I lOVE this perfume.
A vintage inspired green floral chypre with a woodsy base.
Its earthy deep green,deep,
nostalgic,natural,happy,uplifting.
I get compliments when I where and people say it reminds them of something good from their childhood.
Its opens better in the summer I first tryed it in winter and a minty note came up ,I didnt get it then.
Its a gorgeouse chypre in the lines of Deneuve ,maybe Fidji -so they say.
One of my top perfumes a timeless creation..
My whish is that it would last longer
and that DSH could ship to where I live.

Sadly, I think my nose is just too sensitive to powder. Once again, the powdery violet leaves are just overpowering to me. I did like the initial startup of galbanum, but that did not last long at all. To me this is much more reminiscent of vintage Ma Griffe or Chamade than vintage Vent Vert, which was what I was seeking. The only thing that’s like vintage Vent Vert is…. vintage Vent Vert. It was so unique and can never be replicated, but perhaps one days something closer to it might emerge. This perfume is not it, even though it’s a nice effort at a vintage green scent.

Delighted to see Vert Pour Madame in the database! It’s one of my favorites, a great interpretation of the green chypre genre, which in Hurwitz’s own words on her blog, has “an echo of Deneuve.”
If you lament both the loss of Deneuve and IFRA’s neutering of most chypres with its restrictions on the usage of oakmoss, you will rejoice over this fragrance. It has all the opulence, elegance and sophistication to be found in the pre-IFRA chypres. As a niche perfumer, Dawn uses real oakmoss as she sees fit, and you will smell it in Vert Pour Madame.
