Description

The fragrance for men by the house of Gucci is expected to appear on the market in September. It stands for a masculine and modern companion of the last year’s edition Gucci by Gucci.

The edition for men, Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme was created by Frida Giannini, creative director of the house of Gucci, in cooperation with Givaudan and P & G. The perfume is characterized as a modern chypre woody and includes notes of bergamot, cypress and violet in the top, the heart containing tobacco leaves and jasmine and the base notes consisting of patchouli, amber and Elemi – incense which is not derived from wood. When combined with tobacco leaves, Elemi contributes to intensity and longevity of a fragrance.

The bottle is made of transparent, steamy glass and is crowned with a silver top with a well-known symbol of horse-bit. Frida Giannini personally was in charge of design of this companion of the edition for women.

The face for the Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme commercial will be James Franco, and it will be directed by Jan Wentz. TV commercial was taped in black and white. The actor James Franco, in James Dean style passes through an apartment saying lyrics of the famous song by Bryan Ferry-a “Slave to Love” to his girlfriend. The recording session of this commercial was accompanied by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who made photographs for the new perfume.

Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme includes bottles of 50 and 90ml EDT, 90 ml aftershave 90ml, 75 ml aftershave balsam, 200ml shampoo and 75ml deo stick.

Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme was launched in 2008. The nose behind this fragrance is Aurelien Guichard.

I own the gucci by gucci pour homme in the edt travel spray version. The fragrance is pleasant, intense, strong and masculine. The tobacco is felt with arrogance but only for a few tens of minutes. Afterwards the cypress and violet take over. Here the cards on the table change because, in my opinion, the latter removes from the fragrance the sense of initial virility. With leather and amber we try to recover the great masculinity lost in the central phase but the scent is repeatedly knocked down by a presentful jasmine. Finally, then, that note of bergamot could save it.
It remains a great gucci but not among the best.
    Analysis: 7/10

Salve.

if it’s performance was 6/10 it could be bestseller.

Reminds me of something between YSL L’Homme Ultime and Coach for Men. Longevity is like 3 hours and immediately becomes a skin scent :\
    Scent 9/10
    Performance 2.5/10

Got this for 40 bucks from a closing down sale .when I tested it I sure liked the masculinity in the scent so I purchased it and didn’t have time to test performance. MY OH MY , the performance is a HUGE letdown. God awful performance holy sh** this juice is like 90% water. Major disappointment

Thisw as between 2008-2015, a wonderful smokey patchouli fresh yet spicy tobacco scent. I remember buying the deodorant in 2008 as a student and just swooning. The current formulation is severely watered down, avoid!

What a wonderfully gentle tobacco scent! The tobacco note is instantly recognizable from the first spray, but instead of an old-school tobacco note, this one is distinctively modern. The cypress and violet notes add a beautiful green overtone, both sharp and mellow at the same time – it is difficult to describe – but there is great depth and sophistication in how they interplay without dominating each other. The result is an oakmoss-y depth that avoids being barbershop-ish.
I don’t get a powdery note, nor do I detect the jasmine. The sharpness of the perfume seems to come from the bergamot, which opens up and becomes distinct after a few minutes, yet it doesn’t overtake the complex nuance of tobacco and green notes.
It is a beautiful perfume that isn’t for everyone. It is distinctively masculine. The way that the tobacco note makes it seem dark while being clean can’t be emphasized enough. I can see this perfume as a good introduction to tobacco-dominated perfumes for those who are just starting out.
    Cheers!

Had a bottle in 2009 or 2010. I absolutely loved it. I could smell it the next morning. My favourite from Gucci (Rush is a close second).
Bought a bottle a few years later, and was horrified.
Not even 10% the original formulation. Watered down to almost nothing. Still trying to find a replacement for this. All suggestions I’ve tried seem nothing like it to me.
Not tried the original pour homme, but I’m guessing it’s in the same style as Rochas Lui, which I like a lot, but Gucci by Gucci will always be my favourite, or it was until Gucci butchered it.

This scent is absolutely fantastic. A perfect work fragrance. I really like the bottle design with that famous Gucci horse bit…very manly. My nose picks up subtle creamy tobacco, smokey woody, cypress notes. Three words to describe GPH: Class…elegance…SOPHISTICATION. You can wear this year round, day or night with the exception of very hot days.
Projection on my skin is less than 1.5 feet which makes this scent very safe and inoffensive at a workplace.Today it really hasn’t garnered me any compliments on account that this scent sits close to my skin and not really projecting.
Longevity on my skin, I need 8 to 12 sprays to start my day, then I have to reapply 3 to 4 hours later with another 3 to 5 sprays to finish off my day. I really do enjoy this bottle but I tend to run out of juice pretty fast as this is my second bottle. That’s my reason why GPH is not my daily “go to” fragrance. I purchased the 3.0 oz bottle online for under $50.00

I bought this cologne after smelling it once. It to me has a juicy/water fresh tropical kiwi vibe with a peppery, tobacco middle. It seems to dry down after 15 minutes to a masculine but fruity tobacco sweetness. The dude I smelled it on must have put on 8-10 sprays. I try not to put on too much. I have sprayed 1 to 5 sprays and gone to work several times. I don’t want to be that guy that overdoes it. I am not sure you can overspray this cologne because its sillage is so poor. I absolutely love the scent. I am not sure how it smells to others and I have not received any compliments with this one.
This would be a scent I never want to be without but it is a cologne for me. I would love to try an edp or intense version.
UPDATE: I LOVE this cologne and I discovered that it lasts all day as a close up scent if I spray it a few times on my clothes.

Initial impression – kind of peppery, small, non-offensive, but sharp fragrance. One hour later – I experienced a beautiful intoxicating vapourous classy smelling citrus and lavender perfume coming off my arm which was in the hot sun while sitting outside at the cafe – beautiful. I also had some Mont Blanc Legend tester on my foream, so that was working in tandem I think.
    Purchased!
UPDATE: Very nice fragrance, but basically only slightly better than a skin scent in terms of strength and sillage. I would much prefer and recommend Aramis Tuscany – so much better in this regard, it’s a proper fragrance when compared with this.

  12. :

    5 out of 5

You just can’t deny that it smells so bloody nice.
    Woody slight sweet.
Not very interesting but man it is so manly and likeable.
    Performance could be better.

  13. :

    3 out of 5

I really like the smell of this, very cool, very classy.
Unfortunately the performance is absolutely abysmal on my skin, there isn’t much projection to begin with (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing), but it becomes a skin scent in 1-1,5 hours, and it’s totally gone in 2-2,5.
I haven’t experienced longevity this bad outside of 007 ocean royale, and at this price, that is simply not good enough.
Now, this might just be a case of my skin chemistry not jivin’ with this juice at all, and as I said, it smells fantastic, so I’m not going to say ‘don’t try it’ – but I am definitely saying ‘don’t blind buy it’.

Can’t create any words to describe about this fragrance, simply stunning! This is a very classy fragrance

I skipped this over for years. Then I shot a spray on one day and realized this is a great scent. Inoffensive tobacco and leather. This is my leather armchair smoking a sweet pipe tobacco scent. Great cooler weather office or casual fragrance. It lasts through a whole work day on me. It gives me a small inoffensive scent bubble. Don’t buy this if you want a projection beast. This is a refined low-key fragrance.

  16. :

    4 out of 5

It’s nice and safe scent, a bit too generic for my taste.
Smells the same as EDT “Denim Gold” by Denim (not listed in Fragrantica) which you can find for the lowest price of around 10 euros in shops, silage and longevity are similar, with only difference that bottle and package looks way cheaper.

Gucci (by Gucci) is a charming masculine aromatic. The opening contains a charming burst of vivid aromatics so arousing, it just leaves you breath-taken! Deep, passionate, and romantic. It’s that kind of fire that makes you want to buy it as soon as you smell it.
The most prominent aromatic notes (violet and sweet tobacco) project with a bright and bold vivacity. Ambrosial probably would be the best way to explain the aroma. It’s something like a cocktail of the most sensual dark-fruit pulp, accented with a hazy masculine grain provided by the subtle presence of pepper.
The fragrance is so well-blended, and projects with the full sense of hard work and detail so legendarily accustom to the art of luxury craftsmanship. The scent doesn’t come off cheap in any way; or just thrown together; nor does it possess any type of quality to it that might make a man feel ashamed wearing it.
Gucci (by Gucci) is a fragrance that’s very well-suited for a man to wear with dignity. Everything seems to come natural while wearing it: The sense of great style, the comfort of its arousing charm, and the feel of genuine luxury provided by the quality of the blend.
Ranks of nobility legendarily wore custom fragrances as the distinguishing attribute of their character, and Gucci (by Gucci) definitely projects as one of those kinds of scents, making it an instant favorite among men with a taste for the divine.

First of all, this review is based on Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme, the first batch bottle. Thanks to my fellow Fragrantican friend, Asrul Afrizal Anuar that help me find the last bottle of first batch of Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme. Really appreciate it.
This gem smell fantastic. Although I’m not a smoker, I love the smell of fine cigar/tobacco. This, smell exactly like a menthol unlit cigar. And it’s long lasting too. I get more than 9 hours with this.
This will be my new signature frag, replacing my Gucci Intense Oud that I acquire before. Although I love both.
I don’t like the new batch of Gucci Pour Homme. Upon spray, it only smell fantastic menthol tobacco for the first 5 seconds, that replaced by leather accord. No no no. I want that amazing menthol cigar smell for hours, not for 5 seconds.
If you read this right now, go find yourself the bottle that stated Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme that don’t have a vertical line on the box. You’ll thank me later.

so i picked the bottle from my closet after good 5-6 years and man did i miss it!!?
this juice is not for boys, it is for men! men who overrun testosterone. confident and macho is what this juice speaks.
i have a little story with this juice. i entered a night club wearing this with a group of friends and sported an acquaintance at the bar. the greeting turned rather wild and she did confess that it was the cologne which i was wearing which did the magic ;). she did mention that if she will ever smell this cologne again she would instantly recognize it.
fast forward few months and another group of friends came to pick me and she was with them. as i entered the car, wearing this very cologne, i see her in the car and the look she gave me was like.. i know you are wearing the same cologne!!
Update: i checked the latest available version and this has been reformulated beyond recognition. Now i can understand all the hate. Dissapointed!!

Just received a 90ml tester for free and I’ve gotta say, it’s not bad. I spritzed it and immediately thought of Vick’s VapoRub. It really reminds me of the holidays and colder months. Very pine-like, semi-sweet tobacco, masculine, and clean. I personally don’t wear fragrances like this too often because they really aren’t “me”, but this one might grow on me.

Very very weird stuff… After the reviews and the scent pyarmid, I excepted a totally different smell. I would like to get a manly, classic winter time tobacco/cypress scent.. Actually I got it, but very weird. The opening is a pure citrus/bergamot mix without any violet or cypress, and after the first sniff I thoght this will be a summer fragrance. Few minutes later the bergamot fades away, and I smell a very light/airy tobacco/cypress combination with a special herbal/camphor vibe. I don’t know why, but it smells like a sports cream or a rheumatic cream…Interesting…Later joins some patchouli, amber and resins, but this camphoric vibe lasts very very long. Anyway, this is a clean, safe, masculine fagrance, but do not blind buy. The sillage and the longevity terrible, as most of the Gucci, so this is the reason why I dislike…
    – spring/autumn/witnter, but maybe could work in summertime. Very versatile stuff.
    – sillage and longevity are poor. longevity around 4 hours
    – try before buy
    Scent (open, top-mid): 6.5/10 (x2)
    Scent (drydown, base): 7/10 (x2)
    Sillage: 4/10
    Longevity: 4/10
    Uniqueness: 8.5/10
    Versatility: 9/10
    Total: 6.563 /10

So very disappointed in this fragrance. I bought it wanting something expensive and long lasting. I may as well have bought something from a cheap shop.

I love the crisp clean woody smell of the cypress with hints of leather and tobacco. It’s a very elegant smell that would be good for cooler weather. This scent lasts a good 5 hours on my skin and is very pleasant. My wife even likes it… and she hates most colognes.
I also use Versace Oud during the cooler months. Gucci by Gucci will be a nice lighter addition to the Fall and Winter months. I found a bottle at Nordstrom Rack for $44. I had to get it. I watched a lot of reviews of fall and winter colognes on Youtube and Gucci by Gucci was usually one of the top 3. I would have to concur with those reviews.
Two Thumbs Up for Gucci by Gucci!

Absolutely phenomenal. Nice subtle tobacco with a beautiful green overtone. If it would only project a little stronger on me. That aside, its defiantly one of my favorites.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

Generic, good longevity, a bit decorative.
    Not for the history books.
Not good enough for the really special occasion or the strange isolated moment.

  27. :

Absolutely gorgeous, silky and gentle stuff. Its class, sophistication and understatement all at the same time. One of the best scents in my wardrobe but this thinig simply doesnt last. You get 1 hour of average performance ..if you are lucky. After an hour, you wont be able to detect a trace of it on your own skin.
    Noticeable similarities to Trussardi Uomo

  28. :

    4 out of 5

At first application, I get a smooth blend of tobacco and balsamic spice that do well in cooler seasons. I can’t help but feel a little extra classy while wearing this one and to me, screams gentleman. I love the dry down as it mellows to a leather and woods base that rather than halts at being a stale and stagnant, smells sweet and refined. I can get roughly 4 hours of wear and it dries to its base fairly fast.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

Quality: 4.5 out of 5 – It’s a beautiful, high quality scent. For me, it borders on a masterpiece. I LOVE it. The magic happens after it’s been on me for 3 hours.
Originality: 4 out of 5 – It’s very original yet triggers a scent memory in me of Jimmy Choo Man. I have both, yet prefer this.
Projection (Sillage): 3 out of 5 – moderate; Only people in your near vicinity can smell your scent, unless you’ve just sprayed it.
    Longevity: 3 out of 5 – moderate; 5~6 hours
Versatility: 4 out of 5 – This scent is very versatile; it works well for day/night, autumn/winter, office-based work/formal occasions and for men over 25.
Value: 4 out of 5 – currently £49 for 90ml. It’s about the going rate for a fragrance of this quality. I love it enough to pay this but if it’s on sale, great!
Compliment Frequency: 2 out of 5 – Nobody moves away but I don’t get compliments on it either. To put some perspective on this, I’m wearing it now and haven’t had a single compliment on it over the whole day. A guy walks into my room wearing Creed Aventus and 2 people complimented his within 2 minutes! Yes, it’s a hugely different fragrance but what the hell?! 🙂
Packaging (Bottling): 4 out of 5 – Much thought seems to have gone into the packaging; it’s attractive and highly functional.
Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5 – Great – This fragrance does just about everything you could ever want from a fragrance of its type (meaning it’s good enough for a lack of projection, longevity and compliment frequency to ignore). There aren’t any significant problems with the fragrance, I love it but not everyone’s nose/skin is the same so you may not be left in complete awe. Not ground-breaking but has the potential to become a classic and should be considered a staple for collectors.
Recommendation: Not everyone loves everyone’s taste so try before you buy but otherwise to me, it’s so good it’s worth blind buying!

This has the most stylish and refined masculine silky tobacco notes. I still have the 2012 bottle with some 10 ml remaining and it smells the same even today. Brings back memories of my first Eu trip(Swiss). Love this perfume very much. Sharp ,crisp and elegant. Thanks Gucci

  32. :

    4 out of 5

This is a very pleasant masculine scent. It strikes just the right balance between clean, fresh, invigorating and sharp(ish) notes. The citrus opening quickly gives way to the green woody core. The tobacco note is very mild and doesn’t bother me. This is a safe blind buy for your man, and a great refreshing scent for warmer days.

Wow, so many performance ‘issues’. Makes me wonder if people expect every frag to be “beast mode”? Classyness doesnt have to yell, and this stuff is classy. I dont find this to have any worse performance than most of my other frags. Great scent, projects and lasts more than people make it seem.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

This fragrance. Just wow. Good job, Gucci. Good job letting an awesome fragrance go to waste because of hall of fame shitty sillage and longevity. At least try to make the longevity and sillage semi-bad, and not downright awful, so your customers will at least try to forgive how ridiculous the performance is. I last longer in bed than this fragrance. In fact, if I were to apply this fragrance before sex, the fragrance would vaporize before I was done. Maybe that should have been the slogan: “Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme. The fragrance that is gone before you come”.

  35. :

This is very dissapointing. Smells quite nice at first –then 15 minutes later almost nothing. Very very disappointing. I’ll be ebaying my bottle after this review. It’s also made by proctor and Gamble –another disappointing note. Expected far far more from Gucci.

  36. :

It smells good but I don’t get very many compliments on it. Just smells like a generic cologone. Maybe slightly better. Deffintially worth keeping in the collection though!

Revisited this one today and all I can say is wow! I used to just spray this on just before leaving the house in a t shirt and jeans not thinking about how I wanted to smell. I always thought That it smelled good and would do for the moment. Upon closer sniff, this fragrance has a bit of depth to it. The opening of this scent is almost minty, the cypress and violet really play nicely off of each other and the citrus is present, but restrained. The mid notes of tobacco and jasmine come through with subtlety, giving some warmth and sweetness after the minty opening. It’s at the mid notes that you get a craving for more of what this scent has to bring, but it is also at this point that the scent just seems to restrain itself. We get a nice resinous, leathery finish framed by a bit of patchouli. Is it a bad scent? Not at all. Is it innovative? No. Will it go well with a field jacket, a clean tee, jeans, and some Stan Smiths on a date night? Yes!

This has been my signature scent since it was first gifted to me in 2010. I still own a bottle from that period, which has always been stored in a humid environment with daily temperature fluctuations (my bathroom). To this day, there is no detectable change in the scent or its performance (the latter being meh to start with). It is unquestionably a sturdy fragrance.
The scent can be described in one word – suave. Wear this with a tux or dinner suit and you’ll be shifting your 007 swag mode into overdrive. Seductive ‘femmes fatales’ will try to kill you, guaranteed. It’s an all-season, semi-formal/formal, evening-only fragrance best suited for when you’re playing baccarat at the big boys table.
I imagine most blind-buy purchasers do not regret their decision.
EDIT (Sept 13th): I bought a new bottle with the newer name. They watered it down. Oh well.

if you wear a suit to work then you have just found the perfect work scent. with 6-8 hours of longevity and moderate silage this baby comes off as a pleasant and inoffensive scent. its mature and serious without being old manish or outdated. there is some sweetness and flowers in the background that balance the heavy cypress, tobacco and leather accord. Perfect balance between the dark and lighter notes. The final result is quiet sublime and extremely classy.

Ultimate men’s fragerance!!! This is so sophisticated, warm, romantic, seductive, sexy and classy. Quite an underrated perfume but one of the best out there for men. Smells expensive. It is a modern yet a very classic scent. This will drive women crazy. I can see a young man with class and an edge wearing this. But also ideal for a maturer man also. Smells manly and clean. Plus love the masculine chic bottle.Love it xoxo
    Sauve!!!

My previous review was about this fragrance being fantastic, but lacking the performance. I sampled it 2 days ago and it lasted around 5 hours. It was quite ok but the sillage was still poor. I put a lot of thought on it and decided to buy it anyway. I passed this because of the performance, but the scent is so amazing that I can’t resist it anymore. Many said it is generic, but to me, it is a refreshing winter scent. Maybe others won’t notice this fragrance, but other don’t notice The One EDP, GPH 2 or L’homme too. I enjoy them and I will enjoy this too.
    Scent: 10/10
    Longevity: 5/10
    Sillage: 3/10
Even the performance is bad, just go on and buy this beauty. I changed my opinion and I hope you will too.

  44. :

Very masculine. Nice tobacco scent and really spicy. I don’t get the powdery notes people mention. Women seem to enjoy it so that is a plus obviously. Projection is ok for 2 or 3 hours. Longevity isn’t great unfortunately. About 5 or 6 hours and it is pretty much gone.

  45. :

    3 out of 5

Got a decant of this and tried it. No opinion of this whatsoever. Smells fine, not great, not bad. Longevity about 2-3 hours. Not impressed with performance. Nothing to get excited or disappointed about.

Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme a great manly smell!
Gucci smells really masculine and you get tobacco, patchouli, cypress and bergamot with some other notes mixed in. It’s a manly scent, and signature worthy.
The downside is performance. I get about 2-3 hours with weak projection. It’s a shame because this one smells awesome. With better performance, it would be a super star.
You will get some compliments with this one shortly after applying. But it fades so fast that nobody will be able to smell it after a while. But it does smell great and it is suitable for any time of year and nearly every occasion.

This perfume is amazing.Very clean sweet and so mouth watering.I can’t explain it in words,i mean when i wear this it feels like i am not on earth i am in heaven. This is the most underrated frag i had ever encounter. Not only girls, but woman, man and even teenager enjoyed it on me.Alot of happiness captured inside a bottle. It is moderate scent and after few hours it just become skin scent. But you will not gonna stop smelling your shirt and palm again and again. This is just a pure perfection.
    Scent 10/10
    Projection 8/10
    Longevity 8/10…..Peace….

This in my opinion is the last great
release from the house of Gucci, i
    absolutely love this masculine powdery
tobbaco smelling masterpice, i would have
put this among my top 10 if it wasnt for the
poor longevity and sillage, still a great buy.

I don’t like designer perfumes and at first I was really skeptical to this Gucci scent. They always try to maximize their profit and do not care much about quality. First when I sprayed this, It smelled very boring and mainstream but after an hour it smells really different. I love the dry down. The only question that needs to be answered is whether I should buy a bottle or not. I think I will try it at least 2 or 3 times more before taking any decision.
Scent: 5/10 the first hour, 8/10 for the dry down

James Franco and this scent is really the same. Both aren’t attractive enough. The outside is ok. It’s even very sparkling. But the inside is very…nothing to talk about. It’s fresh. It’s soft. The opening is very…headache because of all the nothing new ingredients combining with eachother. Modern, young, fresh. Just so. The base notes are not something new or special.

The scent is amazing but the performance is so poor that it will be a pass for me. I fell in love with the opening and it as beautiful. I wanted to give it a try to see the dry down but after a short time the scent disappeared. It wasn’t there. No one will notice this fragrance unless they look so close that they can see your blood flow. This fragrance is same as Gucci Pour Homme 2 for me. It smells amazing but not worth buying due to performance.

This is a nice fragrance, easy to wear and a very comfortable smell, my only issue is the longevity… I emptied a full 1.5ml sample and after 1 hour is gone… WTF??? It was a bad sample or really has an awful longevity?

Now it’s called simply Gucci Pour Homme. The box is not plain grey now but has 2 vertical stripes.

despite all negative reviews, i like this perfume. it’s really calming, well-balanced and classy fragrance that suits beautifully to gentlemen over 35.
    thank you Gucci

It opens with a smooth, elegant tobacco. The woodsy cypress is also there. It’s a great smelling, mature fragrance. The performance is terrible though, like others have said, after 30 minutes or so it becomes a skin scent. To smell it, I literally have to place my wrist to my nose, such a shame.

I wanted to add a ladies perspective to the reviews here, as I felt this one could be very wearable and unisex, and I wasn’t wrong. It opens a bit more ‘masculine’ but that warms up very quickly into a sweet floral tobacco scent that features some very interesting notes. I love the elemi in this (I don’t have many fragrances that feature that note, in fact). But on me, this is predominantly a tobacco/violet/amber fragrance and that’s what makes it so wearable for either gender. I’ve only had it on a couple of hours and the only other thing I can say is, it’s not a powerhouse. It’s quite softer than I expected, but still smells lovely. Definitely pleased with this purchase.

Not bad as commercial perfume goes, and good for a season, but not something I could develop a life long love for

Love the bergamot opening and the drydown is very pleasant with wood notes. Trying to identify the tobacco in there, maybe it’s part of the greenish fresh scent that I enjoy. However, as other reviewers have stated, in not much time it becomes a very light scent, but that’s where it’s solidly understated, when so many other colognes become cloying or tiring. really wish it was stronger though. As G. Georgiev stated, I’ll look for an intense/extreme version, unless I can find a good price because I do really like this one.

I just tried the re-bottled/re-named version of this the other day (it’s now just called “Gucci Pour Homme”), and this is almost a dead ringer for the old Moods Uomo by Krizia, one of my favorite 80’s power scents..
Ultra smooth tobacco and patchouli scent this one is, just like Moods, but with less leather and moss. Moods was discontinued a long time ago, but if you miss Moods, get this!
    My rating: 8.5/10

Soft sexy scent, does project overly well but I think for a scent like this it’s perfect. It’s intimate anyone in your personal space can smell it and it draws them in, great for a night out or a date.

It was reformulated and redesigned the box , And on the bottle now the name is just gucci pour homme

Great scent. This is an office scent, a scent for a well-dressed and elegant man. The bottle design is very good. Longevity is moderate and sillage is non-existent. I read in previous comments that 6 years ago it was with decent longevity and sillage. Such a shame for watering down this scent. It could be my favourite if it was stronger.
Great scent but it’s too weak. It doesn’t worth its money. Waiting for very intense or EDP version or the old version. I will skip it till then.

3 sprays on my neck and I am good for all day.
The projection is moderate for the first 6 hours, then it gets close to your skin, but in a good way.

If this lasted on my skin I’d buy 10 more bottles. But it’s too weak – how bad.
    Love it anyway

Prety good scent، maybe more for mature men. Hatem by Rasasi is a much cheaper well-done replica, give it a try if u like the Gucci.

I’ve enjoyed reading how much this fragrance has split opinion. It’s been slated for being generic, whilst others have referred to it as a masterpiece. In terms of availabel High Street fare, this IS different. My first spritz on a test strip in Boots this morning and I was like ‘urgh, this is some dank musty rubbish – what is this smell?!’. Tobacco. Lovely moist, smokey tobacco seeping through the cypress and bergamot. Sure, berganot is found in most frags. However, the tobacco note sets this aside the deluge of citrus / fresh spicy scents out there at the moment (Sept 2015). I can smell the amber and patchouli on dry-down, and it adds depth, which combines to make a great masculine accord. The downside is the longevity, which has been noted by numerous folk before me – its not great. The answer? Top it up with a discrete travel dispenser! This is far from generic. Its a good, solid, interesting day / night, all ocassion scent.
    Have a great day!
