Marinello got it just right, blind buy going tragically wrong. Not even useful as air freshener. Should have known better, never liked a mens cologne of Salvador Dali. When will I ever learn!

Agua Verde is indeed a very Nice fig and Sandalwood fresh and delicate fragrance. after reading the negative reviews here, i had the chance to Blind snatch a 30ml Bottle for 7$ and decide by myself. yes it is not a strong radiating elixir but i have to say that i can’t agree with the reviews about Sillage and Longevity. in the first hour it was projecting enough to get a compliment from a very judgy person, in short words, “i feel it from here, this one is a good one”. the development is not too complex. in the dry down stage the grapefruit moves and the sandalwood become more and more noticable as hours pass. all wrapped gently with that vetiver echo. surprisingly i went to sleep with it and when i woke up 12 hours after spraying the few initial sprays i did last night, it was still there as body scent, faint. but still present.

Blind buy gone tragic, i should have known not to trust the reviews. Luckily, it was very cheap and it smells so. I use it as a toillet air freshener. No freshnes whatsoever, I can even smell some kind of plastic note, very sintetic. If you you want an affordable fig fragrance, go for Ferragamo pour homme, very cheap online.

It’s fleeting nice fig opening leaves way to a mild, non-lasting vetiver. I keep spraying and spraying and wondering why it’s sooo weak. I bought it some time ago in a fig phase of mine.
I’ve decided I’ll pass it over to my man. He can make good use of it at the office when he has meetings and needs to keep a low perfume profile…
All in all, such a brief fig pleasure has me somewhat annoyed. Of course, no good value for money. Quicker than a magical trick.. leaves me wondering…

    Yeah, nice.
    But waaayyyyy too faint, really.
But than can be an advantage, depending on what you plan to do.

Salvador Dali’s Agua Verde is an extremely pleasant fig fragrance with a hint of fresh, clean vetiver.
The fragrance is soft in terms of projection. It doesn’t evolve too much and sadly fades away from my skin after four to five hours.
However, the scent itself is extremely likeable and a very safe blind buy.
Agua Verde is too soft to be worn in the colder months, but it’s perfect for a hot, sunny day.
    It’s a great, affordable spring/summer casual fragrance.
It don’t really pick up on the other notes in this fragrance, but it does become slightly salty towards the end.
I personally find this fragrance to be totally unisex.
Is this fragrance really marketed towards men only?
I see no gender indicated on the box or bottle, so I’d be very surprised if it is marketed as a “men only” fragrance.

If you like fig and you can’t afford fragrances like Jardin d’ ecrivains Wilde or Dyptique’ philosykos this is a good and cheap choice.
It’s fresh, green and could be unisex
    Moderate longevity and sillage.
    Overall:6/10

This is a very beautiful clear and a romantic fragrance. He has mood very near Borsalino – to Cologne Intense fragrance, which is an other “green” beauty in the woody-aromatic group,.
    Price/value proportion excellent!

This was a blind buy and as far as blind buys go it’s a relatively safe one, if only because it’s brilliantly inexpensive!
I’m not a huge fan of Agua Verde’s opening, the grapefruit is a bit screechy on me, and there appears to be a dash of lavender or similar which smells harsh to my nose. The opening is also more traditionally “masculine” – not that that’s a bad thing necessarily.
After a few minutes, it calms down into a beautiful, subtle scent which is completely unisex. The fig is prominent and ever so slightly sweet but nothing sticky, in fact it’s so lightweight that it’s perfect for warm, even hot weather. Very fresh smelling without being aquatic or overly citrussy – I still get a whiff of the grapefruit later on but it’s much softer, more integrated.
Longevity is what can be expected from such an airy fresh-sweet fragrance, 4-6 hours. Projection is only a few inches, but I feel that’s appropriate for this scent. It’s light and breezy, not a big cloying cloud of a fragrance.
What I enjoy about Agua Verde is that it’s a bit unusual, yet very likeable and inoffensive. Totally safe for work. A wonderfully smooth summer fragrance which I look forward to using in rotation with my usual dry greens and sharper citruses.

This is a very soft fragrance with a very nice salty fig accord, soft vetiver & pinch of sea salt. In fact the fig is as dry as sun baked earth and very convincing. There is just a small hint of sweetness in this fragrance.
It drys down very simple but has a bit going on in the first hour with a nice salty citrus to compliment the dry fig & vetiver note. After a couple of hours what you are left with is a soft vetiver, fig tone – there is also something dry skinned about it and something lightly creamy – similar to the scent of your skin after taking off a wool sweater you have been wearing all day with a hint of french soap you used to shower in the morning.
The fragrance lasts around eight hours on my skin all while not getting much softer or stronger. I don’t really experience any natural green notes in the traditional herbal, grassy or plant stem sense. It is much more about mellow vetiver, dry fig and dry clean salty air and vague creaminess.
A nice and minimal contemporary fragrance. It’s a great workplace fragrance for a man or woman.
This is a very contemporary and safe fragrance – safe in a modern, minimal & transparent sort of way way. Nice and simple which makes it appealing. A nice vetiver for people who enjoy subtle vetiver.

The fig note in this is quite wonderful! It’s a fresh fig and it’s not overly sweet and its quite true to the figs that I have actually eaten. Agua Verde turned out to be a lot better then I expected it to be. The fragrance opens with the fig and tiny bit of grapefruit which gives it an energetic a fresh vibe to it. Then comes the vetiver which is still supported by the fig and it has a dry quality to which I like. Agua Verde keeps changing and turns into a smooth spicy combination of nutmeg, vetiver, fig, and amber. Its slightly fresh sweet combination with tiny bit of spice that I am loving and it is not too masculine which allows this fragrance to be more unisex. The fig note manages to hang on and not disappear which makes me really happy, because I was looking for a strong fig note. For a cheaper option this is fantastic!!!

AV begins with a grapefruit and fig mixture. The fig and grapefruit blend is very nice. The notes are both soft – and the mix between the two notes is really just perfect, so far as intensity goes. It’s not too much or too little. The fig mixture is definitely reserved compared w/some other fragrances that I have tried that have fig (for example, O Boticario’s Acqua Brasilis’ fig is more powerful).
The middle notes remain very soft. Most fragrances that you spray on yourself become stronger the more you put on. But, w/AV it’s different. It’s almost as if it doesn’t get stronger. It just sits lightly on the skin. The notes list says that the heart notes contain jasmine, nutmeg, and vetiver. To be honest, I can’t really distinguish them b/c they’re so soft. I can get a bit of an herb mixture, but the fig never leaves, which is a good thing.
Drydown is light. Again, the fig never leaves. More than worth the price of a bottle.

Agua Verde smacks of fresh fig. Fresh fig is green, slightly earthy and the sweetness is mostly an aftertaste. At least that’s how California figs taste.
This fragrance captures that really well.
A fresh, but relaxing scent. Could very easily go unisex for women who enjoy green, woody scents.

Agua Verde is a wonderful creation, a surprising fresh and sweet perfume that fits perfectly for a crowd that usually sticks to freshness while rarely (or never) approaching the realm of sweetness: the male crowd.
This perfume opens with a grapefruit scent, citrusy but not sharp, supported with a soft fig on the background, creating a delightfully sunny and relaxed scent that calmly develop into a woody-citrus aroma that creates a balmy scenery (scentnery?).
Agua Verde is a good perfume for men who want to take a walk on the sweet side without getting slapped by sugar-shocking aromas…and as a bonus, it can be worn by women of all ages too :).

Salvador Dali’s Agua Verde is a great inexpensive fragrance, perfect for warm summer nights, this starts of very green and fresh, with hints of citrus/grapefruit then at the base its woody, last about 6 hours on my skin, i would buy this again.

Agua Verde is a great creation.
Haven’t smelled anything even remotely similar ever!
It’s fresh and green, but the greeniness somehow comes from the citruses and aquatic feeling, not from the regular green (rather sharp) notes.
This vetiver smells happy and greeny fresh, not at all earthy and damp / dry.
The scent is invigorating and calming at the same time.
For a relaxed gentleman 🙂 Wearable for women, too!
Le Roy Soleil, Laguna, now Agua Verde … I love Salvador Dali’s perfumes for men !!

A very sexy green scent which is a little juicy, but still appropriate on vacation or clubbin’. Very artistic, like the projection of the painter Salvador Dali into a scent: colourful, full of joy, untraditionally stylish. Along with Very Irresistible for Men, this is like a new direction of green fragrances.I want this in my wardrobe.

Salvador Dali is not very popular when it comes to its line of perfumes (with exception of the female scent Laguna, which is very famous), but has the power to amaze me.
This cologne opens with a delicious mix of freshness and fruits, achieved through its notes of fig and grapefruit. The most intriguing is that the nuance of fig in this fragrance – unlike most of the fragrances that have this note and result in a fresher aroma of fruit and its leaves – is calmer and slightly sweet. They may have extracted more of the pulp than from the peel, I don’t know…but don’t expect a traditional fig. Here, the initial aroma of fig brings me back to the same shade of fig used in Dune, by Dior. Then, nutmeg and jasmine, wrapped in vetiver, make the heart of this fragrance dense and dry at the same time. Finally, a bit of creaminess of amber and sandalwood.
This scent has a good sillage, without being invasive, and an excellent lasting on the skin. It is not very expensive and does not have a common aroma among so many options on the market.
