scent : 9/10
sillage : 7/10
longevity :7/10
60% night/ 40% day fragrance
nice pineapple scent
reminds me of black XS with less performance
vitez koja – :
Just like Zara Man Gold, a black XS copy. Slightly different smelling, almost unnoticeable.
муча – :
Okay, I’ve read the reviews comparing this to the king of man fragrances, Aventus.
Are you people out of your minds?!
While there might be a common note somewhere, this is not even remotely close to Creed’s masterpiece.
A repulsive explosion of the most disgusting synthetic cloying pineapple that sticks to the skin aggressively and has moderate projection, Zara’s Gold is a rather cheap affair, and I don’t mean price. Just please don’t compare it with Aventus, such a comparison is beyond absurd.
The reminiscence to the quite repulsing but popular Paco Rabanne Black XS are way more justified, I also find it midway between XS and its more intense version.
8mawado8 – :
Surely people who are comparing this with Paco Black XS, are getting it mixed up with the very similarly titled Zara Gold Man?
Zara Gold is surely an attempt to clone Aventus, with its smokey pineapple leading from the front. Maybe it’s a bit more tart and less complex than Aventus, or maybe that’s just my mind playing tricks on me due to Aventus’s weighty reputation and price tag. Bear in mind I’ve only ever had a 2ml sample of Aventus, so I’m familiar with it without being an authority.
*Update*: have compared it again to Aventus. The pineapple note is louder and more tart in Zara, but otherwise very similar. It is less formal than Aventus, and lacks that famous Creed base of musk and what I imagine is ambergris. In short, it is a more tart, casual and dare I say cheap version of the Aventus style.
I’ll say this though: I have absolutely no regrets at the $15.95aud price. How could I? It will be great a fit for casual Fridays where I want to smell, you guessed it: smart, but casual.

Seriously It smells indeed like “Aventus” by Creed and i do love Aventus so much.
ohh121elipseskism – :
This is a straight rip off of Black XS but a good one at that, and amazing value for money.
The performance is just below average.
Comparisons to Aventus are ridiculous to say the least.
Оblivion – :
I cannot believe how cheap this fragrance retails…just crazy cheap…I just bought this and silver (30mlx2) for less than 8 euros each…gold smells exactly the same like Jaguar vision…it is like 110% the same and I am 400% sure about it…of course..that is why many guys find them SOMEHOW similar to aventus…nice fragrance for what you pay…great value for sure!
yakovbuga – :
This is sweet, fresh, fruity and classy. It reminds me to Creed Aventus.
wolf89 – :
Why it smells like pineapple?
Борис93 – :
Nothing to do with 1 million..
Something between Black XS and Black XS L’excess
artcoredj – :
People say its like Paco XS but i immediately recalled one million by Paco when i first tried this.
I already read this is Zara’s answer for the One million hype for their consumers. Zara constantly changes they’re line at maesa corp. And my friend works there and said its Zaras take on one million as well as Zara for him gold
Linka – :
it’s paco rabanne black xs in a better bottle. the same fragrance!! but cheaper. Someone would like to tell me why it’s so common in perfumery someone copy another designer fragrances and it seems to be ok, they just change bottles and prices.
InitGruph – :
It’s really like Paco Rabanne Black XS’s scent. It’s nice smell like a peanut aroma. Sweet and spicy soft. Sometime I got dizzy after smell. Meanwhile, anyway not expensive in price because If I compare, it’s cheaper than Black XS.
The most impressive is the bottle. It’s kinda not so strong bottle but very good looking gold coloured metal with elegant pattern.
kalargon – :
Great frangance. I would compare it to MAN by Rochas and I got to say I dont know whch one to go for!
trerlyhekly – :
Excellent for the price. Really good. But as for being similar to aventus……. In sorry no way. Aventus for me is much better, however this is like £15 aventus £150 odd!!! I can smell some similar Kinda tones but its just not like aventus. Aventus is my all time fave. Amazing. If ya get the chance to own that juice go for it!!!!! But gold is good very good and the zara night also great. Very good longevity n silage. Impressive fragrances!!
ZloyCheater – :
As a couple others have said, the original version of this fragrance did have a bit of a smoky quality and wasn’t too sweet. That is my impression as well. I haven’t tried the new ones but some say it is now sweeter and without the smokiness. In any case, I think it’s similar enough to Aventus for my purposes but I don’t wear these kinds of fragrances often. If you do, you might prefer Aventus by a wide margin. The opening lasts a long time and then there is a decent but unexciting woody/amber type base. Also, this may be better in cooler temperatures. So, if you try this in a store, you may not be smelling the formulation that I have, but if that’s what’s available then that is what you will have to decide upon. Reformulation in this industry is such a major issue today (to me, at least) that you can’t really make assumptions about whether a review you are reading is of the same formulation you have tried.
Beeklymaymniqehd – :
well its really a good alternative to the aventus, without the heavy smoke in it. Ask many people , they all say that aventus is only a bit smoother.
drakonchik99 – :
Troppo presto si trasforma in sapone pulito e scompare come tutti i profumi annacquati…un vero peccato perchè non sono malvagi per essere a buon mercato.
