It opens with spiced woody cedar aroma with a hint of incense and C11 aldehyde (clean , leafy smell resembling fresh air mixed with coriander, not really my favourite part of the scent). Mid and base notesa are more smoky and resinous (incense, sandalwood and myrrh) with delicate accent of fennel. its the smoky, resinous notes that made me fall in love with this fragrance instantly. its very long lasting and truly envelopes the body in warm, sensual notes.

Newsletter is very faithful to its M&B brethren, with all the deep woods, the incense volutes and the spicy accents. I find the notes list very confusing, in that the flowers are totally out of this composition and the aldehydes are very, very thin, or maybe different from my conception of aldehydes.
What I smell is a solid cedar-incensey base, a very transparent resinous note in the middle (myrrh) which is probably the most interesting part of the fragrance, and finally some hint of vegetal interspection, courtesy of fennel (do not be scared of fennel: in small doses, it works).
Would I wear it? No, I find it too masculine. I already make an ecception for Oh OOOOooh oohh (again, masculine and high on marijuana, but more mellow and soft).
Would I smell it on my man and find him irresistibly edible? Yes, totally.
