I blind bought this today because I love Private Show. But I’m really confused by it. The reviews & notes make it sound like it’d be amazing but what I smelled is not good. It has the deep rich coffee note from Private Show but with some very screechy florals and fruit mixed in. To me it smells like a can of fruit cocktail dumped into a mug of espresso….Which just doesn’t smell right. I have 3 other Britney’s (ordered 2 more today) and blind bought all of them. I love all the ones that I do have but I just don’t like this one. Gonna go return it tomorrow. Guess I’ll go for my fantasy intimate edition next

Yummy! This smells fruity and luxurious. It lives up to it’s name because that’s the word that comes to mind when I wear this “Luxurious”
I wore it to a concert at a casino and I seemed to have a lot of guys leaning in towards me. I have no clue if it was from the perfume or not but I’m assuming it was! This is a definite head-turner scent. It lasts quite a while too and the silage is medium to strong.

Private Show and the VIP flanker could not be more different from each other! The original is warm, rich, and softly spicy. I love it! This flanker was a bit of a letdown for me. I expected it to smell similar to its predecessor with a fruity twist. Instead all I get from this is straight-up bubble gummy fruits with very little development. On the drydown I get just the faintest whiffs of musk. This is just too sweet and linear for my tastes. Having said that, I don’t want to leave the impression that this perfume is awful. It’s not. If you like fruity juicy scents with lots of sugar, you’ll adore this! Sillage is soft but longevity is moderate.

I bought this on clearance. I have the original Private Show which is extremely similar, but it was a great price and it’s a bit more fruity/ summery than Private Show. It’s not an extre!rot complicated scent but it’s pleasant, youth and and lasts a good while. Like a lot of fragranticans, these celebrity fragrances get the most complements while our niche or go rages go unnoticed. That’s ok it just means it’s universally liked. I like Brittney and Jessica Simpson celebrity scents…JLo s are hit or miss. If you like sweet your hands try this it’s super cheap now.

A perfectly inoffensive, fruity scent. The most prominent note by a long way for me is a super synthetic raspberry, but not in a bad way. The first spritz was like a time warp to my late ’80s/early ’90s childhood because it smelled exactly — and I mean *exactly* — like raspberry Bubblicious gum. I was happy to note that this was still the case in the dry-down, as this is an unexpected nostalgic benefit.
I agree with several commenters here that the longevity is better for VIP than for the original Private Show. I also stand with those who detect little in common between the two. Both are nice, and I would definitely classify both as gourmands, with the VIP being a fruity gourmand. It doesn’t smell expensive, but it doesn’t smell cheap, either. It’s a lovely, vibrant, summery fragrance for young and young-at-heart women.

Lively, sweet and energetic. The fruits so sound tropical, but they perform in a more sorbet, frozen way. It’s like the pulp of every fruit mixed together and put into a perfume.
I find VIP Private Show to be quite true to it’s name. This is a clubbing fragrance, but one that is also wearable day to day and to the beach, dinners, school or work. It has such an energetic fun scent that I cannot go past.
I detect zero florals, however. It’s just a fruit cocktail! If you’re looking for beachy and tropical, go for its very similar cousin Sunset Fantasy.

Tested this the other day in a perfume shop. Mainly I don’t like Britney’s perfume line, because they are toooo sweet for me, but this (and Island fantasy) are very good! Can’t wait to have this in my collection! 🙂

Sniffing from the bottle it’s a pleasant smell and reminds me of bath and body works “Thousand Wishes”. But when I sprayed only a few times I got a headache. Then I got annoyed. Then I sold it lol.

Later that day .. Without the distraction of Sunset Fantasy finding VIP deserves some props. To me, this seems pretty generic at first. But it isn’t that simple. These are the notes that other celebs seemed to use to get their own smash hit Fantasy going. Alas, those were all pretty much misses. Nothing is as recognizable as Brit’s Fantasy .. except maybe the legendary White Diamonds by E. Taylor. Here if VIP is copying and generic it is still a triumph. This is what the others, again, tried to do but failed. A smart and playful floral fruity that wins you over because it makes it seem so easy. It’s not ..just look at all the imitators.
Delivery tomorrow but can’t find 3.3 oz? Matter of fact, Kohl’s was really my only option. Same with Sunset Fantasy. 3.3 oz avail. but still not shipping. Is VIP a limited release? Probably good with a 1 oz. anyway. Tried it the same time as Sunset Fantasy and this one hardly registered. Think put it back without even taking my eyes off Sunset. But we were in a rush for a wedding. I know I’ll want it. Would be my least favorite list of notes (except that blood orange and apple are nice) but Britney and Elizabeth Arden seem to always deliver something in this floral fruity/gourmand genre that all the others just can’t. Even seems JLO left Coty. For me, it’s Elizabeth Taylor and Britney Spears and both are Arden. I always want the LARGE size. xoxo

I got this one as a tester and tried it since I was kind of impressed with the previous flacon (Private). Otherwise I’m not generally a fan of Britney Spears perfumes.
It is fruity, safe and boring, a generally pleasant smell. There’s really nothing that smells bad per se with it. While I’d advocate that safe and boring can have a purpose for perfumes, this does not cut it for me.
What makes me dislike it is that it is too sweet and synthetically fruity for me. Somehow it reminds me of the cheap sweet syrup-y fruit liquors we used when mixing drinks when I worked in a student pub. Furthermore, it disappears entirely in around an hour on me.
Of course perfume acts differently on different people, and it seems other people have gotten better longevity than me. Given the scent, I imagine this could be popular among younger teenagers.

I overlooked it at first because I thought it was going to be tacky – the “VIP” thing usually implies nightclubs and hip-hop.
But it’s a lovely bubblegum pink fragrance, perfect for one of my girly/Barbie phases! Some think of Barbie as a bad thing but I still love her. Not tacky Barbie, 80s Barbie through the eyes of a child.
Sillage seems good too.

This smells delicious, a lot like Taj Sunset. I love both private shows, this one has a nice mango note. Only downside is the poor staying power. Why are perfumes getting in general worse with longevity?

vip, I was at kohls looking for a fantasy giftset but they did not have any this year which is odd. So I decided to go to the perfume section and I saw vip and I wanted to try it anyway.Sprayed this one my hand and a rush of fruits, very fruity the apple really shines along with the mango. It belongs in the midnight fantasy family and is one of britney spears fruitier scents. I actually like this one over the original it is a little less synthetic and cloying. The fragrance wore really well and lasted a good while on my hand . It isn’t complex but I don’t think it is meant to be. I want a big bottle of this instead of those little one ounce bottles. I picked up two and it together it was like 60 bucks which is what you would pay for a bigger bottle. I hate how kohls keeps small bottles only ugh

A subtle smell of mango ice-cream!
I don’t really smell the florals in it much at all. I get a more vanilla/gourmand type of fragrance. gives me a similar essence to the original Private Show by Britney but a more tropical take.
I don’t think it is too similar to Brit’s other fragrance at all – not as in-your-face as Fantasy, much more subtle and a little more grown up.
note – not saying Fantasy is bad, in fact, I own it and really love it, but this perfume is just more relaxed and not a huge cupcake cloud.
I’m really getting the musk and woody notes of the burndown and its a really nice elegant touch.
it’s not trying to be sophisticated or expensive, just fun and relaxed. a “let your hair down” scent.
UPDATE: longevity and sillage both extremely poor, I have reapplied 4 times today and I have been indoors doing minimal activity on a mild day. really disappointing.

I believe the reviewer who compared this to Can Can Burlesque because after the drydown Can Can was what I thought of. The initial impression of VIP is very tropical fruity, then it becomes a sweeter version of Private Show, Fantasy, and Can Can. Just a repeat…

I enjoy Private Show so much. VIP Private Show…not so much. I almost dislike it…not that there’s anything really unappealing about it. It’s just not my taste in fragrance. I don’t like to wear apple notes…they just don’t work on me, and there is, for sure, a lot of apple in VIP. I get lots of apple, violet and raspberry, and the blend, to me, doesn’t smell “tropical” in the least; (none of the plants I mentioned grow in the tropics). The bottle is lovely, and the pink liquid looks gorgeous. I wish I liked the fragrance more, because Private Show was such a delightful surprise. I do think this is a terrific fragrance, and I think Britney’s perfumes are generally a cut above other celebrity offerings.

Britney Spears has reverted back to syrupy fruity florals with this latest release, VIP Private Show. I rather enjoyed its subdued, creamy gourmand predecessor Private Show, and I had hoped that this flanker would be a richer version, however it appears that it’s a completely different scent with a stronger focus on the fruit accords.
The most dominant notes to my nose include, mango, blood orange, raspberry and amber. It’s not a bad fragrance by any means, but it is admittedly quite generic. I find it to be somewhat similar to Beyonce’s Heat Rush.
VIP Private Show smells quite tropical on my skin, a playful blend of juicy fruits and syrupy amber. It’s thankfully not overly sweet, and not nearly as predictable as her previous gourmand releases.
This fragrance has been incredibly well-received since its release and I do hope that word spreads. VIP Private Show would make a lovely Spring and Summer scent and has impressive longevity in addition to a moderate throw. Although fruity florals don’t tend to agree with me, I can appreciate this fragrance for being quite well done.

Sweet fruity floral nothing I haven’t smelled before but nice simple casual wear day wear fragrance. Love the bottle and the pink packaging/theme. The scent is feminine and delicious. Opens with fruity notes of mango orange and raspberry. Tart and sweet a tad sour a bit like pomegranate but not overpowering. Smells like a nice clean fruity shampoo when you first spray it.
The linear scent evolves quickly into a little floral heart with orange blossom, violet and magnolia. I can smell a lemony waxy magnolia and the violet. Usually I dont like too much violet but this is soft and very easy to wear as a floral. This is also quite innocent and easy to wear if you’re a girl in junior high or high school. Matches with T shirts tops mini dresses. Very girly and though not sexy or provocative it’s charming and attention grabbing.
Dry down is amber on me lots of warm amber and just a little clean musk. A dry down of skin scent that blends well with clean fresh off the shower skin. Longevity isn’t the best (just about 3 to 4 hours at most on me) and the projection is soft and can be detected only by the nearest person next to you. Smells clean sweet girly fresh fruity delicious.

Love this, but does anyone else think this smells like Paris Hiltons’s Can Can Burlesque? Smelled the tester at my local perfume shop while out today and thought it smelled like something I owned but couldn’t place it. Got home smelled through my collection and to me it’s a dead ringer for Can Can Burlesque. Will still be buying because I love Britney Spears perfume and it might smell different on my skin.

I like this one, however I don’t smell any resemblance to the original private show, it’s much closer to fantasy in bloom. I mainly get the blood orange, raspberry and amber. This doesn’t come out too floral with my chemistry, which I’m fine with.
Overall, this is a nice summer scent for sure, but so far I prefer the original.

This is really well done. On me its blood orange and amber. Its different from any of the other sweet perfumes I own. I can smell a little something in the background that reminds me of the original Private Show. I really liked the scent of Private Show but cant rebuy because of the longevity and sillage sucked. On VIP the longevity and sillage are great and what it should have been on the original. I think this is my 2nd favorite Britney scent, naughty remix being number 1, but this one is a very close 2nd.

Well, I have this sprayed on one wrist, and the original on the other wrist. Both 3 spritzes. To my surprise, the original Private Show is lasting longer. Just found that kind of interesting…
Anyhow, this is just a fun, carefree scent. Great for vacation or a relaxing day doing something fun. Definitely fruity and sweet, but not cloying. The sweetness is not obnoxious. Fairly soft, nothing screeching. Definitely can see a young girl wearing this, or any woman who wants to smell light, fruity and sweet, and looking for a “fun” fragrance. I smell this and I see the beach, or a day at the amusement park, or at the fair, or a day cruising around checking out the boys. Or just lounging at home, or chilling out with friends, or going to the movies during the day. One of the better celeb scents, not too overly sweet nor manufactured nor chemical smelling. Nicely done. Youthful feeling, for sure! And the bottle is pretty. 🙂

This is a very on trend fragrance and completely different than the original. This is all the familiar element of Tresor La Nuit, Black Opium and Viva La Juicy wrapped up into one. I’m surprised there’s no currant listed because I swear it’s there. Also, Holy Cow, the silage is atomic! I sprayed one light spray on the back of my hand and felt like I was being chased around by a giant cloud of this scent all day! It’s super fruity but not too childish and the drydown is soft and pretty, slightly powdery Amber and I smell mango clearly in the base. I have way too many fragrances like this to buy it, but if someone gave me a bottle I’d wear it from time to time.

VIP Private Show is definitely one of my favourites from Britney’s range!
It is a beautiful fruity/floral with candy sweetness. I can really detect the raspberry, mango & apple then the violet & magnolia come through. The amber gives it some warmth & the musk is soft & powdery.
Very different from Private Show, which was creamy coffee & caramel. This one is sweet but not over the top. The notes blend beautifully together.
Lasts around 7-8 hours on my skin & has excellent silage.
Like a delicious & sweet fruity candy. Very girly & flirty.
Overall, I absolutely adore this perfume. I’m so impressed with every fragrance Britney has released. Perfect scent for chill days, lunch dates & going shopping. I highly recommend to fans of sweet perfumes or have enjoyed Britney’s previous range! I absolutely will be purchasing a 100ml bottle.

At first, this smelled really fruity. Then the dry down left me with a fragrance almost identical to Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door. Not my favorite. Gave me a headache. I know everyone’s chemistry is different, but if you plan on purchasing this and you don’t care for Red Door, you might want to test this first to make sure you don’t end up with what I ended up with.

First off, this and the original Private Show are completely different to one another. PS was a coffee cake drenched in clementines, whereas VIP PS is a tropical drink/cocktail.
VIP Private Show is as lovely as its predecessor, when Britney does a tropical fragrance, she does a awesome one! While I pick out the raspberry and red apple, it’s that mango that really stands out and has been given a starring role in this perfume. Later on, I smell a violet and some magnolia, so it does have floral tones to it.

This is summer in a bottle!
Warm mango, delicious red apple and soft musk make this a truly delicious perfume. It’s a wrist-sniffer for sure. It’s like a tropical cocktail. I’ve let this sit, and I get vanilla after a couple hours… It isn’t listed in the notes, but it’s definitely a warming scent.
I think I have a new favourite Britney scent!

This is really pretty. A polished,fruitier, and much better version of Private Show’s vanilla fluffiness, and thankfully without the graham cracker and fabric softener that the original Private Show had. To me, it is nothing like Viva La Juicy which is all honeysuckle, orange and caramel on me.

Perfect spin on “Private Show”, and a total unique fragrance for her gallery. VIP is nothing like the original other than a hint of a woodsy-musk tone that can translate as a sweet cocoa smell due to the over powering sweet fruits. This is a blast of apple, peach, pear, and berries. With that woodsey base holding it together to almost give a gourmound taste and scent. The bottle is cute, with the glittery top, and keeping up the hexagon-diamond shape bottle I love. I feel this will smother you a bit if you live in a climate with humidity but it will have large area siliage. Expect compliments. Wears heavy on my skin, not yet sure about clothing fabric. Next to her last release “In Bloom Fantasy” this is a 10/10 just like that was. Honestly unique, stand out, and 100% different then “Private Show”

One of my Britney’s favourite. This feminine,sweet and sentual scent is amazing. Mango,magnolia and amber together gives that magical feel of Well being. The after tone is more powdery. Personally I will give that fragrance 5/5.

Vip private show is like a burst of fruits to me at the start then after few hours it turns powedery musky(still sniffing..cant stop),honestly i like it better than the original private show because not a fan of coffee.

This is really good, it’s a nice sweet, the amber is great in this, some of the best amber I have ever smelled, very golden, and velvet, it’s just perfect. For some reason the way the amber, and other notes mix reminds me of honey. I see this as a day, and night perfume, easily a signature perfume all year long. This is still for a younger crowd. I wish she would make another perfume like Believe again.

This is hands down my favorite Britney Spears perfume to date! It’s so sweet but in a fresh fruit kind of sweet not an overly sugary sweet. This is nothing like any of her other fragrances but definitely fits in her wardrobe. Part of me wants to compare this to a cotton candy body mist but it’s not the same because it’s not sugary sweet. The notes blend so well and complement each other amazingly. This very quickly became my favorite Britney as well has the ability to crack not only my top 10 but probably top 5.
