Summer love of the 60s-70s.
This hippy as i can sense the years of hippies, and hippy music, and the hot summer nights.
Patchouli, amber, & sweat.quite simple and put.
I sensed from Niel’s creations is that his fragrances are new fragrances in a vintage frame, his technique is to keep the vintage aspect on all his creations. I really don’t know wither if he meant to do so & this is his technique and like to keep it classic rather than modern, or maybe he is trapped in the vintage frame & the past era! i personally like this technique allot and would love to see Niel going modern as well and try to get out of the shell that he is trapping himself in. I know that he traveled allot back then (70s and 80s), but today there are a much richer places to visit in order to come up with new modern creations that will shake up the world & put him on top of today’s perfumers.
I still see Niel overly underrated but it remains his fault, and i don’t mean that he should give up his current and historic techniques, or go commercial to be on top, Never! i meant that his experienced mind can create a much better hit than “Nur”, & “Black Afgjano”, you just need to update your assets and widen your horizons and never say no cause life is short and people ALWAYS awaits for new best thing to come.
Eventually, i wish that he creates some new gourmand fragrances, beach side fragrances, modern club scene, white flower in a dry desert, or describe today’s atmosphere in a bottle. I’ll keep on testing the rest of his fragrances soon.

This one I don’t like at all. Dirty patchouli. Yes, hippie, but who tf wants to smell a dirty unwashed, patchouli scented hippie?
I ordered the samples maybe 4-6 years ago and now I really see, how my nose developed and I am able to appreciate NM frags much more. All the frags I smelled are strong, stinky and really like from a bygone era. Vintage lovers should look deeper into Neil Morris frags, if you ask me.
But Summer of Love I didn’t like some years ago and it didn’t change.

This perfume is definitely unisex in its feel, which I tend to prefer. It feels like a cozy embrace, very warming. The combination of musk, amber, cedar and patchouli is just right, none is dominating the other. The scent is rich without being aggressive. A gem.
