Description

Mugler (Clarins) finally launches its masculine version of Alien – Alien Man. The new fragrance comes out in May 2018, announced as a powerful and seductive woody scent with fresh and elegant tones.

“The Alien Man is confident, strong and optimistic. His fragrance gives him an extraordinary power to become himself and achieve his dreams. Make it happen with determination, strength and positivity. “

The composition is woody, leathery and aromatic. As stated in the press release, the creation consists of vibrations: “Electric vibrations” includes beech wood and dill tones; “Sensual vibration” consist of leather and cashmere, while “magnetic vibration” includes white amber.

The fragrance is packed in a futuristic and geometric dark purple bottle with silver details on the stopper. The face of the perfume is model Lars Burmeister.

Alien Man is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette with a 100 ml refill bottle, a 200 ml hair and body shampoo, a 150 ml deodorant and a 75 ml deodorant in stick.

The nose behind this fragrance is Jean-Christophe Herault.

Looks like Clarins is needing to boost the love for this one… samples away!!
Ok, I got mine too and was very excited to try this, even with all the reviews being what they are.
The opening is very soft. Very surprising for a Mugler fragrance- it doesn’t jump out at you like the A*Men lineup (and that is the ONLY time I’ll make reference to A*Men. Alien is a completely different animal). The composition gains in strength as it settles but never becomes a powerhouse. I don’t believe it ever was intended to be. The notes come through clearly: for me, this is primarily an herbal scent. I get the dill, anise, and lavender immediately, and they combine to create a comforting, soft, gentle effect that lasts throughout. There is some wordiness and the leather warms things up a bit and gives it a slightly rougher edge, but remains in the background.
Overall, this is a nice, pleasant fragrance. The disappointment, I believe, folks are experiencing with Alien is that, given Mugler’s men’s fragrance history, it seems like a non sequitir. It feels more like something from Azzaro or perhaps YSL. I enjoy it myself, but don’t think I’ll be rushing out to buy a full priced bottle.

I get 24-hour longevity from the sample. But I don’t like it, way too sweet

I have received my sample today as well and NO! This is not what I got so prematurely excited about. It is good! And it stays for hours… but this is just a better version of Diors Sauvages, Chanel BLEs etc….Noting new and already boring. But it actually lasts for 6-8 hours

I too just got a sample from Clarins and was very excited to try this new Mugler scent that had so many complaints as well as adulation.
To me, it smells just like Elizabeth Taylor’s Passion for Men which I kinda liked back in the day but smells really dated today. It was instantly a Lavender/Amber mixture reminiscent of Passion. Its been on a few hours now and its starting to turn into mostly into a metalic lavender scent.
Not hating it but I think its boring and “been done”.

Received a nice sample of this from Clarins, since I belong to the Angel Circle (since 1994).
So disappointed! Alien Man smells basically like any other “Men’s Cologne” on the market. Generic, nothing exciting and absolutely not unique. In fact, it almost smells like an Axe/Lynx scent :-O
Longevity is 3-5 hours on my skin, fading each 30 mins or so. Projection a few feet, but not offensive.
Nice bottle, but for a Mugler scent….such a huge let down!
Not going to discuss the notes and ingredients, as that has been done….Seriously, this is just expensive Axe/Lynx spray!!! 🙁

I’ve changed my mind after giving it a second chance. I was too hasty in dissing it because I expected a blockbuster powerhouse which it isn’t. It IS a subtle and clever blend worthy of the mugler name now I’ve approached it from a new angle. There’s nothing I can liken it to and if you spray enough, 4 on one arm, it’s delicious and mystical. I enjoy it as a personal and warm mannered stranger who doesn’t demand to be liked but winks and smiles and offers trust once you trust them. Lesson learned on my part.
I now believe the reason why this was so long in being released after the female Alien was not because of laziness but working very hard behind the scenes to get it right. Think about it have Mugler ever made a bad fragrance? Well, maybe ice-men which did nothing for me.

If this fragrance is so mainstream and boring, why is it that I, as someone who has quite a wide-ranging and varied collection filled with challenging, left-field niche favorites, find myself wearing Alien Man every other day in the week since it arrived? I ordered it “blind” with low expectations given the ho-hum reception it’s received online. Fair enough. Can I understand why people are let down, given Mugler’s history of challenging, idiosyncratic, and cheeky compositions? Yes, of course. Alien Man is in no sense ostentatious. It’s not loud, it’s not brash, it doesn’t make a big statement. But, what it manages to be in a way that is rare, is simultaneously easy-going and broadly appealing without being insipid, cheap, or trite. Alien Man is not particularly alien in the sense of being weird. However, it does play with a sense of texture and aura, a sort of electricity, that draws on another connotation of “alien.” As others have mentioned, it opens with a somewhat rich, anise-touched bracingness, notably lacking obvious citrus, the effect of which, aided by birch smokiness, is like a low-level electrical current has been turned on. The fragrance hums. As it develops, it turns toward a slightly synthetic lavender-esque quality which I fear is a bit of dihydromyrcenol, though used sparingly enough that this may be the first composition where I can stand that completely overused aromachemical. Along with this cheerful “well groomed” note, a somewhat leathery, somewhat creamy amber woods warms up, never shouting, and developing into a sensual “warm skin” glow which lasts, very pleasantly, for many hours more. The effect is somewhat like static electricity. Where other, more cynical mass-market compositions would lean heavily on a cheap woody-amber base, or dud out after a showy opening, Alien Man keeps its integrity and affable sensibility throughout, neither offending nor caving to crassness. There’s something so appealingly reliable about this sort of composition — never a bad choice, will not betray you with an easy out — that it does indeed become addictive, something to reach for happily. There’s no need to put this up against fragrances designed to make a statement; that’s not what Alien Man does. But put up against other appeals to a wide market, and its smart take on approachability is the way to go. Even the most rarified, esoteric collection needs something like this, for all those days where the aim isn’t a shout, but a smart sport coat and an easy smile. I’ve started seeing Alien Man as more about an attitude or atmosphere than a classically-structured fragrance. Honestly, if it weren’t taken by Mugler’s other new flagship, Aura would have been an even better name. Approach it that way, it it all makes much more sense.

Got this a couple weeks ago. Have worn it several times. This is mugler’s foray into making something mass appealing, and to me, they nailed it.
Aromatic opening with dill, anise, and sweet. I pick up leather and smokiness as well, but they are not over the top. It is green but different, sweet but uncommonly so, and it lasts forever. The aromtics burn off after awhile and you are left with a sweet, musky, woodsy, leather drydown.
Take a blender and add in very sexy for him, a splash of le beau male, and a sprinkling or 2 of cedrat boise (the leathery sweet drydown of it). That is what this scent reminds me of. Nothing on the designer counters smell like this, even though it is meant to be mass-appealing. It lasts forever and I get compliments. I have never smelt alien women, so perhaps it works in my favor that I do not rush to compare, or force it to be in line with the original.
This is signature scent worthy. This develops, it is not linear. The ingredients are high quality. This is alien to the average nose though. I can see why this one would take time to try, re-try, revisit, and especially wear on skin. I am not saying i have an amazing nose, refined, or any of that. I am simply saying I can see why someone might smell this once, say no, and pass. Its like an album that at first listen rubs you the wrong way, but after a few listenings your mind completely changes. The note combinations are unique, especially the dill and anise together juxtaposed over the sweet, fruity notes.
As others who own this implore: Give this some time. Wear on skin, find a sample. Really give it some time. I think you might find you are getting a treat, and rewarded. Don’t we all want a fragrance that challenges us, one that we spend time with, and grow to love? Something that develops and changes during it’s duration? Alien man is worth the effort and time is all that i am trying to impress upon you.
Incredibly well-done, and sets up nicely for flankers should they go that route. A must-own for me.

It’s been released 7 months ago. Only 40 people own it, and only one person chose it as signature scent. Considering which brand it comes from and in which team it’s supposed to play can we call it a commercial failure so far?
I have tested it when it first came out and I currently use a few samples from time to time but only in the evening when I watch television, to give it all the attention it deserves. I actually had a long love story with Amen between age 20 and 25. Later on I moved onto other things. And now, aged 40, I feel I could not use it anymore as is would not fit my mature-guy next door-check shirt-v neck jumper image. And all the flankers don’t change anything about it.
So I was not expecting to sport anything by Mugler for the rest of my life apart from Cologne. However, after numerous evenings spent with Alien Man I can honestly say I’m having some kind of secret affair with this scent. It’s exciting, I keep going back to it but I’m not sure I would dare to wear it on daylight. One could expect it would be an attempt to be Mugler’s answer to Sauvage or 1 Million. But no, trust me, it’s different. It’s very modern but it does not have that clean vibe (Think Bleu de Chanel), it does not have that outrageous sweet bubblegum vibe (Think one Million or Spicebomb), it’s not an ambroxan bomb (Think Sauvage). It’s just as if they wanted to make another crowd pleaser but something went wrong. Which is good in this case. Many people are getting different things from it. Amber indeed, leather, wood, but all wrapped up in a sweet sweetness. I really wonder what makes it so special.
To make it short, look at my wardrobe. If I can like it then everyone should give it a chance. I will make a test and if people say it suits me, then YES, I will get a bottle.

Man, oh man. My first few days with this fragrance I experienced possibly the widest range of emotions regarding a fragrance I have ever felt. First spray and immediately I was DESTROYED. This IS NOT the fragrance I have asked every department store employee in my state for information on regarding its release. This CAN NOT be the cologne I waited years for and ordered immediately after receiving the surprise release email. This smells……. DESIGNER. This isn’t a Mugler, no possible way. After about 20 minutes wearing this fragrance, I picked up on a somewhat sweet scent in the air, soft and smoky. I grabbed the neck of my shirt and sniffed, but was still unsure of how I felt about this fragrance. It WASN’T A MUGLER. It wasn’t in your face and filling the room. It wasn’t completely unlike anything I had ever smelled. The rest of the wear was filled with confusion and disappointment, until my fiance came home from work and hugged me. Immediately she asked “what is that?! I love it!” Okay, point 1 for Mugler. I continued to sniff and sniff until I went nose blind to the intriguing, perplexing scent emanating from my body. After 2 more uneventful wears on consecutive days, I placed my bottle of Alien next to my Mugler collection and continued with my rotation. A few nights later, I tossed and turned and couldnt sleep. After hours of restlessness , I drifted off. I dreamt of being in love with a fragrance and telling everyone I saw about it. The next day I woke up and got dressed and wandered aimlessly to my collection. There was only one bottle I wanted to reach for: ALIEN. I sprayed three sprays and the scent finally revealed its true self to me. The opening is green by definition but strangely, purple (in a Versace Man sense of the word). It is definitely designer, but it doesnt smell similar to anything else you’ll find at any major retailer. The real magic begins as the opening fades and the smoky, soft leather and cashmere begin to show themselves. The white amber comes through a little in this stage to add a slight sweetness, but is definitely in a background role. This is when the scent is very PURPLE and at its most attractive. It is again designer, but unlike anything else on the counter. It has a strong scent cloud within about 6 inches for the first 1-2 hours and then softens in strength but it definitely stays noticeable.
    This is SEXY.
    This is refined.
    This is luxurious and mysterious.
This is what the cover of Purple Rain smelled like.
    This is extraterrestrial.
    THIS IS A MUGLER.
Angel and A*men, Alien, and Aura all defined Mugler because they were so unique and unexpected and this fits the mold completely. Its absolutely different from what was expected, but really, what else would you expect from this brand? This is a hate at first spray that will turn to a love after being given a chance. Its a designer opening that transforms into a completely different designer mid. Its a close encounter scent that won’t impress the person you want from across the room, but will seal the deal when you get them in close enough to feel your body heat against theirs. After 6 hours the white amber comes through strong and changes this into a sweet, beautiful skin scent that mixes well with your natural odor in a similar fashion to Molecule 01. This remains for another 2-4 hours on skin, while the mid stays for anywhere up to 16+hours on fabric. This IS unlike anything I have ever smelled and it DEFINITELY earns its brand’s name. Those of you who were disappointed when trying it at a store or on a card, I challenge you to buy a 1.7 oz bottle and try to deny its greatness after a week of wearing it. If it was any one of its stages it would be forgettable, but the 3 combine to become something special. Something much, much greater than the sum of its parts. Something MUGLER.
    Opening 6/10
    Mid 9/10
    Close 8/10
    Sillage (Trail) 7/10
Projection 8/10 within 6 inches, but 4/10 beyond that (2 hours of about 1 ft of projection in opening/early mid)
Longevity 8/10 on skin (6-10 hrs depending on intial amount of sprays and activity while wearing) 10/10 on fabric (16+ hours consistently on clothing)
    Uniqueness 10/10
Blind Buy Safe? Yes, agreeable scent throughout. Will definitely receive compliments, especially from people outside of the frag-comm. PAPER DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE. TRY ON SKIN.
Overall 8.5/10 A great addition to any collection that will excel as a date scent/close encounter scent. Definitely office safe. Best in weather below 65F degrees. Possibly cloying in warmer weather. Ranks ahead of Mugler cologne and some of the less popular A*men flankers, but behind some of the more noteable flankers as far as masculine Muglers go. Definitely has interesting potential for flankers of its own.

Found this in a box on the edge of my yard. Strange, there were pieces of paper in envelopes mixed in with it. I ducked inside and took “it” into the center of the house. Wrapped in some sort of paper envelope. Opened, I find plastic bubbles similar to what humans use to protect objects while mailing, i find scented liquid in a tube with a sprayer. I’m pretty sure it was aliens who left it. I’ve been seeing a lot of them lately, flying around at night. Not coincidentally, the tube with sprayer had “alien man” handwritten on it. Guess it was payback for the glass of chocolate milk I leave out for them every night near my fireplace. I smelled it because I’m the black sheep in my family. It smells good. Oddly enough it reminds me of a slimmer version of Larry Fortensky.

Hm. Mugler fanboy sounding off here. I was so looking forward to Alien Man, despite its all-but-whispered promotional campaign, weird-ass note pyramid, and sequential bad reviews. I also knew that it would be a while before it was released widely in the US, so… Enter a 5ml decant from eBay.
First spray, to the wrist, at my desk after lunch. “Alien” is right. Several images flashed through my mind while testing this fragrance, most overwhelmingly so the men’s fragrance section at TJMaRoss after a cripplingly busy weekend. Everyone and their mothers have been spraying themselves and the air with all accessible fragrances. Old school powerhouses battle sticky-sweet designers. The notes have had way too much time to settle, and it all ends up smelling like inside of the cap of one of the (deep-deep-deeeep) bargain fragrances. You know, one that people think is specifically there to provide them a bath.
Other, foggier images present themselves: paper coming off a copier, old school animalic with an undercurrent of what’s “in” right now, ambroxan, ambroxan, ambroxan, ambroxan? Blech. Let’s not forget cashmere, which tends to be Screech City on my skin. Oh, and in the opening I definitely agree with someone who called it “menthol cigarette and pickled cherry”.
Alright, Mugler. I’m ready for you to release flankers for this that will maybe-perhaps-hopefully be more palatable. For now, I’ll stick to all these A*Men flankers.

Very good fragrance. I have it since its release Here in germany. i only get positive response from People who smell it. Its True that it leans more towards mainstream but interesting enough among the designer releases of late so its pretty worth of testing and give it a chance.

I smell the dry down of Axe/Lynx Africa from this. And for that reason I can’t like this fragrance as it reminds me of one my co worker who had not wash him self in god knows when and constantly sprays Africa on him thinking it’s covering his oder but instead it’s making it worse. Clarins I’m very disappointed with this fragrance us men deserve a masterpiece like the female Alien instead u give us this cheap smelling crap

Having been one of the first people to have bought Mugler AMen form the Bond Street Store, alas now closed down that was a revelation. That caused such a stir, but due to it being so superb in projection, longevity and uniqueness it became a victim of its own success. It just became the fragrance every person would wear. Then Mugler insulted the intelligence with Amen, Pure Malt, Havana, Ice, so forth. I decided to buy this blind, think wow for once after nearly 21 years Mugler does a new scent. It’s woefully inadequate, it has zero projection, no longevity, in fact it’s like getting your wallet and in case, and I will concede I am a twit I bought the large size, I should have just got £69 and thrown it in the refuse bin! Complete and utter rubbish.

Finnaly I have had the chance to Test this juice for the first time, and I must say that tis is not bad at all. It becomes a very old school scent after 10 min. with a very strong spicey close to animalic incensey perfume, which is not as strong or projecting as it should. Because I already sait that it is very appreciatable and very unique in manor of perfumery skills and concept. I like this a lot, and for those who are not into the sweet girly Mens fragrances this is one to really keep an eye on! I like the Beechdill and osmanthus combo a lot, and the first impression is a bit sweet, but when the first impression fades away after ten minutes it is a very HAY ish , strong spicy weird YES animalic scent which is also to find in Jil sanders Man III , but not as strond as the mentioned. Alien is pitty enough a close to skin scent with nearly no sillage and therefor not really an option for me because in this genger I have plenty scents with vibes like ALIEN to go for. I want to be recognised , and so if you are too, than look for other options in these field. It is nice but a little to weak for me in act of pricetag and power in general. the smell is nice thouh, and I must say that I do like the tacky bottle a lot .. well done but very powerless .. Alien yes , predator – No .. thanks for reading.

This is my wife’s favorite fragrance on me. Alien Man is very pleasent aromatic, herbal, woody fragrance. It is something i can see as a mass appealing scent althought it have some herbal weirdness to it. Not in a negative way, just little more interesting then your average cologne. I have got few very nice compliments. It lasts over 10 hours on my skin, projects good for the first 2-3 hours, then it get closer to skin but still detectable untill the end(10hr+)…
    Scent: 8,5/10
    Longevity: 10/10
    Projection: 7,5/10
    Versatility: 9/10
    Compliments: 8/10

The bottle and especially the stylized images of it in Dr. Harrison’s article bear a striking resemblance to the monolith in Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey”. I’m sure it’s no coincidence, but as much as I enjoy pondering the Mugler ethos of nonconformity, I will have to pass on this space oddity with queasy ambivalence. On the other hand, perhaps anything that isn’t you is exactly what it means to be “alien”. For example, I know that “licorice pickles” isn’t me. The indecipherable monolith remains impassive to interpretation, but invites it just the same. That may be the ultimate truth of alien life and Alien fragrance. Multiverse theory indicates there is another version of Mugler Alien in another universe that may look and smell completely different from this one. Another you may even be wearing it right now. This would be an “alien you” wearing an “alien Alien”. Even a “fake Alien” would be an alien of some kind. “Alien” is a boundless word. Smart marketing here.

Ahh really on the fence about this one. Starts off really sweet but mellows out into a fresh and smoky combo that’s actually quite refreshing. There’s something in this that I don’t quite like though, don’t know what it is. Think I’d buy this when it’s cheaper but not at full retail, definitely different though, there’s nothing else like it. Think it would be one of those scents that you don’t always like, you’d have days when youre not really feeling it, days when you love it. Unusual but weirdly appealing.

Tried this a few weeks ago.
While it’s a good man’s scent, it has nothing to do with the divine Alien (which is my favourite female fragrance).
It smells of dill and that’s all that’s going for it. No jasmine and nothing to even barely resemble Alien’s scent.
Should have been called something else, but not Alien.

First time I sample it, I didn’t like it! One month later, after trying it many times, I start loving this fragrance! I think is well made! I agree on some of the reviews below that I can see Alien Men grow on people the exact same way Dior Savage has done! I just can say give it a chance and u won’t be dispoiinted but nicely Surpriced!

Yeah, I just sampled that one. Good if you like dill and mediocre longevity. I won’t be buying. I don’t want to sound like a hater, but they should rename it, it deff doesn’t belong in the Alien Family.

  31. :

This is a very ambery fragrance on my skin. I do not detect the dill note, I do get a sweet smoke accord. Going out on a limb here but this reminds me of Ungaro Pour Homme that came in the red bottle with the green cap.
Silage and longevity are no problem for me on this scent – I do like it very much more for fall and winter.

  32. :

Love it! Has a similar smell to the women’s version to my nose and it very well made regards to making it very masculine. People don’t give it enough chance to settle on the skin as once it dries down to me it’s very very nice

First of all the system does not allowing me to dislike this perfume. Don’t know why. Tried from my phone and iPad does not add to my dislikes. Anyway get back to review. This perfume reminds me a lot of Salvador Dali Laguna For women. It has that fresh citrusy sweet opening like Laguna. I own it and I’m not impressed. This one maybe is more intense than Laguna but that is all about it. Not a fan.

“Disappointment “ is extremely harsh – yes it’s not a world beater like some of the other mugler scents ,however it Is a lovey masculine scent ,and very easy to wear.
This fragrance has a very sharp start ,very peppery ,and almost eye widening !
The fragrance then develops quickly into smooth leather ,with hints of pepper to keep drawing you in ,the floral undertones of the osmanthus flower are definitely within the scent ,but not potent. The fragrance is very smooth in the dry down and the definition of soft spicy !
This scent does last a long time ,but projection is very limited.
I would recommend this fragrance for sure ,it’s not Amen in terms of being “out there” but is a lovely fragrance to wear

I’ve tried this only once. I found the top notes disgusting – they smelt like a perfume that has gone off – a horrid chemically smell. Thankfully they fade quickly. The dry down is nicer and reminded me of Diesel Bad. I will try it again at some point.

Listen. It’s well done. It’s just… a very, very traditional cologne. Passion for Men from Elizabeth Taylor has a similar vibe. This is just a bit spicier. Will wear more, but it’s not exactly worthy of the Mugler name. None of that quirkiness.
Not an Alien, just a man.

I tried this today and all i can say is that this is a very very nice and pleasant fragrance. Absolutely nothing groundbreaking yet not (really) commercial. Initial spray reminded me of dolce gabbana “the one” with a dill undertone and later on i got very subtle hints of leather. There is an ongoing ambery sweetness and I also get hints of allure Homme-original . Longevity is fine, silage is soft and I need to give it a full wear to decide if i want it or not. I probably will end up getting a bottle for “Alien’s” sake 🙂

I got to sample this one earlier this afternoon…well, on one hand I kinda liked it because it was nice (like being kissed by your sister) and it was also a bit different. On the other hand, it was not at all what I was expecting and it really didn’t strike me as being interesting or of high-quality since it had shades of those department store cologne that, while impossible to describe, are easy to identify. .So there are elements of love, like, dislike and even strong hatred involved with my first impression.
Unlike Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel (which I immediately liked and soon grew to love), Alien Man is going to require a lot more time sampling, and getting to know, before I will post a review. Let’s just say there’s a fair amount of indifference and confusion, which could easily swing into love or dislike territory depending on my mood swing. LOL! Right now, I’m leaning more on the “It’s Okay” but I am searching for reasons to love this fragrance while I trying not to fall into the abyss of fragrance disappointment. We shall see…

Got tester of this today and I’m on the bandwagon with wanting it smell like a manly version of the woman’s Alien. But there not even close. But yet I can see Alien Men start to grow on people the exact same way Dior Savage has done. It got butchered with negative reviews and now look at its popularity

Just got this in the shop and i have been spraying all day to much disappointment. I have been waiting for a male counterpart to alien for years as A men is my signature and Alien for women is Divine. Alien for men is a sharp, smoky, leathery , salty concoction that sadly doesn’t wow me like a MUGLER fragrance should. I already knew that the jasmine wouldn’t be present but this needs something else, something strange, something ALIEN to make it stand out. Smells like a weaker Dior Fahrenheit. Ill give it another try but its looking like a pass from me which is a shame as MUGLER create some of the best stand out fragrance you can buy. Was expecting more unfortunately.

First impressions (just tried it from an official 100ml tester in London’s leading perfume mekka):
BEAUTIFUL and MANLY. ELEGANT and SOPHISTICATED but not necessarily ground-breaking or weirdly wonderful as you come to expect from MUGLER.
I am being reminded of ‘Cuir Impertinent’ from the Exclusives line (that Anise-Suede combo), so perhaps they used this as a framework and made it more commercial, which I think is only understandable and fair.
Reality at present is that many luxury brands are struggling to make a profit, especially in fragrances, where you have an overabundance of choice and equivalents.
This to me is a well-balanced and beautiful modern contemporary release and at an RRP of £68 you cannot fault it at all.
Every brand needs a commercial powerhouse, a cash cow product, so I would not be surprised if this will do well, particularly with metro-and-heterosexuals, to whom, surprise, surprise, MUGLER also caters for!
Verdict: Solid 8/10 for wearability and broad appeal.
Minus Point: We expected somewhere a weirdly wonderful note like sperm(whale), BJORK’s blood or alien foetus, but we were ‘disappointed’ on that note (lol).

    Finally its here!
    Very easy to describe :
    1. sour
    2. wood ( not in interesting way )
    3. more sour
    4. dill(ish)
Projection and longevity seems to be good.
No doubt I have smelled something similar before. Men’s shampoo or antiperspirant.
    Boring.
    Not even crowd pleaser.
    Dissapointment of the year.

Woke up this morning, switched my computer on, then an ad pops up with a new Mugler Alien Man frag. Read some reviews here(mostly negative)but decided to give it a try. Luckily its already available in the UK. I must say this frag is great. The scent better than expected, longevity and silage very strong. Its very similar to ladies alien, so if you like ladies one, you will like this one too. People were moaning about never ending A*men versions,so there you go. Very happy with this purchase.

Just had a pleasure to try it on my skin . Not a for sale in UK yet. Its from the 20th of May.
Beautiful fragrance very well made and balanced . Very short sharp aromatic fresh and pleasant opening- could last a bit longer dill – cucumber herby ish . After 20 -30 min settles down to a creamier toned down DNA.
smoky and leathery. Smells a bit like Allure ,Bleu Oud wood , pure wood . Difficult to put your finger on it. Very masculine . Any age group can wear it.
Lasts 5 to 6 hr .not a massive projection .
Some complained about the bottle. It is a very nice design ,very heavy glass and highly polished (finger prints nightmare) Excellent spray . Expensive looking fragrance.
Looking forward to own a bottle and to the body line .
I do like it very much even th
