Not as sweet as Intense Cafe and has a stronger coffee presence with a touch of hazelnut, very dark and well worth a look at for any lovers of coffee scented fragrance

Magnificent perfume and unique Italian brand, I also was in brussels Belgium just under a week ago and visited a very lovey Niche & Bespoke specialist perfumer called Perfumes d’Ambre whereby I purchased a bottle of the nobile 1942 fragrance but whilst I was there I was also checking out the other brands and the owner introduced me to this new fragrance from Carthusia Terra Mia. I fell in love with this fragrance instantly although I already new the brand as I also work within the Niche fragrance sector and had the opportunity to launch this brand almost a decade ago at a famous department store I used to work for in London called Selfridges. there are very few perfume brands witch seem to potentially stay out of the limelight brands like Carthusia since I discovered all those years ago and owned quite a few in the range and hopefully I will have this Jem soon to add to the rest of my collection. it is a truly unique blend of ingredients witch all fuses together to make this wonderful creation and lasting longevity on my body chemistry, the juice consist of bergamot neroli pink pepper arabica coffee hazelnut crème Jasmin orange blossom and absolute rose amongst other ingredients. its unlike anything else I’ve smelt for such a long while.

“What is that, vanilla?” I got asked immediately upon spraying this. “It’s better than your usual perfumes.” Well, I have heard that men prefer gourmands above all else.
I have to say I don’t like this scent. It smells very strange on me, far from a delightful gourmand IMO.

I find this one a little too sweet (like most Italian pastry) so have started to add a spritz of lemon cologne to freshen it up–maybe sacrilege, maybe okay as notes are reminiscent of Capri/Amalfi Coast. More coffee might have balanced it better for me, or maybe I’m just thinking about dessert. I liked it more on the tester than on my skin, so I might also just spritz it on a scarf. The Carthusian line is impressive and Mediterraneo is my fav.

@Silviaci explained it best to a T!
Terra Mia is a more refined version of Montale’s Intense Cafe. But in contrast to Intense Cafe, Terra Mia is suitable for both cold and warm weather (with exception of the summer heat).
A must-have for gourmand lovers, 8.5/10
Luca Maffei, we salute you!

Very nice gourmand vibe indeed. Flowers mixed with creamy coffee gets sour yummy delicious drydown. Longivity 3h with good projection, then 4h skin scent.
Great Italian shiny coast mood. Reminds me Hanae Mori HM, but with nuts & coffee instead chocolate note and more crispy.

This is the smell of a spring breakfast on a terrazza in Capri, or on a sea town in Southern Italy, where the smell of blooms from garden flowers mixes with the aromas of coffee and cream.
The initial blast of orange blossom and neroli are immediately followed by a round aura of hazelnut cream and an inviting hint of dark coffee. Upon drydown, the flower notes recede a little and you’re left with a nice, heating cup of cappuccino.
The best thing in this fragrance happens in the opening stage, with the unmistakable note of “Pastiera”, a typical Neapolitan cake with orange blossom flavouring that is eaten on Christian holidays like Christmas and Easter. This, and the amazing certitude of Neapolitan coffee, lurking so vivid and energizing, comforting and warming.
Sillage is reasonable, lasting power about 3 hours.
My only complain is that I can’t smell any Jasmine or Ambroxan or resins in this, otherwise, I’m fond of Terra Mia.
