Definitely the litchi scent is there from the first sniff. Pleasant, “mild”, “safe” and lightly sweet fruity fragrance for any occasion, nothing jumps out that screams “WOW” or is head-turned. For a discontinued perfume that was launched in 2007, its quality is actually very impressive. The scent still stays fresh and keeps developing, getting better and better on my skin.
I just recently bought a bottle from eBay (blind buy, brand new bottle for under $40) and was nervous about it. I got it yesterday in the mail, and it turned out great, more than I expected it to be.

To Whom It May Concern:
The CORRECT image for the VS “Very Sexy Now 2007” is actually the bottle with the color combination of bright Yellow, Orange and deep Pink (like tropical Coral colors), NOT this “Gold Zebra stripes”. The “Gold stripes” one is actually the original 2006 version of Very Sexy Now.
2006 version has pineapple scent in it. And 2007 has litchi scent.

cait is right. 🙂 The image above must be one the styles of the 2006 edition bottles. I believe the 2006 fragrance was produced in two different style of bottles — the other is on the Very Sexy Now 2006 page. That’s what I’ve assumed from searches, anyway.
I recently bought the real 2007 edition bottle, the bright orange/yellow/pink ombre one. I thought I’d give my 2 cents here, in case anyone’s interested.
Very Sexy Now 2007 is a very clean floral fragrance. It doesn’t have one bit of sweetness. Right after spraying, I thought it smelled very close to Avon Haiku. At first, the similarities are striking. Both have that fresh, clean, green, slightly sporty effect. I think there is lily, maybe some peony. After about half an hour, though, it veered away from Haiku, and started to fade away altogether. It is a fairly linear scent, but on my skin, it became a little odd towards the end.
Although it wasn’t a bad scent, I decided pretty quickly that I did not care for it enough to keep it. It was one of those generic fragrances that I guess just didn’t mesh well with my chemistry. I’ve stated in previous reviews that I don’t actually mind if something is generic — as long as I like it. So away it went to somebody that appreciated it. 🙂

Perhaps I’m wrong, and it came in a few different bottle styles, but the image for this fragrance is actually the image for Very Sexy Now 2006.I actually ordered what I thought was the 07 edition on Ebay only to do some research and find that I had purchased the 06 edition. The 07 edition is in a vibrant orange and yellow bottle of the same shape as the 06 edition pictured. Anywho, something to think about if, like me, you enjoy searching out retired fragrances for purchase!

I picked up a large body spray of this fragrance when it came out. Five years later I’m still trying to get through the large bottle. It’s nice and fruity, casual and cute, strong and SWEET. If I could highlight, underline, italicize and make bold the word ‘sweet’ I would. Did I mention it’s sweet? It’s cavity-inducing sweetness. But like any sugary confection it can be a welcomed treat once in a while.
I’ve tried a few fragrances claiming to have litchi in them but I’d be hard-pressed to find the litchi. Here, the litchi jelly scent hits my nose immediately, followed by a hard candy-like pear, and finished off with a subdued orchid. There are a few other elements but they’re superfluous. Specifically, this is not just any kind of sugary confection; this is a litchi-and-pear cluster of mini jelly cups, the ones that are so prevalent in Asian markets. VSN07 is a pretty fabulous fragrance to have if those little cups are a guilty pleasure and litchi is a must.
I like those little fruit jelly cups. I even indulge and enjoy a few every once in a while. However, I don’t think I could eat them every day. Just like the little cups, I don’t think I could wear VSN07 every day but I am glad I have it so I can treat myself occasionally.

This used to be my favorite perfume and I dropped it on the tile floor on vacation in spain. It was a very sad moment, however the room smelled great after! The perfume has a beautiful scent that is similar to “Dream Heavenly”.
