Description

Salvatore Ferragamo launches new exclusive collection of perfumes named Tuscan Soul Quintessential Collection (by the original Tuscan Soul fragrance that came out in 2008). The perfumes premiered on Apuan Alps where Michelangelo used to obtained marble for his famous works. The collection symbolizes richness and beauty of Tuscany and the meaning of “Made in Ilaty” quality. There are four fragrances: Bianco di Carrara, Vendemmia, Viola Essenziale and Convivio.

“Tuscany, with its beauties and traditions, has always been a source of creativity and vision for Salvatore Ferragamo. The place where his dreams became true. This great Tuscan Eden inspired the creation of a luxury perfume anthology. A Fragrance Collection with a creative and selective olfactive proposal…Tuscan Soul Quintessential Collection is a fascinating journey within the beauties and traditions of the Tuscan Land.”

Vendemmia is the scent of the traditional grape harvest. Warm, intense and authentic, it belongs to the group of floral – woody perfumes. Mediterranean fruit like cedrat and vineyard peach are at the top. Fig leaf and jasmine are layered in the heart, laid on the sensual base of sandalwood and tonka bean. The nose is Fabrice Pellegrin.

The fragrances are available as 75 ml Eau de Toilette at the price of 130 Euros.

Vendemmia (2013) was launched in 2013.

Wonderful fig fragrance. The name Vendemmia comes from the grape harvest event in Italy, which makes you wonder why there isn’t a grape element in this fragrance. But the fig leaf and citron smells very good…a nice blend that indeed strikes the semblance of being in a vineyard.

I found this to be one of the more interesting Tuscan Soul creations, probably the one I would wear if I were to get a bottle. However, the lasting power is weak (it is EDT), but it is a nice woody sandalwood with tonka bean.

Just tried this one at Saks Fifth Avenue and the gentleman helping me said that this line was exclusive to them. Not sure if that’s the case but I thought I would point it out…
It opens with a strong, nice citrus, I suppose citron to be specific, along with a slightness of peach, but tragedy strikes in the dry down as the fig/sandlewood strikes and that combo does not do it for me.
I’m left with a sprayed in sample but I’m not intrested.
