Description
High-end Japanese cosmetics company Sensai announces the launch of its first perfume line. Since silk is used in all the Sensai products, the perfume line is named The Silk. In August 2015, The Silk Eau de Parfum and The Silk Eau de Toilette launches around the world.
Inspiration behind this perfume is the key ingredient of the brand – Khoishimaru silk. The scent represents a silk veil that emphasizes women’s beauty and character. Its fresh oriental composition is a combination of fruity notes, white flowers, amber, tonka bean and musk. It is signed by perfumer Marie Salamagne. Top notes include bergamot accords, pink pepper, pear and violet leaf. Veil around its heart includes notes of peony, lily of the valley, Sharry Baby orchid and amber. The base captures warm accords of tonka bean and musk.
The Silk Eau de Toilette is a fresh, delicate and charming aroma with prominent accents of white flowers.
The bottles are designed to reminiscent silk cocoons (designed by Gwenael Nicolas). Both variants are available in quantities of 50 ml.

Lighter and fresher than the EDP, it seems so elusive you almost don’t notice it. Although that may be the point of it, I regard it as too weak. However, for those looking for a scent that is simultaneously really elegant and very quiet, this could be the one.

I got it today from my son as a birthday gift 😉 It is lovely scent that unites sour and sweet notes in a way I like. This one is delicate and feminine. Warm and sweet notes are not overwhelming but keep a discreet intensity. Silk will fit to white “office” shirt and summer dress. It is more about woman that about everything else.

I liked the EDP version, so I tested this one too. I don’t think there’s much of a difference. They smell almost the same.
This one seems to be just a little less sweet and just a little bit more floral.
I sense less sweet orchid note, that I liked in EDP.
But I have the same words to describe it: feminine, close to skin and smooth.
It makes me feel cozy.

It’s fresh, but quite oriental, I can mostly smell a lot of amber, tonka bean, musk and pink pepper. Really nice fragrance in a beautiful bottle.

OMG! I just got preview sample for this. I always think: Can they bottle that fresh but very luxurious scent what they have their skincare products? I`m huge fan their skincare products, so I anxiously waiting this one for the market. So can they bottle it? Answer is: YES THEY CAN! It`s smells pure luxury, but fresh & pure. I definelity can smell bergamot and pear in it. Lily of the valley is the strongest note in the middle. In the end it`s warm and musky. I think I can use it around year, but it`s great spring/summer scent which suitable also for evenings. It`s not the most unique scent in the world, but I love it. Cannot wait to test EdP. Longevity is moderate, I can still smell it on my wrist after five hours. Sillage is moderate, not so soft what I first think. Bottle is nice, I love lines on the surface, but top is little bit tricky (stiff) when you open it, you have to be careful not to break it.
