Uomo is unserious, with bright projection and powerful burning, but worn in a hot weather! Otherwise it smells like a cheapy. Ho,ho,ho on the other side Uomo Absolute hit you in a very elegant, quite serious way. At first there are similarities, but Absolut puts somehow a metal filter on Uomo and processes the substances. For a cold, formidable businessman who comes from the south but travels to meet someone in the Alps. Uomo just says: “go south, south and near the salt to feel me”. The Absolute will keep you cold and formal many hours till the moment you near the camin.

In a similar vein as Guerlain Homme Intense and maybe Dunhill Icon Elite, with a fresh feel, but a bit darker maybe? I’ll try and do a proper review later, but since I dont have either of the other two, I’m happy with this one to fill that category.

I believe if this was a private blend of Tom Ford it would be with Tuscan Leather,Tobacco Vanille, Neroli Portofino and Noir de Noir in the best sellers. It yells Classy even if you’re in t-shirt, jeans and Sunglasses.

Rich and sophisticated, projects like a beast.
The only frag with strong amber and cardamon accords that doesn’t bother me yet. I am so sorry and I was totally wrong about this one on the first try. It’s spicy, rich, and sophisticated, which is acutally a pleasant and sexy scent.
The opening is a minty bergamot upon the boozy amber, and then devolops into a smooth vetiver based vanilla with a tricky cardamon. The vetiver is not earthy or dirty in here, and the amber is throughout the whole time.
Both longevity and projection are excellent. It projects in the first 3-5 hours and then turns into a skin scent for another 12+ hours, which is notable that it can lasts 2-3 days on clothes while the temperature goes down to 55- degree fahrenheit.Rating: 8.0/10

Very pleasant and balanced mix of citrics, vetiver and some florals notes in the opening. As it reachs the drydown a soft musk (mixed with the vanilla I guess) enters the game cutting down the citrics and adding a sweet touch to the formula.
Although there are quite few notes in the composition, the most prominent one on this fragrance is a semi bright/fresh/minty (and quite artificial) vetiver for most of its life… nevertheless if you are into woodsy notes you’ll be pleased with this one.
Longevity is moderate but nothing spectacular and projection is average too.
I bought it beacuse I was looking for a woodsy vibe but I’d strongly recommend it as I see it pleasant and innofensive.

Really TRY this one its like an old fashion perfume so masculine and so attractive the amber smells son pure and crystaline i dont know if in the USA is, so if you have the oportunity to try this and buy it dont wait, the longevity its really good i get easily like 9hrs and proyection are super good this perfume is perfect when you go out for a date in a fancy restaurant or classy bar i imagine Don Drapper (Mad Men) using this.

Im from México city and here are not all the variety of niche fragrance that i want to get but thats not the point, so before christmas i went to the mall and stops in Liverpool and Palacio de Hierro (Like Macys and Bloomingdales in USA) so in this two stores gave me a sample of Ermenegildo Zegna Uomo Absolute and in the first i didnt shown much interest just because i was thinking to get Michael Kors men, well the thing is that after 2 hours this gem showed his whole beauty, i felt in love the notes are so natural and addictive so after a month i went and get this one but the problem its that the lady in the fragrance department told me that its a limited edition (let me say that in the box i saw that this fragrance its made in switzerland) and i didnt believe in the first time because in someplaces its just an old trick to get the sale, well i search online and the only place that i found it was in sephora germany so its weird and that convince me to buy it.
the problem its that i really love this frgrance i paid $950 pesos mexicanos (like $68usd) for the 50 ml. (1.7oz) and my memory try to remember or try to get a perfume that smells exactly or well try very close imitate this so please fragrantica community HELP ME to get one if my bottle gone.

I sprayed this on a card and fell in love with scent. I kept thinking of how wonderful this scent was and for a week I kept sniffing the card.
I then forgot about the card in my car one day and noticed that my car was smelling like Zegna. I pulled the card out, sniffed again, and the scent was still on there! It had managed to make my car smell like it too!!
This is such a sexy scent on a man whoa it’s just insane. Spicy, acidic, smooth. Yum. Power scent.
Great longevity also. I’m still sniffing this!!! The card has been everywhere and it still projects!! I’m definitely going to purchase this just to keep smelling it unsure if as I female I will be able to get away with wearing it but I’m going to be happy to have it.

A truly great perfume, a great improvement on last year’s Uomo. This one has a very similar smell but is darker and sweeter, the aquatic vibe is replaced by spices and vanilla embracing the violet woodyness of last year’s version delivering a smoother feeling. On the other hand, projection and longevity are incredible. It’s a quality product for sure. Great buy for the colder months.
