Description

Biotherm is launching their first fragrance for men Biotherm Homme Force, which has already arrived on the European market, while it can be expected in the USA in June 2010.

The fragrance was created by Bruno Jovanovic of IFF, with an aim to stimulate mental and physical energy with notes of citruses, water and wood. The perfumer says the following about the new fragrance: “Mental strength gives men the power to get what they want and the confidence necessary to acquire physical strength. I wanted to recreate that in this fragrance by using fresh-scented ingredients with electric, ultra-stimulating top notes. From the effervescent “take-off” to the fragrance it leaves in its wake, all of these scent notes play off one another in a way that makes you feel confident.”

The fragrance starts with aromas of sweet lime, grapefruit, green mandarin, adding neroli, cardamom, absinthe, cedar, Haiti vetiver, amber and patchouli.

Flacon of Biotherm Homme Force is available in amount of 55ml and 100ml fragrance, along with 150 ml deodorant and 200 ml shower gel.

Ok just an update on this fragrance. It’s not bad actually, it’s minty citrus still just reminds me of a toothpaste I don’t know why. I wore it today on a 28 degree day I’m from Melbourne btw. I got compliments galore at work, i only sprayed 4 on me and it worked wonders. People seem to like it, so I thought to myself hmmm interesting. Anyway longevity sucks, about 5-6 hours tops. It’s a pretty good fragrance for the summer for what I paid, try it if you can get your hands on it well worth it coz it’s a compliment getter.

It smells like toothpaste with citrus. For the price I paid I’m happy I got it so cheap. Good for summer. Not keeping this in my rotation that’s for sure.
    Longevity 2-4 hours
    projection poor
    Sillage none
    Seasons summer

Worldwide recognized for its skin care products and cosmetics, the French company Biotherm released, in 2010, its first male fragrance. The aim was to embody the power of spring water, inside the very source of the mark, as an aroma that expresses dynamism, freshness, toned skin and strength, of course!
With notes of lemon, grapefruit, Mandarin orange and energetic citrus, its output is irresistible and very successful. I say this from the point of view that most perfumes are sold specifically because of their output. And, on that basis, I find it hard to believe someone doesn’t like this one. In the heart, elements of intensity as neroli, cardamom and the captivating Absinthe. Finally, a woody base with cedar, vetiver from Haiti, patchouli and a subtle amber, that warms the fragrance and gives a heady touch. A delight!
Another highlight is the bottle: all metallic, with a bold non-slip grip. It demonstrates strength and sportiness.
Unfortunately, the projection is very weak. At about 3 hours, the scent stays very close to the skin and the feeling of not being more scented is automatic. However, in one of my tests, I received a compliment after hours of applied. That is, it looses the projection, but lasts, even in a very subtle way.
In my opinion, is a great cologne for a lunch after the beach or for sports activities, although not labeled as such.

A good fragrance, though longevity has been a bit hit-and-miss. It died off pretty quickly on my first encounter with it, but the next few times it hung around for a lot longer. Opens with mild/strong citrus notes, and mid notes are somewhat aquatic, but have the faint citrus undertone too. Unfortunately, the middle notes can be a bit synthetic-smelling. The base notes are quite subtle compared to the top and mid…it hangs quite close to the skin after a couple of hours.

Mild citrus top notes arouse interest in what is to come but is far to quickly washed away by cheap aquatic middle notes that supress the neroli, cardomom and absinthe. Base notes are so weak as to be almost non existant. I have discovered that it works better as a base layer for Armani Code.
Advice: Avoid, there are far superior fragrances available at lower prices.

I do love its first note; however, it does not last long at all! What a shame!

Very mass pleasing, for top not buyers, go for Aqua Bvlgari for a dark citrus water, which is a lady killer- or the popular ADG instead.

Another fragrance that’s opening with an overload of citrus. Dries down pretty fast and gets warmer by some nice wood scents but the harm has been done by then already. Could have been an ok fragrance if it had a more subtile opening.

A correctly blended, nice, manly, a bit spicy aromatic aquatic.
I agree, it’s nothing new, but still – pleasant.
Has a surprisingly big sillage and staying power.
I really liked something in the middle notes, which certainly isn’t neroli or cardammon. Something very fresh, breezy, aquatic.
The fragrance gets a dry, kind of classic edge from vetiver.
I would also never thought that this is a bottle of a fragrance. I noticed it only because of a big ad poster next to it.

This is such an uplifting fragrance and the grapefruit, lime and orange is very strong on first spray from the bottle. Then we get the watery accords blending with the neroli, cardomom and light woody background. This fragrance seems to change quickly with each sniff. Very fresh “summer holiday” fragrance and is ideal for the warmer weather. Great bottle, you would never say it was a fragrance bottle – looks like the handle part from a set of dumb bells at the gym. The downside for me is the fragrance fades too quickly close to the skin and I need to re apply the fragrance after 2-3 hours.

Another mainstream generic awful ménagère of synthetic notes than smell nothing but a cheap aquatic citrusy.
Definitively powerful and long lasting but gave me an instant headache
I couldn’t detect any electric, ultra-stimulating or effervescent notes. Just a terrible synthetic aquatic grapefruit all the way.
    Try before buy!
