Blumarine VINTAGE edt (which, according to the box, is a Schiapparelli Pikenz creation) is vaguely redolent of Moschino CHEAP & CHIC, except that here there is an initial burst of lemon.
The unmistakeable “Moschino solvent” is appearing more and more in Italian perfumes, I am finding in my testing travels. This is not aldehydic, nor is it anything like Creed water. It is something else, which I am at a loss for words to describe. So I rely on the unhelpful comparison “smells like CHEAP & CHIC”…
Anyway, BLUMARINE has a musky-floral drydown, mainly roses and jasmine, to my nose. I do not detect peony at all. This composition is just okay, nothing revolutionary, nor very vintage, IMNSHO.

I got this as a gift..i absolutely hate it… very harsh and invasive smell..it is vintage smelling but in the “i am so glad thay don’t make perfume like they use to” kind of way…i wouldn’t even use this as an air freshener…a nostril flaring rose scent that smells like what i can only describe as heavy antique rose flavored cough medicine.

This one starts out smelling like lemon zest. It does settle down after a little while and the middle notes kick in, but I still get a bit of that lemon zest smell. It does warm up to a warm lemon floral scent when the base notes kick in.
So it’s safe to say the lemon isn’t going to completely go away. It could be how it reacts on me though. It’s not a strong in your face perfume, but people will notice you have it on. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either.
