Love at first sniff. I was blown away by how good this smells. Layered with Molecule01, this thing lasted 10+ hours on my skin. amazing!!!

This is a like and not a love….yet.
I swear, I do this to myself all the time….Test perfumes on a tester card and then make my judgements, rather than wearing the fragrance first, and then coming to a conclusion.
On paper, this stuff is pretty one dimensional….Amber and a little patchouli. Thats it. It’s very sweet with an earthy undertone. Nothing special.
Well, I wore this today for the first time.
Right off the bat I was catching whiffs. I smelled the sweetness, I smelled the hint of patchouli, and I also caught a glimpse of vanilla to give this a whole new dimension.
I literally smelled this ALL DAY. The whiffs never stopped. This stuff is a powerhouse of a fragrance.
Im still on the fence. This is absolutely something you haven’t smelled before.
    Intriguingly unique.

Niche style ambroxan pleaser. A sweeter and more mature L’homme ultime DNA with the rose/ambrox combo supported by tons of vanilla and patchouli to increase the maturity level. Modern, sexy, crazy complements magnet and extremely smooth.

The first time I sniffed through YSL’s Le Vestiaire des Parfums, I knew immediately that Tuxedo was the shining star! Honestly, there is a good chance that most niche lovers will find at least one perfume from that line which really resonates with them; I think it’s a strong collection due to entries such as Caftan, Caban, Trench, Velours, and arguably more. My colleagues are blown away by Tuxedo in much the same way they felt about Aventus and Tuscan Leather! I’m going to have fun making them pick between some serious legends and Tuxedo.
Sweet amber patchouli infused with light, juicy floral touches and soft spices. The YSL website describes it as “smoked patchouli blended with ambergris accord.” It has a lush opening which is a bit “fruity” if I may say so. It settles into a quite memorable sweet patchouli musk with subtle spice. We may have a bit of a masterpiece on our hands here I daresay!
I would definitely recommend sampling Ramon Monegal’s Mon Patchouly if you are especially fond of YSL’s Tuxedo and vice versa.

This fragrance is fast becoming my favourite from Yves Saint Laurent’s La Vestiaire des Parfums line and one that I often wear when I’m suited and booted.
Tuxedo is a stunning fragrance that evokes pure sensuality that makes the wearer feel at one with his mind and body in its purest form possible. A brightly elegant aroma with a sense of bravado about it. Reminiscent of the swagger that the The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger so often awakened in many of his on stage performances. Rough, tough and full of sensual energy.

    Boozy yet so classy!
Loving this and performance is not bad on my skin on a hot weather. It’s a crowd pleaser too.
Hope to find another 2015 backup bottle soon.

YSL Tuxedo is lovely, the amber makes it so rich, calm and classy. It’s a bit masculine. I will give it a 10/10.

Tuxedo is a very good fragrance to my nose. It’s has a few of the notes I really like, all blended well in a gorgeous bottle. Patchouli, Violet leaf, Vanilla, Coriander, Black pepper, rose, Bergamot, and Amber. Ambergris was listed in the notes but all I smell is Amber which are totally different things; nonetheless beautiful Amber. These are all perfectly blended but I pick up the Violet leaf and light Patchouli in the opening. They hung in through the mid and dry down but the Vanilla and Amber, came out smoothly as it becomes a skin scent. Projects for about 2 hrs but not a loud performer. A versatile choice for high-end and laid back scenerios; a six hour pleasant affair with a fragrance aptly named Tuxedo

    Tuxedo: a near perfect scent.
A warm, slightly spicy (very slightly) mix of perfection: sweetened patchouli, ambergris and vanilla. It’s quite simply a stunner. It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful concoctions I’ve had the opportunity to wear over my 10+ years of fragrance collecting. This is what all of the fragrances like MMM jazz club, Bentley absolute – wish they could be. My recommendation is this: if you like warm, slightly sweet, velvety scents – save your money and buy this one. My words can’t do it justice – but this is about as close as one gets to perfection.

If MFK Rouge 540 & Ambre Nuit had a love child this would be it.
The base reminds me of raspberry vanilla ice cream.

I adore this stuff – I always loved the tea note from GUCCI Pour Homme 2 abd to me, this has that accord with the most beautiful patchouli, amazing stuff.

I received a sample today and the first note I picked up was patchouli. In fact it reminded me very much of the patchouli in Gucci absolute. As it progressed I began to find similarities with tom ford noir.
As a man I was a little worried about the fact that it is unisex but did not find any issues and in fact found similarities with more masculine fragrances.
I would have to agree with most others in that this is a very pleasant fragrance that I think most will find it hard to dislike. I also agree with others that this seems to be very well made and the quality is evident.
In my opinion, tom ford noir with a spin with the patchouli, amber and vanilla being most notable in this.

This is some classy stuff! Somehow it manages to maintain a balance of both lite/fresh and spices.
It has body, yet not heavy, not feminine which I was afraid of even though it’s name says otherwise.
I was afraid of finding patchouli and vanilla making it cloying but it is not.
A little goes a long way. This the kind of scent that adds confidence.

This falls in the category of Amouage Reflection man to me, just a tiny bit more citrusy and spicy smell

My favorite fragrance from YSL thus far (I own l’homme, la nuit, M7 absolute.) It’s so well blended and balanced I’m having a hard time picking out individual notes but I think I get the patchouli, pepper, violet leaves and ambergris. 12+ hours of overall performance and 6 or 7 feet of projection and sillage. I can’t wait to try the other scents from the Le Vestiaire des Parfums line.

What an amazing magical fragrance. I get so many different notes its hard to put my finger on “what stands out”. I get a real creamy boozy vibe that turns into this sweet spicy amber scent. Omg it’s something special… BUT for the price, I think there’s better choices out there. Do I like it? Yes! Do I love it? Ehh?! Is it FBW? AT THAT PRICE NO WAY!

I never would have thought I was a YSL kinda girl. I’ve never been interested in trying or wearing one but this is delicious! Warm, comforting, spicy…just heavenly. It lasts a very long time and it’s truly great from the top notes to the drydown.
There is nothing wrong with this perfume, and everything right.

On first sniff, this fragrance reminded me strongly of another fragrance but I could not put my finger on it. Then after looking at the notes and doing some research, it hit me, Dior’s Midnight Poison. I think it’s the shared notes of Patchouli, Rose and Vanilla that remind me so much of MP. Either way, a great fragrance all around.

Wow! My nose definitely picks up the Lavender Leaf and the Coriander too. Im not picking up very much patchouli .. well I guess I can sense it just a little. This is a great fragrance for its very well BLENDED and smells so debonair. Ideally, this would be a great formal wear and evening scent. I also can imagine this scent on a woman too tho it’s masculine but it’s sweet enough for the lady’s skin. As someone mentioned, this is Gucci Pour Homme II but darker, denser and more refined with a more complex blend. Overall Rating: 10/10

If you take a shower and spray some on…make sure you drink some Red Bull. Your partner will be all over you……yuuuup.
    On a serious note…
I own several niech fragrance’s and this fragrance is up there as far as aroma and quality notes goes! When I spray it on my skin, I don’t have to wait for aroma to settle before the essence of fragrance makes it’s appearance. You almost have a sex in a bottle. The aroma of Patchouli has a very deep woodsy/spicy notes come together giving it a appealing allure. Ambergris and the vib of amber gives it a rich sweet creamy undertone adding to this very luxurious and elegant fragrance. There’s a smig of lavender and or violet leafs adding some zest to the rich aroma.
Longevity and Silage is excellent lasting well past 8hrs
    I have no regrets…it’s worth it!!!! 10/10

Really liking this scent, very nicely done all round.
Initially when i first smelt this scent i was reminded of something familiar but i could not put my finger on it at the time, after buying and wearing for the first time i was still convinced it was slightly familiar and eventually the penny dropped. This scent is very reminiscent of Valentino Uomo mixed with a hint of YSL M7 and well in to the dry down you get faint blasts of what i can only describe as Prada Luna Rosa.
This scent is pretty much a mix and mash of the best bits i like of all three scents rolled in to one.
Longevity is pretty good i’m 8+ hour on my skin but it does go more toward a skin scent toward the end of the day.
I feel protection is quite good for the first 5+ hours.
Worth buying in my opinion. The others in the collection i am yet to try.

This is the superior darker Gucci Pour Homme II . On me I get 6-7 hours and the dry down is heaven. Settles to a clean, sweet spice. Impressed and so were others. If you want compliments this is the one. Huge fan. Even if I’m not, it just makes me feel like I’m in a Tuxedo .

This is a fresh spicy fragrance on the drier side… Not very sweet with very little warmth/amber; I’m surprised that’s what other people got. To me it’s a little screechy and incomplete, something on the lower end of niche

The only niche or private line fragrance I’ve bought.
I must be crazy because I don’t get patchouli at all. To me, this is a sweet, almost gourmand-like fragrance. I had a sample of both this and Feve Delicieuse, and it was in the same creamy ballpark as Feve. The sales girl was adamant there’s no tonka in this, but gee you could have fooled me. And there’s something in common too with the immensely cheaper CK Euphoria: perhaps it’s the sweet sticky texture, and maybe some note that I can’t quite put my finger on.
Anyway, the reason I bought it was because it does what I want for a romantic date or even post-date cuddle fragrance: it has a slight femininity, it intrigues you into wanting to smell more of it, and it rewards you for doing so with its complexity (in that you can’t, or at least I can’t, pin it down to one single note). All the while, it retains a certain luxurious quality. I see this as a Valentines’s Day or anniversary fragrance where you show someone you’re important to them, rather than a first date where you’re more trying to grab their attention or show you’re the man.
It has a low sillage but it lasts long enough. Again, that suits me for a romantic fragrance. *Update*: I change my mind on that. I did one spray on the chest and it projected loudly.
Is it worth the money? No. Am I glad it’s in my collection? Yep.

Tuxedo is maybe the most spectacular creation in the Le Vestiaire des Parfums. More masculine to my nose. It starts off with a noteworthy cacao note mixed with tonka and berries that give a “boozy” whiskey effect. In the dry down it becomes more rounded smelling like a 95% copy of Rochas Desir Pour Homme. If you haven’t tried Desir the closer alternative will be Gucci Pour Homme II with cacao. The smell is beautiful and will surely be the star of the collection.

“A spicy unisex scent that blends the matte texture of smoked patchouli with ambergris accord to express a magnetic and dark sex appeal. The sharp black pepper enhanced with the freshness of cardamom mirrors the satin stripe that runs along the seam of the trousers and the lapels of the jacket.”

Wore it last week in Milan, and to be honest, all of the fragrances in this collection are beautifully made, very classy and natural smelling, obviously Tuxedo was my favourite, since to my nose, was the most dense and rich from the bunch.
I have to clarify that I do not smell the patchouli, but a very nice, slightly sweet amber with fine spices, very very nice indeed.
I will have to wear it a few more times to decide whether I pull the trigger for a full bottle (EU 240 / 125ml).
Longevity & projection are just average, at least on my dry skin.
    UPDATE 01/12/2015
I gave it 2 more chances, and I have to say that I really enjoy it, but due to its short longevity on my skin (4 hours) I will be getting it over a split. Please try them on your skin before judging these fragrances. They are all majestic, but if they do not last, I see no point in buying them considering their price tag.

An evening cologne! This could be layered with another from the same Le Vestiaire des Parfums Collection. Would definitely give this (and Caftan) a trial!
