Description

The new edition brings a more intense call for a journey and it was presented to the market in 2010 in the same flacon form colored in black, hiding a stronger perfume concentration – Parfum. The composition is built around the above notes of the original Voyage d’Hermes with added floral notes of rose and warm amber. The composition provides lemon, cardamom and spices in top notes. The heart hides hedione, floral notes with accentuated rose, green notes and tea notes, with a strong trail of musk combined with blond wood and warm amber.

The fragrance Voyage d’Hermes Parfum is available as 35 and 100 ml parfum and belongs to the Voyage d’Hermes collection.
Voyage d’Hermes Parfum was launched in 2012.

Smells like steamed rice mixed with cardamom. Unless you’re hungry for Indian food, pass.

Very good spicy. Refined and particular. Apparently it looks like a classic cologne but the spices give that touch of fabulous beauty more!
    I like it!

This opens with an amazing blast of cardamom and lemon.
But there is a dirty note underneath. I’m not sure what it is. Rot and soil? Dirty Roots?
Gin and tonic. Juniper and Quinine.
At the end it becomes a soft, slightly sweet and spicy creamy scent. Very pleasant.

Voyage d’Hermes EDT was a love at first sniff. Many years ago I had the full intention of purchasing a bottle, however, due to financial circumstances, Voyage d’Hermes fell off my buying radar and was sadly forgotten for some time.
I was browsing the fragrance department at my local store only last week, when I remembered how much I loved Voyage d’Hermes. Unfortunately they didn’t have a tester of the EDT handy, but they did have a tester bottle of the Parfum concentration.
Voyage d’Hermes Parfum is more spicy and musky in comparison to the original. This Parfum flanker is also better suited to the slightly cooler seasons, whereas the original EDT has a sparkling citrus-aromatic component that makes it perfect for Spring and Summer. I like them both equally and could see the advantage of owning both fragrances.
Voyage d’Hermes Parfum does last extremely well and is perfectly unisex. It reminds me a lot of another favourite of mine, Guerlain’s Cologne du 68. I have found over the years that I love complex citrus fragrances, especially those with a spicy and/or musky twist. Straight-forward citrus scents don’t wear quite as well on my skin and have the tendency to turn a little sweaty.
Over the years both the EDT and Parfum versions of Voyage d’Hermes have dropped dramatically in price. This fragrance definitely has its fans, and I consider myself one of them.

The cardamom with spices tickles your nose. This stuff gives you a feeling of freedom, uniqueness and comfort. It is really unisex scent, but leaning towards masculine side. Perfect year round fragrance.
Sillage is heavy within 1-2 hours, then moderate for 4-5 hours.
The scent itself: 10/10 signature masterpiece of Jean-Claude Ellena. Love it.

I did a side-by-side comparison between the EdT and Parum versions.
The EDT is very bright, crisp, lemony. It is dry and translucent.
The Parfum, as expected, is more substantial and has greater longevity. It is not as lemony, is a bit sweeter and spicier. The juniper is a different note, and it adds a welcome brightness and an aromatic note. At times there is a note which reminds me of geranium rose, and which is very pleasant. There is a bit of buttery amber, but this is restrained.
Both scents finish with a birch note. The Parfum version is warmer, richer, and smoother.
After 3-4 hrs, the base kicks in and the amber-y/woody notes melt the whole in an elegant aura that remains on skin a long time, asking to be sniffed more and more. Unisex?!…who cares? My personal rank 10/10.
I love it by now and thinking at the moment when I will own and enjoy it, I only can say: “The best is yet to come” 🙂

Bought blind nearly 3 years ago and I usually save this for an cool evening out.
This feels like a good that feeds on the imagination, Voyage d’Hermès expresses the longstanding and unusual relationship between the night and day. A balanced blend of paradoxes, complements and unexpected alliances of freshness and muskiness, all the familiar and yet surprising, equally at ease with men as with women. Philippe Mouquet deserves much respect for this blend of night and day scent suited for special occasions.. warm and intense. Warn at a friend’s wedding (Indian wedding) and stood up to the requirements.
It’s not one that I always pick but I’m glad to have it in my collection.
    Sillage – 7/10
Longevity – 9/10 (I mostly always get a whiff the following day when I’m ready for the next scent)
    Scent – 7/10

Kinda expected this one to blow me away, it didn’t. I like the way it smells, sure, but it doesn’t evoke any type of imagery in me, I get no emotional response, nothing that draws me in. I feel like adding a leather note or something would make it grab my interest. I like the bottle, it sort of looks like a harddrive.

I went to check out another Hermes and the woman helping me threw in a sample of Voyage. I’m not often blown away on first sniff, but this did so. The review below me says it best: it is simple, understated and totally beautiful. I love the opening of cardamom and lemon, then turning to the second and third acts: rose, tea and an amber essence.
No one else may notice as it stays close. But what it lacks in projection it makes up with in longevity. Ten hours later and I can still smell it. I can’t wait to wear this in warm weather. A niche perfume at a good price to boot. My bottle is on it’s way,

Voyage d’Hermes Parfum a class above all others, I absolutely adore this fragrance! It’s light and fresh yet heady and sensually intoxicating at the same time. Crisp yet warm and woody. I can’t get enough of it. The smell is like heaven..manly & fresh…I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist.
    a 10/10 by any standard

  17. :

    5 out of 5

This is such an underrated fragrance. It’s a zingy gin and tonic, lemon, seaspray fizz bomb. That hisses vaporously into a refreshing, airy scent cloud, with understated, nuanced, simplicity and elegance.
It’s one of the few fragrances I have that are undaunted by highly humid warm days. Even rainy days.
I’ve been wearing it a lot in the wind down of warm weather, and I just love it. It’s the type of fragrance that uplifts your mood.
It’s not a nose puncher. So you may not get noticed, if that’s a problem then it might lose some esteem, in that case.
But to my sensibilities. This is magnificent. It’s like a lighter, less complex, version of one of my all time faves–Uden by Xerjoff. It’s in that type of genre though.
9/10. Just a half step down from my absolute faves.

This is bright and powdery at the same time. It’s sweetly refreshing in it’s opening, perhaps a little sweeter than I’d imagined it would be.
4.5 hours later and it’s still very detectable to my nose, so the longevity is acceptable for me, particularly since the opening isn’t challenging at all, so would have no problem reapplying anytime. The sillage is very light, maybe a bit too light, but it’s easy to wear; fresh, understated and pleasant and makes me feel cool and energised. I will add this to my collection at some point and very much enjoy wearing it as a spring and summer fragrance. To me, it’s not cheap smelling, but it’s not a stupidly expensive fragrance budget wise.

  24. :

    3 out of 5

Such an underrated fragrance. It’s a unique fresh scent in a class of its own. I own Bleu de Chanel and other various ‘freshies’, but none can possibly compare to this in terms of quality and overall smell. Most freshies last long through the synthetics used to give them their lasting power (For example, BdC which I also love don’t get me wrong and Sauvage). Voyage Parfum, on the other hand, has great performance and smells the furthest thing from synthetic. That’s just the type of quality you get from Jean-Claude Ellena.
I’m 21 so it could be considered a bit mature for my age, but it makes me feel like the person I want to be in 10 years. I picture someone who’s rich, well-groomed and intelligent. Weird, I know, but this stuff makes me want to be the best version of myself.
It lasts a long time (8+ hours) and has good projection for the first 2 hours. It sits closer to the skin after that which is perfectly fine and the way it should be in my opinion.
    10/10

I got a sample of this, wore it, and bought a 100ml bottle immediately.
    This scent is beautiful! Perfect.
It opens with a super clean citrus blast, and as it evolves the citrus starts to smooth into a warm balance with rose and amber in the background. I catch whiffs of different scents, I don’t even know what they are, all I know is everything about it smells great! Every note. This is a must for my collection. I love it.

  26. :

This is one of the few that inspired the artist in me to explore perfumery.
This is one of the few that far surpasses the hype – or in this case, the lack of hype. ( I work at Nordstrom, this is right beside all of the Terre d’ Hermes variants, right above the Hermessence line, and I never noticed it…. Shame on me.)
Cardamom (by the gallon), sweet lemon, and soft, fluffy white floral notes are the scene stealers here.
This is probably what Jay Gatsby smelled like.
I don’t casually toss about the “L” word…. but man, I love this one.

Put it simply. If heaven exists, it must smell like Voyage d’Hermes Parfum! This is the most precious juice I’ve ever smelled. Classy, chic, manly, unforgettable.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

A clean, crisp scent. Opens heavily with cardamom yet avoids smelling even slightly ‘food-like’. Musky, woody, and green notes round out the scent to give it a full body.
The longevity is spectacular on my skin. I have spritzed in the morning, worked all day, and still had people compliment the scent a solid twelve hours later.

  29. :

Your voyage begins with a blast of gin & tonic (really – it’s uncanny). Then the real magic happens. The citrus blends effortlessly with green tea to create a transportive experience usually reserved for high end niche fragrances.
You find yourself in a spring meadow, on an island in the middle of a vast, calm ocean. Waves of refreshing salty air pulse invitingly from the shore as you bask in the sun, laying in the tall, cool grass. You raise the gin & tonic to your lips and think, “This could be heaven”.
Then it wears off and you sober up.
8.5/10 would trip on this fragrance again.

I love this juice. It’s a little more lemony than I would’ve thought on my skin. And I wouldn’t have thought that I would’ve liked that, but I do. This scent has a strange evolution on me…it oscillates between a lemon cake gourmand and an ozonic, salty ocean breeze with sea grass bubbling to the surface and riding the ocean spray.
I really love cardamom, it has a bitter/sweet spiciness, that seems to also convey ocean breeze somehow.
I think it’s impressive in performance for the type of scent it is. 6 hours or so, decent projection for like 3-4.
I’m happy to have this in my collection for Spring/summer.

Not sure I’m smelling what others are describing, to me it smells of the typical d’Hermes orange with added sandalwood, this is what I smelt and what the house representative told me too

  32. :

This could be an absolute love if the cardamom could live more than two hours. For me this scent is a lemon/cardamom combo, better than the edt version, slightly stronger from it with more cardamom but still the main player after 2 hours is citrus and secondly the cardamom. It’s a skin scent after 2-3 hours with moderate longevity, unacceptable for its concetration. The smell is wonderful.. I’ll try it again for a last judgement… as for now, it doesn’t deserve a full bottle.
    Update
Well, I bought it. One of the best cardamom scents out there and affordable. I don’t mind for the moderate longevity, it’s beautiful.

Most of the people think Voyage is typical spring-summer fragrance but in my opinion, it’s not.. I think it is possible to use every season; the lemon note inside makes it fresher but if you look to other notes such cardamom, spices, rose, amber and musk, it has everything to be an autumn-winter fragrance!
If you are looking for a man fragrance that is not too particular or flashy but sexy, charming and masculine same time, this is a perfect choice.
You won’t take a big risk with Voyage or smell different, but will be more classy than many others.

I’d never even heard of Hermes. But I got a sample of this in the mail, and WOW, once I sprayed it on, I instantly fell in LOVE, and I’m SO picky when it comes to scents. Christian Dior’s Dolce Vita was my signature smell for 19 years. But now Hermes Voyage is. I rang around everywhere for 3 days, all day looking for it, but nobody had it. But David Jones had 2 bottles, and because it’s so hard to find, I bought the last 2 bottles. It was expensive, costing $180 each at David Jones, but worth EVERY cent. I’ve never received so many compliments over a perfume before. So many people have complimented me. I’ve even been stopped by strangers to ask what perfume I’m wearing. I spray this and can’t stop smelling my wrists. It’s everything I love in a scent, fresh, unique, sexy, elegant, sophisticated, delicious, and addictive!

Bazı parfümlerin neden çok begenildigini anlayamadığım olur. Voyage onlardan birisi.
Her zaman cardamom on planda. ” Smooth but not weak” diyebileceğim bir havada.

Oh dear… I fell in love with the perfume on my fathers wrist, it was warm, spicy, soft and yummy. But on me, no no no. The opening was acidic, harshly synthetic and off-putting. No trace of warmth or yumminess, just a sulphuric and nauseating stench. After a couple of hours it turned into way more pleasant scent, but I don’t think it’s worth the wait.
It boggles my mind, how the perfume changed so drastically on my skin.. Maybe the tester had gone bad?

  43. :

    4 out of 5

One of the greatest unique smelling summer fragrances providing you a sense of sophistication and smoothness while remaining airy yet present. The opening is very close to how a freshly blended Gin Tonic smells and afterwards it gradually smooths out to a fresh spicy/woody base that lingers on for a good while. Near the end it’s a light citrus musk with hidden traces referring back to the opening.
Very refreshing, very compliment friendly. Voyage has great longevity and the projection is what it needs to be, present but not obnoxiously screaming for attention. Where it particular shines in my opinion is this very airy presentation allowing the fragrance to create a supersmooth scent bubble that is just so damn alluring and inviting.
It’s like a soft statement boosting peoples curiosity. It basically shows good taste.
Oh, side note : perfect counterbalance for Terre D’hermes during the warmer days. If you would only buy 2 Hermes designer fragrances I would not hesitate and pick up both of these gems. To me you could actually categorize this as colors. Terre would be dark orange and Voyage would be light green.
Great fragrance and perfect if you’re sick and tired of acquatics but still on the lookout for freshness, in a different way.

How i’d like to explain this is smell is, Imagine being locked in an persian bakery and you slept on the floor for a whole night surrounded by delicious persian cardamom sweets and cookies and empty tea cups wearing your Hermes leather jacket, the inside of that jacket the next day is what VDH parfum smells like.
The smell is quite oily and greasy, which is silly to say knowing it’s a parfum. This fragrance is a very hard one to explain, the thick rich and oily opening reminds me of a un-lit maduro cigar, this DOES NOT have tobacco don’t get me wrong, it’s just you know when you smell a cigar and you get that whiff of spice and leather this is what i get from the opening. After 20 minutes in the mid-notes dare i say, it starts to get that generic sweet smell. The leather tones down and the cardamom becomes the center of attention. The dry down relaxes you, the dry down is very calming. This fragrance is very linear it just has it’s highs and lows with the notes. The dry down smells like top notes but the lemon is barley there, and no sweet smell what so ever, the dry down smells like beautiful skin, beautiful norished calm skin that just got a massage and have been rubbed with oils. i could smell this all day and just r e l a x.
Who wears this fragrance? I see a businessman in first class reading his newspaper, i see a university philosophy professor reading his book in his office hours, i see a very expensive palm reader wearing this. They have really got that Hermes leather smell how did they do that? Genius!
    8/10!

I have a hard time finding fresh male fragrances that I love and don’t find generic. Well, once I stumbled upon this one, I fell in love and it instantly become my absolute favorite fresh fragrance. My interpretation of this is an uplifting voyage through bright green cardamom, spicy red peppercorns, zesty Meyer lemon peel, intoxicating neroli, sharp narcissus, white roses, olive oil soap, cold gin, freshly cut grass and iced matcha tea. Although many of the notes are “edible,” this is the farthest thing from gourmand and smells earthy, herbal and dry. I can’t get enough of this one. It’s mature, clean, earthy, herbal and unisex. It’s an exciting and refreshing detour from the boring blue class of Acqua di Gios, Cool Waters and Chanel Bleus that most males have to rely on during the hotter months. Smells like a top shelf gin and tonic.
The longevity on this is amazing and it evolves beautifully without ever relying on clichés. This radiates and uplifts generously, so I would spray lightly if you will be in close contact with others. I disagree with the other reviews and find this longer lasting, richer and more complex than the EDT. The bottle is a bit strange and unnecessary, but I love it for standing out and the creativity behind it.

Long lasting, noticeable and elegant. Perfect for the office for me. It smells refined and professional. I sprayed just a little of this behind my ears and on my wrists before taking a flight. I was stopped by security and passengers asking me what fragrance I was wearing. & to my demise, the drunk woman sitting next to me on the plane just couldn’t leave me alone. A sure winner from Hermes.

I’m in love with this one just like its little brother the edt version
this opens with some lemon and spic and a hit of cardamom followed by green tea and some floral notes in the dry down
when comparing this to the edt version i find this to be more complex and darker mainly because of the amber
i find the quality to be better then it counterpart as well as longevity but projection is still weak for a eau de parfum
i like to think of the edt version being mainly for day use and the edp version being the best out of the two for the evening since i find the edt version to be more citrusy
even tho the edt version is more pleasant to my noise i can see the edp version being in my collection as I’m sure it serves a purpose for what one may be trying to project when being out in a night setting
but if i had to take one over the other id go with the edp version even tho id rather own both
    on to the next
ps i get a hint of iso e super in the background so consider layer this scent with something else you may just love it

It’s a very unique commercial release (almost niche quality), both cool [cardamon, citrus, tea] and warm [spices, amber, musk]. Although not as aromatic as the edt (and less cardamon) and has weaker projection, it’s more sensual and wearable with more depth; definitely stands out from the crowd!

  52. :

I have found the intial spray smelt like Iso E Super which intially made me think of Bvlgari Black. Then soft white tea emerged amongst young green leaves, bergamot and a hint of cedar. This fragrance is elegant and understated, not screaming for attention. I thought it had gone but it reappeared several hours later sitting above the skin with more defined wood and tea. It held together really well and evolved nicely but without drama, which is essential in a hot summer like this.
It’s a beautiful, deceptively simple fragrance, perfect for unisex.

Oddly, I prefer the EDT to this. This doesn’t seem to last long on me at all, where as the EDT lasts all day. The EDT is crisper and fresher, this pulls warmer, but without the depth to make it interesting to me. Disappointed.

I really like this one. It smells great. Two negatives though, one, for a parfum it just seems a bit week. I could use a bit more projection and longevity. Two, it is without a doubt the dumbest bottle ever. It really is ridiculous.

No one does spices and organic earthy accords like Hermes. As i try more and more Hermes fragrances, i understand the style and the signature of the house. It strikes me as the polar opposite of Chanel’s polished refinement. Hermes are sometimes bitter, unfriendly and weird. Even un jardin sur le Nil has a challenging tomato note, and caleche’s powder can suffocate!
Voyage parfum is a crisp, yet warm spicy scent, with a warm undertone. The star players are woods, citruses, spices, cardamom and.. milk! I get a super sexy milk/cardamom thing going on.
As most Hermes, it’s one dimensional, but the quality of ingredients is undeniable. It literally is an aromatic spice heaven. Not those basic “male accord” spices, but a dreamy, evocative spice from another dimension:)
    scent: 8/10
    longevity: 5/10
    sillage: 6/10

I had an instant liking to this perfume. It smells clean yet complex – lemon with cardamom like a good girl with an edge. Hard to find a mix like that. I always get compliments when I wear this. I went to the clinic one time wearing it, and the nurse, while taking my blood pressure, inhaled deeply and said, “Hmm you smell like cake. Like lemon cake.” I laughed and she asked what perfume I used. I told her. My other girl friend can detect the cardamom and she kept inhaling my shirt. What I don’t like about so called light scents is that…they’re too light, no one notices. This one is strong enough to get noticed, but isn’t suffocatingly strong. Am on my second bottle. Will surely get another.

A lovely and fresh, spicy yet soft fragrance with a fantastic opening filled with lemon and delicious cardamom! Perhaps inspired by Indian milk and cardamom tea? Subtle floral, woody and musky notes make for a very agreeable and well-balanced perfume. Innovative bottle design 🙂

For me this smells like a ginger.

Cardamom! This perfume opens with an absolutely delicious blast of the queen of spices alongside citrus and a little bit of pepper. Unfortunately, the cardamom fades within an hour and what you’re left with is less interesting – some dry wood and a bit of green tea. Longevity was so-so. I’m a woman and I loved the androgyny of this. It feels tough but delicious.
If only the excitement of the head notes had been maintained, this perfume would have been really special. It’s very nice, yes, but it had the promise of being amazing and fell a bit short.
If somebody knows of a perfume that keeps up its cardamom note, please tell me!

I only have a sample size of Voyage Parfum and love it more each time I try it. The cardamom and lemon are very prominent and there’s a nutmeg gingery-ness too. These soften down after a while and fresh woods and musk linger on for hours. Uplifting gorgeous scent for both women and men.

ünisex bir koku. 2 aydır kullanıyorum. kalıcılığı edp olmasına rağmen bende düşük oldu. koku olarak yoğun bi koku fazla sıkmamanızda fayda var. zaman geçtikçe damla sakızı gibi kokuyor sanki. aldığıma pişman mıyım? kesinlikle hayır.

Voyage d’Hermes edp is a really gorgeously herbal/green scent. Cardamom and woodsy/spicy blend giving this juice depth, floral with amber aroma makes this fragrances a real attractive all-around juice perfect during the fall and winter also excellent as a tuxedo fragrance evening wear….CLASSY!!
Longevity and Silage is fabulous well past 8hrs when I spray it 2x.
    Finally,
I don’t know if it’s my nose meter but when I first spray this juice on my skin it has a herbal version of Cool Water..in a good way. Hermès has created orginal fragrance including Voyage. I don’t know of any generic aroma from Hermès. On my skin I enjoy the opening notes and how it settles into a really green/floral underlying tones. 8.5/10 I recommend you try it and see for yourself how this fragrance smells.

This fragrance is big on lemon and cardamom, but following close behind are the spices, green notes and florals. The silage is a soft-medium and overall will last around 6 hours before it begins to fade. The lemon is long lasting making this exotic, spicy fragrance refreshing and perfect for the hot weather.

I’m a sucker for a musk dry down and this fragrance delivers but it is one of freshest musk dry downs I’ve ever experienced. The lemon and cardamon are a lovely introduction but the underlying floral notes are what make this fragrance that appeals to women too. This is truly a well balanced scent with great lasting power.

I seriously love the opening, a true slap of fresh lemon, such a fresh citrus burst. Better then the EDT, which in my humble opinion is a classic fragrance in itself. This is extremely refined and well mannered, tea, citrus and softly spicy this is very easy to wear, of course it’s wonderfully expensive, and I think i’d sooner have a bottle of Terre D’Hermes, but this is still a wonderful premium fragrance. The reviewers that claim this fills a room must have intensely precise noses, for me this stays very close to the skin, it does last quite well, it’s 5/5 for me.
Last minute edit, you will need to love cardamon with this one, takes a good while to develop, but it is very intense after a little while.
