Opening is outstanding– alive, almost electric. I hate to use the tired descriptor ‘sparkling,; but damned if this stuff isn’t just that. For a few moments after a spray, it charges the air, like the effect of ozone (not the smell, the effect).
If it’s all bergamot, then it’s the most natural, super-fresh, not bitter or sweet bergamot I’ve come across. Remember those old Coast soap commercials, where the people would be dead asleep and then get a whiff of the Coast and their eyes would spring open and a huge smile would appear? Utopian smells nothing like Coast or soap in general, but it’s got the eye-opening effect in real life. Wish it lasted longer, but I get the impression that this is a completely natural product, and the naturals are often fleeting.
