Description

Truth is an elegant perfume built on the contrast between the notes of cool, fresh grass and the warmth of woman’s skin. Simple and natural, clean and fresh, just like a brook among the fresh green summer grass. Main notes are bamboo, wet woods, white peony, vanilla, white amber and sandalwood. It was launched in 2000.
Here you can read our article’ Calvin Klein in step with time’. Truth was created by Alberto Morillas, Jacques Cavallier and Thierry Wasser.

I just picked this scent up from Walmart. It’s very like-able. I can see someone not gravitating to it, but I doubt anyone would be offended by it. It’s not for women who want to smell like cupcakes and turkish delight. It’s quite unisex in my personal opinion, because it has a feminine perfume-y quality to it along with a masculine aftertaste. It does smell like alcohol and something strong and caustic upon first spray, but it simmers down nicely. To me, it smells like a distant whisper of Elizabeth Arden Green tea (it has that sharp tickle, probably from the lily), mixed with tree sap (what you smell when you break a young branch) and sawdust (the dry version of the same tree). I’m surprised with how non-synthetic the wood note smells. It doesn’t smell like that horrible fake cedar note used so frequently now in new perfumes. I did think this perfume would smell a little more leafy like Bath and Body Works Rainkissed Leaves, but that’s alright. I actually think it would layer well with the BBW lotion. The musk is also great quality…definitely not a laundry musk, it blends very well with the skin, it smells dense and natural. I don’t really get vanilla or much sweetness at all. The longevity is not bad, I really like the sawdust-like, peppery masculine drydown. I don’t smell the similarity to Dior Addict unfortunately. Maybe with more wears? I was afraid this would smell aquatic like Cool Water, my arch nemesis, but there’s nothing ocean-y about it at all luckily. Now I’m catching whiffs as I move around, and the air smells like peppery grass clippings mixed with perhaps the rind of a grapefruit. The clover is coming through, it’s bold and strong, it’s dark green, not the yellow-green tendrils of baby leaves in the spring. Very unique and interesting. Overall, I would recommend this scent to anyone who has grown tired of their gourmand scents and would like to branch out and smell branchy.

Wasn’t sure I was going to like this on initial spray. All I got was wet musk, then some water florals. After about 5 minutes, though, the bamboo and clover come to the fore and it is a lovely, green scent. Not too fresh. Not a love for me because of the opening but very definitely a strong like. I’ll keep my blind bought bottle in rotation.

Truth opens with a sharp bamboo note along with sweet and grassy clover. The heart is peony and lily followed by a musky and woody base. This is one of the freshest, cleanest fragrances ever. It’s soft, gentle, and serene. Just beautiful.

I agree with @corkscrewcurly. This is a floral green scent. Aromatic, herbal, fresh. I usually don’t go for green scents as I find them somewhat nauseating, but this is a wonderful exception.
I get a blast of bamboo, clover and lily in the beginning, which subsides a bit after about 30 minutes at which point vetiver and patchouli peep out to give these notes some earthy support.
The middle which comes about 2-3 hours later smells like a garden of lilies and clover right after they’ve been watered or rained on. I think this is my favourite stage of this little gem.
It then morphs into a warm blend of amber, musk, lily and sandalwood in the dry down (about 5 hours later on me).
I find that Truth reacts differently on my skin depending on the weather. I get a “refreshing/rain forest” vibe during cooler weather or rainy days (the bamboo, clover, lily and vetiver stand out here), and a “fresh, warm and cosy” vibe during hot weather (the lily, amber and sandalwood stand out here). I like it better during rainy weather. This is East African weather mind you where temperatures range from about 15-28 degrees.

This is a gem . It has a very “zen” presence , calming and lingering in a soft fashion. I love the bamboo note and find it the best floral and bamboo combo ever. This is much prettier and longer lasting than Gucci Bamboo .
This fragrance launched my interest in perfumes. My daughter was in high school and college and worked in the fragrance department of a local store. She was given many testers, and I enjoyed learning about the perfumes she would wear . I found myself buying the ones that smelled great on her. The first perfume she wore was this one . Later , she wore COCO EDP and COCO Mademioselle. That was 15 years ago, and I still wear all three of these .
I am often overwhelmed by florals , but the bamboo and lily are very well done.

For some reason my initial love of uber sweet gourmands morphed into a love of green/vintage/woodsy perfumes. Go figure!
Got a cheap bottle of this from Fragrancenet, it’s the COTY EDP, and the cap is super cheap and broken– but I do love that sleek tall bottle.
Back in 2002 my friend and I worked at Bath & Body Works. This is an exact dupe (well, if memory serves) for Green Clover and Aloe. My friend Karen is very very picky about scents and she likes beachy-seasalt or fresh clean green- so Green Clover and Aloe was a favorite of hers. I bet she’d love this, and I’d prob give it to her if she wanted it.
I like this. Bamboo, fresh clover, woods, grass, and soapy freshness. Clean-green, but not like Irish Spring soap. It’s very very light tho, so it feels like my old Green Clover and Aloe body spray. However, this was cheap and I like it enough to use 1/8 of the bottle at a time and then not repurchase.

I didn’t think I’d like a grassy perfume. I don’t like the male version. The female Truth is very fresh, pristine and beautiful. Natural, green yet feminine and ethereal. Idk how they managed to combine the grassy freshness with the sublime delicacy of a female essence, but it works. Love this and it’s a total suprise. Good staying power. I think this is easy to wear.

@Ivanus ‘This fragrance reminds me of a spiritual, profound and curious women searching for answers.’ – I really love this description.
I know I already left a review for this one but truly, this is a special one. It’s like serenity in a bottle. The more I smell it, the more richer things seem to become. Its like freedom and cleanliness. Like being lost in a rainforest or stepping into your garden at dawn after night rain and just being at peace with the world. It’s impossible to put into words exactly why this one works so well, but I couldn’t be without a bottle of it now.

This fragrance opened luscious and moist. Like being misted with the humidity from a tropical waterfall surrounded by dew-laden bamboo. It was fresh, sweet, green, and refreshing and thankfully neither sharp nor too loud. On my skin it mellowed out to a lightly sweet bamboo backed by warm spices. On a paper test the spices were very dominant after drydown. I would have really enjoyed the spice drydown if that were the case on skin, but it stays a far fresher fragrance on skin than on paper.
The biggest shame is that the longevity and sillage are both very poor. At first I thought it was due to the heat we were having, but no. Within a half hour this dries down to a skin scent and within two hours I can only smell it on my clothes. An absolute disappointment because the fragrance itself is so lovely!
I’ll be using my 50 ml bottle up quickly by spraying liberally and often, but doubt I will repurchase.

Truth opens on my skin with a burst of a bit green and citrusy bamboo mingled with clean vetiver laying on top of a bit unusual grass-like bouquet of flowers.

    Longevity – 7/10(7+ hours)
Silage/Projection – 7,5/10(moderate projection for the first 2 hours, than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent’s evolution)
Weather – For more or less any time of year.Best in early autumn, spring and summer.
    Versatility – 9/10
    Age – 23+
    Compliments – 8/10
    Scent – 8/10
Main notes according to me – bamboo, clover, vetiver, mimosa, lily, musk, bergamot, sandalwood, vanilla.
The drydown is musky, moderatly sweet, woody and ambery and I get some -amber,vanilla,florals and musk.
Emotions – women searching for answers, spiritual, profound, elegant.
Occasion -for more or less any ocasion.
“Quality/Cost Ratio” is extremely high.Try before you buy.

I’ve blind bought this as I could get it for an extremely reasonable price.
The reviews here are mostly right. It’s a very natural scent, beautiful and refreshing. I’ve tried it yesterday when it was scorching hot where I live.
There’s something in there that’s definitely “perfume-y”, I reckon that’s supposed to be the woman in the forest. The cooling floral and green notes are more like a backdrop to this warmth, although it might have been the hot weather yesterday that made the warmth in this scent most prominent. I imagine this scent would work better on cooler days.
But as things were, that warmth became somewhat overpowering to the point where I didn’t recognise a human in it, but rather the hot, humid weather. I’m standing in a dense forest when I suddenly discover a lovely, deep blue pond, surrounded by an abundance of flowers, grass and bamboo; the clover is very apparent too. Not even the dense canopy of dark green leaves can keep out the hotness and humidity of this day and I’m staring at the pond, tempted to jump in but unwilling to do so, because I don’t want to disturb the gorgeous waterlilies floating on its surface.I can smell them and – though it might seem impossible – I can actually smell the water itself. Its cooling scent and promise of refreshment is singing a hypnotising song of temptation like a siren that’s seducing me to come nearer.
As I stand there pondering, the humidity becomes unbearable so I eventually look around to make sure I’m alone, then take off all my clothes and just jump in. I’m immediately surrounded by refreshing, cool (not cold) clear water. The refreshing feeling is so welcome on this day that I just do nothing and let myself sink deeper and deeper. This pond is surprisingly deep and when it seems that I won’t reach the bottom any time soon, I start swimming. When I resurface I take a deep breath and inhale all the scents of the flowers and greenery, feeling deeply refreshed to my very core.
This scent is quite special in that it actually stays green and fresh throughout. Where most scents – even the greens and fresh ones – generally get warmer the more they dry down, this one manages to do the opposite until at last only the pond and the waterlilies are still present. It’s quite remarkable. Especially how it creates this vivid imagery of crystal clear, fresh water. If water had a smell, this would be it.
Longevity is good, the base will last until the next shower, sillage is decent, but it becomes more of a skin scent somewhere in the heart phase. Spraying more should fix this, but as the head is so strong, I’d recommend spraying it at least half an hour before leaving the house.
Will test again on a cooler day, which will hopefully come soon.
Update: have tested again in cooler weather and I was right. The perfume-y, warm part is still there, but only in the very opening. It fades much quicker than on a hot day and only leaves behind that cooling, floral, comfortable, green aquatic. Very nice indeed.

I am cursed when it comes to finding my elusive green scented lily. They’re either the wrong lilies, too sweet and not green enough, or in this case, discontinued.
This is my perfect lily. It’s like lying face down in the wet grass of a lush forest, delicate lily scent pervading the air. It’s heartbreaking for me that this is discontinued. I only sampled it because I didn’t realise that was the case! (I prefer to spare myself the heartache and the panic of tracking down discontinued scents, generally.)
But fortunately, its still fairly cheap online and sellers are still providing decants and samples too. I will definitely pick up a bottle of this. Baffling that such a beautiful, rain forest like scent is discontinued!

  13. :

    3 out of 5

This starts out crisp and rain shower fresh and winds up a woody musky vanilla, but it is green all over.
The soft dry down is in direct opposition to the almost-but-not-quite bitingly green opening. The clover lends an air of sweet spring meadow that joins the two sides.
    I really enjoy this.

I just got this today and am LOVING it! It must be the clover I’m digging, that I think with the peony, they are in a lover’s embrace, cause it’s something I’m wilding over that I’ve never smelled in a perfume before! Oh yeah. Even my adult son, who always rolls his eyes and acts all bored when I ask his opinion, pretty much every day, what he thinks, actually said, yeah that’s nice! Like pulling teeth from him, seriously.
    Really, this is discontinued? Why?
Edit – probably a good idea to get another bottle or two – you just know it’ll get harder to find and that means the price will get jacked up very soon.

In the 90’s Gap Grass, Davidof Cool Water and CK1 were my jam. Reading the description and notes of Truth made it seem like it would be an instant favorite but I was so wrong. I like how this smells in the bottle, I like it when it’s still in midair, the second it hits my skin it all goes wrong for me. It must be a skin chemistry thing because I don’t smell freshness, bamboo or grass – I smell forced Christmas celbrations as a child at my neighbours house – fake pine scented candles, christmas potporie, Cool Water perfume, Harvey Wallbangers, Chexmix and Bonny M playing in the background sorounded by uncomfortable adults and an eerie owl collection. I smell Mrs. Watson’s house!
I wanted to love this stuff but I cant.

I blind bought this perfume (I’ve always found all of CK’s perfumes agreable). On myself, I get nothing like the grass or flowers others say they find.
On me, the perfume is a mix of wet bamboo, aloe Vera, and leaves a trail of non-gourmand vanilla and musk. It actually reminds me of a spa in Japan after a rainstorm. I’ve always like green perfumes which are not aqautics, so it gets a thumbs up.

  17. :

I get very citrussy/patchouli opening. After the drydown the most prominent notes is certainly bamboo – it’s soft, gentle, slightly fresh, different. There’s certainly noticeable woody base to this fragrance with some a little bit sweet amber.
Certainly spring/summer suitable. It’s not my cup of tea, I would prefer CK IN2U for summer over this one, but hands down, objectively this smells pleasant.

I’ve been wearing this absolute beauty from it was first ever launched back in 2000!! For Me it was love at first sniff & after wearing it while out Shopping with my Mum I bought it before we left Debenhams for home!! I simply call Truth my “Uncomplicated Perfume” as on me it’s deffo really fresh, green & very up-lifting & yet cosy at the Sametime!! As other people have mentioned this perfume will deffo not smell the same on everybody that wears it & that aspect of it I really do like!! From the very first time I ever wore this perfume till this very present day,I’ve never received so many compliments whenever I wear this gem!! & actually had two guy’s follow me,a little unnerving lol’lol’lol’lol & then stop me to ask me what’s the name of that stunning perfume your wearing!! & Being a senior Theather Pre-Op Nurse many patients, colleagues,Dr’s & Surgeons have also said how lovely I smell.
In My opinion, this is the BEST Calvin Klein perfume to date!! It’s absolutely gorgeous & I Really do love it!! There’s no other perfume out there that smells the same as this!! Don’t honestly no whether it’s the fresh green/clean aroma or the Bamboo that’s in this perfume that makes it so unique!! But whatever it is it surely work’s it’s special magic on me!! Just hope that Calvin Klein never discontinue this gem,& they realise just how special this creation really is!!

This is my very first test on this perfume. So far, I don’t now wether I love it or not, but it’s definetely not a hate one. I was expecting something refreshing, cool and green with jus a hint of amber and musk but on my skin it warms up to a dominantly amber-musk scent. After the first 2 minutes no cooling greenness is here for me. The pepper note is literally hot and pungent for my nose and that lasts for a very long time. I wanted to use it on hot summer days and at the moment I’m not sure it will work well or not in hot weather.
I will update after more testing.
Update: I spen my whole day testing Truth. And very sadly I ended up not liking it at all. It’s not the perfume it’s just my taste, for me, Truth is too simple in the drydown albeit very comforing and soft, I just wasn’t looking for this type of scent at the moment.
Also, I wonder if reformulation can be ashamed for my bad experience. I really can not smell anything of the cirusy-fresh-grassy-green-floral accords in Truth. The only smell I can sense is that warm, peppery-spicy-ambery-musky concoction that could be even the cheapest drustore fragrance, too. It’s not bad at all, actually it’s pretty and can be lovely just nothing special.
I had a perfume years ago that had the same ultimate impression: Intimately YOurs by David and Victoria Beckham.

@Gwenhwyfar: out of curiosity, I just opened my new back up bottle of Truth and the juice is indeed lighter. It also smells different, but it still had that special vibe. Because Truth is quite unique, in my opinion.

  23. :

    3 out of 5

I was using Truth recently during hot weather, and now that cooler weather has set in already I noticed a very big difference in how Truth smells in different temperatures. Much more powdery, floral, warm and even kind of sweet in hot weather, and so very grassy green in cool weather. Almost like two distinct different scents. Amber and musk became very prominent in the base (cooler weather), and during summer it was more vanilla. I prefer it more in summer-mode – I think it develops better, is more colorful and shows off more nuances to it. This cooler grass-green aspect to it makes me sad for some reason..It smells like autumn.
P.S. I still have those little vials of perfume oil scents that came with Truth purchase when they were just launching it. I don’t know why they are not in the data base here, maybe it was just a promotional thing and they were not actually manufacturing them separately from the fragrance? Anyway there were Lilac oil, Bamboo oil, Vanilla oil, Sapling oil, Citrus oil – all under the name Truth. Were they supposed to be flankers of the scent? Or just separate notes contained in the scent? Sapling was the best smelling oil of the rest of them, but there is no sapling note in here.

I love oriental perfumes, but I viewed (with justification) the placement of CK Truth in the oriental woody group by Fragrantica with scepticism. I bought it anyway as the notes appealed to me; I have been trying to find suitable perfumes for muggy days here in SE England.
It’s not oriental – and it’s not woody.
This is a floral green scent.
On first spraying, I would have placed a bet on this containing lily of the valley; I know it’s not a listed note, but that is what initially wafts under my nose. It must be the combination of flowers and bamboo, presenting as LOTV, but that impression is gone within an hour, leaving a slightly herbal, aromatic (almost smells like fresh lavender, when smelled from a distance) fragrance behind. The lily isn’t that heady, it’s more the smell of freshly cut stems and the buds, before the flowers fully open and spill that powerful, narcotic smell everywhere.
I am not picking up on any sandalwood or amber. Truth is fresh, green, citrussy – lovely for warm summer days, with moderate sillage and longevity (on clothing – this is gone within 2 hours from my skin, but that is not a reflection on the quality of the perfume).
Reminds me a little of EA Splendor.

I first wore this fragrance when it first came out. It was hot, and this is perfect to wear in the heat.
I do like florals, and gourmands and many other genres…but there certainly is a time and place for this lovely crisp clean fragrance. I also like to layer it with florals, just to tame the sweetness when you don’t want to much.
By the wsy the body oil spray is fantastic too, bery true to the original.
To me this reminds me of cool, pure cut grass.
Great for casual wear or work.
It is a commanding frag., so no need to over do it. A little goes a long way.
Recommended to have in the repertoire.

I got Truth back into my rotation from the back of the drawer and decided to finally say something about this one of a kind perfume. All the top notes listed are definitely there and very distinguishable from each other. All of them together also remind me of freshly cut grass with clover flowers. In the first 10-15 minutes after spraying the scent can overwhelm in any weather. And then in an hour or so it seems to be very faint, almost completely gone. Keyword is “seems”. I’ve had this large bottle since the year it was produced, 2000. Yes, I get distracted a lot to other scents and rarely finish a bottle soon. So I immediately thought: oh well, it disappeared fast, must be because it’s an old bottle. Nope. As I went on with my day the scent kept appearing out of nowhere, when the wind would blow, or when I moved faster, when I would turn my head I would sense this delicate aura of perfume just hanging around me all day, almost 8 hours, and surprising me when I would already forget about it. The initial woody/green notes develop wonderfully into tasteful floral mix – I am not a big florals fan, it has to be just right. And this enigmatic scent absolutely gets it right. I smell more of mimosa, lily and vanilla in the development stages. Don’t get much of peony.
The bottle annoys me though. I never paid attention to its design, but noticed it right now, that it’s actually made at a slight angle, like it’s bending in the wind or something like that. Unless, that’s how the designer wanted to convey the perfume’s association with a bamboo shoot, or a grass stalk.
I’m almost done with my bottle from 2000, and thinking to get a new one, but I noticed that the liquid in the bottle in the photos looks much much lighter, than the one I have right now. Mine is darker, almost cognac-colored. And it was this color from the beginning, it didn’t turn.
If you bought Truth recently, is it really light-colored juice, and how does it compare to an older, darker version?

Essence of spring! Gorgeous bamboo green note balanced by rich florals and sandalwood. For some reason a part of this reminds me a little of the original Dior Addict. Don’t ask me how, since they share only sandalwood, blackberry, and vanilla. Just a quality here.
Truth has complexity and a natural richness. Somehow it’s green, fresh, AND powdery. Great in rainy cool weather, when it seems to bloom. The clover note is strong. Truth reminds me of Jo Malone’s Nasturtium & Clover in the drydown, but Truth is sweeter in the opening. If Truth had more citrus it would remind me of Origins Spring Fever – however, the citrus is minimal here.
Note: As much as I love Truth and have worn it for years, I would not recommend this in the heat of summer. The vanilla and sandalwood can swarm. But for a cold wet day, it’s unbeatable.
Once again Alberto Morillas is at his best combining naturals and synthetics to make a whole greater than the sum of its parts.

whoa! a friend of mine gave this to me when she cleaned out her perfume cabinet. I thought, I’ll give it a shot. First spray, overwhelmed. It’s very heady. I don’t know what I’m smelling, but it made my stomach sick. oh dear, well, it’s been ten minutes and now it’s a very spicy, powdery, clovey skicky scent that still makes me sick to my stomach. sorry, truth fans, I’ll stick my floral scents.

this fragrance blows me away in the fact that it’s totally different than what I was expecting. It starts very green fresh crunchy and Dewey. I smell gorgeous bamboo Clover and lime. soon it starts to smell like a completely different perfume , it’s very complex in my opinion. It turns into a warm, ambery ,vanilla and Lily fragrance with a small trace of bamboo left. I get what other people are saying when they say it smells like Dior addict, eau frache version. I started wondering did I have Dior addict on my shirt from last time I wore it? was it in my hair? Then I realized it was Calvin Klein truth. Very unique and wonderful for summer and spring. It’s fresh and green but still warm and Ambery. It seems to have great longevity and sillage with my chemistry. Longevity is about 6 hours, sillage moderate. I’m very happy to have this perfume! I expected a green scent all the way through but it’s so much more than that!

The way this fragrance is described by Calvin Klein above is spot on. Three remarkable noses have created something that I cannot put into my own words. It’s winter here in Oz… but quite warm. I layered with Estee Lauder Private Collection body cream…and liberally sprayed Truth. Almost 12 hours later and I can still smell this. I had heaps of trouble trying to find this fragrance but the search was well worth it. I’ll be wearing this tomorrow too.

According to ads, it is a smell close to nature. Well. By my nose its citrus, delicate. I mostly feel lime, lemon and bamboo, and all related things.
In my opinion, it is not feminine at all. Although it has fruit and vanilla in it, it does not smell like heat, it’s a scent associated with air fresheners, but it’s perfume. Category fresh, clean.
Plus for being long on the market and not retired. Not my type. Persistence good – 6 hours. At the end already feel like washed out pillows. Such aromas – freshly changed sheets in bed.

This is the fragrance fruity florals wish they could be. Its crisp, slightly tart sweetness blends seamlessly with its green woodiness, making it just slightly left-of-center. I originally thought, upon first sniff, that it reminded me of more conventional perfumes, specifically floral fruity celebu-scents. I liked it, but only because I already owned it, and was thus inclined to just go ahead and enjoy it. However, breaking it out after months of wearing my winter scents has given me a new perspective on this unexpected beauty. Its sweetness belies a gentle, dry complexity that welcomes the warmer months, but remembers what it was like when times were lean. A lovely little thing.

Summer rain on new green grass. Fresh bamboo. Opening the cooler at the florist. White lilies. Drydown of warm woods & hints of musk.
On bare skin 2x spays = 12 hours longevity. Perhaps a potent skin scent?
A bargain I found on clearance @ Walmart several years ago. Smells as fresh today as it did when I bought it.
If you enjoyed Coty Aspen Sensation, or you like Cool Water, or even the green bottle of Yves Rocher Ode a la vie (ode to life), you will enjoy this.
ETA: Demeter Wet Garden is also similar, tho linear. Also would be enjoyed by Florabotanica fans!

Funny, I just read this review after spraying this on an hour ago. This was one of my favs about 10 years ago and its beauty does still hold up today. Very feminine. I have so many perfumes though that I’m not loyal to one anymore. This scent seems to have gone on discount at many stores, and is totally worth getting!

I used to wear Truth when it first came out, I always liked its dewy freshness, the hint of spicy, the fact that there isn’t any other perfume that ressembles it..my husband bought it for me in a discount store, and the smell is unchanged!! I like the green floral notes, like fresh crushed green leaves. Nothing sharp..timeless in its simplicity, a pleasure to rediscover !! It isnt heady but neither would I call it light!? There is a hefty dose of lily in it, and this isn’t a perfume I would overspray though, and I prefer to use it in spring..
It is grown up but certainly not oldish, there are certain perfumes that do not age well, Truth smells like it came out yesterday honestly. I detect the Morillas stamp, fresh, floral, pretty, some amber and subtle vanilla in the dry down..nothing out of place….the interesting part about Truth is that it has an icy edge, like it never warms up..like a waterfall in winter…
    Just wishing it wasn’t a 100 ml !!

I won this on Ebay(bottle of 100 ml for 9,99 pounds). It’s really fresh summer perfume.Smells like Heaven. The citrus notes reminds me a lot of D&G Light blue, but the lily makes it softer.

OMG !!! So many years I was wondering about this scent. I was even affraid about it to smell. But today I did it and it would be perfectif not that lily. The lily scent changes everything and makes this perfume a little bit cripsy and bitter. Without lily it wolud be the perfect summer scent, so fresh so clean. It reminds me a meadow full of fresh grass, clovers, and delicate flowers and suddenly the lily comes right out of the heaven a kill my utopia. Unfortunately no… what a shame… 🙁

I bought this blind as I wanted an everyday light refreshing fragrance for the summer and read reviews on Fragrantica.
I certainly got what I was hoping for but it’s lasting power is very poor, so much so that I was reapplying every hour and got through a 100ml in a couple of weeks!
It reminds me a little of O de Lancôme which I wore 20yrs ago but it doesn’t have anywhere near the same staying power.

I get the bamboo, peony, mimosa, patchouli, musk, and vetiver mostly in this. It’s what I call “full-bodied fresh.” It’s refreshing and clean and green and sparkly, but it radiates from me rather than doing the disappearing act so common to fresh scents.
The musk in it is actually quite dominant, though not overpowering. It has the feeling to me of Narciso L’Eau For Her. That adds a new dimension of depth that allows it to linger.
This could be a FB purchase for me. Possibly. With a few more wears, it could also turn from a strong “like” into a love!

The perfect green, feminine, floral freshie. As soon as I sprayed it for the first time I was hooked. It’s this hint of sweetness from the flowers that make this so feminine. The blend is mixed very well and the all the notes feel very balanced. I get mostly bamboo, with flowers, citrus, a hint of woodiness in the background and some crisp from the patchouli on the side, which works so well with the wet woods and feels like you’re taking a short hike in the forest right when you spray it on. That balanced mix of notes does mean that nothing really stands out much except for the bamboo I smell quite well. In some way the bamboo comes off in some kind of aloe vera way. This fragrance either contains aloe vera or is the result of an accord of notes in it and I can’t seem to put my finger on it, but it keeps intriguing me. Maybe that is because it should remain as a mystery. I find Truth to be really elegant without trying even a bit. It stays simple and I adore simple done well because it radiates confidence and strength in a very you-get-what-you-see-, or rather a you-get-what-you-smell-way. It oozes class, feminine class. Truth is extreme
