a base note accord of fresh oceanic musk and meditative sandalwood.

I absulutely agree with sherapop. When I first looked at the notes I thought I must have selected the wrong perfume. I found this to be exquisite, very feminine and natural smelling , a laid back floral. I loved this but several people commented that it smelled old. And one if these people wears many perfumes that some would call old, so it concerned me a little, especially bcuz I secretly thought the same, probably due to the powdery sandalwood florality if it all, however its so well done and beautiful THAT I dont care, yet it did stop me from purchasing a full bottle.its also been done before, this soft floriental, which also makes it a tad boring…..but as I mentioned its so high quality and beautiful I cant help but love it. So I guess my little roller with last a while, oh yes and on me this is very long lasting, which is very rare these days, even with niche

What comes from Within: Peace is a personal pool party in a bottle. Thank you for the lovely sample, SHP.
WCFWP starts off with soft fruit sherbet creaminess and pool-side aquatics, as well as Sunlight beating down on the cement around the pool. There is an uplifting, citrusy-brightness that lingers in the afternoon air.
My friend in high school had pool parties every Summer, and this sweet fruit with musk and citrus + aquatic notes captures those eternally happy days. Projection is good but not outrageous, as is longevity. It lasts all day and into the evening, drying down to a skin scent for the last two thirds of its life. I agree with Gosha that the aquatic must can be a little much after you’ve been smelling it for hours. This, however, is the fragrance’s only potential downside.
As it develops on my skin, I suddenly see a tremendous tray overflowing with bright watermelon wedges. On the wooden patio table surrounding the tray, are Ring Pop Candies in bright wrappers boasting two tropical flavors swirled together.
Relaxation. Peace is less a remote, tropical destination, than it is someone’s decked out backyard, where you are always welcome to sit around listening to top 40 radio with tropical Popsicle in hand.
There is an over-sized plush towel with your name on it, if your lips start to turn blue, and you can even spend the night if you want to swim more the next day.
What Comes From Within: Peace is the scent of simple consolation in a world full of intense change. It’s an invitation to put everything else aside. To kick your feet up and relax in the bright, warm, afternoon light.

For some reason, Sarah Horowitz Parfums What Comes From Within PEACE seems more like a light floriental to me than a woody aromatic. I am reminded of slightly sweet and yellowish orientals such as Lagerfeld KAPSULE FLORIENTAL and Jil Sanders Style Pastels SOFT YELLOW.
I have no idea what is creating this effect, as this composition apparently contains no flowers! Perhaps the connection in my olfactory memory bank is simply the sandalwood combined with the vanillin facet of the amber (since amber is usually composed of labdanum, vanillin and benzoin). The musk of PEACE is a clean one, and it becomes stronger as the fragrance dries down. Eventually I’d say that it approaches a skin-scent effect.
All in all, I’d say that this perfume is pleasant but not spectacular and it is related closely to low-key sandalwood vanilla perfumes, only with a good measure of clean musk as well. PEACE smells fairly natural and there is thankfully no sour cast to the sandalwood whatsoever.

I tried this today and instantly thought: “ooooooooooh, that is so beautiful”. It really is light and soapy/musky and fresh and I agree with the description of – bare arms that have been caressed by seawater – and I would add – by the sun!” It would instantly take me on a fantasy beach, turning my sking into warm, honeyed shade I used to get at the end of each summer during my childhood…droplets of sea water on that velvety skin… :-). How very beautiful!
But! …and for me there is a big but! It gets to the musky sweet stage after a few minutes (that indeed are pure and beautiful) and after that really doesn’t change. It becomes very, very monotonous – sligthly sweet musk that goes on and on and on and on and on…and I love musk, but this is so stagnant, that I really don’t feel like wearing it any more… What a shame, because at the beginning I was convinced that it’s one of the most georgeous scents I have come accross in a long time.

A must for those who enjoy bergamot combined with musk. The little roller ball applicator is darling – it is concentrated but once on will not overwhelm anyone near you. It is a very pleasant soft scent lasts several hours. Once the initial citrusy clean bergamot scent tones down, the fragrance doesn’t change much – just fresh, soapy light musk – a little like Kiehls.
