I don’t get tart, zesty, zingy, sweet, fresh, or sugary like the other reviewers. All I get is bitterness. It reminds me of an old high school chemistry lab, which is a shame because I love blood oranges.

Sweet and sharp, like a real sweet orange. Sadly, no lasting power.

It smells sweet, sticky and refreshing all at the same time. This is a real tangy orange scent. Very simple a smell. For me, it smells like it has a touch of mango as well. Doesn’t last long but is delicious

Love me some Orange Perfumes! This one to me smells like the Orange Tic Tacs 🙂

This is a very nice orange, especially for the price. It smells tart and dry like a blood orange specifically too, not like a miscellaneous orange cleaner smell. You get more of a plasticky strawberry note in the base, but it’s pleasant and interesting in my opinion. Blood Orange is a happy, energizing scent, really good for groggy mornings and probably layering. I think for the price point, this is a great alternative to niche citruses ala Atelier. The quality is more on par with the fruity offerings of Victoria’s Secret sprays, but this shouldn’t be dismissed if you’re looking for a basic orange scent. Like others have said, this doesn’t last very long but at least it’s affordable.
EDIT: Smells like orange sorbet to me today.

This is actually a bit herbaceous, bitter and spicy, not-overly-sweet, and features hints of soap and powder all overlaid on a bed of lemongrass and orange zest. It is much less refreshing–albeit more complex–than I’d expected it to be.
Some minor notes of strawberry and raspberry do peek through after the opening, though, lending an uplifting fruity quality the overall citrus accord lacks.
To be fair, it is cold and snowy at present in my city and this fragrance may require the warmth of spring and summer to truly “blossom.”

I blind bought this spray perfume on sale at Ulta for $11 and I am not disappointed!
This opens with a hint of strawberry but then it smells like the flesh of the fleshiest, sweetest, juciest blood orange and grapefruit which slowly morphs into an Orange Starburst and then into an Orange Popsicle.
This perfume is delicious! Perfect for hot days at the beach, sipping sangrias and watching the world go by.

I have this in the roller ball and putting this on inn the middle of the day is such a great way to re-energize. It wakes you up with a crisp zesty orange burst. Out reminds me of the first peel of an orange. Doesn’t last long but i don’t mind reapplying

  9. :

Very nice if you like blood orange. I actually find it sort of similar to their guava scent. It’s beautiful and youthful and just perfect for a summer excursion. I can see it as a wear to Disneyland type scent because it’s so fun. Does not last long at all though, especially the rollerball.

  10. :

    5 out of 5

This is a sweet, youthful, energizing scent. It’s innocent enough for a teen or tween, but compliments many other frags nicely. Like most citruses the top note fades away quickly. I keep the rollerball in my purse and it’s a nice pick-me-up throughout the day.

  11. :

Nothing offensive here, but it’s hard for me to find the orange.

  12. :

Sickly sweet orange/strawberry. Smells pretty synthetic to me.

  13. :

    3 out of 5

Sweetest, juiciest, ripest and most authentic orange scent out there. Moderate sillage but pretty poor longevity, you’ll want to layer up with the matching body oil or lotion. This is a perfect spring and summer scent, but I wear it year round because the scent really is truly such a mood booster.

  14. :

    4 out of 5

This is my daily scent. I layer the body butter, hand lotion and body oil. It is the best scent I have ever found for improving my mood and for layering. The bonus is that the products actually work well, and smell great!

  15. :

This is very natural and wearable for a fruit scent, and I’d seriously consider getting this if it lasted longer. It starts off smelling like orange juice and berries, and ends smelling mostly like fresh berries and soap. The berry smell is natural, and smells like real fruit. the soap smell is so subtle that I wonder if I’m imagining it- this soft clean scent like a lightly scented bar of white soap from the drugstore, nice and clean, but soft and subtly scented. Unfortunately this only lasts about an hour on me.

My second time I buy this perfume! Love it, very fresh, hint of sweetness, and most importantly I never get tired of this fruity smell!

  17. :

    4 out of 5

I also got a true orange scent out of this, without cleaner notes or strawberries. It smells like a deep red orange, exactly like the flesh of blood orange. It fades super fast, which is disappointing, but it’s cheap so it’s worth the price to have to reapply all day. Fresh, bright, mood lifting. I definitely like this one

Gosh – I just got this yesterday and took it for a test ride today (in the solid). I love citrus scents so had high hopes but this is so sweet on me! It’s quite ‘juicy’ doesn’t dry down bitter at all (like i’ve noticed some others noting). I was sitting on the bus the night before and someone behind me was chewing Hubba Bubba strawberry gum and this to me smells EXACTLY like it. Lasts quite a while. Of these fruity, citrus scents i much prefer the Brazilian grapefruit mango.
EDIT: I have been layering this with the Malibu lemon and it’s not bad (punches up the citrus for me but i don’t get any of the Malibu “soap”).

    <—— BIG Pacifica fan.
This smells like you just plucked and orange from a tree–peeled it and ate it in the groove! You can smell the leaves , stems, rind, peel , etc. !
TRULY the best ORANGE SCENT available!
    * It does NOT smell like orange oil / orange cleaner at all ! REJOICE ! *
Longevity is pretty good by Pacifica standards. I get whiffs a few hours later. (This and their Gardenia seem to have the longest longevity out of all their frags)
    Cool & fresh & a great summer picker-upper!!!!!!!
This once screams out “Layer with me , baby!”

The sweetest, juiciest orange fragrance I’ve ever tried! It reminds me of orange flavored Fanta. I think it best suits the heat of summer, it’s a nice zesty & energizing scent that seems to perk me up every time I sniff it! I get tons of citrus with some raspberry in the background, adding sweetness. It’s actually quite tart when I smell it right from the bottle, but it’s quite nice! Sometimes, I carry the rollerball just to smell it when I crave the invigorating scent of Tuscan Blood Orange!~
    Longevity: 2 hours
    Sillage: Soft

  21. :

Very sweet and tart. Actually gives me a headache every time I give it another hopeful try.

  22. :

    3 out of 5

This perfume smells amaaazing at first, like a blast of tangy orange, but I was very quickly disappointed. The orange dissappears in about one minute flat and I’m left with a sweet strawberry (too sweet for me) smell that is also barely detectable.
I love the scent upon initial spray and I wish it would stick around. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this perfume because has absolutely no longevity so you have to use a TON of it. It’s basically a waste of money. This is really more like a body spray than a perfume.

  23. :

    4 out of 5

Smells EXACTLY like a juicy tangerine or mandarin orange, with the sweetness. Literally mouth-watering, and makes me crave oranges when I wear it. This is a perfect fragrance for spring and summer. I think it would be lovely paired with a nice vanilla. Unfortunately, on my skin, this lovely scent is short lived and the sillage, almost non-existant. This is the unfortunate downfall of this perfume. But I keep a roller-ball because I crave the scent at times.;)

Dang I wish Ulta would ship to Canada so I could get this more often!

I remember doing a blind buy on this fragrance, and it was a good one for keeping me energized, due to the fruity/citrus notes; I remember getting compliments on it. But it reminded me of the smell of Smarties candy…from the beginning to the end with no dimension on my skin, which wasn’t long (and yes, the Starburst/Life Savers candy were shaking in their “boots,” as it were, whenever I wore this). I gave it to my sister instead, who is a fan of big time fruity fragrances.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

I must be too old to appreciate this. I put some on my wrist (the roll-on version) and it was just really sickly sweet and cloying. I smelled more strawberry than orange, but blood orange is of course a lot sweeter than regular ones.
It overpowered the other stuff I was trying – EDPs and all! LOL. Almost couldn’t get it off when I got home.

  27. :

    5 out of 5

My favorite scent from Pacifica! I smell strawberry the most, then citrus. It’s not too sweet actually, it’s more like fresh fruity smell.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

This is pure a super sweet citrus scent without the sharp tanginess of actual citrus. It makes me feel nauseous how sweet it is.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

This reminds me of red kool-ade and I mean that in the nicest possible way. 🙂 It’s juicy, it’s red fruit + rich (sweet, not tangy) orange, and it’s delightfully uncomplicated. Unfortunately, it has the crappiest sillage and longevity of any scent I own.
When garbage in my hot/humid country hasn’t been picked up for a few weeks, a daub of the solid perfume underneath my nose helps make shopping at the market bearable.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

It is what it says it is – orange. As someone mentioned earlier, it is certainly on the sweet side of orange because of the addition of red fruits. Not very long-lasting, but I really use it as more of a pick-me-up anyway. I definitely prefer Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine, which is unfortunately much more expensive. If you are a fan of Orange Sanguine, I don’t think this will satisfy you – it’s not the same type of orange (OS is spicier), though still a lovely bargain scent. I doubt I’ll repurchase, but I will enjoy my rollerball until it’s used up.

I just layered Lush Dirty (solid) and Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange (solid) and the effect is amazing. If you like citrus-aromatics try using Dirty to add complexity to your summer citruses. The combo is refreshing yet sophisticated and the scent profile is like a classic, unisex European summer cologne.
Blood Orange on it’s own: linear; red fruit note ++ juicy orange note. On the sweet side of citrus. For me, pretty boring / not unique. Wouldn’t re-purchase. Thumbs up for cruelty-free status, cute little tin, and affordable price point.

  32. :

OMG Yumminess! Love it! Fresh and fruity sweet. Smells EXACTLY like the old school Body Shop fruit shaped soap bars from the 90s and transports me straight back to those pre teen days when TBS products were all the rage 🙂 IMO the best Pacifica yet!

  33. :

This smells like Sunny Delight! It’s much sweeter than blood orange — blood orange is extremely sour and a touch bitter. This smells like a much sweeter orange juice, to my mind just like Sunny Delight. If you like your orange very sweet then you’r probably love it. It’s very refreshing and lasts long for a citrus, a good wake up scent. But it’s not at all tart like you’d expect a blood orange scent to be. I think it would be better named “orange juice” rather than blood orange, it’s just not sour enough. If you’d like a more true undiluted blood orange note, I would suggest Atelier Cologne’s Orange Sanguine.

  34. :

Bitter orange peel over sweet orange candy, with a hint of raspberry and strawberry that add a wonderful juiciness. I smell green tea in this too, which keeps it from being too sweet. This fragrance smells EXACTLY like orange zinger tea!

  35. :

Juicy, tart, zesty oranges and lemons with a sprinkling of raspberry to sweeten the mix! This is a bright, cheerful fragrance. Smells so sunny that I can’t imagine anyone wearing this and being in a bad mood! I do not get any strawberry here, to me it’s strictly a fresh citrus scent with a bit of raspberry in the drydown. Winner!

Like Sherapop, I too am not a fruity floral nut, but I do appreciate Tuscan Blood Orange. However be warned, this fragrance is on the sweet side of things.
The opening of Tuscan Blood Orange struck me as being quite medicinal, like those orange flavoured cough drops I used to love as a child. Once settled, the scent was somewhere between an orange jellybean and an orange flavoured cordial. Very gourmand indeed.
I thoroughly enjoyed the blood orange note in Hugo Boss Deep Red, hence the reason why I tested Tuscan Blood Orange in the first place. The blood orange accord is definitely there, but rather than standing on its own, it is further supported by sweet orange, strawberry and raspberry.
The overall result is a conglomeration of candied fruit notes. I’d imagine it to be very popular amongst the younger crowd, especially seeing that it’s quite affordable.
Both the sillage and the longevity are excellent, surprising actually. Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange is any gourmand or fruity floral lover’s dream. I would recommend this fragrance for Spring and Summer wear.

Fresh-peeled orange is right! This is a wonderful summer fragrance by itself, and with a clove-heavy fragrance, this is great for fall / winter.
I think this is a great scent to give as a gift! I hope so, because I plan to buy a couple of sets for Christmas gifts! 🙂

This review is for the Tuscan Blood Orange body butter in a tube.
It is one of the most delicious orange scents I’ve ever smelled. It’s very cheerful and makes me smile. It reminds me of those tropical lifesavers flavors, I guess it was the tangerine or that creamy orange colored one. This is not a creamy scent though, but a bright and crisp orange, not sweet and cloying at all.
We are all about fragrance here, but in case anyone is wondering, the lotion is very nice and moisturizing. Not greasy or doesn’t get slick when you get your hands wet.
    Love it!

What a gorgeous mixture of orange notes with a touch of other fruits in the top. Energizing, fresh, juicy, sparkling, delicious. Amazing for such a modest drug store product; in fact amazing for any perfume at any price. It’s as if you cut open some exotic orange hybrid right under your nose, fruit and peel bursting into a mist just as you sniff.

It’s so nice and very natural smelling, this is one of my favorites of the Pacifica line. Fruity but not to sweet, very wearable and pleasant.

I tried several of Pacifica’s scents today and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Persian Rose, French Lilac and Mediterranean Fig were the others I tried, and I had a hard time deciding between Persian Rose and Tuscan Blood Orange — but I walked home with this one.
Tuscan Blood Orange is as exhilarating and uncomplicated as a glass of home-made orange juice that you drink with the scent of the peel still sticky on your fingers. All right, throw a couple of strawberries into a blender and make it a smoothie, and there you have it. It’s a casual, bright and fun thing to wear on hot summer days, and it’s good that it’s reasonably priced and that the bottle is a neat size to carry around, because the temptation to keep topping up the zesty hit of the top notes is nearly irresistible.
It retains some sillage and stays natural-smelling, pleasant and detectable for at least a couple of hours — honestly, for a citrus cologne type perfume, that’s not bad at all. As it started to fade, I layered it with a summery fig-orange scent — Benefit’s Lookin’ To Rock Rita — and that was happiness inducing, too.

I really like this. Just like their Brazilian Grapefruit Mango, this is along those same lines as a good pick me up for summer.

  44. :

Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange is fresh, crisp, and natural. Blood orange top notes, sweet orange, light mandarin, and subtle raspberry. Overall this is not a sugar sweet scent; it’s very naturally sweet which I love. Always getting compliments on this fragrance!

I wore this while vacationing in Bermuda. It is pretty and fresh and the graperfruit in the opening notes is very pure but it was a little boring. It’s a fun clean litte fragrance but nothing too special.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

This smells so good, but it’s so one-dimensional that I’m worried about smelling like air freshener.

  47. :

    3 out of 5

this is orange and sugary, it smelt like an Orange Smartie candy. I loved it but had no staying power so scratching it off my list.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

Sorry, I’m not trying to sound like a broken record, but this is not a one note wonder either… As described from Pacifica, “juicy and spicy Blood Orange is offset with subtle Strawberry and Raspberry notes and grounded in fleshy Mandarin and Italian Sweet Orange.”
My personal opinion on this fragrance, it’s really bright, fruity, and I enjoy it. I cannot claim that I am able to smell each type of orange Pacifica listed, but I can tell you what I did smell. True, when you first spray this on (my skin anyway) you smell only the spicy blood orange. In less than five minutes it does start to let the beautiful berry notes out to mingle too. I first smelled strawberries mixing with the blood orange, but then I did notice the raspberry note come into the mix. It seems like as the spicy part of the blood orange dies down, or maybe it’s a totally different type of orange taking it’s place, then the raspberry has room to come out and play. It’s a very realistic scent of both strawberry and raspberry; it doesn’t smell like someone sweetened them up with a cup of sugar or anything else for that matter. I’m really impresses with how spot on this fragrance is when it comes to the fruity notes actually smelly like you literally just cut into one at your kitchen counter! So, yes, I really do enjoy this fragrance.
That being said, I would only give it 4 out of 5 stars. The reason being the short staying power it had on my skin. I can maybe get 3 or 4 hours out of it on a good day. I also have to say, Pacifica’s fragrances are very reasonably priced, so if I have to refresh it throughout the day it’s not really a big deal. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fruity fragrances without any floral notes, enjoy!

So delicious! It smells like you just peeled an orange. Sadly, it hardly lasted 20 minutes on me though, it faded off very quickly to a faint fruity sweetness.

  50. :

    3 out of 5

I like this quite a bit. It’s a nice, slight sweet, very citrus scent. I’m not smelling any orange whatsoever. Any of the berry scents are non-existent. The commenter who said a ruby red grapefruit scent was spot-on for how this smells on me. I’m getting a TON of grapefruit & little else except a sweet, almost sugary scent. Not much spice. I do like it, but it is not what I expected.

My immediate first impression of this fragrance is Bubblicious gum. It’s bright, refreshing, fruity-sweet, and linear. Perfect for hotter days and easy to wear

I had the great pleasure of finding a selection of Pacifica Perfumes in a natural health food store.
I love Pacifica very much for the fact that they are a 100% cruelty free company. I was excited to try Tuscan Blood Orange on my skin! And let me say,it was delicious!
I love citrus scents, and this is very vivid. On first spray to the skin,it is very juicy and vibrant! It smells like fresh oranges, dark berries, plump summer strawberries, breezes of crisp air,and the tang of raspberry mandarin swirls delight!
I like to spray perfumes into my hair and on my skin, for a different perspective of notes singing. The chord comes, and here from my hair, the strawberries shine strong. Then an inhale of my inner arm,and my mind wonders if am in an orange grove!
I would have purchased this gorgeous perfume, but I only had $20 spending money. The price was $21 for the perfume(a great price for beautiful quality, and natural oils),but I needed to buy food. I might try on Amazon one day for the roll-on of it. :0)

I am surprised at how much I enjoy this one. I was expecting a basic, non-descript orange scent given the name, but this is certainly not. Pacifica’s website says there are notes of strawberry, raspberry, mandarin and Italian sweet orange in addition to the blood orange. Personally, I don’t smell any berries in this. For me, Tuscan Blood Orange actually smells like a gentle floral-orange-tea scent. It’s not overly sweet, but it is a hint spicy. Really lovely!

  54. :

    3 out of 5

This whole brand is wonderful and all of their scents are very refreshing, you are bound to find one you would like. I feel that they are like body sprays more so than perfumes but it gives this clean feeling as if you just bathed with a soap of this scent.
This particular one is quite sweet and cheery, I imagine it would be most suitable for summer days for someone with a boho lifestyle.

  55. :

    4 out of 5

Yummy, but fairly linear–which is okay if you like natural, juicy fresh scents. Pacifica’s website lists petitgrain and tangerine, which adds to blood orange’s slightly bittersweet roundness. This tends a little toward a ruby red grapefruit scent.
Recommended for layering if you want something a little more as this really is a pure, uplifting scent.

  56. :

I bought this blindly for $22. bit pricey for such a small bottle and kinda disappointed. It’s very citrusy but too much for my taste. Seemed strange when i first sprayed it because it smells more like an air freshener to me than something that can be sprayed on the body :/ .. Really strong orangey citrusy smell so if you like that then go for it. Though, it doesnt last very long to leave any other impression on me either.

  57. :

I’m sorry–this stuff is vile. I’m normally willing to say “different chemistry/different tastes/yada yada” but not this time. I’ve been to Italy many many times and I know and love blood oranges–this smells like orange koolaid. I’d like to think that the other off note I smelled was cumin, since then there would be at least one natural thing but I’m not sure. If you proceed with this and someone asks what you’re wearing, ask them if they know blood oranges. If they say yes, make something up–perhaps Eau de Faux.

Another wrist-sniffingly delicious fruit offering by Pacifica, TUSCAN BLOOD ORANGE smells truly swell! If I were a fruity-floral type, I’d be all over this line. The quality of the fruit notes in every one of these “perfumes” that I’ve tried is so much better than what is found in the vast majority of the “designer” fruity floral–to say nothing of the rich (in BHT) celebrity–scents I’ve tested over the past several months.
TUSCANY BLOOD ORANGE appears to have some kind of light florality along with the succulent oranges–could it be linden blossom? Anyway, whatever the other notes are, this smells great–for what it is. Not being a fruity fragrance type myself, I’ll probably use my rollerball for mood therapeutic purposes, as Bouquet suggests… (-:
Recommended for fruit lovers or anyone who wants to smell like a just-cut, ripe red orange! Yum!

candy-sweet, simple, drying down to a more bitter and complex but still very citrusy fragrance. my teenage son loves this perfume.

I bought perfumes directly from Pacifica and I got this soap as a gift. WOWSA! I can’t wait to get the perfume. It’s a juicy orange, but a little bit more like a blood orange creamsicle. My bathroom smells so good!

I have the solid perfume version. It’s fresh, clean and refreshing and one of the scents you cannot overdo even if you tried. One of the best citrus fragrances around.

Very sweet and sugary, like an orange cocktail. Refreshing and perfect for summer! Smells somewhat linear, but I discovered it is absolutely fantastic layered with Marc Jacobs Fig!! The green notes in MJ Fig temper the sweetness.

Smells like fresh sweet blood orange! Has an ernergizing feel to it! I just wish it lasted longer or maybe if it came in a roll on oil, I would buy that for sure!

it is quite rare to find a perfume that smells of ornages like this! unfortunately the scent doesn’t last too long… but it smells fabulous! it would make me sick however, so i gave it to my friend. nevertheless, perfect for a day outside in nice summer weather, or a morning brunch with family and friends !

  65. :

The first moments this perfume smelled like a candy shop! It reminded me most those sets of candied fruit and peel all mixed together — pineapple, mango, candied orange peel, of course. Very fruity, pretty sweet. In about 10 minutes it became a very natural smell of sweet mandarin, very similar to the gorgeous mandarins I had last year in Italy — yum!
But then it becomes flatter, a faint sweetness with a sour and bitter notes, in a citrusy way, but sour and bitter nonetheless.

This is a sweeter, juicy orange, so I would recommend it more for women, and it’s an enegizer and instant mood uplifter. Good to cheer you up on gloomy days.
