I also wish that there had been a tea note. In fact, I never smelled the faintest whiff of tea. It was all vanilla and butter cake on me. It lasted on me longer than Kirinie’s experience, and I was still smelling it on my arms when I went to bed. The problem that this fragrance presents for me is that I am not fond of most gourmand fragrances, and I can’t stand vanilla.

Love Smell Bent. Lots of choices for lots of tastes. I like this one, I agree kirinie that it is a foodie scent. Oddly, for me, the lemon cake smells like coconut. Once I read “lemon cupcake” the scent morphed to just that, lemon cupcake… but, again, oddly, when I’m not thinking about it, it goes back to coconut. Not for me, but might be right up someone else’s alley. Sticking with Chili Vanilli, which is another foodie. Vanilla cinnamon. I layer that with my CK Obsession!

I had really been hoping for a strong tea note, and sadly Tea House left me wanting. I did like the smell I got from it though, which was lemon cake with icing. I wouldn’t necessarily use a lemon cake and icing fragrance much, but it is a very delicious scent and it’s certainly pleasant. My main issue with it, aside from the lack of tea, was that it lasted very poorly on my arms. Temperature makes a huge difference with this one! The longevity on my chest was at least 6.5 hours (maybe even 7), although after 4.5 hours it was very soft and after 5 hours the lemon was gone. It doesn’t project much, but I did get lovely whiffs of it throughout the first 4 hours of wear. I think it would probably do better in warmer weather, despite how sweet it is.
At the price point I would probably recommend it to fans of pastry- or dessert-type fragrances, but advise them to be thoughtful with where they spray and try it in the heat rather than the cold. The liquid is light, so it’s also safe to use on clothing for more lasting power. The lemon cake smell is still going strong on my scarf over eight hours later.
