Description
Valentino and Puig are launching a new fragrance for men for the house of Valentino, and it has been promoted recently in sunny Venice. The idea was to create a fragrance that would be a classic of the future, aiming at men who strive for classics and like casual style. They select top quality for themselves – as announced by the brand. Valentino Uomo is closely connected with fashion collection Valentino, so Rome was an excellent choice for advertising campaign of the new perfume.
Perfumer Olivier Polge has signed the new creation for Valentino and created it with a traditional pyramidal concept (top, heart, base), where woody notes in the base are particularly highlighted in this edition. The composition opens with bergamot and myrtle, succeeded in the heart by roasted coffee combined with gianduja cream, on a rich base created of cedar and precious leather.
Valentino Uomo arrives on the market in the beginning of 2014. Advertising face of Valentino Uomo is French actor Louis Garrelm, video advertisement is directed by Johan Renck, while photos were taken by David Sims.
yen998Unlogrere – :
I get the DH/DHI vibe, (stronger at the beginning) then there are some notes that come into play reminding me a little of Rochas Man, or if there was a Rochas Man Eau flanker (maybe there is!). However that Dior ‘old lady’s handbag’ vibe which I find off-putting is still there, but not as prominent as in the Intense flanker to this one, making this one far more wearable to me.
I’m surprised Iris is not listed as a note, perhaps it’s the myrtle? As with the Dior line this is a pass for me, I thought I’d love it looking at the listed notes.
EDIT: For me this improves with time, I find the late dry-down rather nice, strange but it’s as if a hint of the citrus returns later on, quite an interesting and non-linear scent, my initial impression has changed somewhat. Low sillage/projection but very good longevity on my skin.
Sergei_76 – :
Although I hate Gourmand, I make an exception for this. To the sweetness (not so invasive) is added a freshness dictated by bergamot and myrtle.
Despite everything, I do not like it. I would not be able to wear it anyway.
lekpom – :
Blind bought it hoping it would be stronger with the coffee and chocolate, but the chocolate is pretty faint and coffee is almost nonexistent to my nose. Regardless, I like the scent and would wear it as a daily for fall and winter. It’s mainly hazelnut, some sweetness, and citrus. I think I would have liked it better if it didn’t have the citrus, but I wouldn’t know if it would be worse without.
There’s some similarities between this and Dior Homme, but I think Valentino Uomo lasts a little longer on me. It’s also a few bucks cheaper, so that’s another perk.
rolikc07 – :
一開始聞起來就像是檸檬酒,幾分鐘後聞起來就是像巧克力點心
太過於香甜,這只合適拿來晚上約會時用的香水
It smells like lemon wine at first, and it smells like chocolate dessert in a few minutes.
Too sweet, this is only appropriate when used to perfume the evening appointments
olegogos – :
Is it only me or does this really smell like Rochas Man? More so than Dior Homme in my opinion. It’s the same Play-Doh kind of smell and I don’t mean that in a bad way! Play-Doh smell sounds kind of bad but it really smells nice to be honest!
andr.panckov – :
A great, expensive-smelling fragrance, it reminds me of fancy chocolates. Personally I think this could be worn all year round by men and women, although I don’t think it smells too feminine. Projection not bad but someone would have to be in your personal space to notice it, ok longevity. I wear this for day-to-day events, but I don’t think it is impactful enough for formal events.
Overall: Scent 8.5/10
Projection: 5/10
Longevity: 6/10
mypemeara – :
Chocolate/hazlenut leathery powder fragrance. Definitely a gourmand, really smells like something almost edible!! Like a box of fine chocolates. Probably the coolest bottle out of any fragrance I have had however the cheap plastic nozzle cover takes away from it. They should have made a proper lid.
This is overall an excellent fragrance, it smells very expensive though quite a bit feminine. For this reason I never did end up wearing it before I sold it.
In the same sort of situation where I would wear this, I would rather wear D&G The One or Bleu de Chanel. I wouldn’t say this fragrance is any worse or better than those, it is just more feminine which I don’t think is really to my taste, even though I really like the way it smells. Just not personally something I would wear.
Never understood the comparisons to Dior Homme, I had that too and they didn’t smell similar at all. This is a significantly better fragrance.
Jencepymn – :
the intense version is def better for young boys because of more vanilla and sweeter. the original is very serious, very businessman-appropriate
sam1976 – :
Which of the two Valentino Uomos is more suitable for a 19 years old student: The Original or the Intense version?
Based on other reviews, both fragrances are worth having.
Note that I’m looking for the best performance and versatility possible.
Appreciate the answer!
Racism – :
I found this more wearable than intense. Because the intense smell better with proper attire. Both original and intense are well blended. Even the longevity for both is good and project well. I think u should keep either one in your collection.
Worth the money.
Dewastatorrus – :
Judging by the pyramid and votes, i expected a lot more chocolate and hazelnut. However it’s dominated by the woody sweet leather vibe with a shy cocoa accord and coffee. It’s classy and polished but smells too similar to Dior homme/intense, by concept and final result.
scent: 7+/10
longevity: 6/10
sillage: 6/10
evg_harkov – :
I tried this scent and I fell in love with it straight away. The magic is in the dry down where I get the leather, woody and creamy kind of vibe. I have smelled this before but this is very well done. Getting a full bottle ASAP.
Update: Finally got this as a birthday present. Great scent. Brings that variation in my collection.
molika – :
I bought this for my husband. However, he is very kind enoigh to share it with me. This is one that he has been wanting in his collection for a very long time. It seems that he likes to be a junkie when it comes to coffee notes. I suggested this to him and read a few reviews to him. He was very interested, and told me to get it for him right away. When the bottle arrived, he was not disappointed at all. It’s soft, it’s creamy, it has a masculine vibe to it, it’s spicy, it’s earthy. It’s everything He had hoped and more. This fragrance is a pure pleasure. The Performance of this fragrance I would say is above average.
wolfin07 – :
It’s hard for me to pick notes-overall it’s soft sweet with touch of barbershop in the background. Not bad but nothing special.
valet1201963 – :
Certainly one of my favorite male-marketed fragrances. A delicious mocha toasted hazelnut swirl coffee drink that makes me want to devour whoever is wearing it. I guess it also helps that I sprayed some of a decant of this on someone when we were out and about in Amsterdam on an October day. I bought Dior Homme for him about a year prior but he was so scared of losing it to airport security (cute) that he didn’t bring it, so I figured this would make for a good stand-in. It did not disappoint. Similar enough that I still associated the smell with this particular person but with distinct gourmand nuances that I had the pleasure of catching whiffs of all day and all night as they were carried on the crisp fall air. Lovely.
majkal – :
Great scent!
It smells of elegance and chocolate. The drydown is the best part.
Projection seems to be OK.
I would love to wear this to the office. I may buy it in the future for that purpose.
230983 – :
It’s hard to believe this soft, powdery fragrance lives in this tough-looking hobnail bottle. Hazelnuts? Chocolate? Leather? And whatever myrtle is. I smell none of these things. The synthetic components that make up this juice almost kind of work themselves into a sugary chypre, but I feel I’m being hoodwinked into believing there are actual legible notes in this thing. If you can rock a pencil skirt, this one’s for you.
jonn – :
To me this smells like La Vie Est Belle by Lancome but more powdery in the drydown. It is a nice scent but it is not very masculine, so the name ‘Uomo’ is a weird choice. It is a gourmand fragrance that is totally unisex.
жека 1 – :
awesome smell
epinamycapmex – :
I agree a lot with the review posted previously by @heavenlyflower back in December.
For me, this opens with a fresh burst of bergamot and myrtle (the most masculine phase of the perfume) and then develops into a lovely, rich, sweet (but not overly sweet) mid phase. I don’t get any coffee, but I pick up the sweetness of the chocolate, without that rather off-putting melting milk chocolate bar note that I dislike in Angel Muse, I get a hint of a rich nuttiness and something which adds a powdery note that I can’t find in the listed notes above. Another reviewer suggested maybe the presence of iris or, in my case, I’m thinking heliotrope? I can’t recognize a particular floral scent just the light feeling of powder.
Winding in and out through the mid-phase I also start picking up refreshing hints of cedar which, I would have thought, would clash with the other softer notes but actually seems to work well as a counterpoint. Then it fades down to a skin scent of soft woodiness, suede and still for me that powdery note.
I really like this. I just wish it had stronger projection and a bit more longevity of the middle portion of the development. The dry down stays as a skin scent for several hours on me but that gorgeous middle part is all too fleeting. I’m tempted to respray very often and with only a 50ml bottle its not going to last me long.
zsp – :
Ok yes it’s similar to dior homme …
But it’s BETTER. Especially compared to the current version of Dior homme.
Dior homme is still decent but Valentino uomo is just better.
This is like a delicious liqueur and an expensive truffle. So refined and so classy.
Not for daytime or summertime really.
A nightime scent for sure.
And that bottle…
One of the best bottles ever designed for a mens fragrance.
Nekit12ARB – :
I still have it in my shelf after 2 years… it’s kinda amberish… It’s ok but not my favorite from Valentino.
Анд – :
Sweet, but not too sweet. a bit of a darker chocolate. The hazelnuts are nice. Don’t get much coffee, but maybe it’s helping cut the sweet. Nice fall frag. This is a more minorly gourmand and it has the kind of notes I can deal with bitter chocolate, hazelnut, coffee, not cupcake. Definitely unisex. Great bottle.
Тёма1989 – :
To me the most boring fragrance ever. Didn’t really do anything from the opening to the dry down. Very basic dull scent. Not an unpleasant one just a Meh type. I got about 5 samples with other purchases and there was no way I was going to wear this so I spray in boiling water in my bathroom and let it fragrance my house
serlen3 – :
When test perfumes I usually have one spray. First time with Valentino Uomo I had three sprays. The first spray I thought “water?” The second spray I doubted my nose was broken. To the third spray I worried about I have a fake.
But it’s not until later it grows on the skin, especially when one keep moving and is surrounded by the scent. VU is so delicate and exquisite, true unisex, almost feminine. I can see why people compare it to DIOR Homme, they’re dreaming in a powdery world on its own.
I felt the same way if its lasting power is as long as Tom Ford’s I would happily have this one as my signature. And since Miss Dior is dead (for the time being…) I also appreciate VU evokes those beautiful atmosphere and memories. I won’t be disagree if someone says it’s rose-patchouli there, and in my humble opinion I justify Miss Dior 2017 should be sweet like this;)
The beautiful beautiful bottle is a plus.

I tried this perfume in Duty Free in one of the airports. When the perfume became stable on my hand I wanted to jump out of the plane to buy it. I purchased it online once the plane landed. I can say it is AMAZING. One of the best scents I have ever smelled. It is very similar to CDHI and Armani Code Profumo.
I give it 10/10!!
Advokat495812 – :
Valentino Uomo is NOT a Thierry Mugleresque Gourmand and, if that’s what you’re expecting you’ll be disappointed.
It’s has more of a warm, smooth conservative slightly boozy quality. Better in cooler weather; at night, it sits close to its wearer and has a good longevity.
8.5/10
dobrik88 – :
My husband said it smells like bubblegum
obivan666 – :
I find the opening to be sickly sweet but the dry-down is okay. There’s something about it that makes it smell incredibly expensive and elegant. However I still wouldn’t call myself a fan of this fragrance. The bottle is gorgeous though.
For some reason it does not perform very well on my skin, which surprised me considering the reviews I’ve read for it. I get around 3 hours before the scent fades completely with an hour of projection. It is most definitely best suited for the winter.
Scent: 5/10
Performance: 4/10

I’m in love with this one…
When I first saw the notes I wasn’t really interested because I thought that it would be cloying or too strong… But when i tried it i was pleasently surprised.. it’s a wearable gourmand and very manly.
I think I need a FB soon
gymnAmittee – :
As I find the Uomo Intense a perfect unisex fragrance, this is even more feminine for me, it stays for sure a wonderful scent to smell on a guy, but I easily can pull it off, love it and I love to wear it in summer!!
The longevity and sillage: moderate – good.
genya0105 – :
I was searching for a new perfume and my fave notes are cacao and chocolate. I came across this perfume in one of the bestseller perfume for 2017 and the cacao & coffee notes really interest me. After reading most the reciews here, I decided to buy this perfume online without even testing it beforehand. So it’s basically a blind buy.
My first impression after speayed it on my husband, he opening smell creamy (which I like), a bit powdery & the drydown is spicy. I can’t smell the coffee nor the cacao but the sweetness is there somewhere.
nusha-plusha – :
Sometimes wearable, almost pleasant sweeeeeeeet fragrance… Sometimes unbearably sickening, just like a nose-dive into a full bottle of Nutella.
Gypegnalley – :
Valentino Uomo is the more younger and gourmand brother of Uomo Intense. The opening and drydown can be described with one word, heavenly. Its a perfect fragrance for a elegant nightout. Scent: 8.5/10, but sadly (the longevity) is only 6/10.
rom-ka77777 – :
It’s very nice. A more smother version of the Dior Homme. However I can’t detect it on my skin after 2 hours.
himujopyfo – :
I have sampled this TWICE (first time about a month ago, and a second time today to really make sure that I’m being fair here)
and I can NOT pick up any gourmand notes on it!! And frankly this scent is massively boring! I’m not sure why – I wonder if the bottle i’m sampling from is the issue but it is just pretty lame.
Abramozbf – :
The opening is fresh, but it changes quickly into something very cozy and comforting.
I get hazelnuts, dakr chocolate (only a subtle one), unfortunately no coffee note for me. And after the drydown I can smell some smokiness which I believe comes from leather.
It’s not spicy, it’s moderate sweet and despite many people calling this unisex, to me it smells masculine.
I prefer a bit spicier male fragrances on men, but it’s actually very nice and quite seductive: smells very classy and elegant. Really like a mature guy sitting in his suit drinking cognac in a whiskey’n’cigar private lounge.
To me 8,5/10.

I bought this as a gift for a family member &he loved it,I bought when it first came out,the Bottle was nice&when reading the notes I thought it would be perfect for a winter scent& Christmas gift, but I didn’t like it as much as I thought,I prefer ysl-l’homme edp, The imitation organic oil colonge from (Lotions & potions of TF- Tabacco vanille,) this is not rich enough, and there is something sharp in this I dislike, overall it’s ok,should last longer to,it reminded me a little of Malt by Thierry Mugler, idk. Why does but lacks something? If it were not for the sharp note however,I imagine a calm, sexy, mature man who is approachable wearing this:) also classic &timeless,so I’d like on a man if it were not for that minty sharp note,I guess,it’s ok as it is…just not as good as it could be.
ws9452 – :
I am positive this has iris in it. Smells similar to dior homme.
ALEX BLACK – :
This smells like STR8 Hero. I can’t find this STR8 fragrance here, but the smell is 90% the same. Nothing like Dior Homme Intense, I own it and just u can’t compare this two.
trw698InsuffBooni – :
I really thought after all the research that I did, that I would love this one. The ingredients are right on with what I usually like in a men’s winter fragrance. But that first jolt with each sniff is some kind of minty bit that I can’t get on board with. Its not as strong as it settles, but its still there. I feel like if I try some of the flankers that I would find the right one….
Antipov007 – :
Good fragrance but nothing outsatanding. Opens with a blast of camphorous-minty myrtle, which totally does not fit in the sweet composition. Fortunately, this camphorous vibe fades away 5-10 minutes later, and comes the mid note: gorumand, warm, sweet, but not cloying hazelnut chocolate with a bit of coffee. This is the best part of the perfume, perfectly balanced, long lasting (3-4 hours) not too much ant not too overwhelming. The base notes are good too, but really solids, I can smell a weak leather note with a bit of cedar. Without the myrtle and with better sillage this could be a great scent, but still like it. Oh, and it is totally unisex
– autumn/winter, cool weather scent. Better for night time, but wearable in daytime too
– sillage is bit better than average, longevity arond 7-8 hours on skin
– safe blind buy
Scent (open, top-mid): 7.5/10 (x2)

QUIGOTOINUE – :
This fragrance is a great example of how something can look one way on paper, but be very different in real life.
With dominant notes of hazelnut, chocolate, and coffee, one would think that Valentino Uomo might present as something like a liquid Nutella, or a dark and rich mocha.
Those notes are indeed present here, but the addition of bergamot and myrtle adds a sour, almost plant-like note to the bouquet, and in my opinion, it ruins the mix.
The sweet chocolate/nut/coffee ends up presenting as almost synthetic and chemical, at least to my nose. There’s something not quite right about it, something off, something that’s too harsh.
It’s frustrating, because every so often I will catch whiffs off the chocolate, coffee, and hazelnut, but just enough to be a tease.
Your mileage may vary, of course, and I know that a lot of people really enjoy this juice as a solid gourmand. To each his own, I guess. I was just expecting something closer to A*Men, I suppose.

* This is my review, I don’t know why the previous one posted as guest_ **
First, I want to say that the notes on this fragrance differ, depending on where you look.
Fragrantica lists:
“opens with bergamot and myrtle, succeeded in the heart by roasted coffee combined with gianduja cream, on a rich base created of cedar and precious leather”.
Nordstrom lists:
Notes:
– Top: Italian bergamot, myrtle liquor.
– Middle: crema di gianduia.
– Base: leather, cedarwood.
..and yet another popular fragrance site lists:
Top – bergamot, myrtle
Heart (middle) Roasted coffee beans, chocolate, hazelnut
Base – Leather, Cedarwood
Based on this: all seem to agree that the base notes are leather and cedarwod.
In the middle, two of the three list gianduia cream and one lists roasted coffee beans.
Don’t know what gianduia cream is? Neither did I, so I had to google it. It’s listed as a sweet, chocolate spread, containing about 30% hazelnut paste, invented in Turin, during Napoleon’s regency.
So, Nutella.
In a nutshell (pun intended), they all agree that the top notes are bergamot and myrtle, the heart notes are chocolate and hazelnut and the basenotes are leather and cedarwood.
Having babbled all of that, here’s my take on it:
As a disclaimer, my nose is poor and I’m not picking up a lot of the bergamot in the opening, unless it’s part of the sweet smell that seems to be blended so well. The chocolate is very evident, along with a *slightly* lesser hazelnut. I don’t pick up the wood and only a hint of leather.
IMO: If you buy this fragrance, you’re going to smell like radiating, ethereal Nutella, backed by an ever so slight hint of orange.
My first thought when I smelt it in a sample was “meh”. Then, a bit later, I smelt it again and thought “that’s pretty good” and then I realized that I had to have a bottle.
In regard to projection and longevity, I don’t quite understand those who say that this fragrance is weak. To me, it’s quite strong with projection and longevity being above average.
Last: Sorry for the long review. Normally, long reviews annoy the crap out of me but I wanted to note the differences in notes between different sites.
evgenichs – :
I got a 50ml bottle of this in 2015 when I still did not know much about fragrances. I have made the mistake to use almost all of it in that very hot summer season which prevented both me and the people around me to enjoy it.
That being said only after I realized that this is a fall/winter fragrance and started using it appropriately I fell in love with it. It is one of those scents that I can’t restrain myself from sniffing every few minutes. All I can say is that it smells as luxurious and warm as it gets. Sweet, but definitely not feminine.
Good projection (2-3 hours) and very good longevity (12+ hours).
As far as comparisons with Dior Homme and Dior Homme Intense go, I do own Dior Homme and although I would admit they have a similar vibe, they are far from being the same. I have also tried Valentino Uomo Intense and I respect the brand for keeping it real – the ‘intense’ version is actually what the title suggest it is – more rich and intense than the original. At least in the opening, the dry downs are close to identical. Still very distinguishable from the Diors.
I have never received a compliment wearing this, I would assume mostly because I have used it mainly in the wrong season.
I would definitely either repurchase this one or go for the Intense version and make it my cool season signature scent.
The bottle design is very extravagant and beautiful. I am out of sorts why they chose the sorry excuse of a cap that simply destroys the overall appearance of the whole bottle.

@Louismanuel:
It’s obvious that you ignore that Olivier Polge (the perfumer of this masterpiece) is the same perfumer who created the first Dior Homme in 2005, therefore I don’t see this Valentino is a clone of anything, but rather a new reinterpretation or a more rounded and refined update of what this genius’ nose probably wanted to do time ago after his creation with Dior.
Do you think all Michelangelo’s paintings are kind of clones to each other depending if they were ordered by the Pope or by the Medici family? Pfffffffffff…
And excuse me but the quality of this gem is simply a dream for Zara and Armaf.
So dear fragrantican, you wake up, not us!
Regards.

Ok i’m up here now and wanted to add something new.
I had Dior Fahrenheit Eau de Parfum yesterday, on from the ICI Paris XL. But this morning I applied some of this Valentino Uomo. It’s ridiculously good now. It doesn’t smell that much of a feminine side perfume anymore… It blended and I must say, maybe someone should try this!
31031983 – :
I kind of like this. Its sweet and fresh but also very warming. not to mention very good performance. However it’s just to feminine for me as a male to wear.
I don’t know about anyone else but to me this smells a bit like a women’s hair salon/hairdressers which I like but is very feminine. sort of reminds me of a teenage girl.
smell: 8/10 (smells great but too girly for most men in my opinion)

Fragrance -Valentino Uomo
Bottle from – 2017
(Batch Code: D1771)
This is my first perfume I bought after I did some research on finding a fitting perfume. I think it’s quite a metrosexual perfume as it’s suitable for as well women and men in a way. It’s more of mild masculine perfume, but I got a sweet scent that’s leaning towards feminine.
The perfume itself is like a combination of a coffee store and a chocolaterie (more likely Galler). The smell is imo between above average and good. I.e. between an above average.
I sprayed it on in November and what I can smell is that it’s longevity (after moisture) is not like the usual 8 hours now. It was cold day, and it seems it just melted away after a good 4 hours…
I think it’s more suited to autumn than winter instead.
Longevity – 7,5/10(5,5+hours)
Sillage/Projection – 6,5/10
Weather – misty, rainy, cold, (Seasons: autumn, winter)
Compliments – None yet.
Scent – 8/10
Main notes according to me – iris, hazelnut, chocolate, coffee, leather, cedar.
I think there’s really Iris in this one like the ‘Valentino Uomo Intense’…
The drydown is nice and i get some – woodiness, sweetness, powder and leather. There is no cinnamon in here, but I feel the combination of all ingredients make up a smell that’s close to cinnamon, though.
Emotions -mildly excited, touching, reminiscent
Occasions: I’d say on a light breezy walk in the more calm parts of the suburbs.

Okay, apparently the people comparing this to DHI have never smelled either fragrance before. It’s Valentino Uomo Intense that is similar to DHI.
5pav – :
I do have DHI and VU. They are not the same at all when I compare them side by side on my arms. But, they kinda share the similar vibe. DHI seems more synthetic, heavy, powdery, and lipsticky. Don’t get me wrong. I still like it,but I gotta get easy on the trigger and it seems more suitable for winter. Also, it might be too much for office because it creates a huge scent bubble. On the other hand, VU has a bit fresh, and cocoa scent in top note. The dry down is leathery, woody, and a bit sweat. It is way more versatile than DHI. It is good for day/night, autumn/winter, and formal/casual settings. I can’t say which is better, but it is safe to say that VU can be more widely accepted.
blondysunshine – :
Take Dior Homme, ramp up the sweetness and chocolate by about 20%, and you have Uomo. Warm, cozy, and slightly powdery. My cold weather signature scent. Love it.
tci891InsuffBooni – :
This is so creamy and sexy on my skin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lovely !!!!!!!!!!! Longevity on me is not bad but could be better (6/7 hours), sillage is moderat but lasts for 4/5 hours. This is a exceptional goumand, chocolate-y, delicious but not too sugary.
alexzavgar – :
Ok I’m gonna admit it, this was a blind buy solely based on the look of the bottle…there I said it lol
I have a love hate relationship with gourmands that feature chocolate and sweetness, they can be overpowering to my nose. Whilst I love the scent, they become too much, overly sweet and sticky.
Upon initial spray this falls into that category, but thankfully with its dry down it tones itself down. The Hazelnut gives it a nice nuttiness and who doesn’t love hazelnuts smothered in chocolate.
I don’t get any woods.
If you love gourmands with chocolate you’ll more than likely love it. I don’t see myself replacing the bottle I have after it’s used.
vovaq1 – :
I have to say that of all my fragrances with this one in particular, I have had an inner battle going on for a long time whether it was for me or not but I have actually learned to love this a little.
I must admit that I like the dry down much better than the opening. The opening is a bit sharp/transparent, but let it settle and you are in for a treat.
Definition of the scent: Classy. This is not a teenagers choice. 30+.
Occasions/Seasons: Formal, date, night out. Although this fragrance is being defined as a “cold weather” fragrance, I would say that due to its mild projection one could easily pull this off any time of the year.
Warning: Do not overspray due to its sharp/transparent opening. If you are to give it some extra sprays, let it settle for half an hour or so, before getting close to people.
Projection: This is not a “Beast Mode” and should not be.
Sillage: 1-1½ feet.
Longevity: Max. 6 hours (on my skin).
A safe blind buy: No.
Rating: 3.5/5

It’s truly nice that so many people find this fragrance lovely. I really wanted to like it. To me, it smells like yet another forgettable corporate-driven, LCD scent. and chocolate in the middle and romantic woody, leathery, powdery scent in the drydown.I think this could be unisex. Reminds me a little bit of Dior Homme and Dior Homme Intense, but courtesy to a chocolate note, a completely different beast.

The best unisex, deep but inoffensive designer fragrance on the market imo. It is sophisticated, sillage is great and exudes elegance and class. Its sweet depth allows it to be worn by both a male and a female, in any social setting. Beautiful bottle is a major bonus but, to be honest, this fragrance could come packaged in a plastic water bottle and I would still buy it for the scent alone.

Tried on VU at The Galleria mall in Houston, TX. I smell all the notes listed except bergamot but it seems like that note is blended in a lot of fragrances. Not really sure what myrtle smells like. Primarily hazelnut, chocolate and coffee; sweet, gourmand. There is a bit of a vanilla, tonka feel here as well.
I don’t care for this one. The smell, to me, is synthetic and cloying almost to the point of headache. A little better on the dry down. I can smell some similarities to Bvlgari Black
