Bakhoor Khas is Concentrated Perfume Oil (CPO) which comes in 3 ml format. It is classified as Strong Woody & Herbal Notes, Strong India Oud but not of Good Quality. Price too is placed low by Ajmal so thats not a Problem. Oud is Mixed Khas & Herbs to toned down Burnyardish & Animalic smell But still it has Strong Animalic which will go away after certain time. Good for people who wants to test Oud or Venture into the World to Oud. I agree with Adam’s Oud Review that if you want to smell best Indian Oud go for Saif Al Hind from Same Brand Ajmal but thats V Costly & Quality of Oud is V good.
I use this oil for mixing with Many Scents, Like Mukhallat Al Shams, Alif Laila, Woody (Rasasi), Sometimes i layer it with Rose, Musk, Sandal or Amber Perfume Oils.
Longevity & Projection is Good, Packing is Good & Bottle looks Good too

Impression (TL;DR): Reminds me of “animals” by Maroon 5. Not in a sensuous, deep red way but in a very hay-y, barn-y, stable-ish aroma. “Fecal” from one of the reviewers here was my first impression, but post wearing it a couple of days, hay is a truer expression. What’s excellent about it is it lasted A LOT LONGER on me initially, but then it became softer and lasted lesser.. or maybe my nose adapted to the fragrance? Considering the same thing happened to me with my AH Million, I guess the latter is true.
Projection: If you’re a fruity, floral or deep natural fragrance lover like myself, this won’t float your boat. It’s very animal, thick, and this juice is definitely not deft in its realization. It takes time to merge with the skin smells, but it does have a VERY STRONG projection with the moderate to low sillage it offers.
Application: Stick the applicator into the beautiful packaging, pull it out and just swipe what’s on the glass rod on your wrists. spread with index finger and poke that finger to the back of your ears. Use the remaining juice on the strobe and apply on your palms/fingers and spread to collar neck and shoulders.
Packaging: Beaut, and truly one of the best. Tiny glass bottle sitting encased in a golden Urdu engraved metal casing topped with a gold blob-like cover that has the glass strobe stuck to it. Looks royal on the dresser or in the depths of your shelf to keep it out of light and in the dark (thereby preserving it longer), wherever you keep it. A 8/10 on the packaging undoubtedly.
Verdict: Not my thing, undilated. Will get back trying it with different combinations/notes/CPOs and update :).
Update 1: Tried to layer this with this yummy serum I own. Overtook the serum IN TOTO. Not a trace of the serum. Oh boy, this will be tough layering!
Update 2: Layered it with Al Haramain Sultan. Cheap and chic. Smells gorgeous (idk how they blended), and I can now smell something that’s like a beautiful tragedy.. its softened the oud and also softened the fruity strawberry gourmand of the sultan. Definitely like it!

Amazing! This came recommended by the highest possible authority here in Fragrantica, and who am I, weak and feeble woman to resist a handsome gentlemans recommendations? Oud here is a beautiful concoction that oozes through different layers of animalic and green notes. On application there is an almost fierce, funky smell of Oud coming through a robust smoky chunk of realistic wood with something approaching to green olives, yes, green olives with all their juicy fruitiness! This, I suppose is the “funky” bit which lasts a fair bit. The predominant sensation here is that of a smoky, sultry, semi sweet Oud that reigns supreme all through its journey. I must say that this is an excellent kind of Oud but, nevertheless it needs time to develop and understood properly. Very smoky, smooth and seductive, with only a faint touch of greenness. Add to this a beautiful, oriental, delicate bottle and you have a Major Winner!!! A total Must!

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this one for a long time. Luckily I got a great deal and pulled the wallet. It is indeed very oudy and a bit barnyardy. But I like it. As a reviewer mentioned below, it makes great blends with my other Ajmal oils. Layer this with something sweet and you can create something new and exciting.
I also find the container very elegantly designed, very modern and ethnic at the same time. It has a place in my display rack.
Even though I have lived in the middle east for a long while, oud is an olfactory taste that I took some time to acquire. I did not like it much at start, but have grown to appreciate it a little more than I used to. The thing about oud and a few other notes, like pure musk, insence and vetiver, is that they are not meant to be sniffed too up close. The diffusing molecules of the oil in the air as its warmed up by your body is what makes it pleasant. If you have no experience with oud, no one can blame you for not liking this immediately. Don’t try to sniff it too hard and give it some time to settle. Plus with oils its best that you rub them evenly to get a thin layering. If you do have experience with oud oils and are not bothered by it’s aroma, you may like this.

Extra anamilic oud smell …. it is like the smell of a stable- fecal hay

this is a perfect oud for beginners.. yes its not expensive.. or the rarest oud.. but for the price of about 15 us$.. its a good start.. at least it gives the wearer an idea of how oud smells like.. its smokey.. sweet.. and opulent.. long lasting ..and it comes in oil form.. its very viscous ..so u need less than a drop to last for 3 days on clothes ..its woody oriental.. and deep.. very good for layering.. and perfect for winter nights ..smells better when seteled and has the ability to mix and mingle with each persons own body chemistry.. smelling different on each..its of course a unisex that can be worn by men or women
the smell is rich.. deep.. seductive.. sensual.. and very oudy.. smells like indian oud mixed with cambodian oud.. although the name says bakhour kas which translates to special incense..i guess its a bit incensy.. its mostly oudy ..florally ..lightly sweet.. yet dry ..and velvety ..it is anaimalic.. like most ouds
a not for non oud users there is a hint of a fecal background smell to most ouds its an acquired scent just like the indolic jasmines and the fecal smell of the white floral indoles ..also oud has a strange particular after smell which makes it so characteristic there is nothing quite like it ..so u really have to give it time and understand how it develops it is best when layered with taif rose saffron musks and ambers so i advise those who want to try oud to go from oud blend of rose oud saffron and amber this is usually called a mukhalat or a blend its easier on the western noses that are not used to the oud notes ..from there you might want to dig deeper..

yes, it is indeed a cheap version of typical assamese oud.
hayish, sweetish with touch of an animalic notes.
beautiful and affordable for the beginners.
as stated in the previous review it takes time to appreciate this aroma, but eventually you more likely to fall in love with it and then look for a more advanced oud scents. i would recommend any pure hindi oud from a trusted source, but this is not as easy as it may sound. most people/companies delute their ouds and there are only few trusted sources to get pure/high quality oud oil in the west. two of them are well know by the oud heads, they are ensaroud and agaraura. small note =) prepare your wallet as pure/high quality oud is not something cheap, but its definitely worth it.
if you want better oud by Ajmal then Saif Al Hind is a nice quality Hindi oud by Ajmal, however keep in mind that the scent of oud may vary from batch to batch.

Hi all, I had the samples for Ajmal Bhakoor Khas for a very long time. Initially when I sniffed it I thought this is more of a medicinal feel, but despite that I had tried for a couple of days and I had realized this had a very sweet hay smell and I even smelled tobacco after a while.
I guess this should be a medium quality Hindi Oudh. I wanted to try a high quality Hindi Oudh preferably from Ajmal as they specialize in Assamese oudh. Any suggestion please . I don’t mind even Hindi from other brands. Please do suggest. As most reviews says, Hindi Oudh doesn’t smell like farm yard. It does smell very beautiful and I love it.

I agree with Zulf Khan. But what I do is mix this
with Ajmal 1001 nights (attar) and Ajmal Musk rose.
And apply it on wrists. The smell gets me lots of
compliments. It becomes a very classic woody scent
with rose, musk etc in the background.
Its long lasting. And animals and camels will disappear like mirage once this is mixed with musk
rose and little bit 1001 nights oil.
This one comes in highly concentrated oil in 3 ml
    bottle. Bottle is very attractive.
I would recommend this but try it before buying.

Too strong not a favourite in females, they feel it too animalic and too be precise, its a too camely.
this should have been with a sweet floral note.
