First off, I have to say that I have yet to meet anyone that doesn’t like this perfume. I bought the EDT off ebay for dirt cheap. EDT Tahiti Island Dream stays on your clothes and your skin like a dream. My ex boyfriend described this as “a vacation in a bottle”.
It’s tropical without being overwhelming. No smell of suntan lotion here. The coconut note is definitely pronounced but it’s a creamy kind of coconut that blends beautifully with the other notes. The dry down is lovely. The amber meshes with the vanilla and musk in a way that is very pleasing. Sometimes amber can be a tad overwhelming but the way that this is blended makes it so that it this combination compliments each note evenly. I love to wear this one in the summer yet I spend all year yearning for it. Layering it with Pacifica Waikiki Pikake lotion is lovely. I find that the THD regular lotion has no staying power so I opt for it. Gorgeous. Will buy again and again.

I have the cream and lotion. It smells nice in the bottle, mostly floral. The problem is when I put it on my skin,it has a strange play doh after smell and makes me feel nauseous. Perhaps it’s just my skin. I think sadly, I may have to give it away.

I bought the spray and body butter based on the incredibly positive reviews on Fragrantica, and… And I can smell no coconut here, whatsoever. It is true that the fragrance is tropical and summery, indeed, but on my skin it’s more airy or watery summer, not the beach-holiday-coconut smell that I was hoping for. Moreover, the longevity is zero; the scent disappeared after an hour. Very disappointed.

    Tahiti Island Dream
I have sampled 17 scents from BBW. I found a local online store here in my place that sells carefully decanted authentic mists and perfumes and this is the first time I’ve tried the brand.
Out of all the vanilla and coconut scents I could detect from the fragrance mists of BBW, this one is a favorite! With just the right amount of coconut mixed with the perfect sweetness of tropical fruits and flowers, this is the one! Actually, it’s more on the fruity side but it’s different! It smells amazing! The is a surprise to me because I’m not a fruity kind of girl. At first I thought the mist was more likely suitable for men but then I just couldn’t resist how it smelled on my skin. This is perfect for summer and I could definitely see myself using this all year round because of its light and refreshing scent.
But as expected with fragrance mists, sillage and longevity are average/below.
    Scent: 9.5/10
    Longevity: 5/10
    Sillage: 4/10

This parfum I buy at the mall Bath And Body Works is so pretty. Soft, clean, fruity. Smell of kiwi fruit coconut and vanilla. Not so much coconut but I smell delicious vanilla. Is powdery when dry with some musk amber and sandalwood. Easy to wear. Smell like good sun tan lotion on my skin. I have the parfum and body lotion which you can buy together in the Bath And Body Works store. Good for spring and summer especially in summer when is hot. A sweet and delicious parfum.

I had the body mist version of this, and I’m not sure how or why, but I just kept smelling plastic. Nobody else got that out of it, but I couldn’t smell anything but plastic. When I first applied the body lotion, I got a whiff of licorice. I know. I tried to love this, because based on the notes and the rave reviews, it should have been a must-have for me, but I just couldn’t enjoy it. Returned it for a refund 🙁

This is what I wanted from CK Eternity Now!
It’s a gentle white floral and coconut without being overly sweet or cloying. After about 10 minutes following the initial opening, the vanilla makes a debut! The ingredients come together so well without smelling cheap or alike to scented sunscreen lotion. It’s a perfect blend for the summer!

I think that this scent has all the elements of a beautiful summer day. It’s warm without being cloying, it’s sweet and relaxing. There is hardly any floral that comes through and it leaves plenty of room for warm coconut and creamy vanilla, like an ice cream cone. This is so lovely for a girly summer day, to be paired with sunnies and flip flops :^D

I love this Tahiti Island Dream on shower gel version. When it comes to perfume and body mist, it’s too floral for me. And I didn’t find any coconut fragrance in it. I prefer Coconut Lime Breeze.Well, I didn’t say this one is not good. I love the smell, but just when it comes in the shower. The body mist is perfect for sunny day on the beach tho. It’s really represent island smell.

This scent smells so good…it’s one of those ones where you cannot IMAGINE someone disliking it lol.
Smells very similar to Waikiki Beach Coconut by the same company…this one just has the slightest bit of difference in the warmth that the vanilla brings to the table. But gorgeous and the Waikiki beach coconut only comes in the 1 ounce bottle whereas this has the 1.7 ounce bottle. I use up 1 ounce so quickly so that frustrates me with that one.
Anyway, gorgeous juicy, coconut fragrance that really is summer and happiness in a bottle. And speaking of that, the bottle itself is very easy on the eyes. Color theme is perfect at representing the scent itself also. Smells exactly how I imagined that it would.
Snatch this one up before Bath & Body Works discontinues it like they do with all their fragrances, (no matter how good they are.) 🙁
    Scent Itself – 10/10 <–Rarely do I say that.
Longevity – 5-6 hours depending on quantity of sprays.
Projection – Very good as with most coconut based scents. About 4 feet projection.
    Overall Rating – 9.5/10
Most deff worth the small price tag for the 1.7 ounce perfume. Gorgeous gorgeous scent! Signature scent worthy in the warm months! No doubt about it.

The lovely bottle with crystal ball stopper stared at me from the window of the Bath & Body Works in our local shopping mall. My daughter and I walked in there together. There was a bottle of this fragrance on a shelf with a little note that said TRY ME so I did. I spritzed the scent on my wrist. I waited for it to settle a bit and then took a whiff.
This is such a nice scent. It smells like a lot of vanilla. It’s delicious gourmand’s vanilla. The vanilla reached my nose first and then I was able to pick up on other notes. It’s based on vanilla but it’s not a sugary sweet vanilla. It’s like crème de vanille. It’s a brown vanilla cream. The floral notes include frangipani which is another term for tiare which is a native Tahitian white flower. No wonder they are calling this Tahiti Island Dream. It smells like a beach on Tahiti where coconut trees abound and frangipani tiare flowers.
The coconut is sweet and milky, and it’s mixing and mingling with only the faintest trace of mandarin orange and citrus, and pear. It’s not too fruity however. The coconut and vanilla are totally in synch. It’s warm, tropical, spicy and creamy. It was not made to throw out maximum sillage or projection. It is hardly detectable on someone else unless you’re tasting their skin. It’s a soft fragrance.
Easily unisex even though it sells for women. There’s nothing feminine nor masculine about it. To me it’s just a simple linear scent of kiwi, coconut, vanilla and tiare. Really nice perfume. I wear this in the summer to the beach with a sundress or bikini. I also wear this to pool parties. My hubby Scott loves it on me.

This is a very nice scent, but painfully weak in it’s sillage and longevity. I doused myself in this perfume and it was like I hadn’t put on any perfume. I know that my skin chemistry usually responds very well to tropical perfumes with coconut, white flowers of gardenia, tiare, frangipani and jasmine, and vanilla but this was a bit of a disappointment. The only scent I could detect was a kiwi-vanilla. It smelled like fruit cake, like a kiwi based fruit cake with vanilla. I would agree that it has a sun tan lotion effect but nowhere near as amazing as Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess. This is not tropical enough for me but admittedly it is sweet. If you like vanilla based perfumes, this is really delicious vanilla. I also do like the frangipani. The bottle is lovely and this comes in a small size I think it’s no bigger than 1 or 2 ounces so it’s easy to carry around with you when you travel and fits in your handbag. This smells great when mixed with the body lotion, shower gel, and shea cream, so whoever made this perfume clearly wanted you to wear it as an after shower scent and to wear it when layered with the other skin care products. It’s not my favorite from Bath & Body Works but it’s nice for the summer. My absolute favorite tropical scent from B&B Works is Oahu Coconut Sunset which kicks this little perfume’s butt.

Fragrance Review For Tahiti Island Dream
    By Bath & Body Works
    Top Notes
    Coconut Kiwi Pear Mandarin Orange
    Middle Notes
    Frangipani Water Lily Jasmine
    Base Notes
    Musk Sandalwood Amber Vanilla
Bali Hai whispers on the wind of the sea Here I am Your Own Special Island Come to Me Come To Me –
    Bali Hai from South Pacific
This is such a beautiful little fragrance. It’s like Jungle Gardenia for 2016, without a strong projection and without the mature connotation. It’s all about the white island flowers, like little gardenia and jasmine petals scattered onto a lake in Tahiti. It smells exactly like a beach in Tahiti, and evocative of a beach landscape painting by Gauguin. The bottle is attractive with it’s aqua blue colored liquid and the crystal stopper. The scent itself is not thrilling but it’s not meant to be. It’s like a little whiff of an island that does not exist (hence Tahiti Island Dream).
The vanilla is the dominant note and there’s lots of vanilla. Bath & Body Works has played around with vanilla in other formulas for their frags like Warm Vanilla Sugar but this, this is such a gorgeous vanilla. It’s rich, creamy, and like they are literally putting vanilla cream on your body as a sun tan lotion. I must say that I wanted to get coconut out of this but it’s such a small dose of coconut. If you put your nose into the scent long enough you will get a milky sweet coconut but it’s not the key player. The white flowers and vanilla pairing take over the entire scent.
A frangipani tropical plumeria gardenia white flower is here, not extravagant nor as heavy as a white floral tuberose or plain gardenia, but more like a baby plumeria, beginning to blossom, and detectable through the vanilla butter. It smells like the skin on a Tahitian island girl. She smells of all the scents of the islands: the coconut water, the plumeria, the vanilla. There’s very little jasmine but it’s silky and smooth and I can certainly smell it amongst the gardenias.
In addition to the flowers, there’s a sweet fruit scent, a mixture of very faint mandarin orange, and delicious kiwi, like they poured some kiwi juice into the perfume and it only provided it with such delectable richness when it met with the coconut. It smells like catching whiffs of coconut trees and whiffs of shrubs that grow with plumeria.
There is also a strong image that comes to mind every time I smell this and wear this: sand. White sands. Lots of white sandy beaches and shores. It’s like a long walk on white sands in Tahiti. The scent is perfumed white sand on your skin. Absolutely beautiful.
For those of you who call this tropical, it is tropical but it’s more a beach perfume for the summer and you don’t have to be in Tahiti to wear it. If you wear the matching shower gel even in the shower you can smell like you’re in Tahiti, and then add the shea body cream, or a matching coconut scented body lotion, and it’s Heaven. The fragrance is lightly textured and delicate and it need a push for projection. This is a great scent to layer it with other tropical perfumes.
If you like frangipani, vanilla and coconut, this is going to delight you in so many ways. At the very end I also could sense a very smooth clean amber. Gorgeous. It’s fun to think of places to wear this. I don’t really care for the beach but in the summer I escape to Long Island or other islands around the world, usually around my birthday, in order to relax and get some sun. It’s a perfume to put on while basking in the sun at the beach. It smells of the summer time and the endless stretches of shore with hot white sands.

I have the Eau de Parfum and the matching Shea butter body cream. Tahiti Island Dream is a good choice for a Bath & Body Works personal perfume although there are better ones out there. Longevity and sillage could be better. I couldn’t count the minutes it was on me but I had to reapply very often every hour. This is a light fragrance mist and not a full bodied eau de parfum. Such a shame because it smells really good. This is a very easy to wear sun tan lotion type of a scent. It smells exactly like a Trader Joe’s Shea Coconut Body Butter I have! Now I can wear this with both the Bath & Body Works body cream and the Coconut Body Butter. I believe I’ll end up smelling like someone poured coconut oil over my whole body. The coconut is pretty subtle. It’s there alright but it’s hidden under loads of vanilla cream. It’s a sweet milky coconut and vanilla fragrance. In it’s mix are white florals: gardenia in the form of Tahitian Plumeria or Frangipani which is a white gardenia flower with 5 star shaped petals. It’s an island flower that grows abundantly in the Polynesian islands like Tahiti but also in Hawaii. If you like gardenia or plumeria/frangipani this contains a very sweet version of that flower. This is not very fruity although I can detect a touch of kiwi and pear. The whole thing is mainly coconut, frangipani and vanilla. It feels creamy, gourmand, and delicious. It advertises as a tropical paradise perfume but it was way too light and over to soon to be a real tropical fragrance. It’s not even suitable for room spray or air freshner. This is pretty cheap but it smells really good while it lasts. Reapplying is not a problem. I really also like how the design of the bottle stands out. Walk into any Bath and Body Works and the other bottles look like body spray bottles in a rectangular shape, like hair spray bottles. This one with the glass topper that looks like a magic crystal ball in a fortune teller’s shop stands out. It’s very attractive. It has a piece of green cord tied around the stopper. The liquid is a sea water blue. It smells like the beach. It’s a sun block sun tan lotion smell and something to wear on vacation in tropical destinations like the Caribbean islands, Hawaii or Tahiti. It’s a summer time fragrance. It just screams: take me with you when you’re out there on that warm sunny beach in Aruba. I wish this fragrance could last longer and feel more full bodied but it’s fine as it is too. Lovely.

Excellent blend of orchid and vanilla, with coconut thrown in for a good measure. Sweet and piquant, one of the more noticeable fragrances from Bath & Body Works. I always got a lot of compliments when I wore it.

This is the kind of coconut scent that is tolerable and not offensive. It is light and sweet. How I wish I bought the big bottle instead of the cute one.

SuzyBee, Bronze Goddess is quite a bit different than this. Both are warm and summery, but Bronze Goddess is that iconic coconut and sand scent of summer. To me Tahitian Island Dream is very nice, but more similar to Viva La Juicy. The coconut while there, is not as prominent. Bronze Goddess is also very heavy on tiare, the glorious white floral note almost overpowers the coconut. Maybe you have smelled Bronze Goddess vs. TID, but if not, I just wanted to expand on the differences. Either one is lovely, just depends on what your ideal summer fragrance is!

One of my favorite scents from B&BW and really works well on my skin. I’ve stocked up on this whenever they have the buy 3 get 3 free sale comes around because I’m afraid, like all of their products, it will be discontinued.
This is the perfect Summer scent with creamy white tropical flowers, coconut water, and vanilla. I’ve considered buying Estee Lauder’s Limited Edition Bronze Goddess just based on reviews I’ve seen and read, here and on youtube.
But then, again, I imagine, Tahiti Island Dream might be on par with Bronze Goddess as a beachy vibe, hawaiian vacay skin scent.

Oh wow, this scent is addictive to me. This is a scent that causes me to constantly smell myself, sniff my wrist probably looking ocd to other people! Tahiti island dream is a perfect tropical blend of vanilla, coconut water, kiwi blossom, pear, plumaria abd sandlewood! I don’t really smell jasmine but that’s ok. My only complaint is that i wish it was sold in 3.4oz bottles because i go through it fast and for the price i was hoping for better sillage and longevity. Since becoming obsessed with this scent I’ve been on a hunt to find a perfume that smells similar to this but with greater sillage and longevity, if anyone knows of a perfume like that please let me know! !!

Tahiti Island Dream smells really delicious. It smells like a creamy vanilla coconut. Very tropical island escape. I like how it has a scent of tropical florals and woody notes along side the main star: Creamy vanilla Coconut Milk!!!

    just bought the lotion
love the light blue sea colour
it is like an island dream
its yummy ,,, BBW have the best moisturizing lotions ever …….I think they have an award for using the best shea butter quality in their ingredients
    anyways back to the fragrance
It’s a coconut fruit cake sent & sometimes I sense a hint of mango as well although its not listed in the notes
I’m pretty sure its gonna be even more yummier in a cookie scent once the weather starts to be cold
ps I am in Australia so the seasons are vise versa to the rest of the world 🙂

Tahiti island dream is a dream come true! It’s not just a sweet or fruity type like any of B&BWS other scents,I hate perfume that has poor longevity or silage but with this perfume maybe 4 hours max on my skin&I still love it,when I first smelled this scent it was in the bodymist which ummm was okay, but when I first smelled this in the store oh my coconuts&vanila!!! This ;-)is a dream come true it smells real&perfect with its coconut &vanilla orchid, kiwi&other notes dancing so beautifully,it stopped me in my tracks,it’s the first time I smelled a cperfume with coconut that smells like real coconuts&I have a friend who is very picky&she is the type unless it smells real she will not like it,I suprise d her with a bottle on her birthday &she loved this&honestly I got a a lot of compliments while wearing this! Even if I didn’t it smells like creamy crushed coconuts&vanilla with a very faint hint of a floral, just a tahiti island dream come true&I’m probally going to purchase a bottle in the winter that’s how good this perfume is,like flying in the dream clouds, lol, can’t get enough, thank you bath&bodyworks! This&forever red beautiful 🙂

When I sprayed this on a card, the drydown was amazing, a creamy coconut scent with hints of musk and gardenia. Unfortunately, on skin, it smells too much like fruitcake from the oven. I’m regretting my choice to buy this over A Thousand Wishes.

I did not originally like this fragrance, as it seemed just like a common summer fragrance that did not last. At second trial, I decided I liked it enough to buy the creams. It is a nice enough fragrance. However it does not last long. The one thing I find unusual about it is it smelled like something I could not put my finger on that was not pleasant. I finally figured it out. It smells a whole lot like new PLAYDOUGH. I will still use it though. But I can’t understand why Bath and Body would want to make it one of their expensive fragrances, and not make all those new Hawaiian fragrances into bigger bottles that would extend past the summer season, as I love all of them way better. When my creams are empty of Tahitian, I will not repurchase.

One of B&BW’s best summer fragrances in a while. Although the drydown is more or less a soft vanilla the beginning and middle accords are so nice and perfect for summer. A new fave.

refreshing fruity floral BUT ends up smelling like a candle or like Forever Red. The same issue with B&BW perfumes, they all smell like vanilla scented candles, not a perfume kind of scent but something Id spray my room, office or car(only sweet pea, beautiful day and mad about you smell truly unique to me and escape the typical sugary sweet B&BW base).

This. This is one that I sprayed on my arm in passing, on a day when I had been testing many perfumes. I sprayed it on one of the last empty spots on my arm and didn’t give it a second thought. Later, I was smelling this beautiful creamy scent and was sniffing my wrists and elbows trying to find out what it was, and I was very surprised when I found it was this! I went back a couple days later and purchased the perfume, mist, lotion and body scrub. I love this scent, it is very well done. I hope they bring it back for future summers.
