Bath and Body Works celebrates warm summer days with new collections created specially and inspired by enjoying the beach and the sun. The collections are available in lively colors and offer a wide range of body care products. They were introduced just before Summer 2014, and each of them contains body fragrances in flacons of 236 ml (8 fl oz), accompanied with perfumed shower gel, body lotion and cooling gel lotion. Each of the four collections was named after some aspect of the relaxing summer days, vacation and pleasure.
SUNSET BY THE POOL opens with a summer cocktail of sparkling notes of apricot, bergamot and grapefruit. The heart adds lily of the valley, Mirabelle plum, blood orange and apple blossom resting on sunny wood and Madagascar vanilla. The fragrance conveys positive summer atmosphere accompanied with a smile, pleasure and good music, with a composition accentuating sunny accords conveyed with scents of juicy apricot, blood orange and woody sun-warmed notes.

I can smell a sweet, freshly washed apricot. It is a very safe scent. Not spectacular and a bit common.

Love the passionfruit and woods in this. The woods note emerges as time goes on, reminding me of the feeling as the sun goes down. I feel like throwing this in my beach bag for my next vacation. Maybe a little too young for me, as most BBW scents are, but I don’t care. Unlike their others, this doesn’t smell overly synthetic on me.

Sunset by the Pool is a gentle fruit floral scent that’s well rounded. Perfect for warmer and casual days. Sadly, it’s discontinued but a remake in the form of Georgia Peach appeared this summer. Look for it at B&BW Winter Semi Annual Sale if you like this fruit floral concoction.

A nicely blended mix of beloved notes…fruity at first, but never sharp. Quickly after the first spritz, soft powdery gentleness begins to harmonize with the mild hints of fruit. Barely there as time goes on, but just right for times when you really crave a softer fragrance. Not overly sweet, but just enough sweetness. A great weekend/casual Go To scent.
