There is something about this fragrance that makes me want to sigh. Contentment. It’s fresh, charming, and just a little bit cheeky. The rose takes centre stage at first, but then allows the lime to saunter up along with a lovely green ensemble. The tonka is light, as is the ambrette – this is after all a refreshing summer scent. It’s almost aquatic – a breath of fresh wonderfully fragranced fresh air. This one is going to get a workout this summer. When the temperature soars, this is the one I will be reaching for.
The rose note here is different to those I’ve experienced in other TRNP fragrances. It’s wild and untamed – no deep velvety red long stem. This is a rose scent I remember from my younger years in Alberta – the provincial flower is the Wild Rose. They grow in the wild – untamed – a small, pale pink almost translucent flower that has a scent like no other. It doesn’t scream rose, it wafts. This is so close to that wild scent.
In short – this is not just any rose perfume. It’s softly romantic, truly refreshing, and completely unisex. And it makes me just a little homesick.
