.
It has very poor projection and longevity in hot humid weather.
To be honest it has almost no projection after the first hour.
I also bought Issey Miyake Yuzu, which smells very similar to this. It has the same problem as Homme Extreme in the silage/projection department, however, it outshines Extreme and projects better and has longer life on your skin in the tropics. Though only slightly.
Love the tea notes in Extreme tho… I think this would work well in the European late spring / Early Summer in warm but not hot weather. Over 30C this stuff seems to evaporate.

I was waiting to get it anxiously. once i got it and wear the first spray, it smelled too sharp to my nose up to the level that i felt regretted to buy it. but after an hour or two, i smelled an amazing accords and i was really enjoying it. however it doesn’t has a high Sillage level, it is long lasting for about 6-8 hours.

Tried the first spray only on my both wrist today, the smell make me imagine that i am sitting in the middle of the green field of summer with fresh breeze across me,behind was full off tree and bird are chirping on and off, beside of me was served a cup of hot green tea with few piece of lemon and some cookies on the table.
This is totally insane!the scent was so nice!just cant stop to smelling my wrist the whole day.I thought that the smell will vanish after nice 4 hours beccause i found the drydown are getting mild and creamy. After i came back to my house at night, sitting on the sofa reaching a remote control.Suddenly i smell somekind of fresh baked famous amous cookies scent. Was searching around where are those cookies located.Unfortunately i realise those cookies smells came from my wrist..
I can say that projection and longevity of this fresh juice will never die.Belive me,it works silently and be with u all the time. The smell will not overstrong but it loud enough to someone even it fool myself to feel the magic of the scent. My rate for this juice is 9.9/10

This is one of the best summer scents i’ve ever smelt. It is so fresh and so gooood… It lasts 8 hours for sure, not projecting all of the time but u can be sure u’ll get 3-4 hours of good 1 meter (3 feet) projection.
Sometimes it does remind of Eau fraiche but they do not look alike. it kinda reminds of still green not yet grown tomatos but it’s a good thing for memit reminds of my childhood and jumping and rolling in the grass and the bushes 🙂 It hass a lot of class,it is not to be worn buying beer,or chiling behind the department store wearing shorts and white tshirt. Definetly buyng this again and again.

I love the dry down of this fragrance. After a few hours it becomes a skin scent but it becomes so creamy. That creamy smell lingers on my skin/clothes even the following day. Its amazing how long the dry-down stays. If you kept the shirt in your hamper you could smell the dry down days later. If I know I’m going to go to some place later in the day I’ll spray a bit more than necessary on me at first just for that dry-down. Be careful though because the inital blast of this fragrance might give people headaches from that strong Grapefruit note if you apply too much. But the dry down is to die for since it smells so completely different from the initial smell of the fragrance. For that I consider it a masterpiece, not many fragrances that I’ve encountered have that ability to be so different and so beautiful from beginning to end.
