Sour and very musky, with a gourmand-like severity lingering below the surface. Very different from the other two Escada summer scents that I’m familiar with, which are Fiesta Carioca and Sorbetto Rosso.

My husband bought this for me a few years ago, but I only wore it occasionally, because it was a limited edition and I wanted to make it last. I was so happy to find it at my local Marshalls yesterday, and scooped it up right away.
The hubby is a great fan of citrus – his fave scent to wear is Monsieur Balmain – so I knew that ADS would feature a lot of citris. I love it – it’s sweet and fruity, but the citrus notes tone down the sweetness a bit. One reviewer here says it doesn’t last very long, but that hasn’t been my experience. Oh, and am I the only one who smells passionfruit or passionflower in this fragrance?

I picked this up recently as I thought it was the 2018 edition Sorbetto Rosso. I got confused! No matter, I do like this one. Very fruity, almost like a grown up body spray. Sweet, creamy, slight floral with a hint of sour. Dries down to a musky tonka. Nice to wear with your bathing suit and cover up before you go to the pool or with a tropical print dress.

freezing cold raspberry Popsicle on a hot sunny day!
That’s how I would describe it
This is one of the Perfumes where the dry down it ALOT better than the initial spray
Initial spray is so annoying and choking
    Just wait 🙂
The dry down has this creaminess of the ice cream notes along with a playful raspberry notes bouncing around.
It does have a sourness to it, not in a bad way though
it kindda reminds me of those sweet but fizzy lollipops back from Childhood………Do they still make them ? lol
And agree with a previous review that mentioned that most Escada fragrances have a fruit salad notes to it , however this is different with the ice-cream notes added to it. & that I can imagine who wears this perfume dancing around in a summer night party 🙂
Its still one cold winter here in Australia.
This perfume is going to shine & sparkle once the weather is hot,,, where I always give sweet perfumes a break and aim towards fruity fragrances to freshen up
    Looking forward to that 🙂

This isn’t bad. But somehow it is simultaneously too sweet and too sour for me. I think I will be returning.
Lovers of extremely fruity fragrances may enjoy this.

Love this one and DKNY’s Dreamsicle too. Escada Agua del Sol has a lot of juicy fruits, it’s like a sweet, fruity, sun&fun summer cocktail. DKNY Dreamsicle is more powdery and simple. But it’s still like a peach ice-cream to me. Maybe with a little yogurt in it. But it’s just peaches and cream. Escada is more complex, more fun, but not too childish.

Smells good, but has absolutely 0 longevity on me. Top notes disappear in a few minutes, turns to a fruity ice cream, and then it’s just gone completely. I bathed in this, and it’s just gone. It’s a bummer, because it does genuinely smell nice

This is a pretty nice scent, perfect for summer in my opinion.
It smells a little sweet with a sour sorbet undertone.
You can also smell the fruits with a hint of slight musk.
Doesn’t smell like anything in my collection.

I bought it without even testing it, solely based on reviews I read here. And I’m totally not disappointed. Zero regrets here.
I’ve tested a few Escada perfumes in the past, most of which I did like, and this is no exception.
The first thing that popped into my mind when I took off the cap – PINEAPPLE. when you spray it, a very noticeable LIME scent comes through, with a hint of PEAR. overall, the very first impression – it’s a screaming FRESH TROPICAL FRUITS scent. But it doesn’t smell synthetic at all, nor it’s overwhelming. It feels just right. More on the sweet side than sour, but a “cool, breezy sweet”.
Then, after a few minutes it dries down to a warmer sweet, and the sour, fruity notes are no longer prominent, especially if you spray it directly on the skin. I must say the freshness disappears almost completely, at least on my skin, but it doesn’t bother me at all. The final scent is lovely. It’s warm, peachy, somewhat creamy, and here you get the vanilla-ish ICE CREAM vibe. Also, if you sniff it really closely, you get a hint of ROSES and the remaining CITRUS bits.
Overall, I really, really like it. It gives of a summery, sunny, carefree vibe. Yes, quite expensive also, but for me it’s worth the price. And I wouldn’t say it’s just for 20-somethings, my mom could easily rock it as well. It’s more about the impression you want to give. If you’re going to a business meeting and want to appear serious, calculative and dominant, this will be too easy-going for ya!

I usually love the summer editions of Escada; however, this one as well as Fiesta Carioca were serious disappointments. There is a harsh note at the end of each of them that I despise on me (I think it’s the musk), and it completely ruins the other lovely notes in the fragrances. I wanted to enjoy the sorbet and ice cream in this one, and the musk was just gross. BRING BACK IBIZA HIPPIE AND TROPICAL PUNCH! Pass on this one.

  11. :

    4 out of 5

Always find that the summer limited editions are way too sweet ,in a heady nauseating way ,you can create fragrances to be sweet without making it so cloying ,you want to enjoy the scent ,not to smell rotten rich sweet fruit !
Love the smell of the other Escada ranges but I dread having to spray these limited editions every summer at work !
However these sell like hot cakes ,people go mad for the sugary scents ,just shows how tastes range from one extreme to the other !

This smells like artificial lemon juice. Kind of offensive it gives me headache. Longetivity: 1 hour

  13. :

This is my first review ever, so I hope I am writing this correctly. When I first got this perfume I loved the way it smelled but after a while it becomes overwhelmingly fruity and sweet. This is definitely best suited for warmer weather such as on a hot spring day or in summer. It starts out strong and then becomes fruited and disappears on my skin after 2-3 hours max. I’m not really great with picking out notes but in this perfume many of the notes make themselves known. I can’t smell and rose but I do smell the orange, other citruses, pink pepper, and pear clearly. I also have fiesta carioca which has an opening even stronger and has the same longevity as well. I like the smell but I don’t think the price is worth it to me. If someone doesn’t mind reapplying and enjoys sweet fruity perfumes then this is a good choice for them.

This parfume is sweet and delicious, and reminds me of walks on the beach.
I love it & how it smells like a yummy tropical bowl of fruity goodness!!!!! Perfect for spring & summer!!!
Sillage & longevity are both moderate on me.

it smells like a bathroom refresher spray or something
    very sour and Heavy. yuck

  16. :

Lemonade! This is the first word that pops up in my mind. When I pay more attention I can smell sweet, wet icecream. This perfume would easily win the hearts of kids and tweens. There are some deeper notes like tonka, sandalwood and white musk but they’re far in the background. They become more noticable after a few hours when the wetness is gone. The sweet notes turned syrupy by that time. Think of chewy gummy candies. This is not a sophisticated perfume by any means but it’s very enjoyable. I’m an adult and I like it!

  17. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t smell ice cream at all. And that’s actually the only reason I bought this, hoping for more ice cream note.
However, all I smell is fruit/sour. This smells like every other Escada scent! Disappointed…not sure if to keep.
I don’t dislike it either, but I’m not impressed. No sorbet or ice cream.

  18. :

    4 out of 5

I was looking for some non synthetic fruity juice that last at least more than 15 min. And it would be this one if it is just less sweet. It is yummy fruity sorbet, but for me just too sweet

  19. :

OMG – This is not a complex fragrance. i have a ton of those. BUT i love this sweet fruity fun fragrance! I have a lot of much more expensive perfumes but I love this one!

  20. :

    5 out of 5

Straight after buying this perfume, I went onto Google Translate, and I found out that ‘Agua Del Sol’ means ‘Sun Water’ in Spanish. I think it’s an appropriate name, as this reminds me of licking fresh peach ice cream on the beach during holidays. The pear ice cream is sweet, and the raspberry sorbet is cool.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

Very sweet and sugary. I get a strong sorbet and Ice cream, and a hint of fruits. It’s suprisingly strong, I can’t really spray it directly on my skin otherwise it’ll give me a headache. But lightly used I like it very much, it makes me feel bubly and girly 😀

  22. :

    4 out of 5

I am very supprised that this one got such a high rating, I am not saying that I do not like it, but I miss something special that would justify such a good rate. It is nice sweet and fruity scent and for me, unfortunately nothing more than that. It is funny that on me I can smell vanilla. I almost blind buy a big bottel based on good reviews.

  23. :

    5 out of 5

I like fruity perfumes, and especially orangey perfumes. I was so confident that I would like this, that I blind bought the extra large bottle. But surprisingly, I don’t love it. For one thing, I don’t feel like it smells like oranges. It smells more like mangoes specifically. A lot of cosmetics and food companies use musk instead of vanilla, and I think this perfume did too. So to smell like vanilla ice cream, they just used musk. But I dislike musk perfumes.
So basically this smells exactly like a musky mango alcoholic cream desert drink at Bahama Breeze restaurant.

  24. :

    5 out of 5

Regretted buying such a big bottle. Didn’t get a sorbet note but got a whole lot of sugary, sticky apricot and a generic berry fruity scent you flavour gummy candies with. Better layered with other fragrances to cut the sugar or to amplify fruity notes. Would like this better if the rose note was made more prominent.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

Guess I’m in the minority here, but this scent fell flat on my skin. Tried to love it or at least like it and I can’t. I get no sweetness or really any fruit; there is something in this that seems to be smothering the sweetness and I think it might be either the tonka bean or sandalwood (perhaps both) because it seems to want to open up into something good but just goes mute on me. 🙁

  26. :

This smells so much like all the Hurricanes I drank in New Orleans last May, I got heartburn immediately.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

It smells very Escada. Yes, it is sweet but it so joyful. I feel very self indulgent. It makes me immediately think of tropical fruit cocktails and Italian tutti fruiti ice cream. It’s fresh and bright so not heavy on the sugar. I like the slightly sour aspect as it keeps it lively. I’m no girl but I’m going to enjoy wearing this on casual summer evenings. Moderate sillage but great longevity.

I’ve been waiting for something like this for years – and here it comes! An amazing fruity combo that gives me comfort in these cold days and would also be perfect for summertime!
A great replacement for my beloved Pacific Paradise, only even more elaborate!:D

  29. :

This is a pure soothing balm for the soul, I love it, even in the cold crisp air of winter in North Norway! Now that I think about it, it works well as a winter fragrance because it’s there to give you some warmth.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

This is 2 parts pineapple, 1 part sunblock (the good-smelling kind), and 1 part car air freshener. Perfect if you want to smell like you just showered in a bath of tropical fruit juices. For me, I can’t imagine wearing this anywhere except whilst on a vacation on a sunny island, and even then there are many perfumes that would make the cut before this one. I am by no means a perfume snob–I can’t stand a lot of vintages and niches–but this one is just too artificially fruity for me.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

Got a sample. It DOES smell like ice cream, which I have never before sniffed in a perfume. Sweet and perky. A great daytime scent.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

Agua del Sol is a fruit flavored ice cream, smells exactly like one of the Baskin Robins 31 flavors – all of them LOL It’s a gourmand fragrance so if you’re big on gourmands, this is a real treat. And the price at about 40-50 is unbeatable. The first whiff was like a citrus or orange and apricot juice which then gets into an ice cream sorbet with sugary sweet raspberry. This is a delicious fruit drink in a bottle. I couldn’t pick up on the rose note and it’s just as well since most gourmand scents where the raspberry or fruit notes are dominant devour the flowers. The dry down seemed to be a hint of vanilla and only the littlest bit of sandalwood and musk. Longevity is an issue on me the sweetness came and went and the scent dried down to musk and it took only about 4 hours or less. It’s not bad but I like long lasting perfumes that I can catch whiffs of throughout my day. This is also a summer party perfume so you have to think about where you want to wear this. This is sweet, fun, flirty and delicious. This is how I like to smell at summer parties with my friends.

  33. :

Sugar in a bottle for sure, but no complaints here! The notes are, frankly, delicious. I think I’d love this perfume as a “layered” top scent to a brooding woody base. Though, I can picture wearing it as a stand-alone during a hot sweltering night out dancing by the water’s edge — a lighthearted scent, certainly reminiscent of summer fun 🙂

Una mezcla de mango y piña, añadido al helado lo hacen súper fresco y veraniego !! Dulce y juvenil me recuerda el olor de “only me” de yves de systelle.

  35. :

A splash in a multivitamin fruit juice!
Intensive fruity notes to the extreme, as often in Escada fragrances, but this one is highlighted with the sweet tonka been and the balmy sandalwood base.
A joyful and luscious scent !

  36. :

I think I’m in love with this fragrance. The first spray hit me like a ton of ripe mangoes with other tropical fruits. It’s very very tropical, fruity and fun. The scent makes me think of having a cocktail party on the beach when the sun is going down. It doesn’t smell elegant or complicated to me but more simple and fun.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

A fruit cocktail in a bottle, Escada never disappoint when it comes to Summer fragrances, and this is no exception, if this was a colour it would be pink, bursting with tropical fruits and red berries. The initial burst is gorgeous, you want to drink it.
Summer in a bottle, with good sillage and longevity, grab one before they disappear.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Pina colada………….yup, that it what I got on me, thankfully just a spray in store, felt a bit cheap wearing it. A young girls perfume.

  39. :

    4 out of 5

Great for hot summers! Really fruity! I imagine this will really fit in any beachparty, or even at nights! This is not as good as Escada Cherry in the Air, and not as sweet as Escada Sexy Graffiti, but still it has charm and it gives good summervibes. Also I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can smell some flowers of it too!

  40. :

These escada summer editions, I fell in love smelling them on girls when I was young, and to this day it hasn’t change. In the mean time they released not so good “flankers” but this one is back on track and the same feeling I got when I was young.
A very girly type of fragrance and I love it!

  41. :

its like a delicious fruity cocktail in a bottle….i swear i want to drink it

  42. :

Ahh I’m in love with this one, Escada really did it with this one. When I first went to the store to smell it I immediately thought ‘I have to buy this’. And so I did and I love it so much, this scent really makes me feel happy and it’s the perfect summer scent. I think of hot summerdays, fruity drinks and just happiness. It’s so fruity and fresh.
I was also really surprised by the longevity of this, I thought I would have to spray it on really often (and I was OK with that because I love the scent so much). But when I spray it on during the day, I can still sense it on my skin the morning after, happily surprised by that.
I recommend it to anyone who loves fruity scents and want the perfect one for summer. This one and Escada Magnetism tops my list of my favourite Escada fragrances.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

YES!Escada did it again I think.
When today I put this beauty on my wirst I was like YES !THIS IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!
I was sooo happy, finally the perfect fruity summer scent, finally another Escada which I want.
For me this is like mango and peach sorbet and soooo yummi.Absolutely love this.Soooo fresh and fruity and sweet. It´s something fabolous.Ooooh and the longevity on me was pretty good, and the bottle is beautiful.
    I love this,thank you Escada.Loooooooove iiit.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

Mixed feelings about this. Yes it is sweet and tropical and fruity like all other Escadas from the bunch but definetely more mature. Feels like a grown-up perfume and I usually don’t do grown-up scents. I can totally imagine Samantha from Sex and the City (the 40 year old Samantha) wearing this. It is still playful and vibrant but not genuinely youthful (which isn’t necessarily bad). Sillage is insane (very very strong) and longevity seems to be good. Definetely want to purchase but it is not my typical scent – I am more of a Turquoise Summer kinda girl.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

Love this oh my goodness. Perfect summer scent. Insanely fruity and yummy and edible. I get mango, pineapple, raspberry, lime all of the fruits basically and it smells so fresh and delicious. The ice cream note makes its a bit creamy which is wonderful. Lasting power is not bad either. Such a happy scent.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

Straight pineapple, with no extra notes. Like a pineapple lemonade, fresh, not distracting, but absolutely nothing special. Sometimes I love mono perfumes, but this one is too boring for me to wear.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

To me, this smells like straight mango and I love it. I’m heavily considering buying a bottle for my tropical vacation coming up. I can see it being my summer staple. Waaaaant.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

Aqua Del Sol is pineapple and raspberry sorbet. A perfect tart, tropical cocktail for summer. I can’t get enough of it, and when I’m not wearing it, I’m thinking about wearing it, lol! The best Eacada I’ve tried since the original 2004 Island Kiss, which I still have 1/4 of left and it still smells amazing. Not really much more to add. Longevity is better on clothes and projection is medium. Yummy!

  49. :

    3 out of 5

Uptil this point, agua del sol is the most sophisticated out of all the summer scent from escada i have smelled. Maybe it is wrong to call it sophisticated but there is something about the rose/dried fruits/tonka bean combination and the lack of coconut (Thank god) that sertainly makes this much nicer than the other versions, espesially from the last 10 years i think. I smelled this on a woman that was about 40-50 years, and it smelled soooo good on her! I had to ask her what she was wearing. I would never have guessed it was escada. On her it smelled like dried roses and some fruit, but mostly flowery. Very nice!

  50. :

    3 out of 5

I really like this. Raspberry sorbet bottled. I sprayed one time on the top of each hand, and it lasted for hours as well as having very good projection.
I do like trying perfumes marketed towards women, and I find some to be unisex or even masculine. This however is quite feminine, and so I gave it to a woman at work. She absolutely loved it, and it almost seems like I found her new favourite scent.
Be sure to try it if you like fruity fragrances without being overly sweet.

A sweet mix of cool, raspberry sorbet and creamy ice cream! Yum! It doesn’t last long on skin but it is delicious while it does. Lasts about 7 or 8 hours on fabric with soft sillage. I can’t see myself buying a full bottle unless it goes on sale but I’ll enjoy my sample while it lasts. What a wonderful treat for a hot summer day!

Very fruity, exotic, summery scent. This year it is not too sweet, but…. and there is a big but – it is like a sorbet bomb. Literally. Also, it is a bit sour and green, I have no idea, why, because no green notes are listed.
All in all, not bad, but I’d not wear it.

A blender full of fruit–nice that the floral elements take a back seat, for a change. Nothing heady in this one, just fruity delight across the spectrum. I like this offering so much more than last year’s annual scent, Turquoise Summer, and will be incorporating into my seasonal roster.

  60. :

    3 out of 5

I kind of surprised myself by instantly falling for this fragrance at first sniff since it really lives up to the name. What a yummy, juicy, well-balanced and joyful scent without any synthetic and sickeningly sweet notes that (unfortunately) have sneaked into Escada’s summer frags in the past years… Haven’t liked any of them since 2007’s Moon Sparkle, to be honest. This sunny ‘n sweet juice suits women of all ages, not just the young ones, I must reckon.

  61. :

    5 out of 5

This scent introduced me to escada, tried it in debenhams and fell in love! I spontaneously spent £45 on 100 ml and sprayed the tester all over me, woke up the next morning and could still smell so very long lasting. Since this I have bought cherry in the air and turquoise summer, also both great but this one is my favourite.

  62. :

    3 out of 5

This is a sweet fruit bomb. Mostly I can smell fruity notes like apricot and raspberry. It’s sweet as a tropical juice. It seems to me, that there’s some chocolate note present, in the base notes. It’s not listed here, I might be wrong.
I sense something dark and a little bitter a few hours after spraying.
It’s one of those perfumes, I think people will like very much. I’m just not sure about the base notes.
I don’t think it’s my favorite one from the Escada’s summer line, but it’s good.
    Moon Sparkle was better though.
    Like!

  63. :

Sweet and fruity – loveable 🙂 but (there’s, almost, always a But) there’s something about most of Escada’s perfumes that smells a little cheap/synthetic which makes them very similar to cheaper, “drugstore”, fragrances… But, if you’ve enjoyed previous fruity and sweet perfumes from Escada; you’ll definately like or love this one 🙂

  64. :

    5 out of 5

Interestingly, this is my ONLY fragrance that has gotten compliments! (Finns hardly ever compliment each others’ fragrances, not to mention wear any :—D) It’s not my favorite fragrance but good for those days when you want something easy to wear. More refreshing and less sticky than the previous Escada summer editions but still very fruity.

Yummy! This is delicious! Escada did it right this year. I did not liked last year´s perfume, “Turquoise Summer”, for me it was too sweet and synthetic but this one is just right. Someone said it smells like gummy bears and i can totally agree, but it also smells like a cocktail or a very good fruit salad or, more precisely a tropical fruit ice cream ( that´s what they were going for, and they totally succeeded).
I don´t get much rose or pink pepper or the citrusy notes, it is mostly just the tropical ice cream and i am ok with that.
    Longevity could be better,though.
Overall, thumbs up for this one!

After the drydown this smells exactly like last year’s Dkny Dreamsicle ltd summer edition, so there’s nothing new under the “spanish sun”. It is a delicious, yummy fruity scent, but it bugs me when fragrances are sooo similar.

I had no idea that escads came out with their 2016 perfume yet, walked into shoppers and there she be! It was live at first sniff! It’s a lovely, sweet-frhity sweet not candy sweet. It smells almost like what grape fruit and oranges, its beautiful, I must say I’m glad I get a lot of gift cards for xnas because this gem is in NY list!

Sprayed this on me in shoppers today but i was already wearing that contoire vanille banana so this may be why i got a sort of pineappley bananaish (must be from what i had on already) but to me its very tropical yes in a sorbet sort of way its very refreshing sweet but not too sweet. Totally makes me picture like on a beautiful island with crystal blue waters drinking fruity cocktails ahhh its pure deliciousness

I really like this, although not suitable to wear now in our cold canadian winter! very frruity but yes with a certain creaminess, it is more than all those EScada fruit salads scents, it is very fresh , but not fizzy fruity, more like refreshingly fresh, with the balsamic undertone it is a tad less summery and predictable than other versions..I will defintely wear it happily coming spring time!!

    YESYESYESYES!!!!
It has finally arrived and im doing the wrist test now! It is absilutly fabulous!!!! One of the best Escadas in several years, i would call it advanced version of “Turquoise summer”, this one will be a smash hit for sure!! So girly, so yummy, fruity, summery, lush and smoooth. I own a lot if perfumes and normally i choose potent vintages, but hey, we all want to feel carefree sometimes and this fragrance is just perfect!!!
Opens up as a yummy sorbet with fruit jelly, so soft and velvety. I love the feeling of smooth sorbet note, its so comforting. Later it becomes more typucsl bubble gum fruty Escada base but in general that smoothnes is still here. It reminds me of a DKNY limited sorbet edition, however Escada has that liquid rubbery feeling which DKNY does not give me. Its like eating an ice cream on a warm day. Lovers of niche and clasdic vintages will probably never like it, but i know that my mom, who is in her late 50s will love it. And i will love it myself as well! Its really good and uplifting!!
    Im getting a bottle!!
