This was a blind buy for me. I just received it 2 days ago, and I’m not sure yet if I regret it or not. When I first spray it on, the most overpowering scent I get is butterscotch/ butter rum. So much so that I wondered if maybe Demeter, who also have a scent called “Butterscotch” in their fragrance library, had put the wrong scent in the bottle. There’s also a whiff of burnt rubber that comes in a few seconds later. The overall initial scent is heavily sweet, synthetic and unpleasant.
However, the scent eventually dries down to a very light, sweet vanilla, which is pleasant but generic. I’m going to give it a couple more days, but my initial impression of this scent is that it’s better suited to a candle or a room spray than a perfume. In fact, it sort of reminds me of the “Vanilla Buttercream” Yankee Candle.
EDIT: I’ve been trying this scent out for about a week now, and it’s really grown on me. The initial cloyingly sweet synthetic butterscotch/butter rum scent hangs around for about 10 minutes before fading down to a really nice, light, creamy vanilla that lasts all day without being overpowering. Added bonus–it works as both a perfume AND a room spray! Hooray for versatility!

This was one of my first Demeter fragrances that I blind bought recently. Oddly, the box and bottle smell like a strong floral perfume! And it isn’t just one bottle, I smelled it on two separate ones, because I had to get a replacement of it and both orders are the same. I thought another perfume may have spilled on it at the warehouse? I don’t know, because the fragrance itself doesn’t smell floral at all! To me, it smells exactly like cookies! It’s like raw cookie dough but also a little like baked cookies. It is sweet and salty at the same time, just like cookie dough. It has a slight dry quality about it. That part reminds me of baked cookies. The saltiness can get a little annoying, so I’m thinking of mixing it with some Vanilla Cake Batter to sweeten it more. I tried the two mixed on paper and it smells good. Not sure yet about wearing it. The cake batter has an alcohol smell, but the cookie dough doesn’t. I think it is very realistic! I can’t speak about the longevity yet since I haven’t sprayed it on my skin. But I’m going to try it soon.
