After the Valentino Uomo fragrance from 2014, Valentino presents its feminine version Valentino Donna, that comes out in the fall of 2015. The fragrance is announced as a smooth chypre – floral. It contains accords of Italian bergamot, Bulgarian rose, iris absolute, patchouli, leather and vanilla.

It is available as Eau de Parfum in a bottle design that reminds of the masculine version (studded heavy glass), only in pink color. Valentino Donna was created by Sonia Constant and Antoine Maisondieu.

At first, I thought this perfume was quite unpleasant, but after a few minutes, it turned into the best perfume I’ve ever smelled in my life! Absolutely beautiful, I smell like a rose garden. Men love it, too!

In opening it’s another sweet, accessible, slightly powdery, commercial vanilla-y thing in the same vein as LVEB/FB. Dries down and loses most of its initial sweetness to reveal more interesting notes including leather and patchouli. This is floral, but not distinctively so, kind of a lipsticky fragrance. Definitely thought out.

I think there’s enough descriptive reviews already to give you an idea of what this perfume smells like.. I am in LOVE with this fragrance.. it’s unique, modern and classy. Everything I need it to be. The reason I feel compelled to write this review is because, out of all the perfumes I own (ranging from Chanel, to Tom Ford, to Dior, to Versace, Elizabeth & James and SO SO many in between.. DONNA by Valentino is the one with which I get the most compliments. Every single time I wear it someone will ask.. wow, what perfume are you wearing, you smell gorgeous!! And as a perfume lover this is music to my ears. Donna has the potential to be a signature scent for me if I were so inclined to have one, as it is I can
Never wear the same perfume for more than two days, such is my character. This perfume is a MASTERPIECE. 10/10, try it. Put it on your Christmas wish list so every time you wear it you will be reminded of Christmas.. as it’s also as perfect winter scent. YUM.

First blast – my nose says “ La Vie Est Belle”!
On reflection after the drydown – it’s a subtler perhaps more refined or less intense version of La Vie Est Belle with more of a musky undertone which makes it more wearable IMHO

When I first smelled this I hated it, it kind of reminded me of my great grandma, I think it was the powdery iris, but I gave it a second chance and I loved it. I haven’t smelled other perfumes as powdery as this, it definitely has a make up/lipstick vibe, which I adore. I never expected that I would like the iris as most times it gets paired with violets, which I don’t particularly love, but the iris and rose combo in this is to die for. It’s powdery yet smooth (maybe the leather) and undeniably beautiful. I agree it is not girly at all, I find it grown up, sophisticated and elegant.
Great longevity-I sprayed in my hair in the morning and could still smell it on my pillowcase the next morning. Sillage is moderate to heavy depending on how many sprays you use. In my case 3-4 sprays easily fill the room. Will definitely be buying another FB and even considering making this my signature. I would say it is suitable for any weather and any occasion. It is one of those timeless and elegant perfumes I don’t want to ever be without. I know it is a bit on the pricy side but so worth it!
Bottle is really pretty too, and the only thing that bugs me is that it doesn’t have a cap-a bit cautious of wasting it if I carry it in my bag.

I do not know why other members write that this too pinky, sweet and girly. This is nothing like it. It’s name ”donna” serves this right. Rose with iris is not girly girl. This perfume is totally classy. Sweet classy, reminding me of expensive make up/lipstick and lace. Something a beautiful bride would wear. Totally love it. Valentino has amazing perfumes and the bottle…oh my god!

There are certain perfumes that are massively liked. I think Donna hit that button. When I want to make impression, to be liked or just when I have important conversation, I make a spritz of Valentino Donna and go. For some reason I get positive results and a lot of attention to my words. I can see people enjoying it.
When I try it on paper, it smells like typical perfume store, mix mash of everything. You expect it to be jumping, yelling and girly. But on skin it sits very nicely like a lady. I think on skin it is classic powdery floral but with sweetener which gives that contemporary young city chick vibe.
I have tried all perfumes of the category: La Vie, Mon Paris, Mon Guerlain etc. Only Valentino Donna has a grain of sophistication under trendy make up and with each hour it gets better. I guess it doesn’t smell too strong to be unpleasant even for gourmand haters.

I wanted so much to like this because of the stunning bottle. While it’s a perfectly gorgeous perfume technically, it’s not my cup of tea. The rose is way too strong in it for my liking. It’s pretty much sickly sweet syrupy rose. It’s very girly & pink. If that sounds like your jam, definitely try it.

Very sophisticated, soft, and pleasant lipstick heavy scent, really dig it.
Tested on paper, not sure how it’ll work with my skin chemistry.
If anyone knows similar (and/or better), please let me know.

    I really love this fragrance.
I have been searching for a fragrance that is a little more sophisticated…I’m nearly 40 and I was looking for a signature scent.
I tried a few in a similar vein after reading so many reviews on here…Si, la vie, mademoiselle, lipstick on…I tried some of my past favorites… Allure, Vince camuto, no. 5.
None of them work with my body chemistry. They turn musky and old on me or they had a sharpness that hurt my nose…and they all gave me a headache.
I tried the lotion first because I got a great deal on eBay… when I first smelled it, it reminded me of my aunt, who was quite a fashionista and young single in the mid eighties. She wore the original Beautiful and White Linen, and department store makeup.
I love this stuff!!! I didn’t get a headache and it just keeps getting better on my skin. The only other fragrance that does this for me is…wait for it… Jessica Simpson Fancy…lol, I know!!! But it just works for me. My husband and toddlers love Donna on me… they’re literally non-stop sniffing me lol.
I purchased some samples of the perfume and I’ve worn it on 2 special occasions. I also found a solid perfume on poshmark and I love it even more. I finally had a chance to try it at Nordstrom (we live far from the nearest city). I have the full bottle and body cream on my Christmas list.
So, I would highly recommend this to those that enjoy a perfumey makeup fragrance with a powdery vanilla softness. Like another reviewer said, it reminds me of Donna from Suits…bold, beautiful, confident, feminine.

this is such an amazing perfume I cant get enough of, its fresh (in a sweet way- not minty-lemony fresh) yet sweet and sophisticated I didn’t want to buy it at first since it is generally a sweet perfume and I already had Armani SI so I thought I don’t need more sweetness in my life – but! eventually after spraying it and sniffing for like 5 times it broke me and I bought it and there’s 0 regret I just keep loving it more and more – the leather gives it such a kick in a beautiful way, like a nice balanced twist to the sweetness I always think about Donna Paulsen from Suits when I wear this –
    sassy, stylish and sexy.
might be too heavy for summer days but you can totally rock it at night

Very strong till make my stomach sick whenever i first spray this, however i still love the scent tho.
On me donna not rosy or powdery. It more like sweet vanilla and fruity with a lil bit floral notes at the end. The longevity it’s in the middle
I think donna good for daily wear for those who likes sweet, elegan, feminine scent just like the flacon.

    Edit ;
alright, i decide to edit my review. I’ve been wearing Donna again for about 2 weeks now and all i can say is love this perfume without ”But” .
I just think i finally have my chemistry with it -is-already-beautiful-fragrance. If on my last review i said my stomach get sick whenever i 1st spray Donna on my skin, it is not anymore, i even feel its so interesting. and the longevity its also become amazing. i spray this at night before and i still can smell the perfume slightly at tomorrow morning. i’m falling in love for the 2nd time to Valentino Donna.

This is quite potent, more a fall-winter scent to me, however you can just pull it off in the spring. Opening is quite fruity with a nice fresh twist. There’s a creamy vanilla background, merging with rose to create a sweet rose jam scent. Drying down to patchouli, I personally don’t detect the suede note.
Similar to Coco Mademoiselle & Flowerbomb.

I had a hard time identifying the rose in this for the longest time because I was looking for a classic rose blossom fragrance. I got more of a sweet berry-like fragrance along with a beautiful clean, dry, powdery iris, and and a very subtle touch of patchouli that only comes out in the heat. When I finally realized that the berry-like smell wasn’t berries at all, but a candied rose petal jam, I finally understood how people smell the rose in this. The vanilla isn’t really discernable as such, but gives a slightly creamy effect to the composition, and I don’t smell the leather at all.
At first spray, this fragrance has a bit of sharp fruity grapefruit smell, but that disappears within the first five minutes. The rest of the fragrance is a long lasting, warm, sweet rose and lightly powdery iris that’s simple, feminine, and very modern fantasy version of vintage.
Most of my fragrances are old classic Guerlains, Chanels, and aldehydic bombshells that have a reputation for being as temperamental and difficult as they are beautiful. When I want a simple, sweet, modern scent that’s coy, hyper-feminine, and completely non-challenging, this is what I reach for. This is one of a handful of fragrances that my husband notices and loves on me.

  15. :

    5 out of 5

Initial spray was very fruity-floral sweet (not my thing) in the vein of Chloe Nomade. But a few minutes later what I assume is the leather note comes through, saving the fragrance for me, giving it some depth and stopping it from becoming screechy or cloying. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it is a creamy scent but the leather adds a creamy suede note that gives it a smooth, more delectable elegance. Still not my personal style and don’t feel compelled to buy a FB but I like it more than expected based on the opening, and something about the suede intrigues me enough to make me feel sorry that my sample is gone. I can imagine this being a good date scent. I imagine it with a pale pink chiffon shirt and cream-coloured buttery soft leather jacket.
EDIT: Just to add, I don’t get powder or iris but I am starting to wonder if I have problems detecting powder and iris in general. I like this better than Nomade, which I found too sweet, and much better than La Vie est Belle, which is an overbearing sugary scrubber for me.

True beauty. In the past I used only gourmet fragrances. Ingredients such as cinnamon or vanilla, caramel, honey, candies etc. Later, it began to attract me to the fruity-floral perfumes. I wanted a change. Especially For spring with summer. In the store I tried this perfume with a lovely, cute pinky flacon 🙂 It was LOVE at first smell, I swear. Great fragrance, gentle but very feminine. At the beginning I smell only fresh roses with a little powder. Afterwards perfume shows up. A beautiful, womanly scent full of sweet, powdered roses with soft vanilla. One of the finest smells in the world. This is a perfume full of romance for me.

It’s one of the different fragrances that I absolutely smell! I feel the smell of leather in this smell intensely. It has come to me interesting and the scent became powdery later.
I was thinking of buying this smell but I decided that it was adult female scent.
    Definitely elegant, grown-up feminine scent.

I usually write ‘full’ reviews about my thoughts, notes that I get or in general what I think for a perfume. I was so looking forward to test it although it’s not such a new one. Well, you have to experience it by yourself. You can’t describe it easily, or it’s just me that I am not experienced with Valentino perfumes?
All I get is a nice mixture of fine ‘glossy’ black leather with a very soft floral cloud. Iris is more prominent but rose gives a powdery effect. That’s it. I can’t call it neither simple or ordinary. It belongs to the category of very classy, tender or let’s say dressy perfumes with a touch of couture. It really worths a try for it’s depthness and to remind you that the older a perfume, the better it is.

I have to agree with the previous review by ashleynelson. This perfume to me is straightforward sweetness with not much else. I don’t detect rose at all, maybe the iris is there, but I don’t quite distinguish that either. It is a sweet vanilla with maybe a hint of leather note and probably some patchouli. If you like your perfume sweet and not complicated, this might work for you. The bottle is gorgeous though and looks very classy.

Honestly, I’m not gonna be popular for saying this but Donna smells like straight up candy to my nose. Like something I would get from Bath & Body works with “sugar” in the title. It does not smell of very high quality designer prices or even what it’s going for in the grey market. This is not to hate on it because it is sweet, because believe me I own and have loved many a gourmand, but I was not expecting this to smell like one so I am quite disappointed.
The only notes that I do smell are vanilla and a *tiny* hint of leather. That’s the only thing that saves this from crossing over into sickening territory. But it’s barely there, and drenched in that cheap vanilla. I get no rose, no iris, not even patchouli, which I have been able to pick out in many other scents of this caliber (Flowerbomb, LVEB) if I did this would be way more interesting. It’s also linear; I smell this when I first spray it and for as long as it lasts. Which is a decent 6+ hours, I’ll give it that. But I get that and more from the other two I mentioned, so I’d rather get those.
I’d say to test this one in a store and maybe even get a sample before buying, because I haven’t seen a lot of opinions similar to mine, but you could always have that one chemistry that’s different from the other 99%, like me.

    Valentino Donna
I don’t agree with the accords or some of the notes.
    Lime?
Or put it this way they don’t sing to me individually.
First off I though yes, nice, but I’ve smelled you before.
Could be that Armani Si and Gucci absolu had a baby, there’s a note in the beginning that makes me not too fussed – eternity intense by CK has it also (but I dislike that scent)
To me in the beginning this scent has a high warm fruity ness rather than powdery rose vanilla.
I’m in the mid stage of this now I feel:
Warm, powdery, aromatic maybe? Vanilla -depth, sweet, some background note that ck intense has. Hey;maybe it’s the leather and florals?? Don’t know what it is.

I honestly have no idea what took me so long to get around to this lovely creation. I had Donna Acqua before this one. Anyhoo..At first blast I get an unexpected sweetness with this; not little girl candy bomb sweet nor cloying nor synthetic. But that initial sweetness lasts but a couple of minutes. Then this dries down to a feminine powdery floral. I do pick up the rose and the suede as well, but everything here is playing nicely together; nothing is screeching or overpowering above the other notes. Smells to my nose like the fragrance counters of the 70’s or even the 80’s, before the candy bombs and fruity florals and fruitcholis took over. So, to me, this has a slight vintage scent. There is no sweetness here after those initial couple of minutes. I can’t really pick up the vanilla. And vanilla is not the sweetness I get at first blast, I am guessing possibly the bergamot, while bergamot is typically fresh, I am thinking possibly that is what smells sweet to me at first blast. Unless, of course, there is note(s) missing from the listing, which is very possible. Oddly enough, I can’t pick up the bergamot nor the vanilla on the dry down; hardly picking up any of the patchouli, either.
This is all about the powdery/rose/floral/leather combo to my nose/on my skin. I tend to like Valentino frag’s, and this one did not disappoint. Smells classy and feminine. Not overpowering. Soft to moderate projection and moderate longevity. I think this could last all day on some skins. But yet this is not too heavy nor powerful. Sort of makes me think of a classy aunt or “church lady” from my past. But that is not to say this smells like an old lady..but, rather just very classy and feminine.

Unfortunately it doesn’t stay on my skin longer than an hour. I am so disappointed, because I’ve read a lot of incredible reviews. The smell is average for me, nothing special.

I’ve never had this and only recently I’ve tried it on… it smells amazing, especially the dry down, literally everything I love in a perfume: it’s feminine and elegant and deep, a bit sweet but also fresh, rosey but not too much, a bit vintage and powdery…
I really really think this is going to be my wedding day perfume! Found it!!!

  25. :

Words cannot describe how much I love this. It’s soft, feminine but not screechy. It’s rose but not really floral. It’s ageless- I can see just about any age wearing this. It calms me, makes me feel balanced and collected. This is my first time with iris, so perhaps I should look for more fragrances with the note. This perfume is like slipping out of work attire and into cozy sweatpants and a tee shirt, cuddling up with a good book on a rainy day, cup of tea in hand. Pure bliss

I had never smelled any Valentino fragrances prior to Donna. This one took me by surprise—an unexpected love at first smell! A MASSIVE blast of iris on top gives Donna (as others have said) a very waxy, lipstick-like accord, but this soon meanders into rosy patchouli territory; the vanilla is very vague and modest. This smells to me as if it could be a flanker of Armani’s Sì, with similar DNA but a powdery iris note added into the mix. I love Sì, but have unfortunately tainted it with too many drunken college memories for it to be a pleasant experience to wear on any occasion other than going for a night out, haha! I may have found a new favorite. Smelling Donna transports me to an iris garden in the courtyard of a lavish, Victorian-era Italian villa. And that bottle…to die for.

This would be the perfect perfume to wear or recieve on Valentine’s day. It’s a romantic, modern and non-heady rose with patchouli.
Has a beautiful vintage lipstick opening with that cold but cozy iris that lingers well into the heart phase. Sort of feels like you are surrounded by sweet cupcakes and roses in this mid phase.
The dry down reveals a slightly brightened patchouli with lime with a freshened baby rose.
Has great phases. It’s so brilliantly constructed and lasts all day. I would wear this not only in the fall & winter. I will wear it in the spring & summer too. Signature material and a great year-round perfume.

I love Valentino Donna it’s been a staple in my wardrobe for the past few years. I find it to be a great lipstick perfume. It smells like a mixture of a suede purse, raspberries, and vintage lipstick. I definitely smell the iris and the rose is soft and sweet. It’s Airy sweet lightly powdery. It has great longevity and sillage remains a nice fluffy cloud around your personal space. I can smell this perfume every time I walk or move my hair. It’s elegant. I find that it has depth even though it’s not heavy. From all the lipstick perfumes I’ve tried this seems to be the best. Im in love with it.

I don’t usually wear EDT but this didn’t seem to have an EDP version. I’ve been wearing this as my day time/work fragrance for a couple of weeks and I am really enjoying it. It grows on me as time goes on. Initially I felt the longevity was poor but the more I wear it, the more my skin holds onto the scent for a longer period. I’ve noticed this with other EDT’S as well. It’s a pink scent as someone mentioned in another review – it’s comforting, sweet without being annoying and warming. It settles into an interesting powdery/leathery smell that is barely there – in a nice way. Stays on clothes/scarves for days which I really like. I only have the 30ml and would probably purchase this again. For me, this scent is for day time. It’s a much needed contrast to the days I wear deeper scents like Tom Ford’s Oud Wood. It’s getting closer to spring and I’m enjoying this lighter fragrance!

THis perfume makes a good option for an elegant sophisticated lady, who is sweet, clean, nice, calm, elegant; not for loud personalities!
    Romantic powdery
    Sillage and longevity: good

Love this perfume. I find it rather beautiful and sophisticated. It has everything I want from a perfume . It has a softness and yet an earthiness appeal to it. Highly feminine and sensual. This perfume as been blended to perfection. I just love wearing it, especially when going out in the evening. Highly recommended.

I blind bought this perfume and I wonder how the heck this was branded “powdery”? Powdery for me is like L’instant or Valentina Poudre. Leather is detectable but very faint:(. Vanilla is also subtle which is a good thing though. Vanilla seems to be everywhere lately and I’ve started to grow weary of it.
This is a lovely floral, slightly fresh, slightly warm, a tad sweet, a tad sour. There is a little of everything in a very well balanced mix. Classy, modern and grown-up, but I feel let down because I was looking for a powdery / leathery winter scent. The pyramid made me think that this is a floral with a twist but it is just a floral (a good one that is).
Long lasting even on the skin. More suitable for the warmer months.

This is one of my favourite perfumes! Floral, powdery, somewhat sweet, elegant. Nice sillage and longevity, especially on clothes – it lasted more than one month on a handkerchief! I can feel the rose mostly (my favourite rose out of all of them), then the iris, some leather, some slight vanilla (which is not too sweet, thankfully). It’s definitely not fit for a casual/sporty/tomboy look. The lasting power is fantastic on skin too – after 9 hours and 2 puffs on my chest, I still smell it! The testers at the stores were more bitter than the bottle I got, because of that it took me a lot of time to decide whether I really want to purchase this or not, but I’m very positively surprised! Very beautiful fragrance! Will repurchase!

I have promissed myself no more perfume buying until I have finished at least 4-5 bottles of the ones I have but wearing this perfume makes me break all of my promisses. Why do you do this to me Valentino ? I have had a penchant for this fragrance from quite a while now and I use my samples whenever I want to smell this stunning gem on my skin but instead of being satisfied with my samples it’s turning into an unhealthy obsession.
I have recently come to the conclusion that iris and leather are some of my favourites notes. They appear together in another composition I adore – Iris Prima Penhaligon’s which is more like dry leather, powdery iris and musky, not so much of sweet notes. In this fragrance on the other hand Iris and leather are hand in hand with vanilla and rose which make the composition sweeter and more flowery, a true “pink” scent. The perfume is delicate and discreet and very romantic. It’s very long lasting and I can catch wafts of it all day long. It’s such a comforting scent…
I have to wait and see if I’m going to be able to resist this Christmas from buying this astonishing perfume although the temptation is huge.

It is a beautiful, sweet, deep perfume, but on my skin it’s really weak. To me it’s a really nice, innocuous office scent.
However, my flatmate says it’s quite pungent.

I never thought that this perfume would be my signature or favourite perfume. Before this my favourite is arden beauty but this one really into me. Personally I test many perfume that is floral fruity and lastly my husband agree with valentino donna. It smell sweet but not to sugary maybe because of its floral notes. it also has musk powdering smell too but so soft and smooth. I spritz strong only once and people try to find the smell. I will buy again this one if I have finish it.

Valentino Donna opens with a sweet, waxy iris that makes me think of the LVEB line (and no, I’m not one of those crazy people who think everything smells like LVEB). But there is also a juicy rose from the beginning on, and the developement of Donna is completely different from La Vie. It’s just the iris that’s similar at start.
Soon the iris becomes more powdery and violet-like, the rose takes the center stage and gets joined by leather and a gentle patchouli note. All the listed notes, except bergamot, are clearly there to my nose and blend to a beautiful and harmonious feminine fragrance that is classically floriental and elegant, but not old-fashioned.
Sometimes I’m afraid for a few seconds that the iris/rose/patchouli combo could get a bit sharp, but then I take a breath and get reminded that the leather and the slightly sweet vanilla are warm and intense enough to balance it all out to something well-blended and lovely that is neither too quiet, nor too loud.

This reminds me of the 90’s! Cute cute cute! I am slightly reminded of Femme Fatale Ciara…lovely powdery whimsical fragrance..
The bottle is darling and they paired the juice in pink that really matches the scent perfectly! I really don’t get leather here, all I get is floral vanilla pink fluffy powder dream…cuddles included! It really could be worn by any age…feminine pinky iris rose bouquet dusted with vanilla powder.
Pink powder puffs and a glass of rose champagne…

Beautiful and womanly….can be worn by any age group. I own a bottle and hubby always compliments me on this one. I find it a very linear scent, what you smell at the beginning is what you end up at the end but fainter. It’s a beautiful modern rose with vanilla and bergamot. After 15 minutes the iris and leather and patchouli show up and that’s how it stays till dry down. The patchouli is very mild and well blended. This frag is lightly powdery, stunning, girly, romantic, sweet but not in a sugar candy way. I’m always complimented on this one. Defo a head turner….what is it about men and vanilla???? Lasts on my skin all day until I shower the following morning. Love, love, love 🙂

Love it at its opening, reminds me of Lancome Hypnose Senses. Powdery but with sophistication. Later on it starts lacking the sophistication which I adore so much. I must agree with JuliaQueen’s review: ‘If you’re one to put the effort into doing your hair, makeup and putting on a cute outfit, this fragrance really pulls everything together. Smells a bit like makeup and pretty things.’ I see the fragrance like this as well. Rather mature scent, not too summery.

    – I have a perfume spray sample of the EDP sent with a purchase from Nordstrom, and had left it in a drawer with many others. After morning shower, reached in and picked out Valentino Donna, and Ooo-La-La! Was I in for a surprise! Very smooth and elegant, and after about 10 hours the dry down is even lovelier than the initial spray. Very good juice, low key and not trying to fill a room. I can’t stop sniffing my wrists, it’s that lovely. Must purchase!!!

  42. :

This was a recent blind buy for me. After the first spray I thought that it can’t be any sweeter. When I survived the initial way-over-the-top sweetness – chypre came in, just a bit sharp,a little bitter and I would say even classy. Retro rose? Maybe, in a softer kind of way. Oddly it reminds me in a way of recently tested Bibliotheque by Byredo. If you are not a fan of too sweet fragnances spray Donna only on your skin and avoid getting it on your clothes – drydown is an absolute beauty.
Longetivity 8/10. At least 8 hours on my skin. Days on clothes.

I don’t know… there’s something kind of cool and clever lurking around in Valentino Donna, like one of those girls who pretends to be just like all the others for the sake of not being hassled.
But deep down she’s a rebel.
On the surface Valentino Donna is basically La Vie Est Belle: a pretty, sweet iris covered in vanilla and gourmand niceties.
But the more you smell it, the more you start to notice it’s a little rough around the edges, a little less sweet than you initially thought.
In it’s top notes it’s surprisingly close to the fresh tobacco iris of Dior Homme, and while it develops you catch some bitter notes amid the fruity sweetness that kind of make me think of green leathery chypres like Farenheit and Panthere.
In the drydown I finally saw what made me like this fragrance all along: the base of this perfumes borrows not so much from the sugary coumarin-praline of La Vie Est Belle, but from the patchouli-musk accord that made perfumes like Narciso Rodriguez and Lovely so attractive and memorable.
Basically, this is a perfume for sharp-witted, sly young ladies: if you plan on using your intelligence as a weapon, Valentino Donna is your battle cry.

I LOVE this fragrance. This is a warm, sweet, powdery, feminine scent. This lasts for so long. This fragrance is so empowering and makes me feel beautiful and confident. If you’re one to put the effort into doing your hair, makeup and putting on a cute outfit, this fragrance really pulls everything together. Smells a bit like makeup and pretty things.

The opening is a sweet green rose -imagine candied rose petals, but fresh petals as opposed to dry ones-
To my nose, the inclusion of iris is a missed opportunity to render this fragrance some elegance, as it is overpowered by the sugar.
I perceive a very faint leather note that attempts to anchor Valentino Donna at the drydown,
but on my skin, the drydown is all just cotton candy.
I find this a pretty / cute fragrance, but I can’t associate cotton candy with sophistication.

I feel both elegant and sexy wearing this. My man loves it on me and always says “you smell nice!” The mixture of the leather and vanilla together is heavenly. My favourite fragrance and will continue to be.

This perfume is the embodiment of elegance and sophistication. Just fabulous.
Staying power is impressive. Sprayed it yesterday at 6 pm. It’s 12 noon now and I can still detect it on my arm.
    Perfectly done all around.

I love the powdery rose in this perfume. It is not dry rose petals, but rose oil essence, so tasty, comforting, gentle and classy. You can dress this perfume up and down, it is versatile and beautiful. Longevity on my skin is about 5h, then it dries down to vanilla and powder. On clothes and hair it lasts several days. This perfume is so simple in notes and yet there is nothing simple about it. No.1 in my fragrance wishlist! Well done, Valentino.
PS To some people this fragrance will smell like Barbie dolls, so just make sure to test before purchase

this really sounds like a description of Kelly Caleche edt. is there any similarity between Donna and KC? I’d love to feel the Kelly Caleche leathery rose turning a bit more into a violet note…

At first very, very sweet. Vanilla, floral, feminine, vintage. This is rather for woman, than teen. I don’t know what perfumes wore Audrey Hepburn time women, but I can imagine them using this. My nose might not be that good and if I wouldn’t read that there is rose I probably wouldn’t even guess that. On my skin this is just sweet candy vanilla with chemical background. Where is that rose hiding under all those vanilla sweet layers? Very sweet, but after 15 minutes it becomes somewhat bearable. You might love this if you are looking for vintage sweet vanilla perfume for woman.

One of my signatures for sure.
Florals with vanilla make it feel warm and creamy, while bergamot injects some freshness to it. It’s mellow, feminine and soft, warm and gentle. This is so comforting
