This is the first almond fragrance I have tried in which I actually smell the dryness of the tree, as amplified by the powderiness of the composition. As a result this isn’t sweet in the least, it’s intense sawdust with a sharp, lacquer-like almond tone, I smell it and I instinctively start rubbing my fingertips, it’s that chalky. Very different, very enjoyable.

Too powdery for me 🙁 otherwise great longevity and silage, especially considering it is a cologne!

UNFORTUNATLY I GET THE URINE NOTE IN THIS PERFUME AND IT COST ME THE EARTH TO GET IT SHIPPED HERE.ITS NOTHING LIKE MAZZOLARI ALSSANDRO WHICH I OWN .ALLESANDRO IS A THICKER ,SWEETER PERFUME AND LOVELY BUT LONGEVITY IS POOR..IV HAD THIS URINE NOTE BEFORE IN VARIOSe PERFUMES AND HAD TO SWOP OR RETURN THEM.I THINK THE DRY DOWN MAY BE BETTER FOR ME,ITS MY SKIN CHEMISTRY OR MY NOSE. ACCORDING TO THE REVIEWS THIS PERFUME SHOULD SHINE ,ANYONE WANT TO BUY A BRAND NEW BOTTLE.I JUST SPRAYED ALSSANDRO AND THeY ARE SIMILar but no urine to ruin it,i wonder what it can be.the bottle came from sicily ,from their online shop so its genuine, such a shame.

Soft, cozy, heavenly AND it lasts!I love almond. No I mean I LOVE ALMOND. Just as we chase for the perfect perfume with the perfect note arrangement, so I have been on the hunt for a comfort almond/floral/powder scent. Something along the lines of Mazzolari’s Alessandro (gorgeous but sillage and longevity were so abysmal on me I wanted to cry), Les Nereides Douceur de Vanille (like the softest, most comfortable tee you sleep in), Lorenzo Villoresi Teint de Neige (as innocent as a babe but rich and exotic at the same time). For me Ortigia Mandorlo/Almond encompasses all that and at a very decent price tag too.So- the softest floral powder mixed with a gourmand almond that is tastefully sweet and beautifully crafted. If that isn’t enough of a good recommendation, add on a good sillage and fantastic longevity, this lasted on me over 24 hours and possibly longer but I do wash my clothes 🙂

IMO, This is a mix between Heiotrope Etro and Villoresi Teint de neige! So it’s a powdery rather than a gourmand almond. It’s a cologne, but quite intense on my skin. Well done 🙂

There’s something I really like about this fragrance. It is very sweet and warm and smells like a holiday. I’ve worn Acqua di Parma’s Mandorlo in the past and this is comparable although this is less “biscuity” and smells cleaner and less of marzipan. I think it would make a great summer holiday fragrance, as along with the warmth and sweetness it has a happy, uplifting, yet cosy vibe. Unusual. Worth a try.
