reminds me xerjoff nio . very green openning with galbanum and bergamot. greenest amber ever. starts with green grass feeling. then soap develops leaves with sweet amber.

Nishane Ambra calabria is a pretty good sweet citrus amber frag. Starts with a very green, bright citrus note from the Bergamot and galbanum. The Bergamot here is really very good, reminds me of Xerjoff in fact. These green citrus notes are presently joined by a slight floral note from the Jasmine, not really pronounced, you kinda have to go hunting for it. By then the other main player in the frag, the Amber note walks in accompanied by vanilla. They all exchange handshakes and stick around turning the frag in summary into a green citrus and sweet Amber.
Projection with Ambra Calabria is on the milder side and longevity is also about 4-5 hours. I like this frag. the only reason I dont unequivocally recommend it is because apart from the green notes, it is very similar to van Cleef n Arpels Ambre Imperial and the VnA has far better performance at a lower price range. I happen to have a Ambre Imperial decant so this Nishane is redundant for me. If price and somewhat average performance is not a deal breaker and going just by the smell alone, get this as it smells really great.

greenest and most refreshing amber scent, I have tried so far. Find it interestingly unusual but also familiar somehow at the same time. Have not smelled 1000 of perfumes, yet but this is also not a scent I smell on the streets so often.
Long-lasting citrusy scent, although the green, citrus opening disappears after 1h on my skin. Then it is just a very wearable amber – vanilla scent. Delightful!
Sillage is also good, not too much , so I can still wear it to the office. This is a perfect special office scent. Brightens every stressful day
    * Update: I don’t know why but I tried this scent again today and my arm kind of had a urine-ish note…I cannot explain where this comes from as I had freshly showered..strange.

Smells much like L’Ambre des Merveilles

Even though I really love the accord between citrus and amber in this one, I felt it was bitter and masculine because of the bergamot and green notes.
I would say it’s an amber for spring and summer, because of the bergamot, but it’s not refreshing, nor warm… I pass.

Nishane Ambra Calabria is a light, fresh, fruity, green amber that isn’t that deep or interesting to my nose. Certainly a departure from a resinous, gourmand-like amber, one might expect something akin to Tom Ford Rive D’Ambre but Ambra Calabria is surely a bit heavier-handed with some of the spicy and herbal elements and is not so purely fresh and warm-weather-leaning as Rive D’Ambre, for one.
Rather, Ambra Calabria starts out fresh and green with bergamot and “green notes” and then hits a more interesting spicy/floral stop with galbanum and coriander, before landing on a base of musk, vanilla, and ambergris. It certainly sounds like it could be interesting, but it comes off rather stale on my skin.
Not a bad performer but nothing special. Not a fragrance I’ll be pursuing further but I’m sure it works well for some.

This house produces high quality fragrances and ambra calabria is not an exception. It has a very nice opening with bergamot and other citruses. I wish this opening would last longer. In an hour a sweet amber surfaces. I would swear there is honey in the notes but it isn’t listed. Galbanum, vanilla and amber stays together in the drydown. The longevity is about 6-8 hours with a moderate sillage.

this perfume has a nice and bitter opening with galbanum. later on, citruses (especially orange) come forward. at this point the fragrance resembles Eau des Merveilles a lot as both being citrus-amber duos. nice perfume but I expect something original at this price point. longetivity and sillage are good for a citrus fragrance but not extraordinarily remarkable.

I think this is a very delicate and well crafted creation by Nishane. It has something that I really love which is the effect created by combining the warmth of the ambar and the freshness of the bergamot; they have managed to make this surprisingly lasting (at least on my girlfriend’s skin) and for me is a pleasure to feel this warm/fresh combination each time I approach to her.

The galbanum and the bergamot make a striking first impression before the vanilla-inflected amber comes into play, and the galbanum stays through to the end. A good fragrance. Projection is moderate, but longevity could be better.

Excellent blend of Orange, citrus and amber. Very long lasting for a citrus fragrance. I like this one a lot!
