    A wonderful, good quality vanilla!
I came close to buying Indult Tihota–the holy grail of vanillas–but I chose this one because I thought it had more complexity, where as Tihota is pure, straight-up vanilla. (not a bad thing!) This opens citrusy on me and then morphs into a vanilla-amber nirvana. It isn’t too sweet.
It lasts a long time. You can keep it a skin scent or make increase the sillage simply by spraying more of it. It’s a great scent for layering with nearly anything!
Love, love, love! So happy I discovered this scent!

Ooooh! Nice and soft vanilla. Not airy, but certainly dainty, classically feminine and, well, lovely. The amber does add some depth, but Vaniglia del Madagascar is, unsurprisingly, all about the vanilla. I wouldn’t be able to pick out any florals or lemon if I didn’t know the notes beforehand. I keep getting a whiff of something woody, though there’s no mention of that above. Sweetness levels? They got it juuuust right…
I find it has excellent longevity, but very weak sillage. I will say this: Vaniglia del Madagascar grows and develops as the hours pass; fluffy vanilla sugar asserts itself, grows up and transforms into… darker vanilla sugar. Probably the amber in action. Were I to find a bottle at a sale or if I were given one as a gift, I wouldn’t say “no thanks”. I’d probably use it a fair amount and undoubtedly enjoy it, but I don’t feel a burning need to own this. Performance-wise, it is too lacking.
Tihota is sweeter (though it’s a very different sweetness), fuzzier, warmer, smells more like newly baked goods and performs infinitely better.
The wonderful but frustratingly weak Orchidée Vanille by Van Cleef & Arpels actually has WORSE performance than Vaniglia del Madagascar.

Not Farmacia’s best creation in my opinion. A little bit boring. Vanilla like many other vanilla’s.

Lots and lots of soft, delicious vanilla extract with a punch of lemon zip. There’s a very slight floral component far in the background and a touch of amber to go with. Mostly it’s a smooth vanilla and lemon scent. Warm and cuddly yet has a little zing to it that’s slightly fresh. It lasted a very long time on my wrist, around 8/9hrs, low sillage.

Delicious, the lemon keeps it from ever getting cloying despite the large amount of straight vanilla. I just wish it were stronger, I get very sick and tired of high priced perfumes you can’t smell. I don’t know if the body lotion would help or not.

A good alternative of indult tihota if that one is too expensive. The shower gel and body lotion sounds intriguing.

It ‘a very delicate and delicate fragrance, a delicious vanilla with a background of lemon and flowers, warms the heart and the spirit. I also tried other fragrances of this line and I’m really surprised by the quality and complexity of their perfumes. The sillage here is light but the longevity is good! Overall I like it a lot, a scent for those who want to feel comfortable and be in a good mood! 🙂

Vaniglia del Madagascar is a gorgeous ambery vanilla. I have eau Duelle in my wardrobe, but it is much more spicy, whereas Vaniglia seems a more straightforward vanilla. VdM is a must try for vanilla lovers. Sweet and beautiful, this will be the next vanilla addition to my fragrance wardrobe.

This perfume is a very sweet, almost marshmallow vanilla on me. For whatever reason, I can’t detect any other notes on my skin. It’s pleasant enough, but there are many less expensive vanillas out there.

Sweet, cupcake vanilla with a bit of lemon. I really like this but it doesn’t really last and I can’t justify having too many straightforward vanillas so I’d rather save up my money and get Indult Tihota.

A yummy vanilla that starts out with a little lemon-cream puff, and which quickly goes to a cacao/chocolate puff vanilla. Not sickly sweet. Just like good vanilla extract, but with a little something more.
It’s easy, it’s sublime, it’s perfect, and it can even be smelled the next morning after putting it on at bedtime. I can’t wait to get a FB and see what happens when I can give it a good spray or two or three.
My review is based on a very happily used and quickly drained 1ml sample. It was one out of 4 vanilla samples that I enjoyed.

My HG vanilla, I think. Well-made, with hints of lemon and “floral notes” (the notes list doesn’t get any more specific than this for good reason – the note is like standing downwind from an alpine wildflower patch, very delicate). Salty, ambery, almost marine notes as the scent progresses, drying down to a rather warm vanilla-amber.
I primarily use vanilla fragrances for layering. I like all the notes, they’re represented elsewhere in my collection, so this is ideal for me. Low sillage and projection, moderate-to-high longevity.

A pretty, clean sparkly vanilla with no booze.

In lieu of getting your sample you could pop a vanilla Tootsie Roll in your mouth. If you think you’d like to smell like that (because they nailed vanilla Tootsie Roll here) go buy your bottle. I’m enjoying the sample but that’s where it ends for me. Would make a nice gift for a teen girl.

This is a light version of Phaedon Tabac Rouge. I wasn’t expecting it, but there it is. Very nice and muted. Trouble is that for me, it’s so light that I have to stuff my nose into my skin to detect it at all.

Beautiful vanilla. Accented by the listed notes. Defintately a skin scent when you just want to smell good at close range.

This has amazing reviews on luckyscent, and once again, I am at a loss as to why. It smells like the Bonne Belle vanilla lipsglosses of my childhood. Cheap, light, sugary, and did I say cheap? Yes, it does smell good, just as good as cheap vanilla lip gloss does, but I’d never pay more than $5 for this. There is zero sillage, not much originality, and it hardly lasts. No one will even be able to smell this on you, I have to jam my wrist up to my nose to even detect it. I mean, most lotions even have more sillage. I can think of countless better vanilla perfumes available on luckyscent alone (Tihota, VC&A Orchidee, Jalaine, Hermes, Tom Ford, the list goes on…). Big fat pass.

A Candyfloss / Cotton candy Vanilla with added caramel.

The vanilla is subtle here but quite elegant. I noticed the powdery floral notes far before anything vanilla or amber came up. It isn’t strong but it still lasts for ages which is a pretty rare combination, I think. Quite lovely but perhaps a bit too elegant for me. 😉

The best vanilla elaborate alongside Guerlain SDV, of course, in my opinion.
We can summarize as a pure extract, sweet, comfortable, cheerful, tasty and creamy vanilla and legitimate, is from Madagascar.
In drying appears an intriguing floral accord with lemon around it, subtle and precise, looks like it has a presence also of neroli, but very discreet.
Very well done and the balance due precisely to the vanilla stand out, and here comfort and adds a unique flavor, acquiring a feature almost lemon mousse, a kind of pie as well.
A must for those who love vanilla like me.
    Rating: 10/10

I was recommended Farmacia SS. Annunziata Vaniglia del Madagascar as a Vanilla lover and was so excited to get my sample from Luckyscent but when I did I can barely smell it. I actually had to apply very heavily, almost pouring half the sample on my wrist, before I get something. I get an alcoholic lemon burst for a few seconds but after that only the tiniest trail of a creamy vanilla with some floral notes. I feel like I’m getting this nice, dry and warm amber from it but I’m searching.
After an hour I can’t smell anything at all. EDIT: After a couple of hours I get whispers of it coming back but it’s still barely there. I think I’d like this if it was MUCH stronger – it’s just so watered down to me. Maybe it’s my body chemistry or I got a bad sample because no-one else seems to be pointing this out. 🙁

Nice, very unisex. a cozy, comfort scent due to the amber which plays a bigger factor than the vanilla. A simple frag with not much complexity but it’s not needed. It’s a cool summer day here and I have been enjoy this scent for about 5 hours. It reminds me of Ambre 114 due to it’s softness and quality. Sillage is above average and as most vanilla/amber scents longevity is as well. It’s a great scent for men and women.

Top notes: very reminiscent of some awful beer that my father used to drink in his drinking days.
Middle and drydown: A sweet non-descript scent.
Sillage and longevity: Sillage is soft to moderate (could be smelled from arm’s length if you dabbed on a little of it on your wrist), longevity is around 8 to 10 hours, which is probably not so good for a perfume concentrate (parfum?).
Overall verdict: Not the best vanilla fragrance I’ve experienced, but it’s definitely nice and might smell great on others.

This is ‘the best’ vanilla fragrance I have come across so far. It smells so natural
It is not the typical, and sometimes rather cloying sweet vanilla note found in so many fragrances. This is the real deal.
I have a crushed vanilla pod in one hand and this on the other wrist. They are so close.
As well as the creamy vanilla sweetness, in this there is also a subtle incense/wood/almost herbal quality as well.
It’s really wonderful and very wearable. Unisex and it lasts and lasts.
Definitely worth a try if you like vanilla

Pure vanilla, the quality is wonderful, it lasts for many hours and it’s also very natural.
It is creamy like dulce de leche, soft, transparent. Reminds me of Eau Duelle without the resiny touch, with a milky tone instead.
It is very alluring and if you are looking for a simple, inoffensive vanilla scent of great quality, this one probably is the best.
However, if you already have either Eau Duelle or Un Bois Vanille (which is more complex and not as unobtrusive), or both, you really have to be a hardcore vanilla lover in order to get this one, too. But oh, with the softness and refinement it possesses, it’s very tempting 🙂

Not like Dulcis in Fundo…. Farmacia Vaniglia is nice vanilla, but to me drier and almost woody (that must be the amber because it’s definitely not lemon or floral). Dulcis in Fundo is the world’s most expensive $260 orange creamsicle–don’t get me wrong, it’s worth every penny–but Dulcis is voluptuously sweet, creamy, and rounded, where as this one is more like vanilla in a barrel. I’m surprised to see so many people say this is creamy–I don’t get that at all.

Does anyone know if this one is similar to Dulcis in Fundo by Profumum?

Wow this one is really interesting, not the run of the mill linear vanilla. The lemon is quite apparent and remains throughout. I get the amber too and it works, making it a little sultry. It’s sweet, creamy, warm and powdery in a nice comforting way. Not musky at all which I love.
A lovely and unique vanilla fragrance. Enormous lasting power on my skin.
    Definitely a favourite!!

This is in my top 3 favorite vanillas. Vaniglia del Madagascar is just plain and lovely vanilla.
No other notes. Not edible or desserty. Not candle-esque. Not gross and plasticky. It is an elusively perfect, simple, creamy and dreamy vanilla.

It did not work for me. The vanilla in this perfume is hidden behind powder and a “mossy” note. I will not wash it off, but I will not use again.

This is the ultimate vanilla scent! Not powdery,or too candy like, just creamy with a hint of citrus. Not really
picking up the floral note, but the amber blends dreamily. The perfume concentration lasts and lasts, but
is not overpowering! Also great for blending with a
citrus scent, for a more summer feel.I have received so
many compliments when I wear this.I have tried many
vanilla scents, this is my favorite so far.Transports
the wearer to a true feel-good state!

Loved this crispy, crusty, almost toasted vanilla.
    Very enticing.
Extremely memorable journey which I travel every month or two.
    Indelible.

After testing this a few times and being unsure, I read some glowing reviews that convinced me to buy it. Sometimes this works out, in the case of tihota I did not initially like it, but the reviews tempted me to buy it and I did not really experience it until I had purchased my bottle and fell head over heels. That was not my experience with Vaniglia del Madagascar. When I sprayed it all I could really smell was a wet cig with some watery vanilla under it. I keep trying it and am very disappointed. If anyone would like to trade this fragrance for something I like I would gladly do it. It smelled better in the sample, oddly enough- i know because I tested the real fume against the sample and it smelled better. Chemistry? Tobacco isnt a listed note and many love this vanilla, so i suspect chemistry is the culprit on this one. Still love Cara though.
