My friend gave me a decant of this and I admittedly had it to the side, trying other things first. I was scared of the melon.
The decant lid broke just as I was trying to decide what to wear, so I had 1mL in my hand as it leaked – what to do? I rubbed my hands together and ran it through my hair and lo and behold, I love it!
My hands still smell mildly of it and can I just say: lavender who? What, where, how? BUT it does come softly, and leaves the same way it entered. Repeats itself every so often and you’re always smelling that lightly aquatic melon and musk.
Quite beautiful and exceedingly well done. Full bottle worthy imo/

I love this. It doesn’t smell like I expect a lavender perfume to smell, but it does smell like lavender, if that makes sense–a Yardley toilet water or soapy lavender this is not. The fruitness gives it an almost over ripeness that I find very alluring. It doesn’t project overy far, but it lasts and lasts.

Just tried this today. At first spray, I really liked it. It was unusual, like a spicy kind of lavender. Not sure where that was coming from, maybe the incense note? So I liked it, but then it started to become cloying in my nose and made me feel kind of nauseous. It reminded me of the time I tried Rive Gauche and couldn’t stand it and no amount of scrubbing would get it off my wrist! This wasn’t quite as bad, but it definitely has staying power and I didn’t want it to stay!
After the initial spray, I didn’t get much lavender at all, which might be why I didn’t like it… Obviously incense notes aren’t for me.
I feel like I should like this, and I really wanted to because I love what the company is all about, using real flowers, fruits and spices, but I just didn’t.
Now Blood Oranges on the other hand..

I wore this for the first time yesterday. Every now and then I caught the scent in the air and honestly didn’t think it was me but the chap I was working with, I kept asking him if he was sure he was wearing what he said he was wearing because I kept getting a hit of Paloma Picasso EDP. Then I realised it was me. This perfume is really lovely. It’s a perfect unisex and I am delighted to have bought some although I now wish I had a bigger bottle and not the 30mls I purchased. It’s fresh but has staying power – I personally find you forego one for the other but this perfume is well balanced and I am super-impressed.
I think this is an all year round perfume. I am a fan of lavender but in moderation and this hits the spot, it’s not soapy on me or “old lady”, I believe it’s a modern and sophisticated take on lavender scents of yesteryear. Lovely and I highly recommend it.

Lovely fragrance. Nothing extraordinary, but very nicely done.
At first it is a little so-so, but it definitely grows on you. It’s a nice smell right from the start, but quite boring to me and I find it a tad too feminine at the beginning due to the melon note. It starts off sweet and fruity which can be quite nice in warmer weather…
The best part is the dry down as this is where the lavender/incense mix really kicks in and the fragrance seems it’s most wearable (from a male point of you).
I’d like this more without the melon to be honest, as I think it would be a great male fragrance for winter/fall if it lost the fruitiness and amped up the spices and incense. BUT still a very enjoyable fragrance as it is.
All year round scent
Totally unisex
High quality
Above average projection and longevity.
Do check out the others on offer from Shay and Blue. I’m sure they will be ones to watch…
