Just got this as a sample, my first oud scent of several I ordered because I had no clue what oud smells like. I’m really smelling aged patchouli… and only aged patchouli. The ginger and pepper may be in there somewhere, but good aged patchouli can have the same notes.
Still trying to figure out what oud smells like, it can’t be the same as aged patchouli?

I get the oud, the pepper, the ginger.. but I REALLY get cypress even some balsam fir going too.
Such a lovely woody, spicy blend with that rich oud as it settles. Really special.

This fragrance has haunted me ever since I smelled it at Dubai Airport, didn’t buy it because of the price – and then decided I would do on the return journey. Returned into a different terminal where they did not have it!! Finally managed to buy a sample and having enjoyed every drop, knew that I needed to get it. And today it is mine!! I cannot describe the way that it blooms upon the skin but I love the way it envelopes me. The oud is gentle and the ginger subtle. Really not like anything I have ever tried before – and I have tried many!! A new love!!

This is beautiful. At first a tad acid, but soon, the oud develops into something vibrant and deep, yet not heavy. It’s so vivid I almost can see the grain of the wood. It makes me happy.
