This is an all natural/organic fragrance. I bought mine at Natural Grocers and I love the scent! It is certainly in the sweet category. I love perfumes with citrus and this is a beautiful smelling sweet grapefruit. It doesn’t have that generic vanilla smell. It smells exactly like the name Sugar Grapefuit. There’s no chemical, plastic or synthetic vanilla smell here. It really does smell like a slice of ripe grapefruit sprinkled with sugar. The bottle is cute and pink. This brand has other scents too ( the Honey Coconut is just as good!) I have the small bottle and the large.
I will say when you put this on it is strong. You really smell it. It it wears off quickly. I would say maybe two hours tops. I reapplied it once during an eight hour shift and by the end of the shift couldnt smell it but a few people could. They asked me what it was and it was a lingering scent that a few thought someone had brought lemons or fruit in the break room!
I would repurchase this (I have no shame whipping out my perfume and spraying or carrying the full size) because I just adore the smell. I’m going to purchase a few more as well.

The opening is really sour and awful, but the dry down smells like DKNY Women. Good if you want a sporty, inoffensive fragrance for the warmer months. The bottle is cute, but doesn’t really match the scent, IMO. Sillage and longevity are fairly weak, as with most of the Love and Toast perfumes.

    “A childs favorite smell”
A overload with sweetness and sugar. Just want to eat my arm. Even tho I am not a child.
Fits everyone with a sweet tooth.
On the plus side this is classified as a organic product 🙂

I love the smell of grapefruit. I live in Florida and my neighbor has a grapefruit tree. I love perfumes and have all kinds. This is sunny and happy, not complex. Sometimes it’s just what you need to get going on a winter morning when spring is just around the corner. I ordered the body lotion, which I hope will help with longevity.

This is delicious — the bitterness of the grapefruit is almost immediately tempered by a very sweet orange. It is a lovely mix of grapefruit and orange, and then in the heart a strong floral note of the lily comes in. The lily is sweet and natural and blends in with the citrus very well. It makes it a more complex scent than a lot of the citrus based scents out there. Good for casual day time or office wear. Lasts about three hours.

L&T Sugar Grapefruit is a shower of happiness. It opens with a fresh, ripe, juicy pink grapefruit with a little sweet orange to soften the edges. The citrus settles down on the skin pretty quickly to let in a bit of warmth from the lily and musk. A bit of optimism and energy for your day.

I just got a bottle of this scent today and I have to say the first blast made me giddy with happiness. Wow. Now that is a gorgeous, fun and sparkling sugared grapefruit scent. I’m not sure I liked the dry down but I’ll wear it tomorrow and see what I think. And this, of course, has made me feel I’ve got to get some samples of some of the other Love + Toast fragrance line.

    typing on keyboard *tap-tap-tipitty-tap*
*stops… deeply inhales ruby red, tangy, tart, HEAVENLY sugared grapefruit, closes eyes, travels to some hidden place inside my own head*
    INNNNHHHHAAAALLLLLING… *smiles*
*opens eyes, sees everyone else in the is office staring at me.. *

gets back to work …. *tap-tap-tipitty-tap*

This is almost 100% ripe red grapefruit, but it is glorious. The scent is extremely intense for the first couple of minutes, but it settles down quickly into something you can only smell quite close to the skin. This unfortunately doesn’t last very long, but the shea butter handcreme is equally fabulous, and layering the two can extend the scent a bit.

This perfume smells just like Orange Fanta, and in the best way. Love & Toast Sugar Grapefruit is super juicy and sweet in that artificial soda pop way. I would describe it as fizzy and sprightly.

Delicious juicy mandarin (the orange, most likely) is the note that first lingers on the air when you open the bottle, which quickly dissipates into a warm rose/lily with a bare hint of that opening citrus. It’s not overly flowery or heavy. Anything very flowery tends to give me a headache, and this absolutely does not.
This is a gorgeous, sweet scent. It isn’t anything complicated – so don’t expect it to be. I only wish it had better longevity and sillage.
Still, I found it so pleasing, that I ordered a 3.5fl oz bottle to go along with my initial .33fl oz mini.

Opens up with a very distinct citrus tone – pleasant and punchy ! But in minutes it softens down to a wonderfull and soft orange note accompanied by a luscious sweetness.
This is a wonderful fragance and would not imagine such quality for a cheaper brand.
Unfortunately this wonderfull smell disapears very quickly.
This perfume is perfect for every age groups that as I love the scent of orange.
In One Sentence – A blessing from Citrus Heaven !

I wear this scent whenever I need to get moving. If I am dragging in the morning, or feeling particularly grouchy, a few drops of this perk up my senses and put a smile on my face.
I only really smell the pink grapefruit, and it’s a very ripe one. A grapefruit that isn’t “just right” has a bitterness to the scent, but this scent smells like that perfect luscious grapefruit you’ve been craving, with a teeny dusting of sugar on the top to dampen down any lingering sourness in the fruit. The drydown allows the grapefruit scent to step back, and the sugar (but just a smidge, not too much, nothing candy smelling) to step up. The sillage is moderate at best, and the longevity is pretty weak. I later it with The Body Shop’s Pink Grapefruit Body butter for longer wear, and I keep an atomizer in my purse so I can always refresh my attitude and give myself a little natural pep in my step.

If you like Gap So Pink, you’ll like this. I don’t own Sugar Grapefruit, I’ve just sniffed it while out shopping. It instantly reminded me of So Pink.

I just got this on clearance at PBTeen. It’s really nice – love at first spritz. It’s a clean, playful, flirty, sweet, and bright fragrance perfect for a day of fun. I haven’t worn it around my boyfriend yet but my guess is he’ll comment on it (that’s always a good thing with him.) It is not serious at all and sadly, doesn’t last long. I had to respray throughout the day but it’s a girly girl scent which made me feel young but not childish. I really like perfumes these days that don’t overwhelm with chemicals and induce headaches. This one is great. The sugar is sweet and the grapefruit is authentic and bright.

Once again Margot Elena has defied my expectations, this time with Love & Toast SUGAR GRAPEFRUIT. The very name doesn’t sound all that appealing to me, as I eat grapefruit sans sucre, but this perfumer basically never names her creations literally, so for all I knew this was going to smell like cucumber and basil. In fact, it does not. Instead, although it opens with a bright grapefruit citrus, it quickly transforms into an incredibly succulent fruity-floral fragrance which does not smell much like grapefruit at all. Does it smell like yuzu, perhaps? The lily is not at all dirty, and I thought that I detected jasmine, but what matters, in the end, is that the ensemble of notes here smells very nice.
As someone who generally finds mainstream fruity-floral frags pretty boring and unappealing, if not downright sickening (often because they are so very artificial and chemically), I am delighted by this totally natural-smelling composition, which is incredibly fresh and juicy and sweet without being too sugary. The last fruity floral I sniffed which was this good was Krigler SPARKLING DIAMOND, which costs several times more than anything in this line.
SUGAR GRAPEFRUIT is simply scrumptious. Yes, it is simple, but it is also a genuine pleasure to wear. Is it haute parfumerie? No, of course not. Nonetheless, I recommend this creation heartily to anyone who likes fruity-floral fragrances. Why wear one of the massively marketed chemical soups, when you could wear this?
