This is a nice, light, fake apricot fruity scent. Not floral, just fruity. Great for hot weather. It’s almost a body mist, not heavy at all. Gorgeous bottle, too. I have the music box edition, a really clever idea. Wish more perfumes came in music boxes.

All I can smell is the synthetic apricot note. There is no note pyramid, and this smells thin and watery, not rich and enveloping. No sillage, and weak longevity. Like most cheaper perfumes, it was gone from my arms in two hours.

This is gorgeous. I bought the original Taylor Swift purely because it was cheap, and boy was I surprised. This one hasn’t failed to impress me either. It’s very similar to the original, opening with that same peachy note. This one is much fresher, a little more green in it which makes it superior in the summer. What surprises me is this and the original are so much more grown up and sophisticated than other celeb fragrances. It’s sweet, but not sickeningly so. This and her original fragrance are hands down my favourite celeb scents, and they’re an absolute steal.

Synthetic and unoriginal smelling. Can taylor ever do anything original? This is exactly a dupe of justin biebers the key. Cmon.

This is a lovely scent. I agree with the review below mine. It is airy, fresh, sweet and deep without being cloying. It seems counterintuitive to be both deep and airy, but it is indeed both. I am obsessed and overjoyed that I just found a super cheap delightful scent.

Gotta say this happens to be my favourite Taylor Swift perfume. I happen to be a young male and Made of Starlight or MoS for short always grabs me compliments whenever I wear it.
MoS is a lighter, more airy, whispier version of Taylor by Taylor Swift with the apricot being more prominent and pronounced then the original. The addition of the honey suckle and other white floral notes that are lacking in the original, harmonise well with the apricot and don’t try and dominate or compete but enhance the apricot.
Silliage is great in my opinion. I wore this to work one evening when it was just the store staff when we were doing a Boxing Day set up on Christmas Eve so we had the store to ourselves and all the girls in the store all asked what I was wearing and said they could smell a really sweet apricot smell coming off me and my manager actually came over and sniffed my wrist. 8 had applied this lightly at least an hour or two earlier with one spray on my wrists and my shirt (so I hadn’t doused myself like I usually would) and from about one and a half arm lengths away my co workers could smell it off my wrists and shirt. I was really embarrassed to admit what I was wearing when asked as I always am when I wear women’s perfume, so I usually get flustered and pretend I don’t remember what I sprayed or I say it’s something like Black XS (smells nothing alike) or another fruity male fragrance.
I get about 5 or 6 hours out of MoS. The first 4 hours are nice and pronounced before it becomes a skin scent to my nose and need to reapply. I have had times when I have thought the smell had dissipated from my skin but others have still been able to smell it, so either my nose plays tricks on me or I just become accustomed to the scent I can’t smell it anymore.
I can’t remember how much I paid for it as I bought it last year off of fragrancenet as I’m pretty sure it isn’t made anymore due to it being a limited edition of Taylor. I really wish it were still produced but since it isn’t I use my bottle sparingly. Wish Taylor would make some more perfumes….
My ratings for this scent are:
    Scent – 9/10
    Silliage – 9/10
    Longevity – 8/10
I highly recommend getting your hands on this bottle before it gets to hard to find or becomes super expensive like other perfumes that aren’t made anymore.
P.S a guy can totally wear this, just own it if you do. You will smell amazing and honestly nobody will care about the name of the fragrance as long as you smell nice. I’m a 19 year old male and this is one of my signature scents I wear and it’s one of the biggest compliment getters I have.

I just got this perfume and have to say it has very good lasting power, which really surprised me! It smells very pleasant and breezy, and despite the fact you can certainly smell the passion fruit it isn’t a tropical scent. This isn’t just another generic celeb perfume in my opinion. It has its own character, like all Taylor’s perfumes. I recommend it because it is very good quality for its price, and it does smell memorable.

In this order: peach passion fruit musk.
A dupe for Justin Bieber the key.
A love for me if a juicy fruity laundry musk is your thing.
No resemblance to the original Taylor.

The original one is better. This one is nice but that is it. The original Taylor is more sensual and rich, this one is soapy and a bit generic. All i get is the Honeysuckle. No apricot, no passion fruit. Just well behaved flowers. It is ok if it is your cup of tea, but i find it unimpressive.

I’m a sucker for a good looking bottle. Based on the name I was expecting something glittering glamorous maybe white floral to stand for white stars (made of starlight) but this is just a lovely simple fruity scent. I get mostly apricot and peach. There is also passion fruit that smells like the passion fruit in my shampoo. There is a really nice orange blossom as the only floral scent I detect. The dry down is soft but very woodsy. This is delicate and girly and I love to wear it namely for myself to feel good and to smell like peach. This fragrance works great with my skin and wears better in spring time. Love it.

Just bought it a few hours ago. It’s a fresh scent and somewhat reminds me of sweet scented soap. Still on my wrist. It’s been 7 hours. I’m a huge fan of Taylor, her album Red dominated my 2012 and 2013 year and of course the song Starlight still makes me wanna dance. I’m happy to complete my Taylor perfume collection with this latest addition.
Oh one more thing. At times it might seem the box does not work.. it will only in very bright rooms or when you shine light into the glass hole present in the hinge after opening the box. 😀
    Hope you like my review!

I prefer this to the original edition of Taylor, as it is milder – if, like me, you are prone to migraines, then the original edition can be harder to wear. Having said that, I think this could have been it’s own pillar release as it has a quite different feel to the original.
The apricot is the strongest fruit note on me – well, I say strongest, but it is still pretty soft. The peach is listed as a base note, but develops straight away on me and lasts throughout the entire fragrance. The overall feel of the opening is fresh and sparkly, which I guess is the addition of the passion fruit and mandarin leaves.
The floral notes used are powdery and give the perfume a vintage feel, but are all together milder than the original Taylor. The honeysuckle is the strongest floral note on me, and the only other floral note that I’m sure I can separate is the orange blossom.
After another few hours the fragrance turns slightly creamier as a airy vanilla note develops. The combined powderiness of the floral notes & fuzzy fruits linger throughout the base too, and softly fade away with the airy sweetness, wood and musk base notes.
I wouldn’t say that Made Of Starlight is ‘wow’, but it is nice, easy to wear, has decent longevity, and can be worn most of the year, so I think it is worth picking up.

I expected this to be similar to Taylor, but I was absolutely wrong! Unfortunately, due to it being a Music Box gift set, there weren’t any testers available, so, based on my experience with the other TS fragrances, I bought it blind. This is absolutely nothing like the Original Taylor. To me this is citrussy – it reminds me of D&G Light Blue. I don’t mind it, I just don’t think it’s something for the Winter months. Maybe when the weather warms up, this will ‘feel’ better to me.

Gorgeous scent, long lasting, fruity- love the music box it comes in, only mine stopped working shortly after I bought it. Reminds me of long summer nights.

I bought the last two bottles of this at my local Target yesterday! The description of notes in this intrigued me. I am not a fan of country music (and I live near Nashville, go figure…) but I admire Taylor Swift. She is a gracious, hardworking and extremely talented young lady, and I was happy to honor her by purchasing this (my only “celebrity scent”). This is a delightful, fresh little scent. The opening reminds me of Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea, when Green Tea first came out; pleasant, uplifting, and calming. The title for this scent is very charming too (I have not heard the song…at least I don’t think I have). After the first hour it quiets down to a floral skin scent with a very soft trace of apricot; the osmanthus, mandarin leaf, and honeysuckle are a refreshing answer to and also temper the stone fruit, and that makes it unique enough for me so that I don’t dismiss it as another “meh”-type white floral or a wearable “fruit salad”. This is very charmingly done. I think this is suitable for a woman of any age. I also think this is safe for wearing in an office or classroom environment. The drydown is so pretty and light. It does have a “fizzy” feel to it (sorry, I can’t find a better way of describing it). I like to think of this one as my fizzy, giggly apricot/flower scent, much in the same way that I think of my bottle of Tocade as my fizzy, giggly vanilla scent (they do not resemble each other in scent, but they have the same happy, sparkling, mood-lifting effect on me). I was able to snag two of the one ounce size bottles, and not only is the design of the little bottle adorable, but it is small enough that I can tuck it into my handbag for a later-in-the-day spritz. This seems to be getting harder to find in stores (it is a limited edition), so I’d suggest you grab one before they disappear.

I just had to have it as starlight is one of my favorite songs on the album, I can see Taylor capturing that in this scent.
It’s Lovely! Very peachy and light. My fiancee says it is light too, but that is why he likes it. Bubbly peaches and champagne! (The champagne note im getting may be from the passion fruit though) I adore this perfume and it is also quite the collectors piece with the music/jewelry box included.
I was a bit nervous as Wonderstruck Enchanted, her second scent is my signature but the original Wonderstruck didn’t work on me. But this is amazing! I was contemplating buying Micheal Kors Very Hollywood as I wanted a fun daytime/afternoon scent, but I don’t see the need now as Made of Starlight is it! 😀 Just wish I had a mini to fit in my purse!

When I test perfumes I use my boyfriend for more wrists and elbows. He usually doesn’t mind, but he was not thrilled with this one. I find this one cloying and juvenile. It reminds me a bit of Michel Germaine Tattoo Pink bottle version or Issac Mizrahi Fabulous, both of which I like, except there’s something in this that throws it off.

  19. :

Tested this at target today! First of all the bottle is so pretty…i like the pink design on top of the bottle. Then when I sprayed it, the initial burst of fruity fresh scent reminds me of Island fantasy by Britney Spears…but that fades really fast then the florals starts to surface beautifully..very feminine and soft. I get a hint of sweetness in a very pleasant way. The drydown is powdery and musky which reminds me of Si by armani.
It lasts quite long in my clothes and skin.
It is really nice fresh fruity floral powdery fragrance that is reminiscent of a very feminine and sweet beautiful lady.
    Thumbs up! Good job taylor!

I wanted to come back and edit my review after I posted it a few weeks ago. The original is below but I wanted to add that honestly this is one gorgeous number. I am somewhat shocked for a celeb scent. It has tremendous lasting power. It’s a very soft light fragrance but it lingers for days on my clothing. I received a compliment from several people in a doctors office when I was wearing this. One lady said you smell so good what are yo wearing? This is up there with some of my favorites in my collection. I am not a youngin and it still works lovely on me.
I obtained this through a lovely Fragrantican. What a pleasant surprise. Made of Starlight is a truly gentle and safe scent. I sprayed liberally and several hours later am still getting lovely wiffs coming off my clothing. It’s comforting, soft, gentle, inoffensive. A definite keeper for me there is nothing really about this fragrance that I do not like that’s saying allot for celebrity scents. I think this can easily suit all ages. Thank you to the wonderful person here who offered this perfume to me.

This is my second review on this perfume, months after I’ve had it. I barely use this, because it’s too soapy for me, it does smell good though. This is similar to XoXo Luv, but Made of Starlight is lighter, and XoXo Luv is stronger which I prefer.

I was very fortunate to get this perfume 50% off the original price. Initially, I was only drawn to it because of the box. I have already smelled Taylor Swift’s original “Taylor,” and I wasn’t too keen on the smell. I found it a bit too powdery.
For this perfume however, when I first sprayed it on my skin, I get a burst of apricot & floral, nothing too strong. However, it settles down to a nice peachy light floral scent. Unlike her original “Taylor,” it doesn’t have that powdery type finish, and this perfume, i find, is a lot sweeter/fruitier and innocent than her original version. The longevity of this perfume is between moderate to strong. At the end of the night, the perfume is still there, but it’s very light. I’d say it last for about 6-8 hours, indoors.
I honestly got a lot of compliments from wearing this perfume.
I would definitely buy this when my bottle runs out!

Yum! I personally didn’t like the Taylor perfume half as much as the two Wonderstruck scents, but Made of Starlight is fresher than its predecessor (which I found to be sour and soapy) without burning my nose. I still wouldn’t place it above Wonderstruck and Enchanted, but it’s a yummy peachy-floral that, thankfully, ditched the tacky fake pearl collar on the bottle. For any lovers of peach and apricot, this is a big win.

I personally bought this fragrance only about a month after it released. I ordered it from the Macy’s website where it cost about 65 or 70$. I thought that it was going to be the same as the original Taylor by Taylor Swift, but when I got it I was suprised! I love the new fragrance, and I can really smell the peach and flowery notes, as well as some nice woodsy and musk notes in the base. I really love how light and sweet this perfume is. I also really love the bottle design, more so than the Taylor bottle. I also found the music box to be a bit annoying, even though I love Taylor Swift and her music and everything about her, only because the box is light triggered so if you turn on your light in the middle of the night, starlight plays. That’s my only complaint. I also got this in the 1 oz. bottle at TJ Maxx for 15$, and I have been using that one. I overall think that this is one of Taylor’s most under rated and strongest perfumes. I love it!

i finally got it!! i thought i can’t get it until the NYC trip next year!!!!
starlight is one of my favorite song from RED album, the bottle design and the scent are definitely match with the theme of “made of starlight”
this one is a lot fresher than the original one, definitely 100% for summer no doubt.
However, i think i would like the original one more than this edition because i think the original one matches my personality than this one. This one is very girly, fresh, and sweet, I can imagine a girl who loves pink would wear this; and the original one is more mature and really something for daily basis. But anyway, it is still a good perfume, and i can’t wait to see Taylor launch another perfume with whole new theme.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

Despite being the weakest of Taylor’s line, I still think it’s wonderful. Say what you want about her, but her perfume line is quite fantastic. She offers some unique, yet crowd-pleasing fragrance that last FOREVER. Seriously. Wonderstruck and Taylor both last an entire day on me, and they radiate like crazy. Everyone notices when I wear them. Wonderstruck Enchanted softens down quite a bit, but it still maintains a very warm, sweet floral spiciness that’s just wonderful.
And now we have this one… I can understand why it’s not the best out of her line, because it’s mostly a promotional limited addition that’s like an awkward stepchild flanker of Taylor..
But I’m definitely glad I got my hands on it. Starlight is one of my favorite songs by her, and the perfume captures the essence of the song perfectly.
It’s sweet, clean, bright, and sparkling. It’s the scent of having a wonderful time with someone special.
It offers a very nice blend of sweet, bright florals and charming, perfectly balanced fruity notes. It’s not cloying, it’s not sickly, and it’s not overpowering. There’s a rich honey-like syrupy accord from the apricot and osmanthus..and then the orange blossom, honeysuckle, and peach combine to give it a warm glow. The petitgrain, woods, and musk notes provide a clean, sparkling powdery sheen that gives a fresh finish. I don’t detect passionfruit at all, unfortunately.
Nonetheless, I find this to be a very charming fragrance. I would recommend it for fair weather that verges on the warm side. Too much heat could sweat the scent away, and a stark chill won’t allow the notes to unfold in the warm way that they would in fairer weather.
On me, it lasts several hours. Maybe about 3 or 4. It’s definitely the shortest-lasting fragrance of the Taylor collection, but I still think it brings enough to the table to be considered a success in my book.
I’m very excited for her next fragrance endeavor!

This perfume has very quickly become a favourite of mine, I’m a huge Taylor fan and I was concerned about this particle fragrance as I found Taylor by Taylor just too strong, it’s a lovely smell but literally more then 2 sprays and it gives me a headache so i have to be careful. This however starts off a lot softer with lovely notes of apricot and orange, I can smell the honey also hidden in the start which starts to bloom when it settles on the skin. Honestly so impressed with this and I think this has become my favourite Taylor Swift perfume!

  30. :

    4 out of 5

I can see the comparisons to this as a much more realistic (less cheap/sharp) version of Mariah’s Luscious. It smells like a juicy, sun ripened apricot and a glass of peach juice, w/ just a tad of the scent I associate w/ preppy girls (a clean white musk scent) beneath all the juiciness.
Really a delicious scent. Hope it lasts! Just applied 10mins ago and sillage is mod. at present…
Happy blind swap so far 😀
ETA: While it does have the juiciest, prettiest opening of stone fruits I’ve yet to smell, this phase lasts an hour tops. Unfortunately (and I know, it’s a celeb scent so I should’ve known) sleeping in this reveals that the far drydown is not very nice; it has the typical alcohol base smell of almost all celeb scents. Is it worth it for maybe 3 hours of peachy juicy goodness? That’s up to you, but I do get lots of compliments on it in the first hour, so if I want to wear I apply it JUST before going out the door when I know I’ll shower before the evening anyway. A good ‘out and about’ juicy fresh scent for this reason. [10.27.14]

This smells so amazing. Fruity and fresh, very pretty. I love it. I first smelled this at Ulta from a tester, but they were out of the perfume and since it was limited edition, I couldn’t find it. Well lucky me, I went to Ross a few days later and found a 1oz bottle for $15. I’ve been using it every day since and the other day at Kohl’s I was able to find the 3.4oz still in stock so i bought that too. I hate that this is limited edition because it’s one of my new favorites. It also lasts very long on me i can spray it on before work and get home 8-11 hours later and still smell it on me. I’m not even a Taylor Swift fan, but this perfume is awesome.

OHMYGOD this one is SOOooo yummy, really sweety and fruity. A very sweet syrupy passionfruit opening that dies down to a lovely apricoty-musk base.
Dispite the pricetag, i would definately purchase this…
    It’s a shame that it’s limited edition : /

First lets start with the bottle I find the design much prettier and more girly than the first so thats a plus now on to the perfume your pretty much getting exactly what the notes describe this perfume is basically a peachy apricot scent that has a slight bubbly smell to it aswell , the scent stays quite close to the skin without much projection at all , this is a quite uninteristing scent to me and I can’t imagine wearing it anywhere else but at home or to the supermarket if any of you live in Australia and remember the green Australis deodorant it smells very similar to that IMO , so if your after a light peach apricot perfume this is definitely for you

This perfume was an improvement to the original Taylor! The original Taylor still has a place in my heart, but ever since my bottle expired (poor treatment, lugging around in bags in cold/hot weather), i needed a new scent that was “me” and as soon as i smelled this i was reminded of Taylor, but a more youthful, fresh scent. Taylor makes some QUALITY perfumes! This is a must have, and AS SOON as my 1oz runs out i will definitely be buying the 3.4oz online!

  37. :

To me, this perfume smells nothing like the original Taylor fragrance! It is so much better! I would say this is the younger sister to Taylor. This is definitely a youthful scent. It’s fresh, it’s sparkling, it’s full of fresh fruit! At first spritz you get hit with a beautiful sparkling bouquets of juicy fruits! As it settles it becomes more floral and mature. Overall, I believe the scent is an improvement to the original. Not only by scent but by design as well.
The bottle isn’t trying super hard to impress you. It’s simple yet elegant. The design is more pleasant to look at. It’s not all in your face with color and pearls!
I would recommend this to anyone who found fault with the original Taylor fragrance! You won’t be disappointed! 🙂

Found it in TJ Maxx for 14.99$ /30ml/ Similar to the first Taylor but more soapy smell.
Edit:I have this for a couple days now, and it reminds me of Beyonce Heat Mrs.Carter Show world tour edition. Light generic soapy smell nothing interesting or exciting. I like the first Taylor a lot more, that one has a nice milky creamy drydown and more long lasting.

I really love this one. I knew I would just by the notes. I think this perfume starts out a good 2014 in perfume. I didn’t think 2013 was that great, there was a lot of stuff that came out that was repetitive. What I smell the most is Passion fruit ( which I love, the main reason why I wanted this perfume ) apricot, and peach. This perfume doesn’t smell anything like Taylor by Taylor Swift this is a totally different fragrance. I bought this at Ulta that’s the only store that I could find it at, and the store I went to only had one they do have a tester of this. Overall I give this fragrance 10/10.

  42. :

Very similar to the first Taylor perfume. Except this one is more simple fruit with a bit of fizz. It’s sparkling almost like there’s champagne in here. A pleasant fruity floral and I actually like this one better than her first one.

While I’m not a Taylor Fan I felt it was my duty to review this as it is already available in Australia. The bottle is the same as her last one with a pink paisley pattern on the top of the disc. The bottle feels heavy which is unusual for a celebrity scent. It comes in a pink box that plays one of her songs when you open it – sorry, I don’t know which one. The sound quality itself is a little dodgy but the gimmick is cute and I’m sure her fans will love it.
The fragrance itself is very sweet, floral and musky. As a reference point, it’s a bit like her first fragrance mixed with SJP’s Lovely and a pink bubblegum component thrown in. It could also be the younger sister of Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse. The lasting power is 6-7 hours, but the silage is more like that of a skin scent after an hour or so. A great perfume for the younger set.
Overall, a thumbs up from me. Will even buy when he price drops as it surely will.

Taylor by Taylor Swift Made Of Starlight is the first spin off from Taylor. This time the perfume is a more fruity sweet perfume. It is a very fresh scent and perfect for summer time. I love the pattern on top of the bottle but im upset that this bottle didnt come with pearls around the neck of the lid. I have the musical collectors box for this perfume and i LOVE it. I hope Taylor releases more perfume like this. This perfume gets a 8/10 from me.

I love it. The musical box plays Starlight by Taylor Swift when you open it. The bottle lays in pink silk (plastic underneath, not cushion) Smells more floral than the original Taylor. Taylor smells more bubblegum-ish. This scent smells like pink roses to me. Not sickly sweet or anything. Suprisingly mature. But still has that Taylor Swift smell to it.
Got my 50ml bottle for $55 on sale in Priceline AUS. Original 50ml is $65 and 100ml, $85.
I’m a huge fan, but for me none of Tay’s fragrances last very long for me.

I have this perfume already, and I personally find that this is my favorite Taylor Swift scent. The scent is very fruity, and you can really smell the apricot in this scent. I have had this perfume for a couple of weeks now and I am really enjoying it.

YES. Starlight was my favorite song from Red…and since the song itself gets almost no love, thanks to the failure of her relationship with the Kennedy kid whose family the song was written about, I’m glad this fragrance exists to commemorate such a gorgeous song! 🙂
The bottle is brilliant. Absolutely cute, adorable, sparkling, and beautiful at the same time. The notes make this sound very glittery and fresh. I’m sure it will be perfect for spring.
EDIT: Just ran out and got it. Very fresh, sparkling, fruity, and fizzy. Straight-up apricot and peach, with some noticeable honeysuckle/orange blossom/passion fruit. It’s the same type of fragrance as “Taylor,” but it doesn’t have that sweet, creamy sort of marshmallow smell like Taylor does. Rather, it’s more focused on the fruits and the florals. Very nice!
