Description

This woody and spicy fragrance was created for modern, urban, younger generation. A young man, self-confident, walks the street while buildings made of glass and concrete are rising high above his head, and his heart beats in unison with rhythm of the city. Elegant, woody notes, sweetened and soothed by amber and musk, follow the spicy start. It was launched in 2003.
Top notes: cardamom, nutmeg, pink pepper, ginger.
The heart: Lebanese cedar, guaiac tree, incense.
The base: gray amber, musk.
The perfume was created by Annick Menardo.

a very good scent from azzaro. it’s woody-spicy, with a soft incense and a creamy cedar, fresh and relaxing. for me it’s a very good office scent, it’s inoffensive and maybe someone will compliment you like happened to me. the smell in itself is very pleasant, and the price is a steal (15 euro for 50ml). performance is a bit more than average, good for any season but summer.
on the other hand, to my nose there’s nothing very exciting about this fragrance. not so unique or daring, it’s not a masterpiece and there are tons of scents better than visit. but if u consider the price and the quality of the juice i think it deserves a place in the collection of every fragrance lover.
overall, not groundberaking or daring, but a fine juice with a great price/quality ratio, perfect for the office and a safe gift. un buon profumo, niente di straordinario ma per il prezzo è un affare.

Wow! Simply wow! A blind buy, and definitely a hit, especially at $24 for 100ml!
Freshly cut cedar wood sweetened by a strong nutmeg and supported by a noticeable myrrh/incense (but not aggressive as in Encre Noire Extreme). Great projection without being aggressive.
You can feel the smell of resin, some green, but mostly the wood… wood, wood, and wood!
    Love it!
Winter all day, Spring and Fall evening, 30+
Edit: the drydown is a nutmeg bomb, even stronger than the cedar. I like, but some may not.

Reminds me of Christmas. Smells of a freshly cut Fir. Pity it is no longer available in my part of the world.

I see a big resemblance with Jaipur after trying it for the first time. It must be the incense. Weird that no one has mentioned it yet.

    ★★★★
After the intense peppery & citric ginger opening which is pleasant and invigorating this is smoothly transitioning to a smoky & bright cedar, which surprisingly exudes a sophistication met in niche formulas.
It’s alluring, laid back and light. It’s long lasting, with a moderate sillage, its character is suitable for winter and fall.
I’m loving the incense/woody dry down in Azzaro Visit for men, it stands out in the sea of current fragrance styles but its smoky character keeps it relevant at the same time.
You can get it for a good price, and it’s worth it.
In the early 00s there were still compositions with a vision in the designer spectrum, which makes me feel disappointed with today’s offerings.

If I describe Azzaro Visit in a single sentence it is utterly “the nish scent of Azzaro house”. Opening is like fireworks! Fantastic blend of spicey and woody notes thus there’s no rival in the market. Linear dry down with very good longevity. Unbeatable quality/price ratio; to my opinion it has the best value for money I’ve ever seen in designer fragrance world, you can not be cheated with this one.
Please respect to magic nose of Annick’s Menardo behind this beauty; I call this scent as “one of the Annick’s triangle milestone” in men’s fragrance industry with other two: Givenchy Xeryus Rouge and Bvlgari Black.

Oh my. This is the cheapy cedar I’ve dreamed about. I’ve bought others in this price range, hoping to match the sample of Gucci PH I, but this is it. It even has that pencil-shavings quality to it that I love so much about Gucci PH I. I can finally stop pining for Gucci to bring it back, because Azarro Visit is it. Well, mostly. Enough to not spend, oh, $200 on a vintage bottle of Gucci.

The strength of this scent is on par with the likenesses of Jacques Bogart fragrances It has a small Speck of oud in it It has a nice amount of incense driving it And plenty of Gourmand Essences added into it and It has an above-average strength and creates a force field of fragrance around you Lasted at least six seven eight hours plus for me and forever on clothing To me it smells a little of cigar Blackwood it smells of Jacques Bogart Tower you know… things on that parallel…And for the going current prices it’s an absolute steal and a gem..And in my opinion I will grade it a B+ on all Accords… thank you have a nice day

One of the best price/scent/performance ratio scents in the market. All Azzaro fragrances have a certain quality to it with very affordable prices, and Visit can be placed in top 3 easily.
It is not a beast, but that’s OK. If Visit was a beast, it would be cloying for sure. The most prominent notes, as mentioned a lot already, are nutmeg, cedar and incense. Therefore it’s not a dark-dry scent but warm-dry thanks to perfect spiciness. Even though I find the nutmeg is too much for my taste, I can totally appreciate the creation.
I strongly disagree with the resemblence to Wonderwood or Encre Noire. You can layer both though with Visit and results are incredible! Visit is way warmer and sweeter compared to both, and it lacks the heavy pepper and vetiver. What you get in Visit is nutmeg-prominent cedar and incense. So do not blind buy Visit with hopes to get anything close to WW or EN. However I do find similarities to Ferrari Silver Essence or Pal Zileri Sartoriale.
Overall, amazing bargain for the price, 10/10 fragrance!

So, I like many others here just fell in love with this the first time I smelled it. I’m 37 so I remember Gucci Rush fondly, and I remember wearing and liking it a lot. I get it’s a lot more popular now that it’s been discontinued, but this was always just a flat out better smell to me personally. If I had a dollar for the last decade plus someone said something smells like incense I’d have a thousands of bottles instead of a couple hundred. Haha

I don’t use the expression “love at first sniff” too often. Maybe for encre noire i felt that way but this parfum definitely made for me. Incense, woods, spices.. All blend in perfect harmony especially at the opening. This will be on my top 5 fragrances for sure i feel it coming
It has resemblance with encre noire extreme and wonderwood cdG but due to it’s more on the herbal side i think it’s more like wonderwood which i love aswell 10/10
I don’t even go through with sillage and longevity. Don’t give a damn, i don’t mind reapplying it, this fragrance puts smile on my face and makes me feel really good
Btw i wish i had a chance to smell gucci rush if it’s half as good as that. Such a pity
Btw2: Mrs. Menardo thank you for all the fragrances i love such as this, Body kouros, Kokorico. please keep it coming 🙂

OkOne of the best values I’ve ever found in fragrances. This juice is way underrated. Spicy, woody, smokey, incense. Ideal for winter. Masculine. Not the best projection or longevity but good enough to meet my needs. Just add a few more sprays than usual to get better performance. Doesn’t change much from the top notes to the middle and base notes. But that’s a plus because the top is gorgeous. Wife loves it on me. If this was put out by Creed, people would easily pay $200+ for this juice. It’s that good.
I also noticed there’s a tiny bit of a Azzqro Pour Homme in this. Does anybody else notice that? It’s not easy to pick up, but it’s there in the background perhaps about 10% of its composition.
I bought my bottle a few weeks ago along with Versace Man. (Note: The original in purple bottle, not the more popular Eau Fraiche version in the blue bottle). And let me tell you… Azzaro Visit absolutely destroys the original Versace Man in both scent and performance.
If you are only into fresh sporty aquatic fragrances, then do not blind buy this. Otherwise, it’s a VERY safe blind buy at it’s $20 price tag online. It comes in a cool ass side spray bottle for some seriously accurate sprays like pinpoint control. Love it. I rate this juice 9/10 easily!

I had a couple of 5ml testers. Since I hate incense I don’t really like this fragrance, but the girl I was dating at that time could not have enough of this one. She would get attached to my neck all day. And the performance on this is one really great. Not a blind buy at all, though it’s really cheap. Worth checking it.

They say you don’t get to choose who you fall in love with. I can now tell you this is true for fragrances, as well. You see, I want to be in love with Hermes Equipage or Bel Ami. They fit my perfume image of myself. I like classic, sophisticated fragrances. But I strayed. Went to the wrong side of the tracks. Had a fling with a cheap, easy scent. Just a whiff. Just one visit, I thought. Alas, the heart wants what the heart wants. Oh, I wish I knew how to quit you.

    Another masterpiece of “Annick Menardo”
Spicy and Incense with a good longevity.

The cardamom, nutmeg, and incense make this very “soft”, what some will identify as “powdery”, making the woods blend very warm. The softness recalls wool, and might be from synthetic cashmirwood/cashmeran, though that note is unlisted it has a similar softness to Balenciaga B. This is much more in a balsamic vein than gourmand. If there is one specific incense this compares to, it’s probably Super Hit by Satya (I specifically bought some to compare as I thought it might be more like nag champa). I do wish this was spicier, so I’ve layered it, successfully, with Spicebomb, 1 Million or Ck Shock One. In a way, I prefer the layering option because I like that this excludes a cinnamon note, as I sometimes just want warm woods and nothing else. I don’t pick up on any ginger or bergamot in this, and the guaiac is stronger than the cedar at many points in this olfactory experience. This is certainly a masculine scent, but many women could wear it, perhaps layered with something more obviously gourmand like Black Opium. The bottle is gorgeous and the spray on it emits a strong but diffuse misty cloud, not a narrow stream. Five sprays makes a pretty good fume cloud, and I smell it for hours, it leaves that lovely lingering cardamom sweetness on clothing the next day. If you’re looking for a nice woods scent, just remember this is WARM and SOFT. It’s not the intense hard woods of Bvlgari Man or the overwhelming spicy of Spicebomb, but a much gentler blend, perfect for fall.

I got a decant based on recommendations, now I want a full bottle.
Seriously for the price, you can’t go wrong if you love incense and woods. This is a gorgeous scent. The incense is the main player here and is complimented well with the woods used. It’s spicy, but not overly. I could rock this on cooler days as a casual scent and an office scent. Maybe not as a date scent, cause my partner doesn’t like wood notes..but I’m sure it’s not the same for everyone!
If you love cedar and incense, blind buy it, seriously for the price you can’t go wrong! I’m getting good longevity and it projects well off my skin for the first two hours before turning to a skin scent for the next 5-6 hours. Nothing ground breaking in performance, but for the price get some travel atomisers!

To be easily found at low prices, I had tried sporting this at a younger age but found it too powdery (what I realize now is that I was referring to the dominance of sweet-spices). Upon initial spray that is what you get, it’s a combination of the nutmeg mixing with wood, and I think that with incense gives the feeling of sandalwood.
Azzaro has so much variety and I’ve given most that I bought away (decibel, nighttime, chrome legend I regretted later). But visit will join silver black, and club man as a keeper.
On me I can find no trace of mj bang. I do find a resemblance to body Kouros but that disappears once the cedar takes over. The cedar is actually pretty interesting too!

  23. :

    4 out of 5

Not bad for the price, but not great either. Dry, woody, spicy, quite conservative. I much prefer Le Male and London as night/cold weather scents. Visit is not very exciting… I bought a 50ml bottle for my husband 9 years ago (apparently, I liked it better back then), and he barely made a dent in it (he is not much into fragrances). I’m thinking of using it as air freshener, because I just bought two new fragrances for him, so Visit will no longer be needed.

  24. :

    5 out of 5

Excellent fragrance for cooler weather. Visit is a dry but warm fragrance where the main players are nutmeg, musk and incense with a mild pink pepper note. The nutmeg is my favorite part.
This is a well-constructed fragrance that is fairly mature and can be used for casual or business as long as it is not oversprayed.
In the same line as Gucci Rush, CDG 2 Man, Kenzo Tokyo and Gucci pour Homme. It is not nearly as spicy as Marc Jacobs Bang. This one is an easy reach in Fall and Winter.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

Wood delicately shrouded in soft spices and powder. There is a mild sweet tanginess which may be the ginger and pink pepper coming through. Also, there is a fluffy doughy note in there. Of the Azzaros I’ve tried, this is easily the least masculine. Most of their scents would be off putting on a woman, but this one would be damn sexy.

At first I didn’t really like the fragrance at all. I thought it was to harsh and wasn’t use it since most of my fragrance collection consists of fresh and sweet scents.
Eventually this fragrance grew on me and now I wear it to work almost everyday! To me this is a very modern fragrance and not something you can do a blind buy although I did blind buy this do to the high regards and reviews it has compiled it still took me awhile to like this fragrance.
this on skin only lasted 2 hours for me, sillage is good for an hour and the projection is alright in the first hour but once it gets to 2 hours projection is about arm length.
The bottle design reminds me very much of Star Trek
I’ve gotten a few compliments with this fragrance which is very surprising to me considering how it pretty much dies out within 2 hours.

Woody fragrance that develops a warm spiciness. I can detect the dry wood and the nutmeg notes. I thought also vetiver but this isn’t listed so I must be wrong. Really good longevity at 6 hours plus, and moderate projection. Light and pleasant enough to wear in the office (I was complimented on it at work) even for a serial oversprayer like me. Interesting, angular, modern bottle design in a cool blue colour that, in my opinion, doesn’t really suit the scent though. Very good value for money.

This could be a favorite men’s perfume for me. I pretty much love smelling it and like everything about it… which is saying a lot as most men’s fragrances I tend to just tolerate or can’t tolerate at all on myself. I am reviewing this a female haberdasher.

I purchased a small bottle in hopes that it would be a less formal offering from AZ. Exactly. It’s not particularly complex as a blend and to me doesn’t evolve a great deal. It begins with a very sharp blast of pepper, nutmeg and alcohol. The latter leaves off quickly and I mostly get pepper and nutmeg receding very gradually, with some woody tones rounding things out.
This is a really good summer scent for the Gulf Coast.

My experience matched Raproid’s. Something about it turned me off the first time I sprayed it. Now I have worn it 4-5 times and I find it much more pleasant. I also agree with his opinion that this improves with age, and that it’s best saved for more moderate weather.
The pepper dominates the opening, but as soon as it settled into my pores and dried on the skin it mellowed out into a nice, smooth sandalwood and creamy-spice blend. The smoky incense is consistent from opening to drydown.
Very good scent for the price. I’d say this is best to use in the transitional weather of Fall and Spring, both casually and formally. The incense notes are more prominent in warm/humid weather, masking some of the terrific spicy and woody notes which I am quite biased towards.

First, nothing is exact, BUT this opens up just like Gucci Rush. That was my signature scent for years.
However, after it settles it is reminiscent of spicebomb. NOT exact but in the same genre.
Sillage is small, but longevity it 7/10.
I sweat a lot. I sprayed this on my hand, and went running for 2 hrs!!!! I could still smell it as a skin scent, but that is similar to Gucci rush behavior on my skin as well.
You like Gucci rush & spicebomb; you will like this. Price…the bomb!!!!
    Done.
8/10 if it projected more, 10/10 but it lasts close to skin very well.

I am wearing this for the first time, longing for my long missed Gucci Rush, and I get the resemblance of it with this Azzaro Visit, but basically at the opening, but does not develop or stay the same, it seems like Gucci Rush comes for a Visit and is in a rush, and only stays for a little while.
Whom ever said this is too much for him, well I don’t see how it can it be, is a very harmless and easy to wear cologne. I may buy it again just to have something to wear that remembers me Gucci Rush, but since this one is also already discontinued, I may just stick up with the rest of my colognes which will last for long time. 😉

For the price, This stuff is great. It’s unique and projects extremely well. It’s definately a top performer for it’s price range. I get nutmeg, spices and some coconut (not listed) in the opening. It mellows down more in the dry and I get hints of incense. It’s a very smooth and mildly sweet fragrance. In my opinion this is not good for the office because it projects so well. The sillage is very impressive. Go easy on the trigger. This is a versatile scent for day or night. I even think a woman could easily pull this off.

Didn’t like it at first at all. Then it seemed okay for home use and occasional casual wearing outside. Now it’s yummy and alluring and homely with 1-2 application on the back of the wrist at home sitting inhaling it from time to time – this nutmeggy incense-like pepper. You just have to let it grow on you and also draw for 2-3 months after you bought it.
My batch is dated oct 2013.

Remember Gucci’s Rush for men? It was a woody fragrance, released in between the fantastic Envy for men and the great Pour Homme I. It’s widely respected, but not as revered as it’s two brothers.
However, like those two, Rush is long gone. However, Azzaro has made a very good take on it.
First off, forget note lists. There is little development here.
It opens with an accord of nutmeg and pepper. Nothing too exciting.
After that it goes into the heart and base, consisting of creamy sandalwood, cedar and incense.
It’s quite futuristic, yet rooted in classic masculine perfumery. It features quite a bit of ISO E Super, and has a very woodsy character.
Visit is quite well made, and has a discreet and understated character. Unlike many of the other modern Azzaro releases, it seems like some thought actually went into it, to make sure it actually had something to offer, instead of being yet another bland fragrance *cough* Decibel for men *cough*.
It’s really quite hard to write much about Visit for men. It’s a simple woodsy fragrance that is very well made. It’s quite unique and can be had for a song online.
Longevity is good – 6-7 hours with decent projection.
    Rating: 5/10

Overall this is a pretty decent scent for the price. The top and mid are good but it falls apart in the base. It goes from a great Fall/Winter fragrance with the woods and nutmeg to a base that is a chemical mess.

** I recently purchased a bottle & it has been reformulated ** Sadly i instantly recognized it as almost the exact same scent but to my nose lacking ooomph !! that made it a powerhouse , i estimate it has lost 50% of its sillage & longevity …. Acqua , & to others who have left recent feedback , i am certain you have the reformulated juice . I am happy that this cheap bottle i purchase as a backup will do fine as a body-splash when i decant it , perhaps i will at some point use it as a base for an A/S … I just am glad i have about 50ml’s of my original juice left … cheers

Just like Dancewithscent I decided to trans from my personal summer frag’s to fall/winter. After organizing my collections I realized that I hadn’t given my thoughts on this juice…
Where I do start, Azzaro has been successfully creating affordable priced fragrance without compromising the quality of the notes.
This juice has a real woodsy-spicy-incense vib. Both red pepper and cardamom adds to the depth of this juice. After this frag settles I enjoy the woodsy notes from cedar with nutmeg adding to the overall spicy blend.
Longevity and Silage is very good lasting at least 6hrs. If you spray it 2x you could stretch it out for couple extra hours.
    Finally,
I wish most common brands would take note that if you let everyone enjoy the fragrance you put out without lowering the quality of the notes, you will have a happy customer. Kudos to Azzaro for putting out a real attractive woodsy/spicy fragrance. Here’s the kicker…it cost less than 20usd. Try to find another fragrance with the same quality for the same price?….NOT. Two thumbs up….8/10.
To Azzaro, if by chance you read this review..I would love to see a intense version adding more to extend the longevity and especially Silage. I would definitely buy a bottle..

I’ve had this juice for a long while. Recently decided to break it out and revisit, Visit! As I remember, this is a pepper and cedar bomb. I get the incense but to my nose the pepper and cedar overpower it until the latter stages where it gets more soapy with the incense. It is super spicy with the pepper and nutmeg and very dry. Not sweet at all. Also this juice is very synthetic in the base, assuming ISO E but it’s very well blended with the other notes. Synthetic or not I really enjoy it. It is a very good spicy woody masculine frag for a song. I need to use more often.
Another thing, the bottle and sprayer are very good. A favorite of mine from Azzaro house.

    Spicy. Very woody.
Someone told me they thought it smelled like beloved le labo santal 33… No. Not at all. To me this is like a raw cut piece of cedar wood with spices sitting on top of it. There is nothing sweet about this scent. nothing. I think that’s what this is lacking but it does get a bit better with time, I do like that…
    Scent 8. I love woods
    Longevity 8
    Projection 8
Over all you should take a look at this if you like woody scents, especially for the price…

Usually the “flankers” are deemed to be inferior fragrances to the original that are taking advantage of a name. This is no the case at all here. I find Azzaro Pour Homme to be a pleasant but only meh…. fragrance. Azzaro Visit however I find delightful, a wonderful very cedar dominant fragrance enhamced with pleasing scents of incence and spice, delightful. I prefer this to Quorum Silver to which it is often compared. Quorum Silver is stronger and has more of an edge to it, while Visit is smoother and more congenial. Smooth and friendly but certianly not a wimpy unisex fragrance. Visit conveys the essense of a confident but very approachable man. Visit is a great, daytime all purpose fragrance that could also be nice for after a late evening shower before bed. Visit is a wonderful match for the marvelous St.James of London Cedarwood and Clary Sage Shaving Cream and aftershave product. However while very pleasing I wouldn’t recommended it for very formal events nor an evening romantic encounter. It should be noted that Visit will provide tremendous longevity, one can easily detect the scent for over 12 hours.

I arrived today and I am impressed .
I do not know if synthetic, I do not care , I just know it smells great and looks like Quorum Silver but more durable, without ginger , better sillage and less fresh.
A gorgeous smell of autumn and winter is warm, comforting and sublime smell of cedar.
It is a masculine scent . A woman smelling this would be grotesque and unpleasant.
    10/10 . The best perfume that I have .

This is by far my best blind buy. There is a resemblance with Rush and Tokyo but lather are weaker but still my kind of juice. This lasts and i mean it, very sexy fragrance taht will linger with you all day. There is definetely sandalwood in it altough it’s not listed. Sandalwood and cedar are the main ingredients. Sandalwood gives it a warm side and cedar that juicy zing that I like in the drydown. Really elegant.
The best thing is that it’s really cheap online considering how good and longlasting it is.

THANK YOU ALL REVIEWERS, HERE AT FRAGRANTICA.
YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS LED ME TO TRY AZZARO VISIT FOR MEN.
I have been looking for sooo long and spent so much time on the internet to find a reasonable replacement for my old favorite GUCCI RUSH or men (that has been discontinued). I finally found a replacement
Azzaro Visit for Men is an amazing scent for a really good price.
Woody, well balanced and with a strong sandalwood + cypress + cedar .
I think it is the scents enhancer “Iso-E super” (that is described as a cedary scent) and that might be the reason for its very good performance.
That is also it’s con – it is the dominant metallic – synthetic long- note that sticks out and last all day
There is something about this scent that some of us love so much.
I THINK IT IS GOOD SCENTS, BUT NOT AS GUCCI RUSH
Almost orders it on eBay, but found it for 45$ at a local store.
    FRAGRANTICA IS A GREAT WEBSITE
p.s: I don’t know why sandalwood is not on the notes list. does anybody sense the sandalwood ?

Opening = Big love (loads of cardamom, incense, pink pepper, cedar).
Dry down = Oh, NO..! massive amount of guaiac wood, nutmeg, ambergris, and pink pepper).
Unfortunately too much wood one hour or so after spraying without something to sweeten or powder these notes.
But hey, incense, wood lovers will definitely love this.
    7/10 scent
    8/10 longevity
    8/10 sillage
    8.5/10 price
    15/10 for bottle design.

Adding to my previous review; this may well be the best incense frag i’ve ever put my nose to.

I like this sharp, warm woodsy scent, which rounds out and smells spicy with a mineral tone later on. It is long-lasting on clothes and lasts moderately on the skin. The sillage is good yet very modest. It is incredibly close to Kenzo Tokyo and at almost half the price, that is the best thing about Visit!

Have had this for awhile . . .time to add my two cents . . .
Gucci Rush meets Encre Noire; what Comme des Garcons’ Dover Street Market should have been.
Brash, masculine, and unapologetic. Smokey cedar that lasts and shines. A sharp opening, warm middle, and smooth finish. A true niche quality fragrance at a drug store price. Not to be over-looked. Highly recommended.

To add…..Don’t get Visit if you don’t like cedar. For me, it has a distinctive cedar note (which is lovely, by the way) Annick Menardo blends some fab juices!

My first blind buy for the year 2015 and first Azzaro fragrance in my collection and boy oh boy am I intrigued and taken by the spicy smokey wood am getting from it on first impression and this is just from a shot to the wrist, not a full wear. This cologne reminds me of Marc Jacobs’ Bang, it really does smell similar to it to be honest especially right into the heart. I love it!!!
UPDATE: This is a must have for any collector its classy, sophisticated, masculine and unique, the cedar/incense perfect blend is astonishing and just clear jaw-dropping… am dumbfounded by this cologne, I can’t believe I ignored it all this while, when it was this good, I guess it was due to the presentation, which to be honest is the only down side of this cologne, it can easily be presented in one of Tom Ford’s Private Blend packaging and cost $200. If you like or love Bang by Marc Jacobs, this is a cheaper alternative with way better performance.

    – Antiphysical woods – ★★★☆☆
Visit is an obscure fragrance. Very different from what I anticipated. Overall it’s a semi-sweet and dry aroma with a strong (and lovely) nutmeg frontrow. What makes Visit interesting to me however is the way it feels in my nose and the way it projects. It has great projection and longevity but the smell itself feels strangely very space-like – it has a lot of room in it if that makes sense..
