As with Bourbon French’s Patchouli, their Vetivert is very simple and pure. It smells like an actual bundle of vetiver, no more nor less, which was used in wardrobes back in the day in old Louisiana. It is also grown there – it is a grass. I believe southeast Asia is where vetiver is mostly grown, and it is woven into mats and can be dampened to cool and scent the area. If I recall correctly. Anyway, this Vetivert edc makes me think of old New Orleans, and people using Vetiver in their wardrobes. Natural vetiver, as this is, has a sweet hay-like scent, and it has an impression of saltiness, too, which some niche perfumeries in recent years have emphasized in their vetiver creations. This edc is long lasting but I think it’s a peekaboo now you smell it now you don’t type of scent once it has dried down on your skin. It would probably smell great on clothes. It does, actually, as I recall. Also, as with their patchouli edc, this is a bit rough, by which I mean not refined with other blended ingredients. It is what it is, and if you love natural dried vetiver bundles then you will surely love this. It’s lovely in warm climates

Vetivert was mentioned as a sillage & longevity beast by John Biebel in the Fragrantica article “Best in Show: Longevity & Sillage in Men’s Fragrances (2017)”
Here’s a quote: “this is, without question, one of the strongest perfumes ever created.”
I have to agree with the review previous to mine. Very disappointed. Not long lasting, and no sillage….

Very disappointed with this fragrance. The review is really inacurate: Not long lasting ,not sillage.
Never ever will buy another product based on those reviews. Vetivert Bourbon French is a fiasco. Remind me of those chip cologne that sell in exotic tax free ports. The sample is always good, but when you try it at home you realize that you have being reap off. The price was really tempting for a Vetivert lover as myself. I repeat: Never ever again !
