Today’s word of the day is “subjective”.
I blind bought this because my bottle of Le Monde Est Beau was stolen a few years ago and I was heartbroken that someone would steal it. So sad, in fact, that the thought of replacing it made me melancholy. This does not remind me of LMEB at all, the Kenzo is not rosy, powdery or waxy/lipsticky to my nose. My memory of LMEB is citrusy, vetiver, woods and white blossoms that are blooming on a summer breeze.
Un Air D’Habanita does remind me of two other beauties in my stash that are rosy, lipsticky/waxy powdery that you may also have in your stashes… Drole de Rose and Lipstick Rose. Not dupes by any measure, but kissing cousins without a doubt. Perhaps you don’t have a powdery/lipsticky rose in your stash? In that case, by all means grab it. If you have LR or DdR you may want to sample this as opposed to adding this to your collection. IMO this more of an autumnal vibe fragrance than LMEB.
Like I said in my introduction, today’s word of the day is “subjective”.

I love using this as an after shower body spray. Two sprays is all it takes.
It is such a crisp and clean scent, a sweet citrus opening that is soft and pleasant, not sour or sharp. It is like white-bright sunlight – it beams and warms and is invigorating. It doesn’t have the depth or complexity other Habanita’s do but it is well-blended and unique.
It makes me feel clean, awake, warm and uplifted.

This reminds me of the way that Habanita wafts, the way that it makes me feel: elegant, somewhat cool and mysterious, refined, and completely in control.
Sure, I’m sitting at my kitchen table in sweats and a crop top, but I feel elegant, somewhat cool and mysterious, etc. etc.

Who would have thought Habanita enjoys gardening as a hobby?
I have never worn Habanita and therefore may not be
“qualified” to give my opinion on whether both fragrances share similarities. But the truth is, I think they do.
Although they have a totally different feel, UAdH has something in its base that is reminiscent of Habanita’s sultriness. Fuzzy, thick and warm.
But while this base evokes in Habanita a combination of smoke, warm skin and perfume, in UAdH it takes you to a garden on a summer morning.
Not a perfect garden with plenty of splendid dewy flowers right after sunrise, no. It is a garden where flowers, vegetables and fruits grow side by side in harmony, at the exact moment when the relative coolness of the summer night gives way to the first hot sun rays.
The blackcurrant leaf (one of my favorite notes !) imparts a
marked aromatic feel to the composition. I was actually surprised when I found out there is no basil, tomato leaf or mint listed.
The citrus notes are easy to detect, but they are neither sharp nor fizzy. Subdued, round and slightly sweet is how I would describe them.
The floral notes are very subtle and more in the background.
I would say that the sillage is somewhere between moderate and heavy, depending on how much you use, and it has good staying power on my skin, about 4-5 hours.
One last thing, if you like Kenzo Le Monde est beau, you should try this one out. UAdH is not as strong, green and complex, but it gives you the same “I am sharing a blissful moment with nature” feeling.

Just as Habanita said not to compare with the original. I love this. It is a very fresh grapefruit and rose scent. In the topnotes the scent starts with the cassis leaf, sweet and fruity. the drydown gets a bit powdery with the osmanthus but not much.
For me it is a nice spring and summer scent. I find it easy to wear

To me this had nothing to do with Habanita. I thought it to be a lighter Habanita version, but it’s actually more a sharp citrusy scent, even a little acquatic. You can smell the grapefruit and cassis clearly. Then the drydown was also too masculine for me. Not my cup of tea.
