Ava Luxe Amande opens with a bold blast of bitter almond paired with a boozy licorice/anise. Almond is often paired with a cherry accord in perfumery, and thankfully I do not detect that here.
The heart has one of the best whipped cream notes I’ve smelled – super creamy and luxe, but not overly sugared. For such a big, strong opening, Amande quickly settles down to a very quiet finish… just a bit of almond and sandalwood.
It’s too sweet for me, but I would recommend it to gourmand lovers.

I tend to find almond perfumes very powdery but this is not a powdery almond it’s definitely sweet! I love it. It’s not listed but I also smell licorice.
