Its so true, this is a lighter version of Lolita Lempicka. And amazingly affordable – I have all 4 of them in a set and this one is the sweetest and most cozy for both winter and spring. spicy soft violets yum!. Amazingly uplifting and comforting scent. Thrilled to bits!!
UPDATE: Its not lighter than Lolita – it lasts for at least 4-6hrs and is a tad more powdery. Sooo good.

Well this was a nice surprise. Thought I’d give this a try, it was really cheap and I wasn’t really expecting much, but wow, this is lovely. It smells so much more expensive than it was. Sometimes I can’t understand how I pay the price I do for something designer and the fragrance disappears from me within 30 mins, so frustrating, but there’s always an upside when I find a cheap little beauty like this. I’m not good at describing notes but I definitely get the liquorice, there’s a lovely sweetness to it, it’s spicy but not overly so. Very nice indeed, I shall purchase this again for sure 🙂

I’m so disappointed. I’ve lost a friend I dreamed of for decades. I first smelled this perfume when I was a teenager. It wasn’t mine, it was a colleague’s perfume. I loved it instantly for its wonderful violet smell and sprayed it on a leather item that kept the whiff for months. I smelled a very smooth, comforting perfume that felt like satin. I wasn’t able to buy it back then because it wasn’t distributed to my country. And I kept dreaming of it over the years. So I bought it recently and couldn’t wait to receive it. No way did I know it was going to end in tears – otherwise I wouldn’t have bought four bottles!
When I first smelled it, I was smoking. Now I’m not. So I’m not anosmic to the licorice anymore. The horrible, pungent, nauseating licorice. The truly animal smell. It’s bad in so many ways that it’s like a rainbow of ugly. Of course, if you like it, lucky you! I don’t like it so I lost a dear friend because I had no idea it had this ugly face to show.
For those who like this, they should know it’s a knock off Lolita Lempicka Lolita Lempicka. But this one actually has less licorice smell. For me that’s a good thing but not good enough as licorice is still the most prominent note. In terms of longevity and sillage, both perfumes are very similar. They are strong perfumes (the damn licorice), keep for most of the day, but stay quite close to skin. They leave a trail only a short while after applying.

Delicious! A beautiful blend of liquorice, spices and musk, with sandalwood. Lovely sweet spicy perfume. I LOVE it! It’s gorgeous. And I adore the gorgeous bottle. So pretty.

Ordered this off (German) ebay in my quest for a licorice-scented perfume. It’s a very nice scent, slightly soapy, definitely sweet and powdery in a sandalwood sort of way. To me it really smells like a lighter, less sugary-sweet “Honey and the Moon” from Tokyo Milk. Or very very mildly of a lovechild between Lush’s “Snowcake” and a bar of soap.
The mimosa in it is very deterring at first, by interrupting the gourmand aspect with its soapiness. I really don’t smell much, if any, licorice.

A very good Lolita Lempicka dupe. Cheap and wears well.

I just got a bottle of this on eBay – it was said to be vintage, but obviously Cosmic Girl is not from 1984,since it’s an Angel clone of sorts, so this is a flanker of the original Clin d’Oeil, which I thought I was getting. Anyway, I love it! It is very much like Lolita Lempicka only not nearly as loud – it’s like the parts of Angel and LL that I like without the booming brass section. I am also getting the violet and it goes well with the licorice and warmer gourmand and sandalwood notes. I will definitely be wearing this “cheap and cheerful” fragrance a lot!

Just tested today , i really agree it is like LL’s Premier parfum .
But to me it is less complex , and the liquorice note is less strong , which makes it more wearable to me , and to you if you’re not a liquorice fan either.

I’ve tested Cosmic girl and another one of the Clin d’oeil line recently.
The one smelled e-xac-tly like Lolita Lempicka, the same liquorice note there, while the other one was more subtle, with tangerine, jasmine and vetiver as the main notes.
I enjoyed the second one. Still I cannot remember if it was cosmic girl or the elusive scent. I’ll get back to that.
The overall impression, since this is the first time Bourjois perfumes are available in Greece, is good quality, reasonable longevity and great price around 11,5 euros.

A much much nicer version of the original Clin d’oeil, which I found somewhat plain. This one is wonderfully spicy and sharper, although it is not very strong and would not hurt your nose.

I expected it to be only spicy and maybe a bit woody. never did i suppose to smell musk. and there is loads of it… maybe it’s the combination of mimosa with violets, but the first half hour is hard on s.one who doesn’t stand for the smell of musk. the dry down is pretty though. smooth powder with a bit of spice. it’s not the blunt kind of spice, but s.th. that makes people close to you trying to figure what’s with the “smooth smelling” 😉
