The Taif rose is a type of Damask Rose that grows in the mountain area Taif in Saudi-Arabia. It has a distinct cool, crisp, transparent, airy and slightly tart quality, because it grows in the mountains.
The strange and fascinating thing about this perfume is that it smells distinctly different when you smell it up close or in the air around you. Up close, on the skin, it smells like a fresh, cooling and airy blend of pink roses and lemon. It even has a weird rubbery quality. But when you catch little whiffs of it in the air it is a perfect, crisp, clean rose with a pronounced airy and transparent feel. It feels young, pure and a tad aloof or untouchable. Like the scent of a young ice queen, maybe Elsa.
