I love some Kyse fragrances but this is not good. I can’t get past the earthy note. It just smells like dirt to me. That note does not dissipate. Even in the drydown I still smell it.

Kyse Perfumes Terreno Dolce is exactly as advertised, an earthy, sweet fragrance that combines the former underpinnings of vetiver and oakmoss with the latter charms of immortelle and brown sugar. It’s effective blended, fostering a smooth, natural scent.
It’s not too earthy or too sweet, an effective blend. It should work reasonably well for men and women alike, and while it’s cold-weather-leaning, it’s not heavy enough that it couldn’t be enjoyed in warm weather too, so it surely gets points for versality.
I can’t say I’m quite as taken with it as some other offerings from Terri but I do like it a bit and might consider a small bottle to enjoy some more. As with any gifted perfumer like Terri, even when I don’t positively love a scent (as I do with J or Oui Plus), I can appreciate the creative skill involved in putting it together.
Check it out!

Another delicious offering from Kyse… I am reviewing the impressions of my first sampling and will come back later when wearing again in different weather.
This is a fragrance you must not judge at first sniff! I does come out a bit cacophonic (sorry) but after settling I find it is a wonderful take on immortelle and woods. For me, as I love immortelle, I can really sniff this note out from a mile away, but here it is given a whole new context. The vetiver, earthy notes and oakmoss act as the counterweight to the gourmand yumminess. I am reminded of looking at a hologram where you get two different image, depending on which angle you hold it at. If I had to compare it to anything out there, without ever doubting its unique appeal, it would be a combination of a sweet woody immortelle with a touch of vintage Cabochard – with its earthy, musty bitter edge. If this sounds good to you, I reckon it would be a rather safe buy. It really is a chypre for the gourmies (or the other way round).

Another day, another independent house. Once again, I’m faced with the impasse of “Is your fragrance worth my time?”
This is good…like really good! The immortelle is accelerated to the max and blankets the composition from start to finish. Although vetiver is voted highly for detection, the lushness is subdued by the complexity of aromas. The woody undertones assist in making this feel like something you can actually taste. Not as green as the accords may suggest, but you definitely know the verdant medley is present throughout. Overall, this is a outdoorsy fragrance wrapped in a gourmand burrito. Everyone has fragrant principles and if you live by them, 90 percent of decisions are already made. Based on my principle, this was an automatic buy.

Terrino Dolce
Kyse found a way to turn classical woody chypre notes into a gourmand that is fun, casual and new. A departure from classical structure and drama chypres of old, Terrino Dolce is modern gourmand chypre-ish scent. Its not completely classified as a traditional chypre as the traditional citrus, labdanum, oakmoss & musk accord is missing. Kyse twisted this into a creative modern gourmand chypre using brown sugar, honeyed immortelle, oakmoss, vetiver, earthy notes and woods.
A sweet brown sugar spicy earthy woody experience. Its fairly linear but the idea is wonderful. For those that shy away from the chypre genre..Terri pours honeyed brown sugar over any green notes to make this a warm earthy gourmand experience. A unique hit.
