Description

The first fragrance of Italian cosmetic brand Aquolina is Pink Sugar, a fragrance for young girls who like sweets. It is a very sweet fragrance that smells like fruity candy floss. The top notes are bergamot, Sicilian orange and green nuance of fig leaves. In the heart, a thin lily of the valley note enjoys the company of liquorice blossom and red fruits. The gourmand drydown is composed of vanilla, caramel, woodsy and musky notes. The perfume was launched in 2004.

I like Pink Sugar, I really do. But whenever I hear the line in the movie Mean Girls “You smell like a baby prostitute” I always imagine that this is the perfume being talked about. Interestingly, Mean Girls came out in 2004, the same year that Pink Sugar hit stores. So maybe I’m right on the money.

Brought this a few years back now, can always find it pretty easily and for quite cheap.
The bottle is cute, the scent is just pure artificial sweetness. I smell hints of caramel but are overpowered by the sweetness which is borderline sickly. Very comparable to Britney Spears Fantasy – but a lighter version. Don’t overspray this. Would be good for kids but is very youthful.

I was expecting this to smell like sweet vanilla, but no, no it doesn’t, at least not on my skin.
On me this is a very very sweet and warm overly sugary scent. Burned sugar is a good description. Rich yes, but not in a good way.
If you like very sweet and sugary scents with a warm base note, then this is for you.
As for vanilla and coconut scent lovers like me, this really is not quite that nice and not what I was looking for. But I didn’t pay a lot either, so not a big loss.
Edit: Silly me. Now that I came to think of it: Why was I really expecting anything else but a very sugary pink scent from a fragrance named Pink Sugar! I cannot smell anything pink here though, just the very sweet burned warm artificial sugar.

On my skin, I only get licorice for the first few hours. Then I finally get the vanilla and caramel. I only get the cotton candy smell when I spray it on a test strip… Which is a shame but it doesn’t make me love this perfume any less. I have a lot of memories attached to it because I practically wore it every single day of my middle school and high school years. It’s not my ‘style’ anymore but I still spray it time to time before going to bed because of the nostalgia.

On me it smells like VANILLA, so much vanilla mixed with strawberry cream flavored candy.
I like it but I was hoping it would smell like cotton candy or spun sugar, I’m only getting a little bit of cotton candy and it’s more like when you buy packaged cotton candy to take home rather than straight out of a cotton candy machine.
I’m definitely gonna wear it a lot, it’s sweet and fun but I expected something else.

One of my absolute favorite comfort scents. It is masterfully blended and is original. It in uniquely Pink Sugar. I detect vanilla, burnt sugar and caramel. It has superb lasting and projecting qualities. It floats about you. I love wearing this outside…makes me feel like I am walking through a carnival with sugary treats filling the air. This is sweet but not cloying or head ache inducing. I will always have this in my collection. And the price….sooo affordable!

I owe Pink Sugar an apology! On 6/22/18 I wrote this as a review (after purchasing at Ross and spraying in my car): “Hmmm. Smells like a caramel Yankee candle. I can’t believe I paid $19.99 for this at Ross. Maybe I can return it.”
At the time, I really didn’t get it. And I couldn’t understand how there could be so many people who love this but that for me, a gourmand aficionado, I could be so turned off. Granted, I only sprayed it into the packaging instead of on my skin because it was the heat of summer, plus I was already wearing another perfume and I didn’t want to mix it together. What I got was this immediate whiff of what seemed like synthetic caramel and I was immediately turned off. But I really should have cooled my jets and waited for the right conditions to try this. I know better now!
I finally wore Pink Sugar yesterday on a mild day (not too hot, not cold) and I was very relieved that I never returned it. This time the caramel was more smooth and buttery, and it melded into the spun sugar and vanilla very quickly. It was completely wearable, and I was extremely relieved! The amber was there to anchor it nicely but I didn’t get much musk unfortunately (I love musk these days). I also do now get the comparison to Outremer’s Vanille, which is also a big love.
For all those who are interested in Pink Sugar, just know that this is running theme with this particular fragrance (as evidenced in other reviews). You really do need to try it in different conditions to know for sure whether you like it or not. For less than $20 at the discount chains, you really can’t beat it.

I did not smell cotton candy. It smelled kind of alcohol-y to me and really strong. I was not a fan.

Im soooooo disapointed. Finally got a bottle after reading rav review for years and years. I can hardly smell it for starters. So weak. Secondly, its remarkably unsweet on me. Flowerbomb is twice as sweet as this. Thirdly, I must be getting what some people have written – a burnt rubber vibe ??? Ive never smelt burnt rubber but it must be this awful note. After about 45 mins I do smell a whiff of licorice but I have to have my nose pressed up hard on my wrist.
Im really disappointed. I adores sweet perfume and was sure this was going to be a huge love. Chi Chi’s Warm Vanilla Sugar is better on me. I thought that was weak in strength but is a powerhouse compared to Pink Sugar.
Its mild weather about 20 degrees Celsius so maybe pink sugar will work better for me when it heats up a bit.

When I first heard about it, people described it as a burnt sugar smell. Although it is sweet and heavy on the caramel, I feel there is something quite ‘noisy’ about it. I believe it might be the licorice note… It’s also very powdery to my nose. At the same time, I was so surprised at the similarities between Pink Sugar and Soft by Al Rehab. Both sweet scents, but I feel Pink Sugar is more suitable for night time, while Soft can be any time at all. I personally prefer the citrus and freshness of Soft as opposed to the licorice in Pink Sugar. Personally, Soft is a very uplifting, mood-changing scent while Pink Sugar does not have that effect on me. If you feel Soft is too fresh for your taste and you would prefer a night time, heavier scent, go for Pink Sugar. Still in a ‘testing’ period, but so far this scent is just “okay” to me.
    Overall rating: 7/10

I blind bought this based on reviews and fragrance notes. When it came in I was so excited to try it I sprayed it on despite being hot from sitting in the mailbox. I hated it. It smelled so burnt and artificial. I was so heartbroken. Today is a bit cooler outside and I was pleasantly surprised. Cotton candy surprise! I will be saving this for casual outings in the cooler months. Sweet and fun. Just a like for me, however as I was hoping the caramel and vanilla would be the standouts on me. At least it wasn’t a complete waste! My two year d says I smell good, so that’s a plus!

It arrived today. After years of reading ubiquitous reviews of this inexpensive, ostensibly very unsophisticated scent, I finally ordered a bottle. It is absolutely gorgeous. I feel like I’m walking around in a cloud of candy floss. I could cuddle myself. And I love it.

I see that this perfume seems pretty polarizing, so I definitely had to join the conversation.
This perfume is an absolute superstar. It is gourmand in the best possible way and it has always had a perfect chemistry with my body. My parents bougth it for me for my 17th birthday. It’s been more than a decade since then, and I still go back to it occasionally.
Anyway, when I spray it on, first thing I get is refreshing and sour smell of lemon and berries, and even a hint of strawberry. Once the perfume sets in, I get the whole Pink Sugar deal – caramel, sugar, vanilla. It doesn’t get overwhelming at any point – I know some people complain it smells artificial, but it has never been the case on my skin.
It’s sweet, but not in artificial, cloying way – quite literally, it smells like a cake. I would walk into a room and people would suddenly start commenting that they can smell cupcakes. My colleagues craved sweets when I was around (if that is not gourmand scent, I don’t know what is). The drydown is vanilla and musk.
I have never, ever found a gourmand scent that is so appealing and so well constructed. Actually, I can’t stand gourmand classics such as Angel, I find them headache inducing. But Pink Sugar has always been a jackpot for me, just enough freshness and sweetness to make it work.
In a certain way, I’ve grown out of Pink Sugar, although I wouldnt call it unsophisticated. I would recommend it to any girl in her 20s. I still absolutely love it and consider it one of my signature scents, although I wear it rarely at this point. I moved on to some other perfumes, but I still keep one bottle around and spray it when I want that warm, fuzzy and sweet scent on me.

Pink Sugar is that vacation trip to Coney Island your parents took you to when you were twelve that you didn’t want to go but ended up secretly enjoying anyway. At least for a while.
The cotton-candy clouded fun of wonder wheels and custard-filled wafers, roller-coasters of liquorish sticks dipped in strawberry ice-cream and then a final salt-water taffy drag through a vanilla-tapped boardwalk. It is all taken upon by me with a childish zest that exults, wavers and then despairs into tooth aches, stomach turns, brain freezes and an “I told you so” from mom, face painted with a chocolate-smudged smile all the way through. But, just like all National Lampoons are destined to be fondly remembered trainwrecks, once the ordeal is over the idea of going back doesn’t sound half as bad as it should.
For the adult me, Pink Sugar is being Tom Hanks in Big, taking that Coney Island trip in the secrecy of my home, indulging on the candy-addled excesses that should be exclusively reserved for childhood, and still being too embarrassed to tell my cool friends about it.

On initial spray you get a Burnt sugar/dark caramel/faint black licorice combination that competes with vanilla for the first half hour.
The burnt note is dominant. It’s a bit too plastic smelling for me. However, this chemical smell is more prominent when you sniff your own skin. For others an arm’s length from you, they will only detect vanilla.
The dry down is more pleasant. The burnt vibe mellows out and gives way to the vanilla and cotton candy notes which remain at the forefront for the next few hours and until the scent fades.
I will continue wearing this when my mood strikes, but I have better vanilla fragrances in my collection that I prefer over this one.

    The bottle:
Its a nice cute bottle. Nothing much to it.
    Inside the bottle:
Now this is where people either love it or hate it. I personally I don’t really like it, but I understand why people love it. When I was younger I remember loving it but my taste and body chemistry has changed, but this isn’t about me! When sprayed of course you get the cotton candy and caramel scent and licorice scent. When it dries you can smell the musk. It last VERY long thats a plus!
    Overall:
This perfume is perfect for someone who loves overly sweet candy scent. It’s a heavy scented. If you are not a fan of licorice this might not work for you because the licorice is very strong. If you like this scent but wanting something a little more mature I recommend Hot Couture eau de toilette it’s very similar just with some more spice in it.

I had high hopes for this perfume. The drydown is ok, but until you get there… when I first sprayed it, the raspberry just hit me in a very bad way. A mix of raspberry, licorice and some irritating chemicals. But after 15-20 minutes things are getting better, the top notes fade, leaving roam for the sweet cotton candy flavour. Longevity is very good.

Initial spray is heavy on the licorice and cotton candy, then you start getting lighter licorice wears off to a more vanilla powdery/woody tonka scent. Not my favorite! I like more fresh scent so I gave it to my daughter who is in her tweens! She loves it!

Major love. Gorgeous sweet, vanila-caramel, creamy scents. I dont smell licorice, only sweet caramel. Blinded buy on fragranceX for 17USD, and it was a perfect tester unit. I could just buy it from local seller but they selling it on high price. So fragranceX is my pick, took 5 days to reach me in Malaysia and it was worth every penny. 17USD was a real bargain for me. Just try my luck after reading and watching many reviews and videos on the net and i decided to try it. And yes…as many reviewer said… so awesome… i love it from the 1st sniff. I bought it along with simply pink and both are great. I cant pick only one.. i think i should wear them both hahahhaa… i can wear this perfume everyday, all day long and any occassion. And sure will repeat again before the 1st bottle is empty.

I thought it smelled too sweet for my liking, however everyone I encounter (men & women)stops me in my tracks to tell me how “yummy” I smell. With that kind of feedback, how could I stop wearing it? 🙂

For me, Pink Sugar was love at first sniff. It’s definitely sweet and cotton candy-like! I’m fine with this as I gravitate towards sweet gourmand fragrances and I’m a sucker for cotton candy. The caramel and woods make it very soft and comforting as well. It’s well suited to it’s name.

My sister wears this and I know almost everyone does. It smells like something that tastes good after a couple hours of wearing it. But you have to wait until the hairspray smell goes away… It’s weird, but really, to me it smells like hairspray lol

Its crazy how much stress can change your body chemistry. Many moons ago I bought a bottle of PS and it smelt solely of creamy caramel. Love!
Jump forward a few years; My depression is on a rampage, I couldn’t afford my tiny studio apartment, constantly having decide between food and bills. It was awful. One night, when the depression was almost unbearable, I sprayed some of this on(same old bottle) hoping to lift my spirits; Licorice. Dark, black disgusting licorice. I almost threw the bottle away.
Today: My life is stable, my depression is in control, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been! The same ancient af juice from many moons ago now smells of the fluffiest, freshest cotton candy on me!
I highly recommend that if PS didn’t work for you in the past that you absolutely give it a 2nd shot and see if your body chemistry may have changed, cause this stuff is just so fantastic. I almost forgot how delicious it is <3

I just had to write a review about this one because something strange happened that has never happened to me before with regard to any perfume. I bought it a couple years ago and I absolutely hated it. I remember that it smelled like Licorice and strong perfume e type of smell. Exactly what I would not wear in a hundred years. I ended up giving it away. I don’t know if it was perhaps that UDP which would explain the difference but what I bought today was the EDT and I’m in love with it. It could not smell sweeter in a better way. This is something I’m going to wear all the time. Nothing like I remembered it.
I just started getting into perfumes a couple years ago and most recently once I found the website fragrancenet.com started really building my collection. I rely on reviews since I live in the mountains of West Virginia where there is literally no shopping. Everything is a blind bye. This is just amazing. I am so grateful that I gave it another shot. The reason that I did give it a shot again is because of all the rave reviews on YouTube. I just couldn’t believe that all these people that generally have the same taste in perfume love it and I hated it. Maybe I got a bad bottle? but this is incredible. I also was able to get the entire set which is the large bottle of perfume and the hair mist and a large lotion for $21 on fragrancenet. You just can’t beat that price.
So basically I’m writing this for anyone who at one point in your life thought you didn’t like it you might want to try it again. I don’t know what the difference is but it’s night and day for me. I normally wear Dior Cherie. I love anything that has a strawberry note that actually can be smelled. It seems to be a pretty rare thing for some reason. Who doesn’t want to smell like strawberries? I am not a young person anymore but that has not stopped me from wanting to smell sweet. I guess my taste is immature for my age but I definitely don’t feel like I’m in my late 40s. I feel exactly the same as I did when I was 25 so nothing has really changed for me overtime except for my liking of this perfume. I couldn’t be happier that I gave it a second try

Love this fragrance. My 4 year old daughter thought she was smelling pancakes but it was my perfume lol. It’s great in the summer and the winter.
Update: I have a fig tree in my apartment complex and so I went to put my nose into the leaf to smell it. Well it is bitter, sharp smell and I definitely smell it in the perfume. Almost all day! I still love it though.

I just bought my second bottle. This is such a fun scent to wear. The smell and sillage is amazing. It’s definitely a fall/winter scent, since it can be a bit overwhelming in the heat. This scent is becoming a staple to my collection. It is extremely affordable where I’m from.

Now I know why my partner enjoys this on me.
The dry down is to die for! Fairy floss, caramel, vanilla goodness❤️
I wore it before bed last night, I won’t kid ya, I went with about 6 sprays.
This time it didn’t smell too much? Or burnt.. It was yummy, edible, and sexy,
I woke up this morning, surrounded with a sugary sweet smell. Ohhhh it’s perfect!
This lasts pretty well on me.
So happy to have back up bottles. This too, is a perfume that smells better over time.
Can’t wait to finish my current bottle, just so I can use the other one ❤️
I’ve reviewed this before. It’s just gorgeous. I’d say it’s my favourite fairy floss/caramel scent. Along with CH 212 sexy.

i tested this one time it stayed on my clothes until the next wash strong strong musk here i pesonally like musk but this is way too much and what i hated the most was that burned sugar note …so sad this is pretty cheap and long lasting but unfortunatly i will not be buying soon

Straight up linear sugar from beginning to end and quite persistent too! A strong NO from me. In its defense, the name and bottle are faithful to the essence of this scent. What you see is what you get. Cotton candy lovers, if you dig this, I’m happy for you and a little envious since it’s quite affordable. But please don’t wear this in closed areas. It can be difficult for those of us who can’t handle strong burnt sugar scents. Thank you.

Had a pretty intense fling with PS at the height of my “I’m trying to be a grown up but still secretly want to smell like cotton candy” phase. Don’t tell anybody, but I even owned the hair perfume AND the roll-on body shimmer.
I never got the licorice note with this one. . . Definitely picked up on the caramel, maybe a quick touch of something spicy (is that it?), but on me this just read as an ever so slightly more complex cotton candy frag.
Once everyone and their sorority sister started wearing this I stopped liking it, cos, duh, I invented cotton candy perfume! Plus, now that I really am a grown up I wear Gale Hayman instead.

Temperature today was 109. Had to run an errand so I decided to try it since I just got it today. One spray on one wrist was quite enough. It’s a bit strong going on and it last that way for about an hour in the sun. I guess the word sweet is right for the description of this. I don’t smell cotton candy, licorice , or candy, just sweet??. The dry down reminds me of jimmy cho, jimmy choo edp. I actually like jimmy choo, so might layer and see what I get. I don’t know anyone a I can recommend this to, It makes no fragrance sense to me. It not complicated or mind blowing. Anyway It’s not bad it just meh to me.

I’m just going to start off by declaring I love it. I get licorice which I love and some type of vanilla fudge and a faint trail of caramel. NO cotton candy, no citrus, mostly vanilla, fully a love for me. Lasts for ages for such a cheap perfume and I do not feel as if it comes off as a juvenile sweetness. I do not care that it’s called Pink Sugar. This is sophisticated sweetness. Very similar to Delicious Cotton Candy but this lasts and lasts and lasts on skin and on clothes, and the cylindrical bottle is easier to spray from than the pink cat-topped DCC one. If you love sweet you’re most likely gonna need this in your life. It’s been two months and I’ve used two thirds of my 3.4 ounce bottle already. I’m getting another.

For a REALLY similar perfume with comparable longevity and a bit less sillage (more on moderate for 4/5 hours) try the negligibly priced Billion Woman Love by Paris Elysees (1/3 to 1/4 of the already cheap Pink Sugar price).

I just can’t. This is horrid. I’ve had it for few years, wore it once in public, one single spray, and i swear people were avoiding me like a plague.Pink Sugar can choke a person in under a minute. Even my daughter who was 17 at the time, refused to wear it and stuck with her Chanel No.5. I use Pink Sugar as a cat deterrent when i put my Christmas Tree up. Few spritzes on lower branches, and my cat avoids the entire room, let alone the tree. I also spray the curtains around holidays, and it’s honestly the longest lasting room freshener i have ever found. I have Black Sugar, Gold Sugar, Steel Sugar, Pink Flower and Chocolovers, but Pink Sugar is offensive. Someone at Aquolina was heavy handed when they were mixing this stuff up!

  39. :

    5 out of 5

Even at age 47, with a sophisticated nose and a love of complex adult fragrances, my lizard-brain STILL goes gaga for Pink Sugar! I can’t wear this all the time, but if I’m in the mood for a gourmand perfume, THIS is the one!
Pink Sugar starts with a brisk burst of strawberry, lemon, and aniseed (licorice) along with a bit of burnt caramel (not overly burnt, but rather like the top of a well-baked flan). It is intensely sweet from the get-go, but those citrusy and anise notes temper the sugariness while your nose adjusts. As the fragrance dries down, it becomes pure vanilla and caramel. To me, it smells less like cotton candy and more like an entire sweet shop, down to the last caramelized hazelnut, was liquefied and bottled!
The quality is pretty impressive– this has the strength of a pure parfum rather than an EDT, and 1-2 sprays is PLENTY to keep you fragrant all day. I like some pretty strong perfumes, but with Pink Sugar I can’t even spray it too close to my face lest I be overcome with diabetes. I have to distribute 1 squirt between both wrists and apply another single squirt near my navel.
Totally addictive and delicious. Not an everyday thing for me, but when I’m in the mood for it, it just fills me with happiness! DO NOT OVERSPRAY.

This is one of the very first wine purchases I made when I started getting into fragrances. I do love sweet perfumes but over time I’ve learned that they don’t always smell the best on me. Things that like me back or perfumes like Chloe by Chloe or do your Cherie. These celebrity fragrances and super super sweet smell so awesome to me but they don’t translate into smelling awesome after they’re on my skin for a while.
With all that being said I just knew that this one was going to be a winner because I love candy smelling perfume and back then I didn’t realize that the sweet fragrances weren’t going to work for me as well. I was completely shocked when I smelled this for the first time. I smelled it and then I went back and read the reviews again from all kinds of people singing how great it was and how much it smelled like sweet candy. All I could smell on my skin from the very beginning a deep licorice smell. That overpowered every other note in this perfume from start to finish it just smells like licorice. It was so disappointing and so entirely gross. I saw the licorice note when I read about it before I bought it but I didn’t dream that it was going to dominate this fragrance. Dark yucky licorice does not smell good. That’s just my opinion but on me it was horrible.
Tonight while I was thinking about this fragrance I found another option and it’s some kind of cheap celebrity type fragrance and I believe it’s called sweet cotton candy. The reviews for that one we’re saying that it’s pink sugar without the licorice. So there we go. Another Blind by on the way. I think I paid $20 for a big one. It had rave reviews of people switching over to that from Pink Sugar because of this licorice note. Once I receive the new bottle of the new perfume that I’m referring to I’m going to find it on here and leave a review.
So clearly this is going to range widely on how this smells on different people’s skin. I sincerely wish that I was one of the people that smelled cotton candy or any. It’s just not going to work for everybody I guess.

Pink Sugar has found its way back into my collection and my heart. I had this earlier in my hobby but gave it away after getting Simply Pink, which is very similar but without that burnt note, figuring I wouldn’t miss the original. Well, I was wrong; I did miss it. I debated buying it again but always had something else on my list that seemed more important. Then a few weeks ago I was in a Marshall’s near Denver and they had Pink Sugar gift sets that were irresistibly adorable and for only $15 or so, so I grabbed one and am so happy I did. Applied judiciously, Pink Sugar is a wonderful candy gourmand that doesn’t smell quite like anything else and leaves you in a daylong soft cloud of sweetness. It’s much more skillful than its price and reputation would have you believe.

I bought a bottle of this when I was teaching biology at a university back in 2007. It was so sweet, candy-like and delicious. I remember the caramel and cotton-candy. It was so beautiful!
I remember one day, one of my (male) students came to see me during office hours. He walked in and said, “What is that smell, it is incredible”. His pupils were dilated and he was edging closer to me!
Anyway, I have a tiny bit left but it has changed color and has turned a bit bitter. Such a shame.

I had a bottle of Pink Sugar some years ago, and I had the same experience as jojopie, it turned fairly quickly. Use it or lose it. I loathed this when it first came out. Then I went through a gourmand/dessert phase and enjoyed it. I received compliments on my “floral” scent so I think the burnt sugar cotton candy aspect probably morphs into a more floral musk scent on skin. Anyway, I liked wearing it during a hot summer. I never replaced the bottle that went off.

I love sweet fragrances so hating this was a surprise for me. I got the original and the gold edition of Pink Sugar and-I know this is going to sound dumb-but both of them were the perfume equivalent of just mashing my nose into a bag of basic Great Value sugar from Walmart LOL The gold edition was like burning some sugar THEN mashing my face in it. No depth, no zing, nothing. It kind of made me nauseous too because the perfume had a bit of a burnt plastic after-scent. Meh. I didn’t care tho since it was cheap.

I bought a 1.7 oz of this and wasn’t able to finish it before it turned yellow and the scent changed. I love this scent but there’s no way I could go through a whole bottle of this before it turns. I would have to bathe in it.

Based on the fact that I like sweet, fruity fragrances (including the ubiquitous Body Fantasies Cotton Candy), I thought I’d give this one a whirl. It’s a no-go for me, though. It smells even cheaper than your average body mist (some of which are actually really great for everyday wear, or just feeling fun and girly). I wish I could better describe what put me off this scent. Maybe it’s the caramel notes. I’m not a fan of caramel notes in fragrances that are supposed to be light (I also don’t like Prada Candy).

Pink Sugar is sweet but comforting. It’s very much vanilla. I like to wear it on the weekends before I go to bed. This is not your everyday type of scent but still kind of fun to wear.

This is what me and my BFFs wore in 8th/9th grade (and I’m assuming most girls have had this one at some point during their teenage years). The scent brings me back to those days; perhaps it is the melancholia or sentimentality that makes me love this so much and I can’t be fully objective… and this really is just a juvenile, sugary cotton candy scent best suited for young girls, I mean – it is what it is – but does that make me not wear it, still in my mid-twenties? hell no, I’m pretty sure I will always go back to this every once in a while when I’m in the mood for smelling like a burnt sugarbomb. It’s pink, its fluffy, its pure sugar with a tiny bit of burnt smokiness, and I promise, this will last on you longer than most mainstream designer fragrances out there.
The only thing – in my experience Pink Sugar turns bad quite quickly, it starts smelling a bit dusty and musty which is emphasized by that burnt quality it already has.
It also changes color and the almost clear liquid becomes darker if not stored in the dark, so I tend to keep mine in a deep shelf where direct sunlight doesn’t hit it and that seems to keep the juice from oxidizing.
I am very conflicted with this one. I imagine I would most definitely not like Pink Sugar if I didn’t have memories with it and was just testing it out for the first time. I would say it is cheap, tacky, overly sweet, sugary, without any depth, something a grown woman definitely doesn’t want to smell like… but I won’t. I can’t! And that’s what perfume is. Its memories, it’s associations… it’s also a time machine that can bring you back to places you thought you’d never revisit… and this simple little fragrance does that for me, and, I’m positive it does for many others as well. In fact, I’ll go and spritz this on right now, for old times sake…

I’ve always found Pink Sugar to be an amazing scent. It’s so delicious and sweet but I don’t find it too sweet. I’ve smelt very expensive perfumes more sweet than this, which I don’t even like… But I love Pink Sugar, especially the “burnt note” people seem to complain about. I’m pretty sure it’s the licorice, which I REALLY love. I’d actually love if the licorice was even more present. For the price, it’s a masterpiece perfume!

I usually love « gourmands » fragrances! So when I saw Pink sugar on sale I blindbuy it. What a mistake it was:( This fragrance make me feel nauseous. A mix of burnt sugar ( not creme brulee like someone put cottoncandy on the stove and let it burn) and citrus. I thought maybe it dindnt match with my body chemistry so I gave it to my friend. She thinks its smell good but too sweet, even on her I smell the burnt sugar. At least I’m happy I just paid $20.

Smells like I went to the carnival and set the cotton candy stand on fire!
Seriously… Super sweet burnt cotton candy is all I get here. I tried this out for a couple of months, but it just did not grow on me. I appreciate the oddness of it. I can’t think of any other fragrance that has such convincing cotton candy or burnt sugar notes. The friend I gave it to loves it.
