a sharp, light, watered-down floral that is all LOTV in the top with a tiny teeny trace amount like a homeopathic remedy of galbanum, hyacinth, musk and sandalwood; worthless

aroma beautiful.at the start of the hearing the gentle fruit, maybe it smells green mandarin.aroma fades quickly and within an hour I did not feel even close to the body.would be stable would be pets in your recording, and another transient aroma.end without regret forget.

Beautiful, full, rich florals with a hint of greenery on first sniff.
Tuberose you glow in this fragrance like the true princess of flowers you are (Second only to the Queen, the White Lily, in my eyes and of course we mustn’t forget her sister, the other Princess the Rose, but that is for another time).
This fragrance (I have the edp) is just phenomenal. Very feminine, a bit mysterious and a little sexy on the dry down when you add that rich sandalwood and just a hint of musk to the mix. This is one of the few fragrances that I have been able to smell every single note on the pyramid.
I am in love. Longevity was well over 6 hours and I could still smell it on my cloths the next day. It’s not too close to the skin, I would say go easy on this one when spraying or it could get cloying for others. Reminds me a little bit of Anais Anais but more complicated and deeper.

This is a lovely light fragrance, very fresh and pretty. I get a lot of hyacinth and it’s perfect for today’s weather: a sunny, fresh spring day, not yet too hot.
But. I applied it, along with its body lotion, not 40 minutes ago, and already there is no trace of it. Not even the lotion. So disappointed. At least it is not too heavy to be reapplied throughout the day which is what it will need. Next time I will layer the body cream, body lotion, and scent and see what happens. It’s unlikely to be a repeat buy for me though with such poor performance.
Edit: layering didn’t work and I gave it away. It’s just not worth it.

This is such a gem. My mother gifted it to me and I already went through my bottle. If you like very flowery and fresh scents like the DKNY apples or EL Pleasures this one might be worth a try.
The review of sandrina_bambina is spot on “green and intoxicating hyacinth mixed with lily of the valley, rich, intensive, spring floral-green, so adorable, and perfectly feminine!”

I was very happily surprised at this gentle, subtly sweet fragrance. Hyacinth is a note that stands out. If you like light floral fragrances, this one is a steal.

The notes had been truly appealing, I adore hyacinth and lily-of-the-valley. So I bought 40 ml edp and it turned out to be really nasty on me, artificial and sour. Just annoying. I gave it away. Off-putting!

This is a slightly green, soapy, light floral. It has that very clean, just out of the shower scent. Hyacinth is the strongest note on me, but it is a soft blend of florals.

I can sense all the described notes, light hyacinth, jasmine, green mandarine…and yes, clover! Light, delightfully gentle, and even in the extract de parfum, still very transparent. The glass probe makes it possible to apply sparingly near the temples and hair-line. Bottle is very very cute. Enjoy everyone. A friend of mine said it reminds her of forest and Pino Silvestre:)

Bright white floral, probably too bright for me. I realize that I need my white florals to be fuller, rounder, more lush, or grounded with amber or sandalwood. This one doesn’t really cut it. It’s pretty though.

Even though this is classed as a womans fragrance I have worn it for many years.
The gorgeous green hyacinth notes are just amazing and last for hours.
I always get compliments when I wear this, such a shame it is hard to find in the UK.
I often alternate wearing this with “Gentleman” by Marbert which has similar green hyacinth & lily of the valley notes.
The body products in this range are excellent, however I couldn’t really tell the difference between the body cream & body lotion, they seemed to have the same texture.
If you can get hold of the shower gel, grab it,as it leaves the skin soft & moisturized and smelling so clean & frsh.

a friend recommended the extrait de parfum version. she told me it’s a totally different thing from its edt/edp version.
I haven’t got a chance to try the edt/edp, so I can’t tell if it’s really so. but for the parfum version, I think it’s a nice green floral. usually tuberose smells dirty rotten on me but this one works well, crystal clear and tender, with a smell of crashing a new picked floral.

This was a very nice surprise. I bought this perfume very inexpensively and it smells wonderful. I love florals, and this is a very beautiful floral. However, if you don’t like florals, I’d say that you wouldn’t like this one. I don’t expect a perfume with a man’s name to smell this lovely. Ha!

If this is the one I found at Ross (mine is a tall, thin bottle) I love it. It has the green notes of Sung and the sweet floral notes of the reformulated Beautiful.

If you want higher confident level in public. This perfume maybe suitable to wear. But not lasting in summer..lasting in winter.

I love this perfume so much, this perfumes smell like curious Britney Spears but this perfumes best than curious.

It’s a lovely fragrance, springlike and quite pungent at first; it settles into its work without grandstanding. In my collection I would compare it with Fleur de Cristal, Joy, Fleurs de Nuit (Badgley M) and First (Van Cleef & Arpels) There is no floriental in this. So few people are wearing these gossamer dreams it is actually ‘different’ to be the flagbearer. This season I’ve seen gorgeous little crochet white tops worn over a strappy singlet that would call for a return to a truly feminine fragrance. Girls, enjoy your unlined skin, your perfect arms, your slender fingers, your long, swan like necks and wear a fragrance that would have cost me three weeks wages for a absolute steal.

    I love this scent!
I honestly get no fruit in this at all. I get the smell of a dewy green hyacinth dotted with water then drizzled with cream (the tuberose). There’s a faint musky wood in the background.
The silage is moderate – you need around three sprays for others to catch a smell of this from you easily. Just right.

Just bought it, and I must say I was nicely surprised. Hyacinth and lily of the valley are very dominant. After a while they blend into each other with a certain sharp freshness and a hint of sweetness on top. I guess that mixture creates the association of pinaple. All in all it very nice, not brilliant, but definetly worth its money. I would call it a spring/autumn fragrance, probably very nice when it is a bit humid outside. I definitely don’t regret having bought it.

Some familiar fruit, I think it was pineapple from the very beginning, after a second a scent of hiacynth added, with a tiny touch of geranium. So far the composition is very light and not sweet, even having a rather sweet-smelling hiacynth. Then the composition is growing in a progressive order, doubling in volume and sweetness and loudness. It becomes a pure white flower scent with no separate notes distinguishable. The only slightly unusual note I could tell was an orris root note, I kind of didn’t expect this in a white flower floral.
The drydown unexpectedly presented a lily-of-the-valley note, which was discernible even in a crowded mass of other flower notes. Then it became quieter, close to the skin and pleasantly musky.
This Bill Blass Scent comes in a EDP concentration, and it shows – the sillage is a killer, 2 sprays were 1.5 sprays too much. I don’t like walking in a dense cloud of scent, but this happened to me with this Bill Blass. So if you want a super powerful white floral, here’s your contender.
A very nice scent all in all, just I don’t quite know when to wear it. I think winter is not the perfect time for it, it’s more suitable and beneficial for warmer months, maybe summer, but not in the July heat though. I want to try it again in summer and then decide on its destiny in my perfume wardrobe.

Very nice and simple. Sofr shiny hyacinth. Like nice spring weather when sun is shining and light wind brings you smell of the first flowers.

it’s last long in my skin, more than 6h through the rain.
i recommend to use it for rainy day. it’s perfect through the weather and make wet day more balanced.
    i like this

I think it’s way to light for me, just floral i don’t smell sandalwood or musk at all, when i spray it on,i just seem to smell some kind of a watery narcissus odor , I only can smell the fragrance on my skin for about 2 hours, then i nearly smell nothing at all. Perhaps Bill Blass red is more my kind of thing,it seems to be a woody fragrance, maybe i buy a bottle and test it,But Bill Blass original is a bit disappointing for me,it’s not a really cheap scent, but for my taste much to plain, not outstanding……..
Some day’s ago i wrote these words, and i must say ,I used Bill Blass original again some days, and I changed my opinion about it a little bit, Perhaps it took a while for me to appreciate the fragrance .First spray…I’m still not a big fan,but after a while, i really can smell a light musky note which i start to like,It’s still not a heavy scent, more delicate light.still not a headturning perfume, but not as bad as my first opinion

I had never heard of Bill Blass and bought this blindly based on the Fragantica reviews and the cheap price:
WOW! I must say it’s beautiful! It’s the perfect mix of lily of the valley, jasmine and hyacinth. Complimented with warm and sensual sandalwood and musk notes. I love it. So much so, I am getting a second bottle just in case they raise the price or it gets harder to find.
Highly recommended! I can’t stop sniffing my wrists when I wear this and people -constantly- ask me what I am wearing…..Wonderful!

I love this fragrance, white flowers, lily of the valley, but still fresh/green. For a sunny day, typical daytime fragrance. On some days the white flower scent (or is the galbanum, I am not sure) is too overwhelming for me, I have to be in the mood, but on most days I am. I find myself wearing this fragrance quite a lot! It was a blind buy, it is very cheap in the Netherlands at the Kijkshop at the moment.

Embriagador floral verde, explosión de tuberosa al principio, para convertirse luego en un ramo de flores dulce pero no empalagoso. Aroma femenino ideal para primavera. Gran poder de permanencia.

Never have worn anything bill blass, but at the perfume store I just happened to spot the bottle and sniff the top and it was a nice flowery scent so it was worth the spray and to my surprise it was really a nice (1st time green note for me)lightly sweetened delight I know it’s old school but it deserves to be in your fragrance wardrobe right alongside your diors, chanels,d and g, bvgari and for me the toccas, it offers such a nice change and lovely change of pace~ a pretty green floral but not overwhelmingly green~like it a lot!!!

This was a blind buy and even though I don’t regret getting it [I love trying/testing new scents :-D], it’s just very blah. It’s a mature, vintage floral that smells like sth a grandmother would love. It’s not fresh, quite cloying and there’s simply nth wow about it at all. I use it as an air freshener in my bathroom because it gives it a shabby chic feel. I will not be repurchasing it after it’s gone, nor will I miss it.

Well this was a bit of a shock. I ordered Bill Blass for Women and was sent The Fragrance by Bill Blass by mistake. (Whoever came up with this weird marketing/naming ploys has probably messed up quite a few birthdays and Christmases for signature scent gals.)Anyhoo, Since it had been opened and applied before I worked out that I wasn’t losing my mind I’ve worn it on and off to see what I think. While I frankly prefer the cleaner brisker BB for Women, this scent has many charms. It’s intensely sweetly floral–very much makes me think of tuberose and honeysuckle on a hot Southern night in Natchez or Charleston. Although I can’t pick it out I believe the galbanum is just cold enough to stop the scent from being cloying. I would consider this very romantic and quite formal, definitely not a jeans and grocery store kind of perfume. Quite a few people have described this as light so I’m wondering if there’s a significant difference between the EDP (mine) and EDT. I’m sure many younger members of Fragrantica would call this old-lady but as the years pass I’m more and more convinced that scents like this require a certain seriousness and self-assurance that only comes with the years. Recommended but no promise that you’ll like it.
    Sillage: substantial, 3-4 ft
    Duration: excellent
Fabulosity: Oh Rhett, Rhett, what will I do?
Value to price ratio: very good

Refreshingly cute floral with a lovely deep heart of fresh spring flowers. Not as heavy as you might expect with galbanum in the front row. A perfect day time scent for a bright spring day. Like all the Blass fragrances the sillage and staying power is great!

Strange, on my skin, as it has the soul of Marc Jacobs, amazing similarity! Bill Blass is somewhat airy and refined, light green and very pleasant fragrance to me.
