Smells great. Very, very close to Green Irish Tweed. However, the performance on my skin is terrible. Poor longevity and projection. After about an hour(2 hours on a good day), it’s completely gone. Because of the terrible performance, I only use it as a gym scent, or for running quick errands. If the performance was better, I would love this fragrance and use it more often. I Won’t be buying a second bottle due the performance unfortunately.

Man I have dry skin and this thing is nuclear on my skin! One of the best performing fragrances I have. I can’t believe this is only rated medium in performance. Either I got lucky with an extremely better batch or there are a lot of dishonest voters. 2-3 sprays max. Women and men both really like this scent. Good for literally any occasion and any season.

Using it first time. it was a blind buy. on first spray I felt that I had smelled this fragrance before. smell was similar to many perfume available in 90’s. I hadn’t own cool water nor GIT but familiarity of smell suggest there were many cheap copies of either GIT or cool water in Indian market. definitely green fragrance.

Imo opening is very beautiful but the dry down is very synthetic. I am having some tough time in tolerating the dry down. Fresh, clean, green smell in the opening. Good for summer days, office. Decent longevity and moderate projection. Will going to buy it again, may be not.

Smells amazing. I don’t know if I got a bad bottle, but lasts abou one hour. I sprayed a bunch on a shirt, like 10 sprays and left the room. Came back an hour later, still nice, 2nd hour gone. Gone. Loved cDNIM, smells great, lasts forever. Tres nuit is fresh, smells great, but more of a body spray that leaves. Bought on amazon, August 2018: batch # 253923 05814. Made in France.

first things first, I love this scent! It is absolutely stunning.
Tres Nuit is a very fresh and green scent. There was a slight alcohol smell for the first few seconds but quickly faded, leaving behind an insanely fresh smelling scent with the lemon complimenting the floral notes and not overpowering the scent, the transition begins and you get the bergamot, spice and sandalwood giving it a masculine edge.
Now, the obvious, this is similar to Green Irish Tweed from the house of Creed, but as many other have pointed out, there are some key differences that lovers of Creed will pick up. I only had a sample of Green Irish Tweed 4 months ago, but from what I remember, Green Irish Tweed was a lot more “fresh cut grass” smelling at the top, but the dry down is very similar in both Green Irish Tweed and Tres Nuit.
Green Irish Tweed was the first fragrance I had tried from Creed and I remember instantly falling in love with it, however, I didn’t love the price tag. I picked up a 100ml bottle of Tres Nuit for £24.95 on Amazon, where as a 100ml Creed Green Irish Tweed I’d be looking at £215 (lowest price search £155).
This fragrance is for someone who wants a Green Irish Tweed vibe, but 10% of the cost, I’d even go as far as to say I’d buy several bottles of Tres Nuit before I ever buy a Creed with that price tag.
With this being such a fresh, green scent, the obvious time to wear this of course is Spring and going into summer. But with the dry down, it doesn’t seem like it should be limited to such a short time of use, you could easily use this fragrance from the beginning of Spring to the end of Autumn/Fall
    Scent: 9/10
    Longevity: 7/10
    Projection: 8/10
    Versatility: 7/10

Two great colognes in one! I don’t have GIT so I don’t have much to compare the opening to, but it is exactly what you’d want to smell like in the spring. Perfectly floral, also a slight bit of bitterness/tartness I think that may be the Lemon Verbena. But it’s very green and again, exactly what I’d hoped I would have for a spring scent. But as you guys have pointed out, there was even more to come.
After about 4-5 hours (oh did I forget to say it has great projection) you don’t detect it from smelling where you sprayed, because the second half of this cologne is good enough that it wafts its way to you in waves of a familiar scent. Nearly gone is the creamy, lush greenery from the first couple hours. It’s here you realize Tres Nuit has just gone through a bit of a identity crisis and now identifies itself as Cool Water.
Now I and just about anyone can tell the unmistakable aquatic haze that is Cool Water and in that last couple hours, what you get here is about 75-80% of that CW DNA coming at you in a slightly less aquatic tone. It’s a very pleasant ending to round things off. A bit of a olfactory journey down memory lane. Long lasting on skin, very acceptable projection, fresh as hell and memories of the past all in one for $35.85 on fragx, one of my favourites this year!

It’s nice but I find the lemon verbena to be way too strong in the opening (for ~1hr). I also wish there was more sandalwood to soften the scent a little. The opening doesn’t suck but it’s not great. The dry down is quite pleasant as the sandalwood becomes more pronounced.
I have actually a gotten semi-negative comment on this along the lines of “smells like compost”, and I kinda agree but it’s not the worst thing in the world to smell like a dense pile of vegetation.
EDIT: Did I say the dry down is pleasant? I meant FANTASTIC. There is a real duality in this fragrance: between the opening and the dry down, the latter of which is wayyy nicer.

It’s smells like Cool Water with less soapy scent and it’s perform better than the CW.

Let’s be honest. Armaf didnt got that much love with some of their other clones (maybe except for Craze). This one seems to make the general consensus. It’s clean, it’s fresh, it’s almost like GIT, the opening is different but still enjoyable and it doesnt feel cheap to the average nose.
Violet, iris, ambergris, lemon, and a good healthy dose of lavender of course. There’s really nothing to dislike about this fragrance. It’s an honest scent, straightfoward, it’s not changing much. It’s there for everyone to enjoy because you’ll have a hard time finding someone who dislike what you are wearing.
Sandalwood could have been more present, who could disagree with more sandalwood when it’s well done?
What really keeps my attention on that smell is how it’s easy and smooth. It goes with the natural flow of your personality, whoever you are. It’s the polyvalent kind of smell that seems to fit more situations thant we would think of first. You could be young or older, it doesnt really matter. When it comes to clean scents, everyone is winning. Especially the people around you.
It comes as something totally natural to wear. I mean, it feels like a classic (GIT), so if you’re into that kind of fragrance, a bit powdery, clean and professional, go for it.
My girlfriend thinks I should wear this more often. Sometimes I spray it at night when she’s asleep and I lay beside her. A few seconds later she starts talking in her sleep about how I smell good. I dont know about you… but getting compliments from sleeping people is the best!
Thank you Très Nuit. And thank you for reading my review!

The opening of this made me almost wash it off, but I knew if I was patient I would see what others have loved about this fragrance. After the very harsh, dry and bitter opening, it becomes a beautiful, grassy-lavender-sandalwood-herbal cloud.

very good smell! dry down is very creamy and fresh. and it is the same juice as in estiara stag black.
    safe blind buy

To me it’s 100% the same as GIT on the drydown. The openings are def different though. I’m on my second bottle. Got compliments a couple of days ago about 5 hours into the day so it does last. The sprayer on it is not the best so I decanted some into a better sprayer. Great cheapie though

  14. :

    4 out of 5

This is much closer to Chez Bond than it is Green Irish Tweed and it’s about 10% of the price. Totally safe blind buy if you’re already familiar with the Bond offering. I will still gladly pay $300 for GIT (nothing even comes close in my opinion) but would take this over CB any day.

  15. :

The opening and dry down smells like a fusion of Davidoff Cool Water and Aspen. Projection and longevity are definitely above average.

  16. :

This is my third Armaf, I already have Club De Nuit Intense (of course) and Craze (amazing!).
Tres Nuit is nice, similar indeed to Green Irish Tweed but lacking longevity and a little more “cheap soap”, some have said synthetic.
I really want proper GIT now, I might sell 10 of my fragrances on ebay in order to purchase it.

  17. :

    3 out of 5

Never have I tried GIT. But, I can imagine a higher quality frag from Tres Nuit and imagine GIT but honestly… it is pleasant, fresh but it is not worth the hype. For the money, okay. But if GIT smells like this… has an identical scent profile… I really don’t get the hype around both frags. What I get from Tres Nuit is fresh cut grass with very pleasant lemon in the beginning. That lemon from lemon verbena fades away within 20 mins and then the fresh grassy violet blends with powdery feel from iris. Those two combined make a scent that smells like a peppermint chewing gum but fresher and lighter with a bit of a citrus. Iris is not powdery like in Dior Homme or similar frags and you don’t get that lipstick iris, but it does make the whole composition smoother. Like it calms down the green aspects and bitter aspects from citruses. So so so ordinary.
To me, it is better than Le Parfait because I dislike Aventus. This is no Coolwater either. Maybe 15-20% but way less harsh. Not even close. Borrows the vibe here and there from it. It is smooth and refreshing. A spring in a bottle. If this was around and only a handful of frags… it would be a champion among them. But today when there are way more interesting yet simple frags out there… I simply can’t say that it’s something I have to have. Very casual. I would choose Aqva Marine or Zegna Uomo over this any day. Those who smelled Zegna Uomo… This is that type of a frag. Watery grassy barbershop with a gentle citrus on top. And that’s it. Zegna Uomo and Aqva Marine and Living Stromboli, Polo Blue… all fresh watery frags, better that this one. For $15 or 20€, you really can’t complain and you do get one of the best green frags I’ve smelled, but there are way better ones in the fresh genre. I find most of the green ones too synthetic, too screechy for the nose, always a note or two that go sour or bad or turn bad in the heat.
For hot summer? Yes. Light and non offensive. Projection is bad, an hour and a half maybe if you spray heavy. Longevity about 4 to 5 hours but you have to search for it. Not a mass pleaser nor is it for everyone. This has a specific fan group who like simple yet green and smooth frags.

cheap and synthetic clone of GIT by Creed.
Do not blind buy this unless you are a fan of Aspen, Cool Water and those kind of frags.

To my nose this is 98% Green Irish Tweed with a couple hours less longevity
Incredible value. I purchased an almost full bottle of this juice on eBay for only $13
If Tres Nuit smelled any more similar to GIT I feel like they might get a call from Creed telling them to knock it off or else : )
I’m thoroughly impressed as are my family members which contributed to my sniff tests.

This is a cross breed between 40 percent cool water and 60 percent polo sport! Not bad at all
I have not yet got my nose on Creeds GIT but now I am curious.

it smells good yes but it is so weak even coolwater stays more than this. i dont want to compare this with cw, coz cw is an aquatic frag and better if you ask me but it depends on ppl. this tres nuit smells more like aspen but better. i havent used git

I just want to say that this lived up to the hype for me personally. This was one of my most anticipated purchases, because I love Green Irish Tweed and if this could be close, I would be more than happy.
Wow, is it ever close. Not sure if there is another fragrance that is so closely matching to another. It doesn’t smell generic at all, and it lasted a good 4-5 hours on bare skin. It’s easily one of my favorite scents and I honestly don’t feel the need to purchase GiT because of it. But,….what’s a collection without it right?
The opening scent is a very nice, slightly citrus, clean green scent, and you can also catch the violet in it as well. From there, at least for me, the green never really went away, but a little woods and some lavender showed up to compliment it.
The staying power isn’t the best, and the projection isn’t the strongest, but my son who smelled it on me, thought it smelled really good. I’ll update as I continue to explore using it.
All in all, I say get it if you’re on the fence, it’s cheap and it’s a lot better than most designer sprays. The bottle is a bit awkward to hold, but as others have said,it is very well put together and nice looking. The sprayer is not bad either, not elite, but not bad.
9/10 for me, because I love the scent so much, but I take a point off because the projection and sillage isn’t all that great. Still a very good fragrance that deserves more attention.
    LOVE YOU NAB

    3 out of 5

Tres Nuit is a high quality fragrance in the tradition (if not a complete rip) of Green Irish Tweed, with just a bit more punch and staying power at the expense of a bit of the artistic subtlety of the original. And at about 1/10 the price, it should rightfully make anyone but the most serious fan rethink even buying GIT itself.
Rather than bore you with yet another redundant rehash of what this smells like, let’s just get to the point about how it differs. Right off the top, this one can be a punch in the nose – not unlike CDNIM is in its own way – owing to the heavy-handedness with which Armaf generally treats its top notes – and this is not an entirely bad thing. Just plan to let it air out a few minutes before going out. In particular, the iris can be a bit sharp, taking this in a slightly different direction than GIT – but not too much so. There is also that floral violet flower note that moves TN more into the floral and away from GIT’s more “green” direction. As it dries down, I pick up a somewhat less than natural lavender note that IMHO is totally unnecessary. Thankfully, it plays nice with the other notes in an overall lovely green, floral accord. Overall, the violet and citrus notes play their rightful lead, as they should. Later in the dry down, I really don’t get much sandalwood from TN compared with GIT, but I can forgive that in light of above average longevity of its excellent top-mid notes.
Overall, this is a strong “like” for me, strictly on its own merits. And with the dirt cheap price tag and good longevity (for its style), this qualifies for “love” territory. I’m a big fan of GIT and do own a bottle – but this one is every bit worthy of its place next to it, as a surprisingly not-too-distant second place. Yes, it is a bit different, but the most worthy alternative I’ve found for when you’d rather reserve the expensive stuff for special occasions.
This is a no-brainer, folks. Don’t even think about it, just go get it already.

If you want to smell sexy, fresh, happy, smart, laid back and natural. Then I have good news. The headline is «Tres Nuit: high quality, low price.»
(Cons: the sprayer is terrible and the bottle is very difficult to hold in your hand. You actually need to use both hands to uncomfortably apply the juice. What was the designer thinking?).

  25. :

    4 out of 5

First things first, I’ve never smelled GIT so I won’t be able to comment on the similarity between the two.
As for this scent, when I first smelled this, it gave off a green yet almost detergent-like vibe which I found strangely off-putting. I suppose my mom had, at some point in time in my childhood, used some laundry detergent that was similar to this. Per se I didn’t dislike the smell – the lemon verbena/violet/lavender combination is jaunty and sparkling – just that it seemed to evoke some negative memories.
Then, one day, I tried layering this with another cheapie – Body Shop’s Vanilla. From that day onward, I’ve become a fan. The layering of the sheer vanilla seems to work with green scents and that gave me a whole new perspective on this.
Longevity on me is about 8-10 hours in a sultry tropical clime. Decent projection for the first 3. For the price it’s an undeniably great scent.

I do not see the resemblance to Aspen at all and I have not smelled Creed Green Irish Tweed. On its own, this is an amazing scent worth every penny and a safe blind buy. I am a little disappointed with its performance on my skin though. CDNIM performs much better for me as far as sillage and longevity, maybe it’s just on me.

It smells nice for what it is but the longevity is nowhere to be found. It is gone after 4 hours and sillage is within 1 hour. Wore it to work and asked the co-workers standing across from me if they smelled it and they said no. However, I sprayed 5x in the car right before entering the gym, hopped on a tread mill and an old lady to my left kept looking at me with that stare. The stare that resembles a murder face. Scary to be honest. :/ But anyway, this is just a gym fragrance or for small, closed area like a small office.

Fragrance to wear for YOGA Classes.
It is for a good-guy fragrance. A good family boy who obeys parents instruction and lives satisfyingly without any high ambition. A faultless guy who is not loved but liked by all.
I think Clark Kent must be smelling like this.
It is perfect fragrance when you come back to home in the evening from your daylong office work and you need to have some relaxation. Wear 2 sprays of this fragrance on your skin after taking a shower. Because at home, we don’t need to have something heavily screaming scents with spicy, leathery or tobaccy smell.
When you are supposed to visit any temple, mosque or church. Just wear it. Or you can also wear it at your Yoga classes (not at weight-lifting gym, mind well!)
This fragrance tries to give you some peace and calmness. And people around you would also be comfortable with your presence.
The first hour of this fragrance is dense green with some ashy touch. And the next hour it turns into light talc. By this time, it starts smelling like a very simple combination of lavender & sandalwood. It lasts around 2-3 hours with moderate projection.
When you smell it immediately after spraying, all the mixtures together of this fragrance create the smell like a drakkar blast. If you know the smell of drakkar then it will disappoint you little. I personally don’t like drakkar very much. But after 10 minutes the dense greenery starts to come out of it and it becomes likable to nose.
I would say it is must have frag in your collection. Don’t accept more from this fragrance.

Smelled a recent batch and it resembles GIT , but it is no replacement IMO.
I get a green, aromatic fragrance that is synthetic, but passable. The problems comes from this fragrance being more mellow, less bright and slightly more floral than GIT.
This makes the fragrance seem dull and more of a cold weather or rainy day fragrance for me.
I don’t like the quality of this even for 30 USD.
3/5 would rather get a decant of GIT or buy other great green fragrances like channel pour monsieur concentree or Guirlain Homme parfum.
The cheaper alternative isn’t always the better value.

As a response to the reviewers just before me. I had my bottle for over a year now and it still smells great, it hasn’t changed and there’s still enough for the whole year. It has great longevity and I don’t feel bad to go heavy on the sprayer.

This is a great spring scent and is fresher than a MF. I love the green and clean scent this one lays down.
First I’ll say, what a great presentation! The packaging not only catches the eye, but also the tactile senses with its fuzzy packaging. The bottle looks great too! More tactile appeal with the leather around the bottle and a very nicely detailed bottle with the information stamped into the leather.
It starts the show off with a blast of citrus and fresh notes! The initial spray, and not a dis, reminded me of Irish Spring a bit, but more like how Irish Spring SHOULD make you smell like that clean, green, machine you can be! It dries down to the floral, but not girly floral, notes. The sandalwood keeps the florals in check that this is a man’s scent. The sandalwood and light muskiness stick around well after I expected a lighter scent to last.
Projection wasn’t bad as it did well over an hour on my skin and then got closer. The overall scent lasted well into 8 hours for me! Absolutely great for a spring, clean scent. I’ve been wearing this all day and so far all three of my female coworkers complimented me. Overall I give it a 8/10! Cheers!

  42. :

Marine accord, lemony freshness, maybe some lavender and a touch of florals. There’s a woody, musky base that I’d attribute to the sandalwood and “ambergris”. To my nose the notes are a little compressed and all together TN is a little screechy. A bit artificial but not too bad. While I haven’t compared them side by side Cool Water and Green Irish Tweed are very similar.
Sillage and projection are average and longevity is pretty nice. I’m still smelling it at eight hours. Most ages can easily wear this; works in most situations; more suited for fall or spring. Unisex but a little masculine. The price is very reasonable especially when compared to Green Irish Tweed (a scent I’m not too impressed with either). All in all good scent if not a little boring, safe. It will smell nice to most people but lacking in character. The bottle looks cool!

When club kids are scraping pennies to shell out $400 for a cologne they think they need to compete I can understand, maybe even appreciate a quality clone.
When I was clubbing guys weren’t really competing on price to smell good.
You either wanted to smell like all the cool kids, or you wanted something unique.
Either way you were spending $80 tops.
Now with mass appeal ‘niche’ frags, I can imagine rich kids booming past with the Oud Wood Intense’s and Aventus’ could make a normal guy start saving up.
So having an affordable copy seems almost egalitarian in the same way 20 year old line cooks thinking they need to spend a weeks pay on cologne is elitist.
However. Green Irish Tweet isn’t a club banger. I don’t smell it at the gym, mall or restaurants. I smelled it once at an office party. And another time at a wedding.
I once thought I smelled it while mountain biking.
There are no windfall profits for GIT I don’t think. And sure, Aventus is probably making the company more money than they’d ever imagined, but there are a lot of bold Creed scents that I’m sure are just scraping by if not being subsidized by aventus.
Royal Mayfair, Bois Portugal, even original vetiver, are works of art that refuse to conform to fashions and surely suffer in sales for it.
If every one of their profitable scents is cloned then how do they keep bringing us these gems?
And besides. GIT has a ‘clone’. Or better a baby brother. Created by the same nose for a reputable and diverse fragrance house.
So bottom line. Hard pass on this one.
If you like GIT but can’t afford it then try a $20 bottle of Cool Water.

I got the much anticipated delivery of Tres Nuit yesterday, bargain at £20 for 100 ml; no batch number to check, bought in Amazon, made in France.
Did not like it at first, I like it a lot more now…
I smell bitter citrus leaves, grass, somewhat aquatic and fresh… Very light, very summery, very inoffensive… I can also see the comparison to “cleaning product” smell…
I own Cool Water and I can see some similarity in the “aquatic end” but Cool Water is far more sweet and has superior performance… This lasts around 1 to 2 hours (6-8 sprays) and it is practically a skin scent.
I have not smelt GIT so I cannot compare, but GIT is on my wish list.
I am growing fonder by the hour for this, but I prefer performance beasts which “scream”!!
    Do I regret buying it?
    Absolutely not!!
    Will I buy it again?
    At this price possibly yes
    Do I still want GIT?
At its price and if it smells similar to tres Nuit, definitely not! I already deleted GIT from my list! (please GIT owners do not slay me, I could be naive!…)
6/10 for me (if performance was better 7.5/10)

My opioion: creed git – tres nuit- cool water
CREED : shaper opening, much greener top notes, it would be like taking a pile of fresh cut grass and spraying it with cool water. Individual components much more pronounced, smells like higher quality ingredients. Middle note not as pronounced to me. I would describe as all treble and base, no mid range, musically speaking.
COOL WATER: more soapy, it’s the base notes of GIT mainly. The more linear scent here. Lavender is more pronounced. Softer projection from skin. If you spray large amounts in one spot you get a bit more closer to GIT, Causing The alcohol to carry the green notes better. Mono-scent. Becomes a skin scent the quickest. Shortest lived one.
TRES NUIT: take the top notes of Creed, soften them up, more creamier, it takes out that initial sting of GIT. A tab bit more lemon comes thru. Base notes and all components blended for that creamier effect. Slightly linear. Settles in to its body after about 45 minutes, Projects better than cool water so far. Very pleasant directly on skin almost right away. Smells different when sprayed on paper. You have to wear to appreciate. Certainly softer of the three.
Final note: all three are Similar. NOT identical. < understand that >All three can be appreciated. If you like this dna you probably going to love this one. I think it takes its cues from both. I would have to wear creed more, but as of right now, I’m voting for tres nuit. That may change one day. Hope this helps.

Just sniffed this and i have to say they are very close (Green Irish Tweed and tres nuit) the GIT is a little more harish on the green scent while tres nuit is a little lighter on the green side with just a hint of lemon on the back ground. Both are very nice smelling fragrances.

This is honestly its own scent. I sampled GIT, but strongly disliked the metallic notes because it gave me headaches; the only perfume I owned/sampled to do so. I read that this was an excellent clone of GIT and tried it to see if the scent was anymore wearable for me, and it is. Gone are the notes I dislike in the Creed and this one has become a solid favourite. I reach for it when going to work, or a casual scent I like to wear. It’s not GIT, and for that I’m thankful.

This definitely copied Creed Green Irish Tweed DNA. They smell clearly similar. Million times similar to Creed compared to Cool water.
However, this has harsh sweetness amd annoying lemony note that is not in Creed. It smells (to me) obviously cheap and synthetic with below average performance. Also The signature sandalwood/ambergris of creed is impossible to copy. Armaf club nuit intense man has very much closer drydown to Creed Aventus compared to this one to GIT.
But It is a good fragrance of its own given the price if you want to fill your cravings for original GIT. I didn’t like it and got rid if it quickly because I am used to wear GIT for a long time.
Maybe it is just my nose that cannot accept Tres Nuit.

I’m still unsure as to what I think about this. Although I haven’t tried GIT, I thought I would love this because of the green element that people talk about. I’m just not getting loads of ‘green’ especially when up close. I’m getting a sweeter spicy smell, slightly herbal and although it is nice I can’t help but associate with an old adidas body spray I used to use! Im certainly going to update my review in the future, but in the mean time I’m preferring Cool Water.

    Why not buy this cheapie?
    Body spray may be?
I like this fregrance, Good Aquatic, ozonic, floral fresh fragrance. No vibe of rose, vanella, smoky woodiness. Well rated, well performed budget perfume.
I have cool water, I never smelled Creed so I can tell this fragrance is different. If you are expecting a copy of Cool Water, no baby its something else. People are saying its a blend between Creed and Cool Water not sure but it does give a little aquatic vibe of cool water but its another thing.
Great thing about this perfume is that it has a better projectile and longivity than Cool w
Water and cheaper than it. To my nose it has much more notes than cool water, may be the floral group.
    Scent 7/10
    Projectile 7/10
    Longivity 6+ hours
    Vaule for money 8/10
    Should you buy it?
    Yes but
    Try before buying.
    Would I buy it again?
    Most likely no.

When I first tried GIT I was put off by a cloying semi-metallic note, probably the combination of lavender and violet. I tried it again and it persisted, I just couldn’t get past it. On a whim I tested this and liked it steaight away. This is better than GIT because it’s softer, more powdery and lacks that sharp note I find distracting in GIT. Admittedly this hasn’t got the projection or lasting power of GIT, but it’s not far off. Another quality clone by Armaf.

All I can say is “Believe the hype.” I just got this in the mail and immediately had to write this review. I fully expected this to be a one dimensional freshie like coolwater. It is 10 times better than coolwater or Aspen for that matter. I do not understand the comparison to Aspen but whatever. Aspen is a very green cologne in my opinion and this is neither green or blue. I guess I see why people are saying it has a coolwater vib
